Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff, particularly the front desk clerks. Its location is also highly appreciated, being close to the University of Oregon and various dining options. However, the property is frequently described as old, worn, and in need of repairs and updates. Issues with noise, both from other guests and the heating/cooling units, are also common complaints.

One step above sleeping in your car. I was told I was getting a room with a kingsize bed and got a fullsize bed with a very very old mattress. Room was way in the back by some noisy ongoing motors, outside lights all night and a 2am wake with garbage pick up. Two lights in room did not work. Amenities were very very lacking. Breakfast was inedible to include old boiled eggs and unhealthy bread options. Prices were outrageously priced at almost $300 a night for a $50 room.
- 4/5
Breakfast was good.
- 3/5
The location is excellent for attending events at Hayward Field. It’s an easy walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The motel is an old style and has been refurbished and is clean. However, the shower faucet did not work well. There was no convenient place to utilize the small coffee maker and it did not have suitable coffee pods for the unit. The towels were small, thin, and rough after years of washes. The breakfast was scant and items were not easily accessible. Again, the location is ideal and may be worth the cost. For us, it was this time.
- 5/5
We liked the quiet, the pool, coffee. Breakfast bar was decent. Check in was good. Overall would recommend!
- 1/5
The room was clean, but it had a terrible smell. I’m almost positive it was the microwave, I asked for it to be removed and they said they couldn’t take anything out of the room and offered me an air freshener. The A/C only worked for the first few hours I was there also. I asked to switch rooms but was informed they already had acute guest needing to switch rooms. In the end I found a different hotel and did not finish my stay.

- 3.5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was a solid continental breakfast style with some decent options. The facility is a little dated, but met our needs. Also, bedside lighting was WAY too bright.
- 5/5
Great stay. We will be back for sure.
- 5/5
Close to downtown, walking I distance and close to a good bar for eating. Clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
The location was good and the breakfast better than expected. The beds were comfortable but the half pillows not as much. The bathroom was tiny and the parking a little difficult, but staff were very helpful. There isn’t really a dog rest area, but it worked ok.

Good location. Very clean. Beds were SUPER comfortable. Property is old but worked for us.

This little Motel across from U of O is a real treasure. This is our second stay and will definitely come back. Julio, checked us in and took special time with us to modify our reservation. He was so kind, helpful and efficient. Jaclyn was also delightful and so informative about the area and local activities. Our room was comfortable and love that we could park our car right outside our room.

Great hotel and staff! Loved the location and the outdoor patio area.

Breakfast was not hot eggs and bacon nor orange juice, but just about anything else a person might want.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
Very convenient location. Very friendly & helpful staff. Will certainly stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice clean room but you need to get cable for TV. All GREAT motels have this and is important.
- 2.5/5
breakfast tub very unsafe. Slippery with no bath mat. TV channels inadequate.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
It is not a unique place. It is a travelers 1950s-1960s highway motel. It was satisfactory for my needs.
- 5/5
My wife and I were very very happily surprised by this place! I just needed a cheap stay for my wife and I while in town for a late night comedy show so we weren't gonna be needing the place for long. We found this place and we hoped for the best, to be honest this place was AMAZING! The room was so clean and smelt clean. Was it the most updated place no but it was such a great stay for the price. Would definitely stay again! The parking lot was the worse. Very compact and awkward but definitely not enough of a problem to keep me from future stays.

Great location and large room. Comfy bed
- 5/5
It was a good stay. I got a good deal on the room and the staff was very friendly. The cleaning people came by daily, but I used my do not disturb sign because I didn't want my room cleaned. They respected the sign and left a note telling me that I refused service and that was perfectly fine. 😊 There could be a little more variety and options at breakfast but I truly have no real complaints.

Friendly Staff, clean rooms, easy to use. Wish i could've used the pool but it was closed
- 5/5
Very helpful staff Nothing
- 5/5
Very clean room. Nice staff, very professional. Wonderful price.
- 3/5
Definitely needs updated. Mold in room. Cheap furnishings.
- 5/5
Clean, easy to find and CLOSE to all kinds of food.
- 5/5
Staff was so friendly and accommodating. We brought our baby and our dog and had a lovely stay
- 3/5
Multiple loud arguments and fights taking place in other rooms throughout the night. Very hard to sleep as noise carried.
- 4/5
It is a quick, familiar, safe location to stay as a solo female traveler. I use it when I fly in and out of Eugene.
- 5/5
Very nice especially for the price. Clean and comfy. Nice pillows. Beds have a metal edge that makes an annoying sound if kicked, but we only did that a few times. Sink is outside the bathroom which is great for more than one traveller. I’d certainly stay there again!
- 5/5
Everything was great!!
- 5/5
This is my go to spot when I visit my son in Eugene
- 2/5
Asked for a quiet room - got # 215. Did not get any sleep the first night. Noisy ACs - at first I thought the police was flying helicopters above the motel. Noisy neighbor. Each time they opened the door (...who stays up that late?), it made my door vibrate. Also, it sounded like light knocking happened on my door throughout the night.
- 5/5
It was a nice place quit no craziness nice pool and convent places around
- 5/5
Great staff and room was clean. Appreciative of the affordability and kindness of the staff, and how close it is to the University. Would definitely stay again for a cheap stay!
- 5/5
Inexpensive, in good area.
- 2/5
There were signs here this place is not maintained well. TV was so complicated it was impossible to watch. Shower was just a trickle. 2 queen size beds in a room and just one chair? Not a place i will ever stay again
- 2/5
Paper thin walls. Never slept a wink. Water in shower turns cold when someone else uses water in another room. If it wasn’t the Eugene Marathon weekend I would not have felt safe here!
