The phone number on website was never answered. At property the office was closed and locked and there was a handwritten sign w a different number for customer service. It felt disjointed. Room ‘upgrade’was an ageing facility with zero amenities. There are people living permanently in several rooms.

This place is ok. There aren't any amenities so if you're looking for a place just to sleep, this is it. The staff is very nice, beds are comfortable and the rooms are big! Yet, there are things out of their control that make it not so nice: train noise, drag racing on the street at night, and the neighborhood homeless. This place is in the older part of Eugene and you don't mind some of these things, it's still a good place. As stated previously, the staff was really nice and if you ask for anything, they are more than willing to accommodate you.

George in the lobby was very cordial. The room smelled really bad and we still smell it 2 days later on our clothes. We left the fan on all night to try to lessen the smell, it didn’t help. Parking was easy and felt safe. Volume on tv would not adjust so we had to stuff a jacket up against the speaker to tone it down.

I understand the nature of low cost budget hotels, so I don't have unrealistic expectations, but this hotel is not good and I would not recommend staying here. First the positives: staff was very friendly and helpful; room was clean; good water pressure in the shower. Now the negatives: no light above sink in bathroom area; homeless encampment across the street which prevented me from walking anywhere from hotel; several vehicles in parking lot that were in a state of disrepair: and finally, the mattress was the worst mattress I've ever slept on. It was so hard, it was like sleeping on the floor. Hotel should invest in better mattresses or mattress covers so that it is a little softer. It was so hard and uncomfortable that I literally could only sleep for a couple of hours each night.

When we arrived, they did not show our reservation that we had made through Hotels.com. But they did have a room and were going to honor our hotel room at $71.20 which they gave me a hand receipt for. When they ran my card I was charged $110.00. I reached out and they said it would be changed. It never was. I gave up trying to fix this as they are never in the office. I believe this is more of a live in motel and do not recommend. We were there to sleep and check out by 2am for a flight. We didn't need much. The room smelled, but was clean. I was just really disappointed in the service and that they didn't honor our true reservation.

Disappointing
- 3/5
The room was decent. There’s no amenities like coffee or anything. The only complaint I have is the fact that the office isn’t open when you go to check in. They have sign on the door with a number to call if you are staying there. The person did answer right away and someone came down a few minutes later. It was just a little annoying after a long day of traveling.
- 2/5
Upon arrival at 5 p.m., no one was present at the office for check-in; I had to wait 15 minutes for staff to show up. Further, the parking lot was being re-tarred, so I was not allowed to park on hotel grounds. Also, this area is rife with hobos, so walking around at night can be dodgy.
- 4/5
Parking was convenient. Neighborhood was sketchy. Addicts asleep on sidewalks. Room was clean but musty smelling. Staff was friendly. Conveniently located to several food options.
- 5/5
After checkout the next day, I again checked my bank account and the $100 deposit was still showing pending. I was traveling and became rather busy for several days, so I didn't check my account again until four days later after checkout. My $100 deposit was no longer pending. The deposit had been deducted from my account. It was deducted from my account three days after my checkout. I called the Express Inn for four days before someone answered my call. They don't have the ability to leave a message? When I spoke to the manager about my deposit, initially she said the charge wasn't a deposit, it was a charge an additional nights stay. I explained to her that I did not stay for an additional night. She said she would have to look into the transaction, but her computer was down. Though she said she would call me back as soon as her computer came back up line, she never called me back. Three days later I called her again. This time she said she returned the $100 deposit. 14 days later, three more phone calls, one to my bank, I haven't received the $100 deposit.

Staff is rude, beds harder than the floor, wholes in the walls. They double charged my card and refuse to communicate with me.

Great location. The parking lot was being worked on but that couldn’t be avoided.

