Reviews
The hotel has a beautiful riverfront location and friendly staff, but there have been issues with fire incidents and maintenance. Some guests have reported poor customer service and hidden fees.

We will definitely stay here again

Comfortable bed.
- 5/5
We had a very pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This is my third stay at VRI. I love this place … clean, cozy, wonderful atmosphere, great food, and the best riverfront walking path on the west coast. My son attends U of O and we will stay here at every opportunity.
- 4.5/5
- big room - layout, with fridge and coffee maker near the sink - large counter space under the TV - beds were extremely comfortable - impressed with the different types of lighting - balcony! - cleanliness - amenities offered - location was amazing, close to shopping and freeway - restaurant onsite, great food/atmosphere, on the river - lobby is amazing, enjoyed spending time there - price could be a bit better but it was understandable given holiday weekend
- 5/5
The restaurant and its views as well The restaurant was closed one full day with nothing allowed from kitchen. Not even coffee. Perhaps set up a buffet style outside restaurant when this happens There's plenty of room and its easy to do. Over all love the place
- 5/5
This is a fantastic hotel! The room is spacious and clean! Dog friendly. Inside parking. Very comfortable!
- 5/5
This hotel is located right along the beautiful Willamette River and was a very nice and peaceful place to stay. It had the feel of an old lodge but the furnishings were very updated and clean. I only stayed one night but I will be back!!
- 5/5
Close to restaurants and the mall The pool wasn’t open yet so my granddaughter wasn’t happy about that
- 5/5
Very well kept, with nice spacious rooms that had modern touches such as headboard lamps/nightlights, desk outlets, and walk in showers. The balcony was somewhat small, but surved me very well for a nice dinner outside on the day it wasn't that cold. The sliding door let in plenty of natural light throughout the day. The front desk staff was very helpful, and many small items I needed throughout my stay were easily sent to my room or were handed to me at the desk. I didn't spend that much time in the lobby, but the time I did spend there was nice and plenty of seeting was found throughout. I didn't have much interaction with housekeeping, but the little that I did was fine and they seemed friendly.
- 5/5
Nice balcony, great gym, easy access to running track along the river, modern room

Everything was great! The staff was so friendly! The property was beautiful!
- 2/5
Exceptionally disrespectful and now our last visit to that facility.
- 5/5
Was a great place to stay clean, quit and had many options for places to eat
- 4.5/5
Was our second stay here in 7 days and this time they gave us a room on 1st floor in North Building. They gave us a room facing the courtyard instead of the parking lot which was greatly appreciated. Comfortable room and bed . Front desk employees friendly and helpful The shower didn’t drain that quickly

I loved the warm and cozy decor of the lobby, the cleanliness of the entire hotel including my room being perfectly cleaned, the location being right on the river makes it sooooo peaceful and the free shuttle service. The front desk staff was nice too and it’s located in a nice convenient area. Lastly, the restaurant ambiance was great with its beautiful river view, and the servers and hosts were absolutely delightful. They were so friendly and courteous. One of my favorite things was the tea pot in the room!!! It was adorable and there was a great selection of teas. As a tea drinker, I don’t often get that luxury in hotel rooms. I loved it so much that I want to return for a vacation with others and stay in Valley River Inn again. The restaurant servers and hosts were absolutely woooonderful but the food was not great. My medium well burger was not not medium well. It extremely dry and not well seasoned. But I was very hungry and don’t sending food back. I did inform the server and she was apologetic.
- 1/5
Can hear everything in rooms not even nearby, doors opening and closing all day and night. Clearly a known issue as earplugs with a sign are provided in room. 4 star hotel? I think not, save your money,
- 3/5
Not crazy about the restaurant/bar menu... would like to see better finger foods, maybe a hot spinach/cheese dip... some small things for eating at the bar. More variety for breakfast... a breakfast buffet would be fantastic. The whole restaurant is empty most of the time... you need something that brings people there. Nice size rooms.
- 3/5
Really expensive for nothing really. No part of breakfast or coffee or anything else is complimentary. For $200 to $500 a night you get a clean room and a not so great pour over coffee. You get more from flea bag motels i honestly expected more.

The Valley River Inn is amazing: 1) the staff understands customer service by always being helpful; 2) the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean; 3) the hotel provides daily refresh rather than the common every second or third day (or upon request); 4) the towels are large and soft; 5) the lobby and grounds are immaculate. In addition, the cost is competitive. I’m a Marriott rewards member. There’s a Marriott next door; however, I will always choose the Valley River Inn since their costs, quality of rooms, and staff are superior to the Marriott property. There’s absolutely nothing to complain about at the Valley River Inn.

If you have special needs due to disability, do not count on the staff to be very helpful. The staff there was one of the least helpful groups I have ever met without being outright rude. Not only could they not provide extra bedding for my caregiver, but they tried to charge me $150 for getting towels wet with water when I took a shower in my wheelchair. Nobody ever seemed available to discuss any charges with me or to allow me to dispute them. After seeing my disability, the hotel put a hold on my credit card that was 10 times the amount originally agreed upon without consulting me or letting me know. Nearly all of the charge was removed when I left. If you use a power wheelchair, the bed will be extremely low for you, but it’s probably just right for manual wheelchair users. The beds do allow for a Hoyer lift to roll underneath, but there is carpeting on the floor, making the use of a lift difficult. The roll-in shower is large and includes a fold down bench. Hoyer lifts can be rented nearby through a medical supply company for about $150.
- 5/5
Very nice newly remodeled! Large rooms!
- 5/5
Charming hotel that is centrally located and on a beautiful river with a path and adjacent park.
- 3/5
Clean hotel and friendly staff. Unfortunately sound travels easily through the upper floors. The water pressure in the shower was laughably anemic. I did not take advantage of other offerings here which I’m sure could add to the value. Unfortunately I won’t be back as I prioritize restful sleep and a good shower in the morning when I travel to Eugene on business.
- 5/5
It was clean and in a good location plus had great amenities. The pillows were too soft.
- 4/5
It was quiet and bed was good. It had nice amenities like ear plugs and a white noise machine, which we didn’t need. It was hard to find the elevator. Some detailed information would have been appreciated. We would stay there again.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. We have stayed here multiple nights during our travels. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and well kept. Sweetwaters restaurant is excellent, with a great menu and great drinks.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, plenty of parking, easy access to room. Room was clean and spacious.
- 5/5
The handicapped bathroom was excellent. I really appreciate having a built-in shower bench. The only thing I would suggest is a verticle grab bar by the entrance to the shower (near the bench) to help with getting in and out of the shower. The mattress had a low spot in the center, but overall the room was comfortable.
- 5/5
Property was clean and in a safe area

- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly and the location was perfect
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Clean. comfortable room Staff were friendly. My only criticism is that the walls between rooms are paper-thin. I had very noisy neighbours one night who were unable to close their door without slamming it. There's plenty in the neighbourhood around the hotel, a large shopping mall and several restaurants.
- 5/5
Nice room and beautiful property.
- 5/5
Great place. Texas Road House next door.
- 5/5
Nice recently updated room
- 4/5
Beautiful comfortable room with view of river. Bed super comfortable. Size of room great . Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. River walk right behind hotel with easy access. Shower was good and bathroom products great .Hallway noise minimal and can’t hear the people in the room next to us. Easy access from highway once you figured out the turns and a short ride to downtown . Could hear the people in the room above us walking around.

