Downtown Inn

Downtown Inn was an excellent choice for us. I was slightly skeptical because the inn looks older, but the room inside was wonderful. It was incredibly clean and we had plenty of room. We highly recommend Downtown Inn!!

Front desk lady was very nice. Location was walkable to restaurants and bars. Room smelled like it wasnt fresh. Needed airing out and a refresh of a good laundering of all fabrics, maybe a carpet steam. Pillows were not good.

Very affordable and very clean The wrong address is listed for the property so when I went to the property I had to message them to find out that it was a different property than the one listed on the address. They were very prompt in responding. It was like a block away. I'm sure it was just a mistake on the internet

This was such a great stay! The woman at the front desk was so nice and helpful, she even upgraded us to a king bed when we checked in. The room was impeccably clean, and everything was well-maintained. The area is walkable and felt safe.

Our room was immaculate. The management was friendly and helpful. The motel is located a quick 15-minute walk from downtown Eugene, close to Hult Center, fifth Street Market, the fabulous Eugene Saturday Market, restaurants, Skinners Butte Park, and library. We loved our stay.

The room was spotless. The location worked well for our travels. We were surprised that there was nothing offered in the way of breakfast. And there was no coffee available in the room or in the lobby. The manager gave us a vague excuse about the city of Eugene being difficult to work with in regards to offering even coffee.

Great stay! Nicely renovated, sparkling clean. Comfortable bed, loved the shower. Downtown location is good for restaurant choices and the Eugene Saturday Market.

This place had everything we needed for our one night stay. It was clean and felt safe enough. We were able to walk to the Hult center and find plenty of options to eat dinner nearby.

The room was clean and modern. Bed was firm but comfortable. Easy walk to the train station and lots of things to do downtown.

The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is the room I stayed at even though it was clean, smelled a little off. It smelled like a senior citizen who wore a lot of pomade BUT it was nothing that a Febreeze spray couldn’t fix. Would definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a great basic ‘place to lay your head’ motel, the Downtown Inn fits the bill. Large, clean, quiet room. Great, friendly service from the office.

My standards for budget hotels is cleanliness. If I’m going to do budget and want a clean room in Eugene I stay at Downtown inn. The couple that owns the place are lovely people and very helpful.

I knew the location was great for my plans in Eugene, but for a relatively inexpensive place, I wasnt expecting the room to be as nice/nicer than some of the 4-star hotels Ive stayed at. To check in, you have to ring doorbell to gain access to a bare bones lobby. It felt somewhat unsafe. Rooms were all outside entry on ground level, which also felt sketchy. Set on noisy road with lots of litter nearby. Room smelled weird. Would

Property is conveniently across from a convenient store, Starbucks, located near good eats, and U of O (approx 47min walk, and 7min drive). Beds/pillows are comfortable, and bathroom was very clean. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave, since not all places have both now a days. CONS: The room had a foul odor, maybe carpets need a good shampoo but at times it was pretty strong. And lots of spiders in the room. I saw at least 7 spiders during our stay. All in all, outside property is well taken care of, we needed the location convenience and I feel we definitely got that! And really enjoyed being near great food selection. If the two cons I mentioned were taken care of I’d stay again.

Simple, clean motel with comfy beds and pillow that's very close to UO. It's not fancy but, if you want someplace to rest well and take a good shower (strong water pressure!) at a good rate, this is it. And the staff was really friendly!

I have learned that you really don't get much more out of the higher end hotels, except for maybe a pool and a free but gross breakfast, for a couple hundred dollars more. This hotel is by no means pretentious or flashy. It's charming and incredibly conveniently located, with several fun live comedy/music venues and food options well within walking distance for even the laziest of us. The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly. Check in/out was super quick and easy. If you like to prioritize price and location, as I typically do, I would highly recommend this place.

Sheet was stained. Someone else's hair still in bathtub. Around midnight there was a loud beeping sound like an alarm going off right behind my headboard that I assume was coming from the next room and it didn't turn off for hours. Some guy was yelling at someone right outside my door and slamming things around soon after midnight, calling the other person the n-word and r-word. Luckily he slammed some doors and sped off in his truck after a while of yelling. Overall a terrible night's sleep.

