Not clean, not a good experience

Can’t believe that the charge for the room was $350+. We really wish we could get a refund. We did not stay there. Spent a total of 10 minutes in the room. Please don’t rent this room to anyone else. Do not recommend!
- 1/5
Some stranger knocked on my door and peaked in the window in the middle of the night poor coustomerservice and wheni booked online i wasnt told that there was also a reservation fee plus a pet fee and it was smaller than a studio apartment i will never ever stay at autzen inn again
- 1/5
The room was dirty. The pillow cases and towels had stains. There was dirt under the bed. Not the nicest place to stay longer than you have. If you need to stay here good luck. But there was a 7/11 close and the small tv did have impractical jokers on.

Yes
- 5/5
Bed was comfy room was clean microwave & fridge worked!
- 3/5
Cleaning chemical smell on sheets and towels.
- 3/5
Just a cheap room in the bad part of town. Nothing to see here.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 1/5
Not a good area of town. Drug area. Homeless. Prostitutes. I think the staff is trying with what options they have. I didn't realize the room that I reserved was a "smoking" room and we don't smoke. They had no other options.
- 5/5
I came back again to conduct business in the area. This hotel just checks all the boxes for me so I'll use it as long as it's within a certain distance of where I'm going.
- 5/5
Very easy to get checked in even though it was pretty late at night. The hosts were very accommodating and made it extremely quick so we could get to our room. I did notice that there really wasn't but one trash can which made it kind of hard when somebody was trying to be in the bathroom and in the sleeping area at the same time.
- 3/5
It was clean enough, but it was a hot weekend and the a/c did not work properly. Made for a miserable stay.
- 5/5
It was casual, i got a good night's rest and a warm shower,
- 2/5
If you need to be inside, this room was OK otherwise I would pass.
- 4/5
Room was clean and amazing
- 1/5
The most rundown ghetto hotel in a rough neighborhood. We did not feel safe and the room was so gross we were not comfortable.
- 3/5
2star hotel so just ok
- 5/5
The hotel was in close proximity to the college where our granddaughter graduated from.
- 1/5
one of the worst motels I have ever stayed in. Holes in the walls and bathroom tiles missing and fixtures not secured. The whole room needed to have a makeover. Way overpriced for what was offered.
- 4/5
This is a low end motel but as such it is a great bargain inn. Little kitchen. Plenty of room. Easy access. Lots of things that other budget motels don’t have. If you are looking to save money, it’s a good place to stay.
- 1/5
The front desk person was nice enough, however place was dirty & mattress soiled with what looked like blood & cigarette burns. Closet, but no hangers, pillows were flat as a pancake, sheet kept coming off the mattress, and no housekeeping for the three nights & four days I was there. Was told it was a “budget” hotel by way of explanation & then was told that I could have been charged an additional $200 (deposit); not very “budget” if you ask me.
- 1/5
Room was disgusting, hair everywhere especially in the shower.. I asked politely for some cleaner so I could clean and the guy was so abrasive and mean. The wife was nice enough but I could not get a refund or my deposit back after only being in there for less than two hours. I had to buy my own cleaner and rags to be able to shower
- 3/5
Unfortunately, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, but there was a kitchen availabile in the rental if one knew about it. The bathroom was clean. The mattress was comfortable.
- 3/5
Location was close to my event!
- 5/5
Very very nice staff! Comfy and cozy lil room.
- 5/5
The front desk people are very nice
- 2/5
This is definitely not worth the money.
- 3/5
It was ok. The price should of been $55 for that room. The bathroom was a good size. You could fit a dog in the tub.
- 4/5
Clean room. Friendly staff.
- 2/5
It was a very old room. Unfortunately it was a smoking room so smelled like cigarettes. All appliances were from the 50’s it looked like. The mirror in the bathroom was up so high on the wall I could only see the top of my head. The toilet was leaking water at the base. I tried to report it but no one was in the office when we left about 7:00am.
- 1/5
The room was super old! Need sheets updated, towels cleaned (or new), new carpet, new beds! Updates are a must for the price you are charging!
- 2/5
This was expensive for what you got! The rooms are dated, bedding super old, nasty towels and the smell of the room as terrible!