Clean beautiful rooms staff friendly and temperature of the room is nice and cool
- 5/5
Lovely large, clean rooms with nice balconies.
- 5/5
Nice and updated, good location
- 5/5
Everything about it was great.
- 3/5
I didn’t think it was worth the price paid. It was just okay, there was some weird blood on the floor in the corner of the bathroom (not in an area with foot traffic), and the coat hanger in the bathroom door was screwed in so far the screw popped out the other side. Fitness center was tiny. It’s on the river which is nice (bike path) but it’s adjacent to a big shopping mall/area. I will look for another place next time in Eugene
- 5/5
We had a river view room on the second floor. The room was large and had all the amenities. Very nice bathroom and shower. The view of the river was great. We will do this again.
- 2/5
We have stayed here before but this trip was not good. Paided up for this room and they gave us a handicap room. Not what I paided for. The bed was a mattess on top of a frame and piece of plywood. It was so flat and uncomfortable. The pillows deflated like balloons when you tried to use them. All not good for someone who need to be up at 3:30 to be at the airport by 5:00am. Very disappointing!!!
- 3/5
On the plus side, the room was clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. It is in a convenient location. We visit Eugene for a few days at least once per year, we will try another hotel on the next visit. We spent a lot expecting a lot and were disappointed overall.
- 5/5
Check house keeping for toiletries
- 4/5
Welcoming staff and great property hidden behind a shopping mall and on the lake. Restaurant on the lake was lovely. The only negative was the walls and floors are paper thin. But in their defense, the hotel is aware of it and has a white noise machine on the nightstand that really helped. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Super clean, super friendly, super beautiful, super food. Did I say super too many times?
- 5/5
Came for a long weekend they were very accommodating and very helpful. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. The location was great easy access to everything but far enough so it was nice and quiet in the evening.
- 5/5
Beautiful property by the river, easy late check in, comfortable room.
- 5/5
Very large rooms!
- 5/5
and a mall all across the street from the hotel. It is on the river too. Nice place for a vacation!
- 5/5
Very comfortable well laid out room. Enjoyed gorgeous view from Sweetwaters for brunch by the river. Will stay again.
- 2/5
They put us up in a room with a view of the parking lot and the highway. It was so loud! We asked to be moved and they eventually did. The original room should be converted to storage. It was insulting to think that we would be satisfied there. It was budget motel standards. The new room was beautiful but there was a loud dog barking in the next room.
- 1/5
Very unhappy with this stay paid $150 and didn’t have a shower to use. I wasn’t working. When I told staff they told me sorry. And nothing else
- 4/5
Just a little disappointed we ended up with special needs rooms due to a power outage.
- 5/5
Very clean and a pleasant stay.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, the side that is on river is nice the other faces a shopping mall and this takes away from the vibe. Restaurant is nice, and cocktails were good. Room was spacious, simple & clean.
- 5/5
Lovely property - convenient access to lots of activities. Great dining and fitness room. Super staff.
- 5/5
Location is the real value of the inn. It is located along the river with nice balcony rooms. The greenway/bike path in Eugene is right outside along the river. A great morning walk/run. Sweetwater restaurant was very good which is part of the inn
- 4/5
The hotel was convenient to the airport and to restaurants and shopping. The room was clean and comfortable. If we stay there again, we will stay on the 2nd floor, as it was difficult to go to bed early for a 6 am flight when you could hear every single footstep above us.
- 5/5
Roomy, quiet, bonus balcony, and helpful staff
- 5/5
Libby exceptional. Grounds beautiful! Bikes are available to use. It was a wonderful stay.
- 5/5
The room has been updated and everything was very clea.
- 3/5
Staff was rude bathroom was dirty
- 5/5
Lovely property. Large rooms. Loved the coffee setup with a heating water kettle which was great for tea and coffee.
- 4/5
Lovely location along the Willamette River. Food and service at Sweet Waters was great. Rooms are surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Sound travels so hallways were a bit noisy during housekeeping service. Staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary shuttle is not advertised but provides service within a five mile radius, when driver and vehicle is available. This was especially helpful! Thanks to Zach for transportation!
- 5/5
It is on or about a mall property which is super convenient, I guess. Several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel restaurant is wonderful as well. Have stayed here several times and plan to return.
- 4/5
Very nice
- 5/5
A wonderful 3-day stay at the Grand Dame herself, the Valley River Inn. From check-in to check out and every day in between, TVRI staff was cheerful, helpful and gracious. Love staying here when I’m in Eugene.
- 5/5
The bed was so comfortable and the shower had great pressure!
- 2/5
Despite making our reservation weeks in advance our specifically requested room. Room with a river view, was "overbooked" so I did not get the room. Only after requesting a discount did our room rate get reduced from the rate I was paying for the room with river view. Also the steamer/iron did not work in our room and the parking situation was really bad.
- 5/5
Lovely place with great staff right on the river
- 5/5
Clean room love the teapot with the options of tea or coffee. One thing is that the tub didn’t drain too well but overall everything was great and the bed was comfortable. The staff was super kind as well
- 5/5
Top shelf selection of Smith Teas and hot water kettle were a hit with my family.
- 5/5
Great room. Great location!
- 5/5
Exceptional all around service
- 5/5
I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the ducks. Very quiet and clean.
- 5/5
Hotel very clean, rooms spacious, property well maintained.
- 5/5
Lovely room with a door that led to a courtyard that I could take my pups out. Really friendly staff and great food at the restaurant . My only complaints are that the coffee in the room was a Teabag style and pretty awful, and there was only coffee for purchase in the lobby
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
The location on the river is amazing. The walking path is right outside your room. The customer service from the staff and the restaurant makes you feel right at home. We definitely will be back.
- 5/5
Great stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Sweet Water restaurant was very nice as well.
- 5/5
Excellent breakfeast
- 5/5
Beautiful location, very clean and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Excellent location, clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and lovely restaurant along the river.
- 5/5
Valley River Inn has become our favorite place to stay when visiting Eugene. The newly renovated hotel is charming, clean, spacious, and has great amenities. We enjoy having the restaurant & bar onsite. The location isn't one closest to UO or walkable areas, but with a car this place is just perfect. The river trail makes for a beautiful walk to Autzen, if inclined to walk.
- 5/5
Feels a little off the beaten path but still very accessible to the U of O, Autzen. Restaurant was delicious for breakfast. Lovely to be on the river. Nice looking pool, wasn’t open yet, but will be great during the hot months of Summer. Completely renovated, very cool vibe, lots of spaces to hang.
- 4/5
Beautiful room, very spacious, and the bathroom with the double shower head was awesome. The river view was really nice. The only downside was the mattress on the sofa bed-it was a real spring mattress. I didn’t even know those were still made. It was terribly uncomfortable. A hotel this nice should fork out the $100 to get a better quality item.
- 5/5
Price was a little high for the stay
- 5/5
Such a beautiful property. We will definitely stay here again. The rooms were spotless and decorated nicely. Great tea and coffee in room, and the clothes steamer was such a bonus.
- 5/5
Beautiful rooms along the river. Restaurant had an amazing breakfast. Definitely would stay here again.
- 5/5
I recommend dining at the Sweet waters restaurant at the hotel Nice atmosphere with excellent service
- 5/5
I was only there 1 night, but it was an excellent stay. I will make sure to go again if I am in Eugene again.
- 2/5
Plan on a LOUD experience in your room. We were woken by slamming doors in the hallways all morning and both mornings starting at 5am. We could also hear every word our neighbors were speaking in their own room next door. When we needed more time to check out to rest due to this, we were charged a late check out fee. Even though it was a Tuesday and the hotel was not even close to being full. On a better note, the grounds are beautiful and location great near the river and parks, and all the restaurant staff was lovely, especially Luci.
- 5/5
Service was awesome
- 5/5
This hotel was great. The location was convenient, easy to find, clean and updated. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Nice property, good location
- 4/5
Very comfortable and attractive and amazing location. My one complaint: no good coffee until 8 am-they have 24 hour coffee you can buy but it's a basic coffee vending machine that tastes like nothing. They have the room coffee but in the PacNW good roasted coffee onsite is a must. Otherwise great stay!
- 3/5
Neighbors were loud. No sound insulation.
- 4/5
In this particular room, the tv volume on hi was so low you had to pull up a chair right in front of it to hear what they were saying. The staff offered to change to a different room, but it was getting late and didn’t feel like packing up
- 5/5
I appreciate how the room rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful
- 5/5
The location was great and wonderful rooms. Right on the greenway and river!
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 5/5
Gorgeous location along the river. Clean and quiet. I will be back!
- 5/5
Can’t wait to stay again.
- 5/5
One night stay. Perfect convenient location. River walk was enjoyable.
- 5/5
The best hotel I've stayed in in Eugene. I'll stay here every time I come to Eugene
- 5/5
What a beautiful hotel with a lot of amenities that were unexpected, noise machine, ear plugs, etc. Nice shower, bed. No complaints other than shower in the evening was not hot but was in the morning.
- 5/5
Nice hotel in nice area of town
- 5/5
My favorite place to stay in Eugene.
- 4/5
I was on the second floor, and it was quite noisy from the people that were staying above me. The fact that they have ear plugs at the bedside and sound machine as well makes me think they’re aware of this. Probably would not stay here again due to the noise factor
- 5/5
Great staff, very supportive and great hotel
- 5/5
Excellent front desk staff that were always friendly and helpful. Peaceful ambiance and setting was the best of both worlds with bike trails along the river while also close to the mall and many food choices.
- 5/5
The only downside is there wasn’t a water fountain. Just plan to bring water with you or buy it at the front desk. Aside from that, staff was really friendly. We upgraded to a room with the River view and there was ample space and a good view. The room was clean and complimentary coffee was strong ( I loved it!). I would definitely recommend someone to stay here while they are visiting Eugene!
- 3/5
We were given a key to a room that had obviously not been cleaned. Fortunately an efficient maid opposite heard our call for help and we were given keys (blank!) to the next room down. How does this happen?
- 5/5
Really a lovely place and the staff was amazing.
- 5/5
I love this place so much! The location is a bit odd but the rooms and community spaces are so beautifully decorated and everything is super modern and clean! The restaurant is yummy and it’s super easy to grab a bike and explore the riverwalk! Also walkable to the mall and a lot of different food options!
- 5/5
Great restaurant and room is lovely as always!
- 5/5
Nice place to stay and convenient place for anything you want to do.
- 5/5
Room was huge, lots of space for my pup to run around. Room was clean and perfect for my wife and I!
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! Clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds!
- 5/5
We were greeted immediately upon reaching the front desk. Everyone was so pleasant! The room was spacious and immaculate! We decided to eat dinner in their restaurant in lieu of one of the nearby chain restaurants. Boy, were we glad we did! The service and food were amazing!
- 4/5
Rooms were nice especially the ones facing the river. Book that. Restaurant very good. We were there 5 nights and the constant thumping and ceiling "crunch" noise from the room above us was disturbing. No free coffee in the lobby. But they did have an airport shuttle which was helpful.
- 4/5
It was good
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
A
- 4/5
Nice clean rooms. Easy check in and they were helpful giving good directions to rooms (its a bit spread out, but easy to navigate). We had after dinner drinks in cozy bar area with great server.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean with a beautiful river view and the people were lovely.
- 5/5
We love this hotel. It’s our second time staying and it’s clean and comfortable. The river view rooms are a must!!
- 5/5
Nice location- great views
- 4/5
We were not told the pool is going to be closed and there was construction outside of our room at 8 AM every morning but other than that lovely place to stay
- 5/5
When you stay in Eugene stay here. You can't beat the river.
- 5/5
Great room with river view. Hiking trail right outside and an amazing breakfast. Love this place!
- 5/5
Hands down a beautiful hotel and restaurant! If I ever go back I will stay there again! I’m also going to let anyone I know about it.
- 4/5
No coffee
- 5/5
Bike path Along the river
- 5/5
Great property- clean- the hot water pot didn’t work for coffee in the morning but otherwise it was a great stay
- 4/5
Balcony with river view was nice and relaxing. Road noise from the highway was negative factor. Rooms were nice and large. Location was perfect close to everything we needed.
- 1/5
Hotel is not good. Staff dressed poorly and not helpful. On Saturday night of my stay, there was an event with music so loud it vibrated the walls. It went on for 5 hours - front desk assured it would end after an hour - it last 4 hours more. Made room impossible to be in. No apologies, no warnings, nothing. This place only exists because there aren’t many choices. That’s it. Way too expensive for what it is. I wanted a refund on the entire stay but the staff is so bad, I didn’t bother. Stay elsewhere. Horrid.
- 5/5
Nice size room with remodeled bathroom and balcony.
- 5/5
Was a great property, right on Wilamette River. Only downside was no continental breakfast. There a nice restaurant on site that was great.
- 5/5
Clean room and nice helpful staff.
- 5/5
The AC was strong and worked well and the room was very clean.
- 5/5
Super cool hotel, spacious rooms, cozy fireplace sitting area in lobby. Walk to the mall. The restaurant at the hotel is amazing. This was a hotel we returned to after staying before. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Tub did drain but the rest the room was great!
- 5/5
Breakfast not included. The Inn is on the Willamette river - very nice walks.
- 4/5
Great environment, nice and clean and nice staff.
- 5/5
Great atmosphere and restaurant
- 5/5
It was at a good location near restaurants & shopping. We ate at the hotel restaurant also & it was good. We would stay here again when visiting the area. The staff was very friendly & the place was clean.
- 4/5
The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was clean. The bed was super comfortable and it seemed fairly quiet for the most part. My only complaint is the door had a large gap at the bottom that I think contributed to being able to hear everything so when people came in late and were loud, it was like they were in the room with us. There’s also a train nearby that’s fairly loud. However, the hotel did provide complimentary ear plugs. Another plus was having Texas Roadhouse across the lot from the hotel. I’d stay here again.
- 5/5
Place was wonderful. Housekeeping services not the greatest
- 4/5
Great place for families, sports teams, college visits to UofO. Super clean, nice restaurant, large rooms, some have balconies which face the river and overall plenty of space to roam, take a break and recharge when traveling as a family and team. Super nice gathering area for team meetings, meals or relax with a glass of wine at the end of the day in front of the fireplace.
- 3/5
The beds were comfy, the room was nicely appointed. We stayed in a studio suite, that opened to the parking lot and the screen door was ripped … bugs. The parking lot outside our slider was not accessible to park the car, so that wasn’t helpful. The staff was nice.
- 4/5
Hotel was lovely, clean, and comfortable, but we heard every footstep of the people in the room above us.
- 1/5
Upon check in, was not greeted. Stood there for about five minutes without any acknowledgment. Once acknowledged, was very unpleasant. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Water temperature and pressure was very low. Checkout was not any better than check in. Would not recommend!
- 5/5
It’s a beautiful hotel. Love it
- 5/5
Did not eat breakfast, but shuttle to airport was awesome.
- 5/5
We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport. Everything was new and modern. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the king bed was comfortable, the hot water kettle for coffee/tea was simple to use, bottled water was provided, and it was near many food options. We had an early flight and no issues checking out at 2am. Would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing, staff was always kind and helpful. This is our second time staying there and won't be our last.
- 5/5
This is a very nice motel. Excellent location and all the amenities..
- 5/5