- 5/5
The room and bed were totally adequate for why we stayed there--to be near the university for the marathon. But the staff was much better than what you get at most hotels -- very friendly and very helpful! I would stay here again just for the quality of service delivered by the front desk staff at check in and check out.
- 5/5
The space was clean and quiet. There was good AC and great location for any event near the autzen stadium. Front desk was always helpful.
- 5/5
Clean room, excellent experience
- 5/5
I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable my room was. The night attendant was very considerate.
- 5/5
Very convenient! Food, entertainment and U of O right across the street!
- 3/5
Went for a concert in Eugene at Matthew Night Arena, hotel is conveniently located across the street. Satisfied what we got for nightly price. Our room was clean, But definitely needs an update. Bring your own pillow unless you are ok with a small square type. Don’t count on the room pics on line and skip the bfast.
- 4/5
Great location to campus and Hayward field. The breakfast selection was very weak. Great hot water, beds were good.
- 3/5
The room was sub par. The shower head was very low, and the water pressure was low as well. Also, the shower made a screeching sound while it was on.
- 5/5
Third time staying there-everything met expectations!
- 5/5
yes
- 5/5
Safe parking. Good place to stay in a pinch
- 4/5
Very convenient location to U of Oregon campus and walking to other venues. Friendly front desk.
- 5/5
The room was a tad outdated, but clean and comfortable. Staff at the desk was friendly, helpful, and gave us a room where it was nice and quite as we arrived after 10pm.
- 5/5
Out 3rd time here, always a good place to stay
- 1/5
I will never stay here again
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and welcoming with great suggestions for places to eat and things to see. Room was very clean.
- 4/5
Location fit my needs for the stay. I don't think it would be worth the outrageous prices asked when something like a UO sporting event is scheduled.
- 5/5
I'd gladly stay here again.
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful stay and the staff were extremely kind and helpful!!!
- 5/5
I will come back soon. A+
- 4/5
Convenient location for our trip. Nothing wrong with the room and parking was easy. Breakfast had limited options but definitely better than nothing.
- 3/5
Unable to do any work. Bathroom was miserably small. Hard to close the door to use the toilet. Generally outdated but was very clean and well kept. Coffee was great
- 3/5
Cheap place to stay
- 4/5
I was in a ground floor room, around midnight there was a lot of loud lo Ping around upstairs. It seemed like it lasted ao g time. But since I had been asleep my awareness of time was most likely skewed. I would stay again.
- 2/5
Ran out of hot water on first shower. Clogged sink. Loud metal boxes under mattresses. Small toilet. Limited space. Staff was nice. We left a day early and stayed at another hotel.
- 5/5
3rd stay and always the same great service
- 3/5
Rooms definitely could use some TLC. Bathroom was SO TINY, you had to straddle the toilet to shut the door, which did not open all the way because it hit the shower curtain rod!! Hinges on the bathroom door were rusted, paint peeling off the door. Bed was so uncomfortable we got up and left early because my hips were killing me!! Not the worst hotel I've stayed in but damn close!!
- 5/5
The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was good, the rooms are fine for the price per night. The property could use some updating but was clean and the bed was comfortable. If you need a place to hang your hat and don't want anything fancy this is a good place.
- 1/5
Well the room was nice but the staff were odd 9 was asked when I checked in if I had ever stayed at q place that was also local and I had nn4n44n55 in lll
- 1/5
Shower head is made for a tiny person and forget about consistent hot water while you shower, someone else next to us must have turned theirs on too cause we got a shock of cold water then scalding hot.
- 2/5
Room was a bit smelly and bathroom was outdated. Also had to ask for extra bedding and towels cause there wasn’t enough.
- 5/5
The location was great for walking and experiencing the University. The price was very affordable, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and fun!
- 3/5
All the automated check in and check out makes the service staff complacent. Morning breakfast items ran out and were not restocked.
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff conveniently located, free breakfast.
- 4/5
--The refrigerator motor tends to turn on frequently & noticeable during the night, so the next night we turned the temperature down.
- 1/5
Later, after accidental spills and a child becoming ill on bedding, I was willing to pay reasonable cleaning fees, but instead I was denied access to my room, had my belongings bagged and placed in the lobby, and was effectively removed from the hotel. The situation felt humiliating and wildly disproportionate. As a veteran and repeat guest, I was deeply disappointed by how my family and I were treated. I will not be returning and do not recommend this property based on staff conduct and lack of professionalism.
- 3/5
Water pressure was weak and barely warm.
- 5/5
Family Friendly!
- 5/5
Affordable, clean, very friendly staff
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff.
- 3/5
Towels seemed to be reused
- 4/5
We stayed for one night to attend an event at Knight Arena. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming. The property is older, and could use a little cosmetic updating, but the room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable and the location across from the arena was exactly what we wanted. We had no complaints about our stay and would stay there again.
- 4/5
Is an accesible place. Near to many restaurants and parks
- 5/5
Clean room bedding
- 5/5
Clean and tidy. Room was just just right. Super convenient for arena events. Thanks!
- 5/5
Everything was great! I was there to watch a basketball game at Matthew Knight Arena, so very convenient to have the venue across the street. The gal on night shift was very friendly and super helpful! I will stay there again.
- 1/5
The room was not very clean and in disrepair. There was a cockroach in the bathroom. Another guest played loud music and partied all night. The staff however was very friendly.
- 5/5
Everything was fine. The continental breakfast had few items.