- 2/5
Our room smelled of cigarette smoke. Walls were thin and we could hear conversations through the wall. The quilt was yellowing, floors were dirty, and the bathroom was pretty gross— Stains everywhere, bad lighting, etc. let’s just say we didn’t feel great about setting anything on any surface. Sleeping in the bed as intended was not an option for us.The pillows were flat as pancakes. We were lucky we brought our own. My friend and I also brought sleeping bags just in case and ended up sleeping in those on top of the quilt because everything felt grimy. The area was pretty sketchy for two women by themselves. We did not feel safe. I will say the shower was really good though. This is probably more of a “last resort” option, which it was for us. I’ve had cheaper stays that were much cleaner and safer.
- 3/5
Worked fine for two guys just going to a football game. Wives would not ever want to stay here
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, nice location
- 5/5
Seen lots of people harp on this place. But hard to beat what is basically an efficiency apt for the price. Full-size fridge, 4 burner stove plus oven Plenty of channels on TV, bed comfortable and clean. Downtown has its characters, but no problems with noise or safety. Close to bars, restaurants, 7-11s For a single person for a night or two, a good find.
- 1/5
Bad Area In Eugene, Oregon.. I wouldn’t recommend this Motel
- 1/5
Very dirty, poor customer service, every room has smoke smell
- 4/5
Negatives: parking lot is a little tough to get in and out of, neighborhood isn't ideal. No extras except for a fridge and microwave. Definitely recommended if you're wanting to stay in Eugene without needing luxury.
- 3/5
The hotel was dated. There was no where to put clothes-no dresser or closet. It was clean. The bed was comfortable and the towels were nice and fluffy. We had a couple of issues that were taken care of quickly. The location was convenient to public transit, the airport, and restaurants. We were there for an event so we didn’t spend much time there. It is not a place to stay if you are just vacationing. The hotel offers no amenities such as a pool.
- 1/5
Very poor neighborhood and people in the neighborhood not controlled by anyone . Possibly or potentially unsafe to individuals and their health and livelihood.
- 1/5
Avoid this Inn, absolutely not worth more than $50-$60 per night. We have been traveling from Seattle and heading for LA, stopped at several Inns along the way, this one was definitely our worst option. I paid around $180 per night and I was going to stay two nights but I had to check out very early morning next day and in fact lost one night because it couldn't be refunded anymore (I wish Expedia had a policy for such situations to at least refund the remaining nights). This Inn doesn't even have "professional" staff, we felt very bad smell from the room (couldn't figure whether due to detergent or any other thing), and we were very uncomfortable with the environment in general.
- 1/5
When we arrived at the "inn" it seemed run down and sketchy. We still decided to check in because we had paid in full. We went to our room which smelled strongly of bleach. We pulled back the bedding to find a live gnat type bug and dead gnat type bug. The shower and bathroom floor had alot hair. No way was this bathroom cleaned properly. We checked out, were told no refund...we were out $160.00. This place is far from an "inn." More like a strip of run down rooms. Do not waste your money here!!!!
- 2/5
run down rooms, broken furniture, stained carpets, no covers on lights (exposed bulbs), smelled of bleach
- 5/5
Great service nice people
- 1/5
They rented us a room reeking of smoke and when we realized that the room was not a nonsmoking room and demanded to move to a nonsmoking room, they wouldn’t let us. We had to pay for another room. Altogether we spent more $430 for the night. This hotel does not deserve even single star.
- 2/5
Room smelled bad, dirt in the corners and a tweeker ranting, raving and cursing while digging through the garbage out back. Left that night but since I checked in and signed, no refunds. My fault for not doing my due diligence and signing without fully reading.
- 1/5
Rooms feels so unsafe
- 1/5
We drove by & the hotel was not as it was explained on the website. It was a very bad part of town and the hotel appeared to have quite a few people living on site. We tried to get a refund but were not able to. Our friends also reserved a room & we both chose to drive home instead of staying at the property.
- 1/5
It's not what was advertised on the webpage. The pic and room are entirely different. Old-smelling food in the refrigerator and beds were horrible, and I didn't even want to stay. Unfortunately you have to pay before you get a room key. And there are no refunds.
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, and comfortable.
- 2/5
Decent sleep. Old bldg. Old part of town.
- 1/5
.
- 4/5
Inexpensive, bare bones and dog friendly.
- 4/5
I think Google has this property rated a 1 star, but i would give it at least 2 stars. My room was clean and comfortable. The toilet flushed and the water in the shower was hot. The staff were friendly. It's less than 20 minutes from the airport.