- 5/5
This is my second stay at Valley River and each experience was outsranding.
- 4/5
Our room was very nice and the staff was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Only issue we had with being on the ground floor was hearing the people above us walking around.
- 4/5
Beautiful room. We weren't there long but enjoyed the nice bed and pretty decor. Only complaint was that we had to pull our suitcases up several stairs even though we were on the first floor.
- 5/5
Loved my room by the river
- 5/5
Very welcoming to pets! It's an older property, but they do a decent job maintaining it. Large rooms right off the riverwalk. Nice restaurant and bar on property with lits of options.
- 5/5
This is my family and my favorite hotel in Eugene. Reasonable rates, great property and central location for whatever bring you to town!
- 3/5
The room was in good condition but not fully clean. The staff was nice but not super helpful. We didn't use any of the amenities as we were just passing through.
- 5/5
The room was spotless, staff were friendly and the vibe was relaxing!
- 5/5
The Hotel is great! Proximity to good restaurants and the mall. Plus they have they're own restaurant. Grin what I hear it's what a great place to eat. I didn't get to enjoy it this time around. The room was very clean. Comfy bed. The late night staff is amazing. Super friendly. I would be leaving to the job site where I was working at and they always had a smile and good morning for all. Special shout out to Zack. Great guy and was always doing and going above and beyond. Thank you sir.