Every quarter I go into Eugene for work, and I always try to stay someplace different. That place is very well situated on seventh, quick freeway access, close to a couple of restaurants, and one of my favorite ice cream shops. It’s not a bad spot at all…. Pretty top notch, considering it’s Eugene; reasonably priced, and the lady upfront who owns the place is super sweet and very accommodating. I’ll be staying here again in August when I come back.

Rated 9/10 but more like 1/10. Area is sketchy and the room was super small, old and dirty. It’s advertised as an inn but is a converted motel. The description misrepresents the actual property. We took one look at the room and walked out and went to a Comfort Suites. I should have known it would be bad when you have to pay up front and no refunds. I’m sure we aren’t the first to leave.

The Downtown Inn is my 'old reliable' when i stay in Eugene. Always clean, quiet, and affordable.

Very comfortable and convenient. I was in town for a Ducks football game with my 19 year old son and we loved the location more than we expected. There were great restaurants within walking distance for both dinner and breakfast/brunch. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and included a mini fridge and microwave.

The man who checked me in was very friendly and the process was easy and quick. Parking is right in front of the rooms which is nice. The exterior and interior of the building and my room was immaculate. I noticed that even the air conditioning unit that is outside the room was shiny clean and totally dust free. The room was a bit dated but well kept up, spacious enough, very clean, had plenty of table space, the bed was very comfortable, and had a microwave and fridge. It was great for my basic overnight needs. I had to walk the short distance to and from the Hult Center after dark; there were quite a number of homeless people out rummaging through trash and roaming around businesses nearby which was a bit unnerving as a woman walking alone at night but no one bothered me and I was glad my car was safe right in from of my room. This motel is a well maintained basic place to stay in great proximity the Hult Center.

Downtown Inn was a great option for us for UO Family Weekend. Having designated parking was great, the room was clean and comfortable, and we were able to walk just about everywhere we went. Henry was welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. I would highly recommend!

The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I noticed was we had a dripping shower faucet, but it wasn’t so bad that we could hear it, just that it dripped. Other than that, the location was convenient and felt pretty safe. Close to the Saturday Farmer’s Market so that was cool. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is nice, no coffee maker but clean and the front office staff is nice. Cautionary notes - when booking - the room picture shows two queen beds but the room description says one queen bed. Trust the description.

I have to say it was very clean! But it was an expensive room that didn’t even have a coffee maker in the room. When I had problems with the toilet, they responded immediately. The staff was always very attentive.

Enjoyed our stay at the Downtown Inn—clean and comfortable beds, good price. The only thing is that the sink is kind of high and there’s no coffee maker in the room or coffee available. There is a Starbucks on the corner, though, so not a biggie to get your morning coffee before starting your day.

Owners / managers are very friendly and service is fast and efficient. This small hotel is a great find in Eugene. Despite the somewhat rough area / streets surrounding the hotel, it is quiet and safe.

The price (for downtown Eugene) was excellent, property updated and room very clean with everything you might need thoughtful extras, perfect location for where I needed to be. No coffee maker in room, but the coffee across the street at the Chevron was really good. I was so glad to have found this place!

Such a clean, lovely motel! They provide all that you need and make the extra effort of presentation. (For example, there was a rose, made out of toilet paper, on top of the TP roll! Who does that?! These guys.) All the amenities you want in a motel. Terrific stay.

We arranged a late check in, and were greeted by the owner. The room was above expectations with the small touches included. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The only recommendation I would have would be to include a small coffee maker. Other than that, this definitely rates a 10!!

The location is situated in an undesirable location. Aside from this the beds are awful. My back and neck were still for the few days that we were there. Aside from this, it's a below than average hotel.

Got in late yet check in was easy. Very friendly front desk person. The rooms are as described. Nothing fancy but comfortable, clean and quiet. Like others I usually wouldn’t choose a motel over a more traditional hotel but the reviews sold me and it didn’t disappoint. Highly recommended.

The people who ran the place gave us a break from an increase in price because of an event happening in town when we arrived when in town due to our sister being sick & passed away while we were staying there. Family like & kind people. May God Bless you all.

It is a decent hotel and was quiet and nice to stay. In a 5 mins walk you have Five guys, JJ, Starbucks and Taco Bell.