- 1/5
Due to a health emergency, I was unable to use this reservation. I planned on having to pay for the 1st night, but was unpleasantly surprised when I was told I would have to pay for both nights because it was all on 1 reservation. To be fair, I have never been there, so I have no information on the actual property, but I don't plan on ever staying there now.
- 2/5
Dirty towels and washcloths
- 2/5
Not very clean; sheets were stained.
- 4/5
While this is an older hotel it is in a great location between the Airport, downtown, and Autzen stadium. It has that homey feel and honestly I cannot complain. If you're all about 5 star hotels this isn't for you, but if you need a place to lay your head Autzen Inn fits the bill.
- 3/5
The only other thing I would mention is the metal base under the matress would loudly pop sometimes when i moved around in bed and when i got out of bed. It was no biggie, just annoying. Last thing, the shower drain cover had a round nub sticking up that was very unpleasant to step on. Believe me, I didn't make that mistake twice. Bottom line, it was a clean, comfortable room and I would stay there again. The operators/owners couldn't have been nicer.
- 1/5
Super tiny room and dirty sheets and broken bathroom door
- 1/5
Very outdated. Smell of smoke unacceptable!
- 3/5
Tv didnt work. Old and smelly.
- 5/5
It was comfortable. I mean, I had to work, so for the price it was reasonable. I definitely would come back there again.
- 4/5
Great location, good price, excellent tv. Comfy bed, big shower. Only real downfall was Luke warm showers. Will stay again unless I move to Eugene.
- 1/5
The place smell so bad and the A/C did not work. And they did not want to help. They promised will help but nothing happened.
- 3/5
Limited accommodation no interactions by staff, impersonal
- 4/5
As other reviewers have said, this place is pretty dated and barebones. And given the city-wide racket of hotel rooms being overpriced on football game days, it was a lot more expensive than it should have been. That said, it was the most affordable option around and was plenty sufficient for what we needed: a place to sleep after a long day.
- 3/5
Cheapest hotel for a Ducks game night.
- 3/5
Older but clean property. Small and needs new mattresses. Quite and needs more electrical outlets.
- 5/5
Nothing fancy, but a good place to crash. It looks like they have just one person who works there as both the counter person and maid
- 3/5
For a little mom and pop motel, it turned out to be fine. At first look when I got there I was a little shocked at where it was and how it looked, But it turned out to be clean and the owners were helpful. My complaint is what I paid. This is NOT a hundred dollar motel!!!! I am not picky and I slept fine and it served it's purpose. BUT, at what I paid I was expecting something else, and there are folks that would would have not even given it a chance. At sixty, seventy bucks, you would have gotten what you expected.
- 1/5
The gentleman, who I assume owns and operates the motel, made sure to tell me when I checked in that there is no smoking in the room. Of course I know that because you can't smoke in any motel anymore. That was the only rule he stated to me. In the morning when I was leaving he came in to the room and said that it smelled of smoke, which was not possible because no one had smoked in the room. It is my opinion that he did this just to steal my $150 deposit.
- 4/5
It was a room for us to crash in after the game formerly known as the Civil War, which was all I needed and/or expected. Can't speak much for the amenities since I didn't really use them except passing out on the bed and hangover-puking into the toilet the next morning, but the bed was pretty comfy (or I was just that drunk). The vibes were a lot more Grandma's Log Cabin than I was expecting. It's obviously not the Four Seasons but I had no major issues.
- 5/5
I knew this was t the Ritz when I booked. The manager was friendly & the room was exactly what we needed, a place to crash after a late night football game. I sincerely hope no one posts negative comments about this place, because it’s exactly what you knew it was. Be kind people
- 3/5
If you’re looking for clean and VERY basic it’s fine. Very noisy intersection. Zero frills and I mean bring your own TP. but it was fine. Fine.
- 2/5
This place qualifies as a first class DUMP.
- 1/5
I want my my credit card refunded
- 2/5
it is not clean and can't even lock the bathroom
- 1/5
Well its very difficult to reach anyone on the phone over there and the manager just took a flight somewhere when i had to come back to the office to get my cash deposit back and didnt leave anyone in the office authorized to give me back the deposit do it has to be mailed to me. The rooms were ok but my one pillow REEKED of BO. I had to put it across the room to sleep. Sheets were clean but the pillows need to be washed or replaced
- 5/5
As I thought I had booked a hotel in Cottage Grove, I was a bit surprised to find myself on the western edge of Eugene, but the staff was friendly and facility clean. Very small "Inn," just a few rooms, and between two busy streets, but with the fan on, it was completely quiet. I would happily stay there again if I was ever actually going in that direction.