Everything about this place was EXCELLENT!! Very helpful and friendly staff! Very clean. Gorgeous and relaxing atmosphere! I live in Yachats, Oregon and had a flight leaving Eugene at 5:30am. That’s why I decided to drive to Eugene to stay the night before my flight to Atlanta. I was definitely impressed with everything about River Valley Inn. I have already recommended to my family that, when they come to visit each summer and have early flights going back to the East Coast, they should stay at River Valley Inn the night before, instead of making the 2 hour drive from Yachats to Eugene in the very early morning hours of their flights. I know that I will definitely be back on the nights before my flights out of Oregon! Plus, there are so many great places to dine out close to the Inn! Thank you for a wonderful stay!💯

- 5/5
accessible, clean & courteous experience
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful and the room was very clean.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was great. I had 1 irritating issue. There was 1 singular plug inbetween the 2 queen beds. The USB and USB C plugs did not work. So I had my cpap machine on the night stand and we all had to charge our phones across the room or in the bathroom. There is no clock in the room and not being able to have our phones on the night stand ment we had no idea what time it was at night. Thei was an inconvenience to both my wife and me.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel, best in Eugene!
- 5/5
Clean large room
- 5/5

- 5/5

We will definitely stay again when passing through on our travels.

Housekeeping was great when we needed some extra towels for the kids. Loved being able to walk out to the river.