- 3/5
The one bed had small, black pieces of something like asphalt or rubber material between the fitted sheet and the top sheet. We could not sleep on that bed because it was gross and we were too tired to call the front desk. I did mention it when I checked out.
- 5/5
Staff very helpful and friendly. Room comfortable and food establishments near by.
- 4/5
Room was spotless clean, is basic but has everything I needed, and the front desk staff were courteous and helpful. I had trouble with the key card not unlocking the door easily and the button on the phone labelled front desk did not reach the front desk. Other than that location was great, with a good grocery store within two minutes walk. I will stay here again.
- 4/5
The room was very clean. The sink did not drain very well but all in all everything was great
- 5/5
Very courteous staff. I am a housekeeping Supervisor and every hotel I check into over the past couple of years has always been dirty, so I don't enjoy staying at them, I always clean the room and check for bed bugs before I bring my luggage in. I did not have to do that here. Plus they have a heated pool and continental breakfast.
- 5/5
Quiet, very clean, accommodating with early parking.
- 5/5
Clean room, hospitable staff
- 5/5
Everything was good, biggest issue was WiFi was being difficult, which can happen anywhere’s
- 2/5
Bathroom fan was extremely noisy
- 2/5
A/C didn’t work, fan didn’t work, loud in general. But was still a place to sleep and people are nice.
- 4/5
All was good
- 4/5
Paid a lot of money for location.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. Room was clean and fully functional. Breakfast provided was basic but fine. Location is excellent for attending events at the arena, right across the street. Couldn't be closer. Plenty of free parking.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 1/5
Canceled my reservation without reason. Thats fine but they decided to not even refund my money
- 5/5
Great experience
- 3/5
Room wasnt the nicest a little ran down. Plus side it was affordable if your just looking for just a place to rest for the night.
- 5/5
Súper me encanta
- 4/5
Close to the college
- 4/5
It was so nice to know that we would have a nice , clean place to land last night. The receptionist was so gracious and helpful. We will stay there again on our way home. Not everyone would like it because it is small, older not at all fancy, but for what we wanted, it was great: very clean, well priced and safe.
- 5/5
Would stay here again. Went for the football match up against usc loved the easy walk from the hotel to the stadium. And the stadium back. Also loved how easy it was to get around from here. Room was as advertised and described. Staff was friendly and accommodated every need and answered every question I had.
- 5/5
Receptionist was very friendly and efficient
- 5/5
Great staff. Amazing location. Perfect game day hotel. Why waste money and time for something further away.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff were lovely. Most of all the bed was extremely comfortable!
- 4/5
Clean room. Pleasant staff
- 4/5
Sink didn’t work but it was a decent hotel
- 3/5
Semi clean
- 5/5
Nothing fancy, but the room was clean and comfortable, everything worked, the staff was exceptionally friendly, and it was literally just across the street from Matthew Knight Arena.
- 5/5
It was clean and the front desk folks were cery friendly i will come again
- 5/5
Room was great staff is friendly and helpful
- 5/5
I love the spaciousness of the one bedrooms. However, the best is the evening Front Desk Host; she's so thoughtful and accommodating!
- 3/5
Could the bathroom be any smaller and the shower needs to be updated.
- 5/5
Was a good stay
- 2/5
The pillows that were used not comfortable pillows but firm cushion pads.
- 2/5
Laundry good. Shower terrible. No control on hot water. Bathroom sink barley worked maid service was great everyday
- 4/5
Good value
- 4/5
Room was clean. Registration staff was very personable and helpful.
- 2/5
The rooms were not very clean and the breakfast was a disappointment.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff
- 4/5
Thx
- 5/5
Clean room quiet at night nice to have microwave and fridge.
- 5/5
Cool
- 4/5
The stay was ok. room was clean and service was good, but it was very expensive, and they charged you for everything, including early check in, late check-out, 3% surcharge on using a debit or a credit card.
- 3/5
Bathrooms are super small, bed frames are super annoying and loud. Really just a very small room…not worth the market rate when in town for a Ducks football game. Proximity is great, but overall just a very mediocre hotel.
- 2/5
The location near UO and Autzen was great, but not
- 4/5
Easy check in and out property
- 4/5
Clean room. Friendly staff!
- 3/5
Old motel with run down rooms. Miniature toilet, broken sink and when we turned on heater it smelled like urine. All that for the low price of $300 a night to be on OR campus. No thanks.
- 5/5
The staff were knowledgeable about the University, and the location is ideal.
- 2/5
Not sure how this property is getting five stars— maybe for convenient location to the university. However this is very much an older low budget motel with old facilities. The bed and pillows were comfortable. But the bed sits on a metal frame that makes a loud noise every time you touch it. Bathrooms are very small and old. Ok in a pinch, but don’t expect much
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 4/5
Nice staff, easy access to campus and events
- 5/5
We arrived at 11:30 at night and the staff was super friendly and nice and even upgraded us to a better room for free! It was a nice quick stop on our way to California.
- 5/5
The property and my room were very clean and comfortable. Wonderful service from front desk. Great location across from University of Oregon. Directly across the street from Mathew Knight Arena and walking distance to Autzen Stadium. Plus 2 doors down from Track Town Pizza. Great location, reasonable game day price.
- 2/5
The proximity to U of O is the best thing about this property imo. It is extremely dated, smelled pretty musty, shower didn’t drain properly and the parking lot is extremely tight. The worst part of our stay was the beds. They felt like a slab of concrete to the point I slept in the chair in the room. The frame under the bed that goes from under the mattress to the floor is METAL and makes a huge GONG noise with the slightest movement, it’s absolutely wild, I’ve never seen that before in a hotel room. It wasn’t as bad as it could have been but I definitely know why they are cheaper than the other places in that area.