- 3/5
It’s a motel. Didn’t use the shower as we got there late and left early the next day. The linen was clean as was the rest of the space. There is a fridge and sink, stove did not work.
- 1/5
Room was extremely small. Bed was NOT a queen size. I've seen bigger showers in Europe. Fridge was broken. TV was so small you could barely see it from the bed. And the area was suspect at best. Would not recommend until extensive work has been done to building, amenities, and staff.
- 5/5
The room was clean and simple. You're not going to impress anyone with it but it gets the job done if you just need a place to sleep. Owners are super friendly and allowed an earlier check-in.
- 4/5
Just a quick overnight, so the basic room that had not been updated in many years was fine. Nothing special, and due to demand was priced much higher than it was worth. But if you are looking for a basic room that will due, then this would be fine.
- 5/5
The couple running the place were very sweet. Despite being an older building the interior looked renovated and spotless. WiFi reception was great and overall comfort was superb.
- 4/5
The owner's are dedicated to making their business successful. They work hard to make their guest feel welcomed and at home. We are thankful for our visit and highly recommend.
- 2/5
room did have a kitchenette, which was good, bed was not very comfortable, room was semi clean. worst part was as they came to checkout a friend in the room had a dog, which she had carried in in her purse. thing was all of 6 in tall.. mini chijuaha, and they took 30$ of the 50$ "incidental" deposit for this.
- 3/5
Was an old hotel. Adequate for a night’s sleep. The room was clean, just dated. And old style motel not far from college campus. It did have a refrigerator, microwave and sink. Only spent 1 night as we were escaping from the road closures due to wildfires elsewhere in the state.
- 4/5
It was exactly what i expected, and i enjoyed the extra rest i got.
- 3/5
Minimal benefits here.
- 1/5
excess noise, supper outdated, too expensive for what it is
- 1/5
Canceled room with 24+hour notice, refused refund. Toiletries lacking.
- 5/5
The compact and comfortable even secure atmosphere of the hotel
- 1/5
My husband is 70 and a fall risk. The parking lot was knee deep in ice and water. I know it was knee deep because our car got stuck and I had to push us out. They wouldn't help with our bags. I told them there would be trouble if my husband fell. They refused us our room and kept our 500.00. This hotel smelled moldy and the room was the size of a postage stamp in a very seedy part of town.
- 3/5
This vintage motel in the Industrial area was just what I expected in local and the room was pleasantly clean, if you are looking for a place to sleep and shower this is fine. The owners keep it very clean but no updates other than tv in the last half century. This met my needs for the reasonable price. The TV didn’t work initially and the owner came and had it fixed quickly I noticed some reviews mentioned the smell which on my room was simply cold wood as soon as I got the room warmed up it was fine
- 1/5
I was under the impression it was a dog friendly hotel, but they charged me an extra $100 after checking out. Scammers!
- 2/5
Nasty place- looked like the room hadn't been updated since the 1950s. Found hair in the bed, and the mattress was as hard as plywood. Bathroom at least was updated, they must have run out of money to do the rest. Avoid.
- 2/5
So here is where Hotel. Com has really gone not so nice in their name they charge to much for ahotel yhat was built in the 70s or built poorly. All the fixtures in the room are looking very so old plumbing was done by a rookie. I have been in building up keep for the past 30 years and haven’t seen bad repairs like what i saw. Beds are a little worn and the area is not the best. Plus Hotel. Com over charged me and you can’t contact them.
- 2/5
Room sparsely decorated, 1 chair at table no other fyrniture except beds. 200$ a night for this hotel is insane. Room did not look like it did on internet nor did picture from the sign adequately represent the location of hotel surroundings. Nice job of at least misleading advertising . It was at least a relitively quiet place.
- 2/5
I actually mistakenly booked this hotel. It was OK for a bed and shower but otherwise it is in dire need of renovation. The old dark wood panel desperately needs t go. I could not find any plugs to charge my phone.
- 4/5
Good for the night. Wifi didnt work. Pretty clean but spartan.
- 3/5
We appreciated the fact that even though, the room was not up to that price nor condition was great, the owner kept it nice and clean, and it was obvious they took pride with what they had.