Room and staff were both amazing. Thank you all!
- 5/5
Large, impeccably clean rooms, over the top accomadating staff.
- 5/5
This was such a great stay starting from the initial encounter walking in at 11pm to the checkout. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and warm which was appreciated when coming in from 30 degree weather. This experience gave all an upscale feel.
- 5/5
Clean. Great location. The restaurant was very good for dinner.
- 5/5
Updated VRI is superb!
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Shuttle service was amazing. I will be coming back again and only stay here due to shuttle service. Also the hotel was very clean and nice.
- 4/5
Nice size of rooms, loved the seating at the makeup counter in the bathroom.
- 5/5
the room was super nice with surprise amenities that my partner and i didn’t expect
- 3/5
3.5 stars. It had a needs updating feel to it.
- 5/5
Spotless room and very well maintained throughout. The hotel was quiet, which made for a relaxing stay, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The staff were courteous, friendly, and genuinely helpful whenever needed. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would gladly stay here again.
- 5/5
room was great staff were all nice
- 4/5
Clean rooms, nice restaurant and bar, and the river view is great.
- 2/5
The noise level was out of control. You could hear everything. We did not get a good night sleep
- 4/5
The stay was very good, but two of my relatives stayed there also and used Expedia and they had to pay a lot more than what I did. One of them paid almost twice the amount that I paid why is that?😩
- 3/5
Room key failed twice requiring reloading vehicle and driving back to front desk. Housekeeping missed our room so we were left with full trash bins and no coffee. Called for clean towels, they were delivered promptly. Staff is very polite.
- 4/5
a great place to stay
- 5/5
Staff was great

- 5/5
Nice lobby and Christmas decorations were much appreciated
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and the property is perfect. Love the location, parking and amenities.
- 5/5
Comfortable and spacious room, kind and attentive staff, and the Sweetwater Restaurant had delicious food and incredible service!
- 5/5
Great room! They've figured out all the details to make sure you have all the little extras. Beautiful view.
- 4/5
The room is clean and staff
- 4/5
The food at Sweet Waters is delicious and staff are friendly at Valley River Inn. The ambience of the hotel is wonderful including the rooms which are spacious. The beds however, are not comfortable and too had. I have stayed three times and I wake up feeling not rested and stiff. If you stay on the level floor, be prepared to hear creaking from upstairs. In general, the walls seem to be extra thin.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room, great view!
- 5/5
Great place!
- 4/5
Location, felt safe and the view
- 3/5
I stay here quite often, but this was my first stay with my dog. The $70/stay for a pet fee is high enough that it will
- 5/5
From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out it was the best service we have had throughout our stay. Room was spotless and very very clean. Bed was comfortable and the river view was excellent!
- 4/5
The room and the river view was great. The bed was uncomfortable tho and the staff seemed unconcerned about that. But overall it was good.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, nice place, will stay again.
- 5/5
Beautiful and convenient location.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Beautiful and convenient location. All the amenities you could want. Always my go to spot in Eugene.
- 3/5
There was a MAJOR sugar ant problem. They were on the bathroom counter, floor, night stand, etc... It was terrible.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, very friendly and accommodating staff, delicious food at the restaurant. Will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Yes room was spottless
- 4/5
Good staff and very close to University of Oregon. The hotel restaurant was not the best and parking is kind of difficult.
- 5/5
Room was big and clean. Staff was awesome and helpful.
- 5/5
Exceptionally clean rooms very friendly staff and excellent food choices d in the restaurant!
- 5/5
We were not offer free breakfast at the time . And they dont offer any discounr on the restaurant.
- 4/5
Clean room, bed was soft and low to the ground but oddly comfortable. Very large sized rooms. Nice to have a microwave and fridge. Glad they provide complimentary ear plugs because the walls are thin and can hear people walking upstairs.
- 3/5
This hotel was very nice, clean, and the remodel looks great. However, we were on the second floor and you could tell the true age of this property when we could here every foot step, creek, bump, and rustling in the room above us. It made it hard to sleep. Next time we would ask for the top floor.
- 3/5
The tv had a maximum loud amount that could not be changed, per the hotel--we could hardly hear the programs we watched, which is not good
- 5/5
As soon as you walk in the lobby area is beautiful, clean, and just lovely. Check-in process was quick and easy. The staff was very nice and helpful with questions. Will stay again for next volleyball season.
- 5/5
Clean facility and friendly. Spacious
- 5/5
Clean room and nice cocktail lounge. Hotel in great shape.

We stay here everytime we come to Eugene! Its always a great time!
- 5/5
Room was very clean & modern and comfortable
- 5/5
Will definitely stay here again next time we're in Eugene!
- 5/5
Room was very nice and staff was great. My husband has special dietary restrictions and they went above and beyond to get him a gluten free breakfast.
- 5/5
Check in was very fast and efficient. Staff is very friendly. Restaurant is wonderful!
- 5/5
Ost
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Nice rover view. Great staff.
- 2/5
Restaurant and lounge were closed and that was not communicated to me before booking. The building is old wood frame, and very loud with creaking floor joists and subfloor, thus not much sleep on either night of my stay. Room was clean and lobby was nice.
- 3/5
Staff was excellent. The room was spacious, but missing separate shower and water pressure was very low. Otherwise, ok, but not particularly great.
- 3/5
The restaurant was closed for remodeling. One of the reasons I wanted to stay there was to have a few drinks and dinner without having to drive or walk anywhere.
- 5/5
Valley River Inn was great! I stayed over Christmas while visiting family. The room was spacious, modern and clean. The staff was helpful. The decor was beautiful, and the restaurant and bar are first class.
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 5/5
Rooms are large, clean and well maintained. Stayed 3 nights and house keeping did a great job of cleaning and replenishing coffee etc.
- 5/5
Everything in this hotel is simply outstanding. The room cleanness, the staff, the lobby, the location are all beyond amazing. I’m very happy that we stayed in this place.
- 5/5
Room very clean, staff was above average. good price. Thank you.
- 5/5
Clean, large room, no breakfast provided, charged for lobby coffee.
- 4/5
Check-in was fine; however, I asked what time the restaurant closed, and the clerk explained that there had been storm damage and it was closed. I then had to ask about breakfast and was told there was none. All well and good, but it would have been good customer service to add that to the hotel confirmation it sent via text. It would also have been basic customer service to explain up front and offer the coffee and pastries for sale in the Lobby as a small substitute. The Inn has the makings of a high-end property and some of the thoughtful details shine through, it just dropped the ball on the check-in and breakfast.
- 5/5
The rooms are very large and comfortable! Our Deluxe King room had a couch and table as well with still plenty of space in the room. Large tv's and very comfortable beds. We were very happy with our stay!
- 4/5
Clean room and courteous staff
- 5/5
Very clean, comfortable and updated hotel. Lovely location. Was blown away that they had a Fellow water kettle and Smith Teas in the rooms. Super nice amenities. Enjoyed our stay.
- 1/5
On arrival, one clerk said they just rented their last rollaway, the manager said they don’t offer them. We asked for extra sheets so our youngest could sleep on the floor. They didn’t have them. They don’t provide hand soap in the bathroom! What is that!? Also, the restaurant and bar were closed for the week for renovations. Would have been great to know that since that was a main selling point for us. To make up for the confusion on the rollaway, the manager offered us some credits to the snack area. When I went to use them the next morning the clerk said she saw nothing on our account and offered no solution. The entire staff seemed inexperienced and lacked any kind of actual customer experience skills other than saying “sorry.” The rooms aren’t bad — normal at best — but would never recommend staying here at this price point.
- 5/5
We were there for the USC - Oregon game. We (USC) lost but our stay at Valley River Inn was a big win! Room was large and clean with many amenities such as double sinks, coffee, tea, large TV, balcony and convenient and free parking. Hotel is across from a mall and many restaurants. We were walking distance to Autzen Stadium. Willamette River runs right outside the restaurant which had a great menu, service - and the bar was fantastic! Great martinis, Manhattans after the game! Nice, large fireplace in the lobby area - was perfect for a nightcap!
- 1/5
We were on the first floor; guests above us were partying all night till at least 2 am. I’m not sure how many people were in the room, or if drugs were involved, since we could hear the toilet flushing all night as well. Management refused to do anything. It was a horrible experience. Never again!!!!
- 5/5
Beautiful lobby and rooms are roomy, clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable as well.
- 5/5
Room was spacious and Tommy at the desk was great
- 5/5
Wonderful room and stay
- 5/5
I was just passing through town and my stay there was better than expected. Wonderful employees and a shopping complex and restaurants within walking distance. That being said I ate at the Hotel restaurant and it was very good.
- 5/5
Awesome place to stay, they also helped me with my engagement!
- 5/5
Very clean and cozy with a beautiful view.
- 5/5
Front desk was welcoming and friend. Room was clean.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Rooms were very clean, spacious and comfy. Staff was very friendly and accommodating even with our service dog. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. Amenities are very nice and clean.
- 5/5
The space and comfort of the rooms are incredible. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Gym was fully stocked and clean. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
- 4/5
The room was spacious, updated, and very clean. The shower pressure was amazing. Very nice place! If I could give partial stars I’d say 4.75.
- 5/5
This property is gorgeous. The lobby is extravagant. The view of the river is a treat. The room itself is clean and filled with luxury amenities, including a smart tv that you can use your own streaming services. Breakfast was not provided for free but the in hotel restaurant was delightful.
- 5/5
Great experience and will be staying here again in the future. Spacious clean rooms, friendly/helpful front desk, and all the ammenities that I would need in a stay.
- 3/5
Water pressure was poor, several outlets in the room did not work, and after requesting a bathtub 5+ times, the front desk associate decided to place me in a room with a shower. Front desk also disappeared for 3+ hours overnight while trying to make a purchase.
- 3/5
The rooms were clean and had the mini fridge and microwave as i asked. They were located in front of bathroom door and in the bathroom it would get steamy from shower with no fan.. I would probably not get a room where kitchen is literally in the bathroom. Otherwise it was good for the price. The hallway to get to my room had a terrible smell like a barn smell the entire stay also.
- 5/5
Clean room. Conveniently located. Staff very helpful
- 4/5
The room was spotless and very comfortable. We enjoyed the ample space and the view of the Willamette. The staff at the front counter were courteous and very friendly.
- 4/5
Room was clean and very nice. Bed was too low to the ground for my liking but that could’ve been just our room. Food at the restaurant was very good. Lots of stores in the area within walking distance. I would recommend staying here.
- 4/5
The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean.
- 5/5
Great amenities and staff were extremely accommodating and friendly!
- 5/5