- 2/5
This is a very convenient location for going to the football game, but the hotel should advertise that you cannot leave your car parked there during the game. The women working the front desk was very unpleasant and acted like we were an inconvenience to be there.
- 3/5
Quick nite
- 5/5
We loved the proximity to the university and where my daughter’s apartment is located.
- 3/5
The room smells and faucet was loose. There was a broaches well one roach in the room. The sofa bed smelled, and the bed was real thin. The mattress and the room was for four people, my wife, myself, and my two kids, and they only had 2000. No sheets or pillows or covers for the pull out. Bes
- 5/5
It was a great stay
- 4/5
Parking is tight, but rooms were surprisingly nice compared to exteriors. Older property but nicely updated. Super convenient location for University of Oregon.
- 5/5
The staff who checked us in was super nice! We got there at almost midnight and even that late he was super sweet and bubbly!
- 5/5
I’ve stayed here twice and both times were awesome. The hotel wifi is soso for some reason on the far side of the hotel, but the office side works fine. Definitely a stay again due to the staff, facilities and location!
- 1/5
The room was dirty. There wasn’t enough towels. No one told me when I booked this hotel that the pool wasn’t in the pool was disgusting looking
- 5/5
This was a great spot. We were well taken care of. Will be returning.
- 2/5
not really impressed it was nice to be able to walk to the game though
- 1/5
This place is worst than a motel 6 can be. It is super old, everything looks depressing and old. More depressing was the 260 dollars in a 40-50 dollars worth
- 5/5
It was a great experience staying here.
- 4/5
The University Inn was very convenient to everything we needed to access. It’s very close to the University which was great! The room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. It also was very quiet.
- 5/5
Check in easy with friendly associate who educated me in my needs (pool and laundry). Nice stay, secure and clean. Lots of smiles. We’ll be back!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, easy to check in, quiet and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Everyone on the staff is extremely Terrific!
- 4/5

- 5/5
Clean and close to the university of Oregon!
- 5/5
Good place! Parking is real tight. No complaints.
- 3/5
Dated but clean, hotel is not a $300 a night hotel, I know it was a football day but…
- 1/5
Noisy. Someone kept revving his car engine at 3:30 AM. Neighbor left TV on loud all night. They ran out of coffee in the morning. The shower room was the size of a phone booth
- 2/5
We were placed in a handicapped room facing the Main Street. Cars passing by were loud. The room had a strong odor. It smelled like pets/dust/urine. The WiFi/ internet was very weak. I asked about in on our first day and had called about prior to booking. I needed to complete some work and the connection was bad. I had to go down the street to Starbucks. I would have never chosen the room if I knew it would minimally have internet.
- 1/5
Desk clerk was horrible! We were rushing to get to the football game and he kept us waiting with ridiculous stories (“it’s $10k for parking”, “ if you are late to the game, they won’t let you in”). He was rude and obnoxious.
- 5/5
Convenient location if you’re going to a concert or a football game lots around in that area to eat, but keep in mind the restaurants close early
- 2/5
Pictures and descriptions of the hotel are deceiving. It is 2 star motel right off busy street with minimal service or amenities, certainly not worth paying $350/night. The pool was not open, the room was really old with kitchen stove not functioning, the kitchen had one fork and one butter knife. Everything in the room was very old, feeling like living in an ancient grandma’s house that nothing had been upgraded. The floor had slope and bumps that could easily cause tripping. Breakfast served instant oatmeal, bread, bagels, yogurt, and green apples. The breakfast area and lobby were so small, but pictures were shot in an angle that made the area look nice. They charged $75 for a security deposit when almost nothing worked. There was a price tag in the room for replacement cost of any stolen items including coffee pot which was not available, TV, clock, towel, etc. It’s a really creepy place!
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Small bathroom, but good value.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable, great sleepover as we traveled home from California. Helpful and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Basic and clean.

- 5/5
A clean but basic room in a motel with a great front desk clerk.
- 5/5
Super cute, clean, and comfortable retro style motel, but modern and updated! We will be staying here again over the next couple of years! 😉

- 5/5
Good price and great staff
- 5/5
Hotel is old but not in bad condition some paint off wall. Comfortable bed and pleasant people tending to check in and check-out. Good experience.
- 5/5
I appreciate the vibe, the helpful staff and relaxing units.
- 5/5
It appears they are trying to make improvements. But for what we paid. It was disappointing. The room has patchwork that isnt painted. The bathroom has moldy looking spots in cracks. We were watching TV and all of sudden it stopped working. The signal issue. I had to reboot. The room was clean but rundown looking. There were mismatched baseboards. Staff was super nice. Room was clean. But disspointed in actual room look, rundown.
- 4/5
Clean, close to stadium
- 1/5
Very dated and not maintained in the room we stayed in.
- 5/5
Property was clean. Pool was great. Parking out. Was easy. Everything about the hotel. Was Good fresh coffee in the morning. Gray bagels.
- 5/5
Everything was clean and the staff was great ..the only thing there was ants in the bathtub
- 3/5
Dated hotel way overpriced for what you have. Bed is pretty good. Clean.
- 4/5
In my room 206, the sink handle/faucet was not securely attached to the counter and would have hot water only unless I turned it a very specific way. And if you're picky about pillows, bring your own, since the ones they have are not good. The breakfast bar was my favorite part. It was super helpful, has bread, cereal, coffee and tea, yogurt, spreads like PB and cream cheese, juice, hard boiled eggs.