Express Inn is a good choice for a reasonable price to stay in central Eugene. Its not fancy or deluxe, but fine for a quiet and comfortable night. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

I realized they canceled my reservation when I was checking in. I suspect they did it intentionally to make best profit from walkin
- 4/5
Nice stay
- 1/5
The manager threatened to cancel my reservation because she heard me say, "come on" on the camera. I told her I didn't have a problem and she shoved her phone up saying she heard me. Again the only thing I said was "come on"! She escalated it and refused to let it go until I told her she was triggering my Parkinson's which in turn would trigger my Cyclic Vomiting (exactly as it sounds, I puke for days because of interactions like this!!!) she in turn decided to one up me by saying her parent has Parkinson's. She's beyond rude and shouldn't be managing anything. I'm also reporting her for violating ADA laws. Asked for toilet paper at one point and never got. I had to go buy my own! It appears people live in this hotel and will block parking spots for themselves, leaving guest without a parking spot. Stay anywhere but here!!! Motel 6 beds are crappy but the employees and facilities are better!

Parking was easy. Was switched to another room on arrival. That tv did not work so they switched me again. No in room coffee but they made some in the office & went to 7-11 & got me pastries & apple juice. Kind of a funky older hotel but staff was wonderful. Just needed a place to sleep to catch a plane the next day.

The room was clean, the lady who checked me in was outstanding, and I actually slept through the whole night. I normally am up and down all night at motels being away from home, but I didn't wake up once. I will definitely be going there more.
- 2/5
Staff was great. Room had an odd smell but the real challenge was the noise from the neighboring room and the guy screaming about a drug overdose in the alley in the middle of the night.
- 5/5
Very nice customer service!

Great breakfast Good staff
- 5/5
Even though I showed up late the staff was very helpful. The rooms were incredibly neat and clean and no bad odors. The heater worked great, the shower was perfect. An elevator would be nice

Since the pandemic I’ve noticed a decline in the amenities at mid priced motels. I was very happy with my stay at Express Inn & Suites Eugene. At first glance I was concerned. One unit had a boarded up window (I’m sure they are waiting for parts) and there is a sign on the office door to call this number for service. Tonya and her husband live at and manage the facility. Instead of hanging out at the office they are out on the property so your phone call get prompt results. They went above and beyond to accommodate their guest. You can tell that Tonya takes pride in her work. You only need to look at the meticulously maintained flower beds that I’m sure are all Tonya, not part of the franchise motif. The rooms are large and the walls are thick. No street sounds from busy 6th ave could be heard. A concern was the near by train tracks but either the trains don’t run at night or they don’t have to blow their whistles during night time hours because it wasn’t an issue. Most motel internet speeds are barely above dial up (2-3mbs). Express Inn came in at 70mbs so it wasn’t a struggle to load a webpage. Had good enough speed for anything you’d want to do. My main point of interest was UofO’s Hayward field which was a doable 2 mile walk through interesting neighborhoods. There’s plenty of other things around at a shorter walk. It was nice to just park the car at the motel and not have to deal with the Eugene traffic or parking. Train whistles during the day but fortunately not an issue at night.
- 2.5/5
Friendly staff Room only had in room a/c units and they were off on day of check in and it took them about 6 hours to make the room tolerable.

Manager/receptionist very friendly.

The room was good. Unfortunately there's a lot of commotion at night and the police showed up.
- 1/5
The state of this motel is deplorable and unsafe.
- 1/5
The female owner loves drama, and creates it constantly. She was whiny, rude, arrogant, and condescending.
- 1/5
Homeless people everywhere unsavory characters roaming around in the parking lot people smoking crack on every corner
- 2/5
Bed was terrible

it appears that they are in the middle of renovations but it felt half done. there were holes in the walk way coverd by rubber matting. the cleaning supplies used in the room had an overpowering scent.

Was $50 a night. You get what you pay for, dont come here unless completely desperate. We were.
- 2/5
**. Two stars. “ Better than nothing”
- 2/5
The room was clean, but the beds were like sleeping on concrete after flying from SC to OR. It was not comfortable.
- 2/5
My husband and I stayed at the motel after moving our daughter back to college. Unfortunately though it was very clean and the staff nice, we were charged 4 additional times after having prepaid for the accommodation prior to our arrival, and although we have tried four separate times in the past week to obtain a refund, we have yet to have been successful. They keep apologizing and promising a refund but no success thus far. It’s a money trap.
- 3/5
Clean room, noisy due to busy street, manager lives on site.
- 4/5
Lots of people hanging around the lot smoking, but overall seemed like an okay place. Beds weren’t great, but the room was clean and comfortable enough.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Was a good value for the price
- 5/5
The property manager was great!
- 1/5
This motel was NOT in a safe location nor do the pictures tell of the room quality, etc. Spoke to the manager who understood and told me I would just be charged the 1 night as noted in their rules. I still have not been refunded; have called and no one answers nor has Hotels.com been helpful. I am rethinking this platform as a trust worthy place to find a place to stay.
- 4/5

- 2/5
What looked like broken down cars in the parking lot and a man walking around shirtless. The room smelled bad. I walked in the room barefoot and then I sat on the bed. My feet were BLACK. It was gross.