- 5/5
All was wonderful
- 5/5
Staff is always friendly. Clean comfortable rooms.
- 4/5
Staff was courteous
- 5/5
Amazing overall for the price
- 1/5
On Expedia and list of amenities included airport shuttle and free parking. Then this morning they said parking is $12 per night. This wasn't on my receipt or the website. I am very disappointed as that is the reason this hotel was booked.
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
Clean room, excellent staff
- 5/5
A large, clean and comfortable room
- 5/5
AC was excellent and easy to control and relatively quiet
- 5/5
Hidden gem. In town for a short trip and always try different places. This was a first visit and I don’t plan on going anywhere else in the future. An absolute gem of a property, beautiful river views, the staff could not have been more gracious and kind. I was traveling by myself and felt perfectly safe the entire time as well. If you’re in the area, definitely could not recommend it more!
- 5/5
Clean big rooms. Booked a room facing the Willamette River and the was great. Plenty of dining option, besides Sweet Waters, the restaurant in the hotel.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Rooms are remodeled and hit all the special features. Pour over coffee is my favorite. Staff is outstanding. Friendly and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. Restaurant and bar staff exceptional. Again service and food are A+. Beautiful location overlooking the River. Feels like you are in a rustic area although you are next to the mall. Will stay there again. Thank you for a great stay.
- 5/5
Probably one of the best stays in Eugene. It is modern and clean.
- 4/5
Lovely sized room, clean and easy to sleep in. Only issue was finding your room each time you came back from being out. Large place lots of rooms and different buildings.
- 5/5
The staff is amazing here! So friendly and accommodating. Excellent hotel for a group. Beautiful setting, rooms and property
- 3/5
Rooms were modern and large. Staff was friendly! WiFi was subpar and didn’t work as they “had too many people on” Food was okay. Snack bar area and coffee options not the greatest. We got the lobby made lattes and they were not very good. Walls were thin and could hear alot.
- 5/5
Great property and amenities. Staff was caring and always attentive. Clean and restful rooms.
- 5/5
Beutiful views, great food and friendly attentive staff.
- 5/5
No breakfast included
- 5/5