- 5/5
Location and it was clean
- 4/5
Room was very large since it's an apartment. Very clean but mind you, it's OLD. There was a kitchen with microwave and refrigerator which was convenient. There's an Indian restaurant and pizza place walkable. Location is great and safe. Bed was hard but comfy. Walkable to the University. Price was very reasonable. Breakfast is very basic, mostly grab and go kinda things bagels, bread, cereals muffin, coffee. Cons: Staff were ok but they were very rigid about the checkout but 11:30am which I would have preferred they extended a bit considering I checked in at midnight. Swimming pool is outdoor which is not really convenient.
- 5/5
Good value, nice staff!
- 5/5
It was good
- 4/5
Nice property I liked it - but neighborhood is a little shady. Cleanliness is medium, good to stay if you are a looking for downtown location
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
I was only there for a little while because i got called into work

Booked a room with a queen bed and pull out couch, clearly listed that way. Arrived and was told that they only had a single bed room, no pull out couch. Front desk man did not care at all, said too bad. Suggested I ask a stranger to switch rooms? Friend had to sleep on the hard floor. Hotel was dirty and smelled bad, mold in bathroom. Some type of concert was going on across the street, and hotel staff was fine with patrons standing around the parking lot, openly drinking and smoking pot, talking loudly past 2am right outside my door. Awful experience.Stay away!
- 4/5
very limited parking and breakfast was pastry and yogurt. Fortunately they also had hard boiled eggs as a protein. Very busy on Franklin street immediately opposite U of O campus. Excellent public transportation in Eugene.
- 4/5
This was one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. Very nice staff.
- 4/5
Took awhile to get deposit back!
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
Great staff
- 3/5
too old, noisy from upper level, water leak stain on a ceiling, small parking area
- 5/5
All staff are wonderful; especially the cleaning crew!
- 5/5
This is a keeper…
- 5/5
Excellent service and very friendly.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed and room was perfect for our overnight stay. Checked out early morning to catch our flight.
- 5/5
The staff was so nice. Had a couple questions because we were coming in late and the person I talked to on the phone was very polite and helpful. We got in at almost midnight to check in because we went to a concert. The person at the desk was super friendly and got me checked in right away and was super nice. He made sure we got a place to park and told me about the free breakfast. The next morning we made it in time for the breakfast. There were plenty of options for my kids, husband, and I to choose from. Checkout was a breeze and again super nice people running the desk.
- 4/5
It was easy to find and staff was very friendly
- 3/5
Did not like old soft beds
- 4/5
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was meager, but that was fine. I'd stay here again.
- 5/5
Only downfall extra small food area
- 4/5
We weren't here long but the hotel was in a great location close to the university and many restaurants which is exactly what we needed. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Older property that can definitely use some upgrades and repairs. But quiet and convenient.
- 5/5
Clean room comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Staff were great!
- 5/5
The employees were knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. The TV's are pretty old and the shower and toilet closet was just that a tiny closet. It's was reasonably priced and well staffed. Will stay here again next time I'm in town. I will recommend it to others as well.
- 4/5
Convenient location to UO.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service. Second time staying at this hotel. Will definitely do it again
- 2/5
The ice machine was broken, laundry was closed. The room has a bad smell and wasn’t very clean.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
It’s definitely an older hotel but the room was fine. Location was convenient
- 2/5
Mini bed pillows were terrible.
- 2/5
The room smelled so strongly of dog and mold. The night audit was rude, misogynistic, and condescending. All of the furniture felt moist and uncomfortable. The pillows were also the size of a throw pillow. Very odd place to stay. Close to campus.
- 5/5
I had a delicious boiled egg for breakfast.
- 4/5
Very convenient to Hayward Field. Decent cost considering that everything gets inflated for major Track & Field events. “Breakfast” isn’t really breakfast but still worth it. My second time staying here and would definitely do it again.
- 5/5
The staff was great, and understood the problem we were having trying to get there. The bathroom was to small for a larger person, but the overall room was great.
- 4/5
It was a mediocre property with good value. Bathroom was very small
- 1/5
Very hard beds customer service poor and rude
- 3/5
A modest place for a quick stay. Tub faucet dripped, hair clogged the drain, and even in a corner room, we heard comotion outside all night and felt vibrations and heard neighbor's tv through the wall. Had what we needed though, and staff was kind and friendly.
- 4/5
Stayed one night for a track meet. Short walking distance which was my main reason for choosing this spot. Both check in/out staff were friendly. Coffee in the morning was tasty, room was very dated, shower head was a bit low for tall people. Would return again.
- 3/5
There were a lot of repairs to the room which hadn’t been done
- 3/5
The property was fine for a two-star. The breakfast choices were not great and the parking was crowded. The staff were very friendly.
- 3/5
This place was outdated and rundown, but the staff was nice.
- 5/5
"I will be back."
- 5/5
My Single Room w/1 King Size bed and a sofa sleeper was spacious and extremely pleasant. The staff accommedated my request for a Pet-Free Room, due to my sever allergies without a fuss :)
- 4/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The breakfast options were just what we needed. We got a room with a pull out bed, which wasn’t the most comfortable thing to sleep on….but we chose cheaper and less comfort there. Still a good option that they offer.
- 3/5
Dated but good distance to Hayward field and UofO. Not worth the inflated price during track meets but satisfactory due to the convenience.
- 2/5
Liked the location, is across the street from university of Oregon campus. Otherwise typical old low budget motel. Good enough for a place to stay overnight, but don’t expect anything else.