- 3/5
Several times staff promised to return or provide the phone cord I left on a previous stay. They did not after several requests. Very disappointing.
- 3/5
Building is a bit run down. But, the rooms are clean enough and there are several good eateries within a three block radius. Staff was friendly.
- 1/5
Booked the "suite." It was an outside window to check in and had to call manager to come down. The space was dirty and smelled of urine; it was clearly a party crash pad. Tiny TV in sitting area only, which wouldnt even connect to internet. Manager did at least come and try to help, with no luck. I think she knew we weren't the typical crowd who stays there (a mom and teen boy traveling.) She was friendly and offered to comp 50% of our stay because of thr TV issue (which didn't actually happen-no surprise with booking site). Someone tried coming in to our room around 11 pm, and luckily the door was locked. Noise and sirens all night, even manager screaming and kicking someone out at 2:30 am for tring to break in the check in window. Ended up only staying 6 hours because I was too scared to stay any longer. Much rather hang out in the airport lobby an extra 4 hours.
- 5/5
a great place to stay on a budget. I will definitely be staying here again. 7-11 was right across the street and red apple grocery store is a block and a half away. room was number 102. it was clean and comfortable with two beds. great shower with plenty of hot water. microwave and small fridge which managed to get the job done. The only thing that would have made it better is a small coffee pot with the accessories. The manager I dealt with was Tanya. very outgoing and a pure pleasure to do business with. She is customer oriented and well suited for the job. thanks again
- 5/5
This was amazi g and a great night sleep
- 3/5
Low price and quick get away to airport. Really loved front desk hospitality and quick response to a room need.
- 3/5
I got this room because it said it had a pool, but the pool was unfortunately closed. They were doing maintenance in the hallway right next to my room and it was very smelly. There was also a lot of stains on the bed which made my daughter grossed out and we also Went and we also slept on one bed over the blankets.
- 1/5
In addition to concerns about the hotel’s interior, I observed that the parking lot contained several rundown vehicles that appeared to be inhabited, as well as individuals experiencing homelessness across the street. These observations contributed to my discomfort during my visit. Given these circumstances, we decided not to stay and promptly notified the front desk of our departure. I have yet to receive a response from management or the owners regarding this.

The office was locked when we tried to check in, there was a sign posted with a phone number. Upon calling that someone told us theyd be right down. So we stood outside, on a not safe feeling street, in the dark, just waiting. The beds were thin and so uncomfortable. The linens were also thin with no extra blankets anywhere.

Room smelled dusty, could hear people talking loudly in other rooms and could hear every time someone flushed a toilet or used the sink
- 5/5
We will be staying again.

rooms were serviced only every 4th day

Rooms were clean needing updating, lot of road noise in area of street people. Could hear every time doors closed on each side. It was ok for a place to sleep.

This isn't the 4 seasons, but it fits its need if you need a clean place to sleep and shower. Only real complaint is its proximity to the street and train tracks. Extremely noisy traffic and train sounds like it's in your room.
- 5/5
Bery friendly. Rooms are very spacious.
- 5/5
Staff very welcoming and took 3x larger that expected and fit my family or 7 with ease.
- 2/5
Very noisy. Atleast a one inch gap under the door you can hear EVERYTHING happening outside. Hard floors were dirty. I had no bath towels. For $130 for one night. This was piss poor.
- 5/5
The manger did try to see if she could get a ground floor room. She was able to. Though this room had two queen beds. We didn't need two beds. It was a large room with a desk and a small couch. The manager even made offers to help us with our luggage, get us a bag of ice, and let us know when our cab arrived. So we ended up happy with the stay.