- 5/5
Clean room and great amenities!
- 5/5
Beautiful. Everything felt cozy, and stylish. the room was very large. The bed was comfortable. There were ample amenities. The breakfast is for purchase in the restaurant which is beautiful. The menu options were fantastic.I loved that there were multiple healthy options instead of the basic american style junk. Lots of shopping and other dining options all around. This is a place I would recommend to friends and family
- 5/5
The remodel of Valley River iInn is wonderful. Nice to be able to return to this motel that we’ve enjoyed for so many years in the past. Room was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely return on our next trip to Eugene. Go Ducks!!
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable, clean and the staff was genuine and welcoming.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Spotless and very comfortable beds!
- 5/5
Pleasant staff, beautiful lobby and room.
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay!
- 5/5
Great property
- 1/5
Early in the morning, I woke up with two bugs on me, and later noticed another bug in the bathroom, which I took a photo of. This occurred around 3:00 a.m., and I ended up checking out and leaving the hotel by 4:30 a.m. due to the situation.
- 4/5
Safe parking is limited based on the room quantity at the hotel. The staff provided good customer service and the check in was efficient.
- 5/5
Friendly and efficient front desk, hotel ambiance, felt like I'm at a ski lodge, will definitely stay when in Eugene
- 5/5
They did a great job with the remodel. A room with a river view makes for such a relaxing stay when you are at the hotel
- 5/5
All perfect
- 5/5
Room was beautiful, bathroom floors are heated! Plus, I just discovered they have a Park and Fly program which is wonderful.
- 2/5
Paid for a river view but when we checked-in they said not available and couldn't do anything about it because I had used a third party to make the reservation! I had planned the trip to spend time with a dear friend. We had no other plans but to spend the days catching up and enjoying the river view and were very disappointed to have a view of the stupid parking lot when we were at the VALLEY RIVER INN to not the PARKING LOT INN.
- 5/5
Interior design concept. They had a roaring fireplace and beautiful christmas tree staged next to the black grand piano as we checked in. It was perfect for us to sit near the fireplace after dinner with the family. We had a beautiful river view King Room. Huge and spacious, very clean, small but big enough refrigerator with freezer and a small microwave. They only suggestions is to get rid of that funky steeper tea pot and the packets of really not coffee looked like chocolate almond, something or other. Put in a traditional little coffee pot or keurig type unit! We did discover that you can buy coffee at the lobby desk for 2.50 per cup and a beautiful selection of pastries. The coffee was very good. The only real drawback is that the king view suites have a common door connected to the neighboring suite. You could hear everything between those doors. We could even hear when they flushed the toilet, not to mention the couple next door fighting and using the f word. Fortunately, they checked out.And we still had another night of a quiet couple. Other than their toilet flushing lol! We had dinner reservations at the sweetwater restaurant located within the hotel and it was absolutely delicious. Beautiful dining room and very upscale. A number of restaurants within walking distance as well. We will be back, no adjoining room
- 5/5
Very nice large room
- 5/5
Nice and convenient hotel.
- 1/5
Customer service was condescending and subpar, will never stay here again.
- 5/5
I believe that breakfast should be included

This is my go to for hotels in Eugene. It is very close to campus but feels much more luxurious than the other three places I stayed.
- 5/5
Clean room great entry hall , pleasant staff .We definitely will stay here again
- 5/5
Perfectly located. Easy access to the airport, shopping, dining and events.
- 5/5
Clean and pretty grounds
- 3/5
The guy at check-in wasn’t a friendly person. Didn’t explain anything, go to sign my credit card and there’s an extra $100 on there, then he explained why. Just not a good employee. If you hate your job, go somewhere else.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Great staff beginning with check in and all others throughout our stay. Room was excellent.
- 5/5
Attractive hotel, clean, spacious room, nice staff (Shawna at the front desk was very helpful!), good restaurant, and a beautiful view of the river (recommend this upgrade).

Very nice room
- 5/5
The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and modern. The shower was especially nice and I loved the balcony overlooking the river. The food, and especially the cocktails, in the SweetWater restaurant were excellent.
- 4/5
The room was clean, and the staff were friendly. The mattress is older and pretty firm, and could use an upgrade.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Nice and clean hotel.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Beautiful room. Breakfast was great.
- 5/5
Beautiful and clean rooms. The service was excellent. We had a wonderful room that overlooked the river. Great locations to lots of amenities. We had dinner at the restaurant Sweet River and had a great experience there too. If we're ever back in the area we would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Comfortable room and great restaurant and common areas. Worth traveling the extra couple of miles.
- 5/5
Spacious room, efficient staff, great location
- 4/5
The rooms were very clean. The staff was helpful, and our room was quiet, no noise from the neighbors. I am not sure if our do not disturb sign fell off the door or was ignored but on our third day we did notice that the staff had entered our room. They could also have cleaned off the balcony of spiderwebs a little better.
- 3/5
Staff was ok not the best
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Clean rooms. Courteous staff. Conveniently located. I would recommend.
- 5/5
Clean updated room. Lobby updated
- 4/5
Great hotel and we appreciated the size of the room for 4 people as it did not feel tight with all of us in the room. We had a river view which was nice to sit on the balcony and have a drink. The only feedback is that it would be great to have a hot tub or heated pool to hangout after a chilly day, we were in the second floor and could hear the people above us whenever they were walking around which was slightly annoying when trying to sleep.
- 3/5
The front desk staff wasn’t the friendliest. They advertise a heated pool but don’t tell you it’s seasonal.
- 5/5
Our room was clean and had a nice array of coffee and tea choices. The beds were super comfy too. And we had the river view so the sunsets were a nice treat to see.
- 5/5
Big, comfortable room.
- 4/5
Nice amenities
- 4/5
Lots of space big rooms
- 4/5
Staff was good, room very good.
- 5/5
Such great staff, beautiful river view, very clean with comfortable beds.
- 4/5
The views are wonderful from every room. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful. The property is older so it’s dated a bit, the bathroom lighting was a little dark but it worked for what we needed. Free continental breakfast is nice as well. Great location, access to a walking path as well as the trolley.
- 4/5
Rooms, staff and restaurant.
- 2/5
Staff at the front desk were unwelcoming and took an inordinately long time to check us in because we had pre-paid with Expedia (approximately 25 minutes to check in). Staff in the restaurant were slow and not helpful when our dishes did not arrive as described in the menu. In both cases, the staff behaved as though we were inconveniencing them.
- 5/5
Always a nice, stress free visit.
- 5/5
Clean room and very polite staff.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Lovely upgrades have been made since my last stay. Only one complaint, bathroom fan is really loud and is permanently on.
- 5/5
Love the room
- 5/5
Everything
- 4/5
The river view was fantastic. The food at Sweet Water was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, although it was not very sound-proofed. I could easily hear the conversation and snoring coming from next door.
- 5/5
Great hotel with character. Very clean.
- 5/5
All good.
- 5/5
Staff was kind Room was Amazing
- 5/5
Super clean, attentive staff, and great food.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Great room, service and stay
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Large, clean room. Very comfortable.
- 5/5
Very clean room, breakfast was awesome and I most certainly compared with eateries close by. Dinner was also great and very well priced breakfast and dinner. Bar drinks are amazing and very well priced. GREAT staff. Air conditioning in room was iffy and waking up in the middle of the night very warm. That truly was the only issue.
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
The room was very clean, everything looked brand new, the staff was very kind, fast check-in process, very efficient. The hotel itself is gorgeous, I would definitely come back!
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Really nice rooms & staff
- 5/5
Gorgeous property and area. Staff is friendly.
- 3/5
Nothing special! The photos make the rooms look much bigger. The linens are not premium as mentioned in the description. Some sort of breakfast would have been appropriate given the rate.
- 5/5
My stay in Valley River Inn, was the best. This is the 3rd time I stayed in this hotel and I always wanted to come back. The staff is amazingly kind.
- 5/5
Very nice Hotel we really enjoy the room we have and the view of the river in our experience at the restaurant. The first of the reception was a little bit rude to put it lightly but other than that everything was good.
- 5/5
The beds were comfortable, the maid service was excellent and thoughtful, the staff was friendly and competent
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. View of the river was strictly okay. Breakfast was decent and not too overpriced.
- 5/5
no breakfast, coffee in room wasn't the best, wish there was free drip coffee with and w/o caffeine for guests. Had to purchase cup of coffee, I understand if not wanting plain coffee, but felt that was a small disappointment.
- 3/5
The beds are kinda hard for my liking.