- 3/5
Freah coffee in the am ..food look old and left out so chose not to eat ..woke up to ants on the table .
- 1/5
This place is a NO and it only fills up when there is a track meet. It’s very loud had to use earplugs very dated and the staff is not that nice. Be careful the photos look much better than it actually is.
- 5/5
It is quant
- 5/5
Very nice
- 3/5
Rooms need to be refreshed.
- 5/5
Perfect location, great value, pool was an added bonus
- 4/5
Checkin was easy. Parking lot was challenging, but they approved an extra space to accommodate. Room was simple. Refrigerator was SO loud, it interrupted sleep, along with a dripping faucet in the bathtub. It was too late for me to report, but housekeeping could not have easily missed a loud leaking faucet. Coffee was very good. I would probably stay again, but would ask to check the room first.
- 5/5
Good accommodation for a good price. Recommended for those who are visitng the University of Oregon and wanting to have a decent but affordable place to spend a night or two.
- 5/5
Clean room pool breakfast quick check in good water pressure
- 2/5
Bathroom faucet, not functioning properly, would drip all night and hard to select hot vs cold water. Mini fridge froze all my drinks and food even on the lowest setting, had to throw away food. Internet constantly dropped out and had to put username and password each time to reconnect. Staff said taxi would be cheaper to airport but actually costed more than Uber! This is a one star motel!
- 4/5
Great for what it is! Pool was clean, room was clean, staff was great.
- 3/5
Cheap hotel near the university
- 3/5
Great friendly staff. Room was not as clean as expected. The couch was moved and not moved back. Only had one door lock. Use to seeing an additional lock.
- 4/5
We had a great stay. Hotel is getting old, parking is tight, bed was comfortable, breakfast was pretty good. Directly across the street from the University of Oregon, a very beautiful campus to take a walk in.
- 5/5
Friendly staff at checking in and out. Pool looked good even though we were too late checking in to enjoy it, but would stay here again if in the area
- 5/5
Super nice receptionist.
- 4/5
The admin staff were great, the room clean, great outdoor pool, a little noisy due to being close to Franklin St. Breakfast was a 3. But the staff jump right onto correcting issues! It’s right across from the Knight Arena!
- 5/5
Nice welcoming when I walked in to check in. Morning staff was excellent as well.
- 5/5
Good size room and a comfy bed. Great location. Great air conditioning for those hot summer days too.
- 3/5
Bath tub was dirty. Bathroom walls were dirty. The rest of the room was clean.
- 4/5
I feel the hotel needs an upgrade on their plumbing. The hot water to wash your hands took a long time to work. The water pressure on the shower was very weak.
- 5/5
Very good
- 4/5
Clean, newly decorated room. Beds were a bit worn and bulgy; pillows weren't great. And the shortest cord ever on the coffee maker--there was literally only one place in the room to plug it in, on the bed stand. Good location. Parking lot's small, no spaces in the evening.
- 5/5
Easy to get to the university right across the street
- 5/5
great location
- 4/5
It seems like it was Motel 6 before. Its cheap looking, but it suited my needs.
- 5/5
Nice place and clean. Enjoyed our quick stay friendly office person.
- 5/5
Exactly what it was supposed to be and super convenient to MKA and Track town pizza. Workers were very friendly.
- 3/5
The room was clean. The bathroom shower curtain way to small.. water leaked easily
- 4/5
Just fine. Had a pool. No issues of note.
- 2/5
Right on a main road with lots of traffic. Fan in the bathroom was extremely loud. There were no screens on the windows. Pool wasn’t very clean.
- 3/5
I booked through Expedia and got a great deal. I knew it wasn't a fancy hotel and the single room was clean and just fine. The only things not great were the very bright lights in the room, the layout of the toilet/shower area is so small that you have to do some acrobatics to get out of the shower, and the faucet moved around and needed fixing which seemed odd since it was clean. The great things were the handy parking, kind staff, and the amazing air conditioning! It was very hot so that helped a lot. I don't know if I'll stay there again but it was just fine.
- 5/5
Nice view of Matthew Knight Arena from Room 225. East walk to campus, restaurants and stores. The pool was refreshing. The front desk was kind and friendly.
- 5/5
Loose to my daughter’s dorm. Clean, friendly and helpful staff. I did no have breakfast there; we are in town.
- 4/5
This location was great.
- 4/5
Funky. I wonder if it was on old 99 in the 50’s
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 5/5
Good for the price (86/night). Basic breakfast was serviceable. Room smelled of cleaning solution AC great. Staff was so kind. Near u of o
- 4/5
The hotel was good value with the price we paid. Bathroom was a bit tight and old. Other things in our room were all right.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Right across from UofO basketball arena. Clean rooms, super pleasant staff, heated pool and ice machine. Very peaceful stay and already have a second fall reservation for a longer stay!
- 4/5
The staff were very nice and helpful. The location was convenient to the campus. The property condition was not great -- broken towel rack, inactive wall socket.
- 4/5
The room was perfect for an overnight stay! There was a small stain (it might have been blood) on the
- 5/5
Friendly and courteous staff. Room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
It was a clean bed, clean room and a good stay
- 1/5
Did not feel safe. Nasty room
- 5/5
They sell a few different types of beers at the front desk. $3-4 per can. Not a bad deal.
- 1/5
The first room I was given had a broken shower, with repair equipment and tools strewn in the bathroom. the room they moved me to the next day had 3 inches of standing dirty water in the shower basin that had to stick my hand in to clear the drain. So Gross.