- 5/5
Everything was really good. Except the light above the desk didn't work
- 3/5
Friendly, helpful staff. The room was pretty basic and the beds were not the best, but it provided a much needed night of rest.
- 1/5
Expedia’s customer service was horrible. We pre-paid for two motel rooms. EXPRESS INN & SUITE. We called to let them know that we’ll be there within 30 minutes. The owner said to get there and giver her a call and to make sure we have our IDs ready for her to check , we agreed. She called 2 mins later and started verbally abusing and refused the service without any reason. The owner was extremely rude. We had two kids a 5 year old and a 10 year old and it was midnight. Since we already pre-paid we asked for refund and she refused and said “do whatever you want” and hung up on us.
- 1/5
Lots of mold.
- 1/5
what goes around comes all the around. Tonya, the General manager, couldn’t manage a bowl of jello. Avoid this place all together , it’s trash. You’re betting off staying in a tent across street at the homeless camp where we had to due to her knack for lying her way to avoiding consequences. Don’t take my word for it , check the BBB website for the specific address and name and you’ll see that Tonya’s accolades are basic at best. Okay , I’m out. smd.
- 4/5
My bed was quite non-responsive - no 'give' in the mattress which caused a headache in the morning.
- 4/5
Good value, clean, well-located, spacious room, friendly and accommodating service. Mattress a bit hard and no hair dryer in room, but provided upon request. Would stay again.
- 5/5
This is an inexpensive, clean place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very spacious, adequately appointed. Ask at the desk for a hairdryer!
- 1/5
Terrible customer service. Called to let staff know that the person that booked the stay had their truck break down on the highway and will not be making it to the reservation. Although the option to have a refund was not paid for in advance we asked the manager if there was any way to get a partial refund. The general manager spoke in a very unprofessional tone and was very rude throughout the call. Strongly do not recomend staying here! 0/10 expierence just from a phone call all it took!
- 4/5
Prompt service, very courteous. was on second story and i have to appreciate that the floors are in very good condition: solid and newer flooring. i didnt feel like i had to watch my step for the neightbors. very clean room. bed mattresses are harder steel spring but id brought my camping gear so just laid my mat on top. rooms are very minimal. good selection of tv stations and strong wifi
- 2/5
The room had a strong perfume odor. We left the room door and window open for hours. Socks are black on the bottom from walking on floors.
- 3/5
This property is older but well maintained. My main concern is the lack of feeling safe in the neighborhood where it is located.
- 5/5
The customer service. I think the location is a bit noisy is all.

- 4/5
Huge room! Great value, hassle-free check in.
- 1/5
The property was dated and weird and the lot felt unsafe , the manager lived on site and harassed us about extra guests we didn’t have, the smoke alarm battery was running out and they replaced it with another bad battery and it beeped all night, causing us to leave at 7am. The decor is anxiety inducing and the beds are u comfortable, just don’t!

Very clean property with great staff. As a bonus the State Patrol station is right across the street so there is no worry of theft or vandalism like you will find in other parts of Eugene.