Stayed for a night, conference hotel feel, didn’t try out the restaurant, worked just fine, no complaints and an easy uber into downtown for an event at a much better price all around
- 5/5
Excellent, clean room with a spectacular view of the river. We enjoyed our morning walks along the extensive path parallelling the river.

Great property
- 3/5
Room was clean, had a great view of river and a small balcony. They need to have end tables on both sides of the beds for phone charging and a book. Also would be great to have a lamp in middle of beds on that table. Service was great. Restaurant has very nice breakfast and great bar at night.
- 3/5
The room had 2 issues. The tv sound changed volume on its own and the shower head was misdirected and not adjustable.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 3/5
The room and bed were comfortable, the location was close to the highway. But the only luggage carts were at the lobby even though the property was very spread out. This was very inconvenient. The TV volume was broken, we could hear the train and highway noise, and the rooms weren’t very soundproof. The restaurant looked great but closed too early for us.

We loved our stay. It was our first trip to Eugene to check out the college for our senior. With so many choices around the area, we were glad to have stayed at Valley River Inn. Check in and out were a breeze. The facilities were clean and well appointed and maintained. Safety was never compromised even as the hotel is close to shopping centers, walking/biking paths, freeways etc. The restaurant on site was amazing. Hostesses were accommodating, server was delightful and knowledgeable about the cuisine (husband is a chef and appreciates this), and the dining area was thoughtfully designed. The only minor issue is that our flight was very early and so we were not able to receive an itemized receipt at check out. If you need proof of expenditure for work or other write offs, this should be planned for ahead of time. No big deal and we will definitely return!

I really love this place, and I feel so safe, the River view is lovely, they have bikes to ride, and a lovely pool. And the breakfast served in the restaurant is wonderful and priced very well.
- 3/5
Unfortunately, service was hit-or-miss. We had a surly guy check us in, despite being quite nice to him. Check out was better. Unfortunately, our room was kinda old. The door didn't work without slamming it shut, the screen door to the outside wasn't much better. And you could hear everything next door and upstairs.

Nice property, if a bit far from campus (not walking distance). Clean rooms, well maintained property. My husband went down to the bar for a drink before we left for dinner, sat at the bar for about 5 minutes, and no one greeted him or said “we’ll be right with you”, didn’t even acknowledge him. It wasn’t that busy. He decided to leave. Other than that, we had a positive experience.

While it had the name “Inn” in the title, it certainly is not. Fantastic experience all around - definitely our new favorite place to stay while visiting Eugene!
- 5/5
Great option for Univ of O visits! We will be back!

Clean. Large room.
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff and nice breakfasts in the restaurant. We were not aware of a free breakfast
- 5/5
It was all wonderful, can’t wait to stay there again
- 5/5
Large room with sofa
- 4/5
Our room was near the end of the hall where there was a seating area in the hallway. People tended to sit there to visit and it was very noisy. The women who helped us with checkin seemed to be bothered that someone was there to wait on. Overall, the stay was just okay.

Old big footprint hotel

Excellent

Only complaint is coffee at the front desk was not good. I get its most likely an operating cost matter, but still..did not like the coffee, that needs to change.

Clean room

All pet rooms should be in one area.

Beautiful room on river. Many small touches (steamer, microwave, kettle) and spacious.

Beautiful property that’s been rebuilt since they’re fire. Wonderful place to stay, many great dining options, and seating areas with fireplaces.
- 5/5
Nice clean room. Friendly staff and comfortable design throughout the hotel.
- 5/5
We had an early flight and this one had shuttle service, but it only begins at 5:30AM, so be careful of flight times. The place was wonderful and the staff was even better. Next time we're in Eugene we will always stay here!

The room was big enough for 4. It was clean and well maintained. The front desk was friendly ans accomodating!!

Everything Great

All the above

The biggest issue we had, and it’s not fault of the staff, or facility, but it’s just an older hotel, it was very loud. The walls are paper thin. We heard our neighbors conversation. We also hear his alarm going on continuously at 3:30am. We heard very loud conversations in the hallway at 4am. This is not somewhere I’d choose to stay again unfortunately.

Nice hotel.

We originally booked and paid for one night through Expedia. When we decided to extend our stay by one night, we were told no additional nights were available. Oddly, we were still able to make a new reservation for two nights at the same hotel. That should have been our first clue that something wasn’t right. We then attempted to cancel and refund the original single-night reservation through Expedia, but the hotel denied the request. When we spoke with the front desk and management directly, they brushed it off — saying, “Just request a refund through Expedia and we’ll approve it.” The problem is, we had already done exactly that, and it had been denied by them. No one took ownership or made an effort to actually fix the issue. To make matters worse, during our stay we kept receiving automated alerts for the unused reservation. It felt like a small thing, but it really highlighted how disconnected the management team is from the guest experience. It’s unfortunate, because the hotel itself is lovely. But the lack of accountability and customer care will make us consider competitors the next time we’re in Eugene.

Very friendly staff, large rooms, and a great bar atmosphere. You can't beat the patio dining view along the river. Enjoyed the separate coffee bar at the front desk for a quick grab n go option.

Hotel is very cute, love the decor, river views, clean rooms and restaurant in the lobby was convenient. There was some loud guest next door to me which made it difficult to sleep but it eventually quieted down. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Refurbished hotel is beautiful. All staff very helpful.
- 4/5
The only hiccup in my stay was the room next door. There was an adjoining door, and this must've allowed more sound in. I was woken up over an hour earlier than I would have liked (on a Sunday) by what sounded like 4 or 5 people talking animatedly next door. Next time I stay, I will be asking for a room that DOESN'T have a door between rooms for family access.
- 3/5
Coffee in room was not good. Room was very noisy in the am.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond service wise. Our room was very spacious and we had everything we needed.

Great location with restaurants nearby and also right along the north river trail.

Huge, modern rooms. Walls are thin but they have white noise machines next to the bed that actually do make a difference. Great location

Will stay there next time I go to Oregon
- 5/5
Lovely overnight stop

Room was comfortable and clean. View of river was lovely. The last two times we have stayed there we have been disturbed by loud neighbors in the next room. Walls are pretty thin for that type of behavior.