- 5/5
Overall a nice place to stay if you're headed to UO. Easy to park your car early and walk anywhere around campus. Walls are a little thin, so can hear loud neighbors. Nice, helpful staff. Nice stay!
- 3/5
The room was cramped and the AC was noisy.
- 3/5
The room was spacious and mostly.ean, but the
- 4/5
Great place and enjoyed our stay
- 3/5
Room smelled like strong odor of wet dog or rotten rug. Daughter had allergies being in this room. Hard time sleeping with the bad smell. Staff was excellent though.
- 4/5
Nice property that is very close to Hayward Field. Rooms are clean and staff was friendly. The only downside was the bathroom was very small.
- 4/5
Room was clean and cozy. Thee only thing that I wasn't a fan of was the small bathroom. Very small.
- 5/5
Amazing staff and room
- 5/5
Loved the location, very clean. Great staff. Definitely recommend it. 100/10 !!
- 4/5
Older property but is well-cared for and clean. Breakfast options limited but nice amenity if in a hurry. Coffee was hot and abundant. Small area of lobby has other quick meal or snack options available for sale. Property approximately 2-3 blocks from U of O.
- 5/5
Lugar limpio y estacionamiento destino ligero completo cerca de la universidad
- 5/5
The check in clerk was attentive and helpful. Recommended a great place for dinner as well
- 5/5
It is difficult to find a clean well maintained room at this price Point. The rooms are older but cleaned well and a good bed
- 5/5
Very clean. Great location.
- 4/5
Was given a large handicap accessible room in the front of the property. I did not request an accessible room. The location in the front of the premises, right along the street, made this a very noisy room
- 3/5
We booked an accessible room got a regular room the bathrooms were not made for bigger ppl to use. The staff tried charging my card 85$ at 3am for 1 bottle of water
- 5/5
Great location with very kind and friendly staff!
- 4/5
So convenient for meetings or students visits at UO!
- 5/5
Easy to get around. Convenient.
- 5/5
Zac was delightful. Check-in was a breeze.
- 4/5
Loved the price and location. Great value, and the staff were all super nice/helpful.
- 5/5
The workers are nice
- 3/5
Shower temperature and noise was annoying, loud and couldn’t keep a constant temperature
- 5/5
The water pressure was meh but otherwise it was great!
- 4/5
Very pleasant staff very, very comfortable bed
- 5/5
Perfect. Everything was greag. Just what we needed for our stay.
- 3/5
The building itself old but room was clean. Since this hotel was just next to those hotels, we kind of expect similar services. However, this hotel was ... a little bit under our expectations. The bathroom fan was so loud and every time we turn on the bathroom light, the fan was also on with the loud noise (which we just laugh out not big deals). Pet friendly but no pet bathroom (lol) station in the property nor dog poop bags. (yes, we paid $25x2 for 2 dogs). Breakfast was... well no comments. Oh well... at least, bedding and towels were clean!! Yeah!
- 4/5
The staff is so nice!
- 4/5
The only complaint i had was that there was nowhere close to walk my dog otherwise great stay
- 5/5
It is older, but well kept. Very clean. Great staff. Easy parking. Spacious room with comfortable beds.
- 4/5
Convenient for the event we attended.
- 4/5
Nice and clean
- 5/5
N/A
- 4/5
Good stay for the most part area not ideal though just feels unsafe
- 4/5
decent price for traveling through area
- 4/5
I’ve stayed here 3 times. The previous 2 times were fantastic! This time, though, I got in quite late and got the room facing the busy street. It was quite loud and I had a hard time sleeping. Also, the WiFi wasn’t working properly, despite the desk staff resetting it. I’d stay here again, especially since it’s a great value when I need to drop off/pick up my college student from UO. But I will definitely ask for a room further from the street, and I’d keep my fingers crossed that they resolve their WiFi issues.
- 5/5
I did not expect the staff to be so friendly. The beds were very comfortable. I usually stay at best western. However I will be staying at this place in the future instead. It’s cheaper, and the staff is unbelievable helpful and friendly
- 1/5
Bathroom fan made a squeaking noise while it was on. Walls very thin. I could hear the next door peoples conversation. I could even hear them plugging in the outlets. Room had a strange odor. I am not one to complain but feel that people should know that this motel does not do anything to accommodate customers. Not worth the price I paid. Expedia price was $313/night plus an additional $50 to check out at noon instead of 11 am. $363 for one night for a poor quality place. Will not recommend this place to anyone. Rip off.
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 3/5
Hotel staff is nice, parking is a pain if you’re there on a busy weekend, the bathroom needs to be updated - gives the impression that it’s not clean. Location is great if your doing stuff on the UO campus
- 3/5
Friendly staff and the amenities are basic but nothing to complain about. The breakfast is also not super extensive but enough to give you basic fuel. If you're staying on the first floor though, be aware you can hear all the walking from second floor. That consistently woke me up. The pillows are also square shaped instead of rectangular and the bed was a bit uncomfortable. But overall bearable for a quick overnight stay
- 4/5
Everything was good except i think the bed in our room is in need of replacement. My husband and both rolled to the center and you could feel the lumpiness of the mattress. After a long day hiking, it was v
- 4/5
It was clean and quiet. Only complaint was the fan in the bathroom was so loud. Not the most up to date place but it was clean and quite which is most important to me!
- 5/5
Convenient
- 4/5
Stayed after watching a show at Matt knight arena. Very close and convenient. Nice small place
- 4/5
I feel safe, the property is in good shape and it’s a convenient location. The staff is always great! The price is right.