- 2/5
The room was clean. However, we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to help us once we arrived. We rang the bell and called multiple times. Then there was no apology or any validation for the fact that we were waiting. She was nice once she finally arrived, but...
- 3/5
And very Noisy
- 1/5
If i could give this a negative review i would. Horrible service. Room was dirty. Tv didnt work. Trying to get anyone in the office was next to impossible. Crackheads outside. Unsafe neighborhood.
- 3/5
Some real good dining options were found on Blair, the walk was a little sketch, but safe enough.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, close to restaurants.
- 3/5
Enjoyed the two bedroom suite. Could have been cleaner. No continental breakfast or pool.
- 3/5
Check in went smoothly. The couple who work there are very nice and they work hard to keep the property safe in a very sketchy neighborhood. That being said, avoid going outside alone at night. The room was bare bones, but I wasn't looking for luxury, just a place to sleep.
- 5/5
Extremely kind and helpful owners. They went above and beyond to accommodate my children and me. We were only there one night and got back on the road the next morning so they went out and bought breakfast foods for us. They had them ready in the lobby when we went to check out and gave us a bunch a road snacks. Extremely friendly and helpful!
- 3/5
Fortunately, we had our blankets and pillows, so we slept on them. Other than that, the property manager at this building is efficient and responsive to accommodating checking-in and out customers, and the location is very convenient for those early morning in Airport flights. The travel time took us about 17 minutes to get to the airport, according to GPS. This property is you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
Very nice manager and employees. I will stay there again. Security is always on duty. Nice rooms also.
- 5/5
Basic motel near the university, the owner's really try to keep it up and are extremely friendly. Very close to everything, tons of trendy restaurants and bars. Not their fault, but it is Eugene, Oregon, so lots of homeless around.
- 1/5
When I got to the property, the lobby was locked and there was a sign in the window saying that management would be back in 20 minutes. So, I waited 20 minutes. They had one of those ring doorbells so I decided to ring the bell just in case there happened to be someone around. After a few minutes, the front desk lady comes back and snaps at me for ringing the doorbell. I mean yes I see the sign in the window, but all I did was ring a frickin bell. She didn't have to bite my head off for it! Her attitude was totally uncalled for. But that's not the worst part. The room I got was TOTALLY DISGUSTING. The bed had a fleece blanket with some kind of bodily fluid caked on it (I pulled it off the bed). I looked at the pillows underneath the pillow case, and they were stained yellow and looks like they never changed the pillows since they opened the place. The mattress was hard as a rock and did not make for good sleep. The towels were all dingy and stained. There was also mildew in the corners of the shower. Overall, the whole place gave me the ick. I have never stayed at a place that made me so uncomfortable and concerned about catching something. I could overlook the rude lady at the front desk, but the lack of cleanliness is downright unsanitary and not okay. SKIP THIS PLACE. It's not worth your money or your health. They should be seriously be shut down if this is how they operate.
- 5/5
Easy ckeck in and out!
- 4/5
Was a little concern about area, lots of homeless, but no issue
- 4/5
The Express Inn is located on a section of 6th Ave long known for being a transition area in Eugene. Let's just say it's not the greatest part of town so it's not uncommon for one to encounter some sketchy individuals passing through. This is really the only negative about the location. The positive is there are nice coffee/bakery places within walking distance, as well as other fun eateries.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room with friendly staff
- 5/5
Great size rooms! Comfy beds, and just all around it's a decent environment, we really enjoyed our stay and definitely plan on staying again when we go to Eugene
- 4/5
Comfortable, clean room, reasonably priced, located in sketchy neighborhood but close to Hult Center and good restaurants. Needs hair dryer
- 5/5
Place to lay our heads for the night, nice room for a decent price.
- 2/5
We met up with friends who were in the room next to us and the on site manager started freaking out on us asking how many people we had in one room. Anytime we seen her she was questioning us about the amount of people in our room when we only had 4 people. Bed was SUPER uncomfortable. Rock solid. And every time you barely moved it squeaked SO loud. Also after being there only 30 minutes we found 3 bugs just crawling around the room
- 5/5
The mgr ts super nice & there is a convenient store across the street
- 1/5
Worst place we have ever stayed. Half the people staying there were permanent residents and they were all on drugs. One of which was our next door neighbors who stayed up all night fighting and slamming their doors until 2am. We were afraid staying here and uncomfortable leaving our belongings in the room. We were also afraid that our car was going to get broke into or stolen. The rooms were dirty and smelled awful. The beds were cheap, uncomfortable and squeaky. They reminded us of a couch pullout. The blankets had cigarette holes in them and the pillows were disgusting. We ended up sleeping on top of the provided blankets with our own blankets from the car. There was mold around the edges of the bathtub. We cleaned up some water we spilled on the floor and the towel was brown afterwards. All the towels looked dirty. We had booked multiple nights here but ended up checking out after the first night and booking a room somewhere else for the rest of our stay. The neighborhood was full of homeless people and people who were smoking crack right out in plain site. We will never stay here again.
- 2/5
Blood on pillow cases, no coffee in the room, not enough towels & noisy.
- 5/5
Good location
- 2/5
I liked the location and the size of the room. The layout was perfect. There was what looked like a blood splatter on the wall, and about half way through the night there was an ant infestation. Somethings wonky with the deposit as well. Not sure.