- 5/5
Great place
- 1/5
For a budget place to sleep, it was acceptable. What is unacceptable is being insulted and humiliated by the staff checking me in going so far to say that people from Idaho are not welcome in Oregon. When I told the gentleman checking me in that, I did not appreciate his demeanor I was threatened to be kicked out of the property with no . I would highly recommend the owner watch the video footage of the interaction I had with their employee so they can properly fire him.
- 4/5
Value and location excellent
- 5/5
It was neat and clean
- 3/5
The view was amazing the next morning
- 3/5
After turning the tv off and getting ready for bed, noticed loud hum on refrigerator. Plug too far behind cabinet to be able to pull out of wall. Hope that we will be able to sleep tonight. In bathroom, sink stopper was all the way down and water wouldn't drain. When I lifted it out of sink with fingernail, found that it came all the way out as it was not attached below. Covered with black slimy mold. Other than those two things, we had been impressed with the property.
- 1/5
Some of the pictures on website are not even of this hotel. They are of a newer and different facility. It’s not in a nice part of down town. Staff was rude, lots of rules and a $250.00 incidentals hold, which in my opinion is higher than normal these days.
- 1/5
Room ok check in awkward
- 5/5
It was everything I needed.
- 3/5
It’s a ok place. Room had a cleaning product smell
- 4/5
Budget-friendly yet well maintained and clean! Breakfast was great, too. Kind and welcoming staff.
- 5/5
Perfectly fine, nothing fancy, very friendly check-in.
- 3/5
Our room was on the first level next to stairs, people drag their luggage up and down stairs. Our room was also right next to the maids room. The washer or dryer was very loud and the maids were really loud in the morning. There is stains on the ceiling. It was clean and the maids and front desk people were nice.
- 3/5
I like the breakfast and cleaning staff
- 5/5
Easy check in and quick. Very clean rooms, well kept grounds and at an Amazing price.
- 2/5
The room was fine until I turned the water on in the shower in the morning. Hundreds (not exaggerating) of tiny bugs came out of the water temperature control, they climbed up the wall. I reported the problem to the front desk and sent them photos and a video of the bugs , they were very apologetic but I was told that any problem needed to be dealt with through Expedia.
- 4/5
Friendly and efficient service. The only challenge was poor Wifi.
- 5/5
A little dated, but clean and functional.
- 1/5
We were not expecting a 1970s motel feel. While the hotel has been modernized, it is in need of repairs and updates.
- 5/5
University Inn was perfect for what we needed: a safe, decent, clean and convenient place to stay for the night.
- 1/5
A lot of amenities were broken and some of the flooring was uneven in our room.
- 5/5
Front desk clerk was amazing and patient.
- 5/5
Basic rooms but super clean and comfortable. My toddlers even enjoyed the rooms.
- 4/5
Property was a convenient location
- 5/5
Good free breakfast . Staff very friendly
- 5/5
Thanks
- 4/5
The staff was super kind and helpful.
- 4/5
The staff were kind. There were damages in the room (deep scratch on bathroom floor, front door frame damage). Didn't bother us, just made us nervous with the incidental hold on my card. Didn't sleep well, white light kept flickering in the room, people talking outside the room. It was cost efficient. Thank you.
- 5/5
It was nice not to hear other patrons in their rooms with the TV on loud. The staff was very kind and accommodating when I needed new towels. Check-in and Check-out were easy and quick. Close to everything.
- 4/5
College student delight!
- 5/5
Very nice staff.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
This is a safe location. The property is small and well kept. The room was clean/ had a fridge and microwave. The price was reasonable. I’ve stayed her several times.
- 5/5
Very basic hotel (not fancy), but the people who worked there were very nice, it was clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the location is great if you're visiting U of O.
- 5/5
Great hotel; I won't comment on the city itself.
- 3/5
Housekeeping staff chattering loudly all around the facility with insufficient sound insulation made it less than restful.
- 4/5
Nice stay for one night
- 1/5
Unfriendly check in. Warned to not damage property several times. Ironically the laminate flooring (which seemingly was installed by someone without a measuring tape) looked like it had been used for hockey practice with scratches and gouges throughout. One electrical outlet with no cover. It was clean enough but the bed was so uncomfortable and the pillows were like sacs of concrete. Spend an extra $25 and stay at any one of the nicer hotels down the street.
- 4/5
Older building but our room was very clean and comfortable. Check in and check out were very easy, and it was very conveniently located close to downtown. I would definitely stay again if I was going to Eugene for a couple of nights.
- 5/5
Parking was not good.
- 4/5
some renovations were made which did not include the bathroom. For breakfast there was cereal, bagels, etc, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea which could be taken to your room.
- 4/5
Older property but staff were amazing and the location is perfect!
- 3/5
The primary bed and room were okay. The pullout bed was very uncomfortable and the heater was loud. Staff were nice and friendly and the online pre-check-in was nice.
- 4/5
If you are visiting University of Oregon the location of this hotel is fantastic.
- 3/5
Basic motel with outdated furnishings. Super close to UO campus for events and visits.
- 4/5
Nice
- 4/5
The motel is close to UO campus and it is easy to walk to the river paths and around the UO campus. There is access to public transportation, the Natural History Museum and it is very close to Hayward field. The motel is affordable, clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- 5/5
Was a great place to stay….
- 4/5
quiet
- 4/5
Small parking lot but decent place
- 4/5
Very clean and convenient location.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Older hotel but great proximity to UO
- 4/5
very nice room, staff was great. only drawback was that it is located on a busy street. I had a room in the back upon request but it would have been too noisy for me towards the street
- 4/5
Staff was great. Hard to park in the tight spaces.
