Reviews
The hotel is in a convenient location with friendly staff, but it is in desperate need of renovation and cleanliness. Many guests have reported issues with mold, dirty rooms, and worn-out carpeting.

Evening staff was friendly and worked in a professional manner. He gets a thumbs up for his assistance with my incorrect booking resolution. The room was satisfactory. The tv didn't work, in that I couldn't get the remote to connect to the TV. All that I could get to operate was a Roku remote, with no channels that actually had programs visable.

The breakfast was amazing with great choice for a grab and go meal. They had biscuits and gravy, eggs, cereal, pastries, bagels and yogurt to name a few. They also had it laid out early as we had a 5am departure. The staff is friendly.

The room smelled like someone had just finished smoking a pack of cigarettes. Disgusting.

Grossly undermaintained.

The decor is very dated and the building needs renovations. The carpet is extremely worn, the beds weren't very comfortable, and everything just looked old. However, it was very clean, the staff was friendly, and it was surprisingly quiet.
- 2/5
The room was not cleaned well.

The location The room was not cleaned well.

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. It felt like I was staying at a homeless shelter. I wanted to cancel my reservation as soon as I walked in, but they have a no refund policy, so I was stuck staying there. The place smelled like crap and vomit, carpets were stained and shredded, window shades ripped up, the 'breakfast' gave me food poisoning, room was dirty and never got room service. Ghetto and nasty!
- 1/5
The queen size bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Housekeeping disabled the deadbolt and let themselves into my room at 8:00 a.m. without knocking or announcing themselves. The wifi would die every few minutes for a few minutes before coming back. The general vibe of the hotel is run down, dirty, broken, and hostile.

There were a variety of options bothhot and cold, easy to access and you can sit down there or take it back to your room.

I was very comfortable for my longvterm stay at the Travelodge. The employees were all very kind, friendly and respectful. Checking in and out was simple and efficient. My needs were all met.
- 2/5
The price was reasonable for my stay. The bed was terrible

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was okay. I couldn't deal with the TV and just used my own computer to watch some TV. However, the internet was so bad, I couldn't really watch much and could barely work. I can't stay at this place with such poor internet access when I'm relying on it for work.

- 3/5
Somewhat dated and worn, but clean and good value. I reserved an accessible room, but none of the amenities pictured were in the room. Very difficult to safely take a shower without adequate grab bars and/or a shower chair.

I missed breakfast. I ended very ill just after checking in. I troubke with my key because of it. The young man at the front desk came quickly to assist me. He was kind and his only concern was that I was alright. The didnt have a phone, hiwever there were plenry of t.v. channels, a refrigerator and a microwave. The room was clean, plenty of towel and soft pillows. It was perfect for whatvi needed. The heat and cooler worked and i felt same. I wish i knew the young man at the front desks name. He deserves props. He had a lot going on and still came to help me. Id like to stay there again. Just remember your phone.
- 3/5
The price reflects the condition of the property. Needs a major overhaul from new carpets to patching holes in walls and missing drywall in shower. Smoke detector missing in ceiling. Overall safe no issues and easy accsss to car. Hot shower worked, clean towels and bedding. The price was right to get off the freeway at night and right across the street are food options. I’d stay again.
- 5/5
Comfortable room. Very nice and friendly staff.
- 3/5
The room was in very good condition, but there was evidence of needed fixing of details. Some staff was very pleasant, but others were pleasant but just there doing jobs, The hall carpets were threadbare. The breakfast rooms were clean but had minimal offerings and poorly attend to. Guests had to remind the staff when food items were out. The neighboring hotel, Super 8,was in similar condition, and using the same staff. Will we stay here again, we are not sure.
- 5/5
Nice room for the price. Good breakfast.
- 5/5

- 2/5
The hotel was very run down and dirty. Staff was helpful and friendly
- 1/5
Hotel needs TLC, carpet was torn and pieces were missing, plumbing was horrible, stained chairs. Price didn’t make up for quality
- 5/5
I.t is a fine place for an overnight
- 1/5
Checked in and once I saw the room, had to find another better kept location. The carpet in hallway to the rooms was torn in multiple places and potential tripping hazards covered in duct tape. The room smelled of mildew, the curtains were shredded. Worse hotel I've ever seen.
- 1/5
$350 Cash Deposit Required, not a credit or debit card. CASH!!! This seems illegal, if not certainly unethical and unprofessional.
- 2/5
Breakfast menu was laughable.
- 2/5
The ladies at the front desk were not at all welcoming. They didn't smile or even stand up when we came to the desk. The young man who checked us in was great. The property is very old and the hallway carpet is worn out. There were stains on our chairs.
- 3/5
Had a strange odor on the first floor and in my room.
- 1/5
The facility and room was very dirty and I did not stay there after viewing the room.
- 3/5
This place had old torn up carpet, no smoke detector, toilet ran excessive. Breakfast selection was decent but no hot eggs and meat as stated there would be before breakfast was over. Had to get breakfast elsewhere after counting on it being available.
- 1/5
Bed uncomfortable, noisy, not clean rude people said if we didn’t like we could get out
- 4/5
The linings in the drapes were torn. Thehall carpet was very worn. Breakfast was very disappointing. The faucet on the sink needed repair. Bathroom hardware was loose. More information in rooms needs to be available. ie: WiFi instruction, restaurants…. The staff themselves were professional and pleasant.
- 3/5
The stay was comfortable. And we enjoyed the breakfast and the staff.
- 3/5
Stinky, worn out carpet
- 2/5
The facility could use some care. The carpets in the hallways are becoming thread bare. Couldn’t get the remote to work
- 2/5
Needs cleaning and updating
- 5/5
Property is looking tired, clean but slightly worn out
- 5/5
Perfectly comfortable and close to everything you could possibly need.
- 2/5
The breakfast was good and offered good protein choices. The overnight employee was friendly and personable.
- 5/5
The Roku TV made it possible for me to catch up with Apple TV shows.
- 3/5
It wasn’t to bad. Cheap price. Quiet and clean enough
- 4/5
Quick overnight traveling through
- 3/5
Only so much to be expected in a cheap hotel. The one big concern i saw was the broken door locks
- 3/5
It wasn't the best, but it was nice and cheap so well worth the price. I would suggest planning on going out somewhere for breakfast, the hotel breakfast left much to be desired. Chicken sausage links in a crock pot and pre-cooked eggs you could warm up in the microwave.
- 1/5
Terrible
- 2/5
Extremely worn down property. Bad area. The breakfast was not good either. Bed was comfortable and shampoo etc. Provided. Free bag of micro popcorn that was a nice touch
- 1/5
The first room they gave us nothing worked the fridge, the coffee maker , the tv all dint work. The next room everthing worked. The tv was so small we set it up on the refrigerator so we could see it, the coffee maker had the used filter and old coffee still in it from the previous occupants. The carpet was so disgusting we left a day early and the hallways stunk and so did the stairwells. The free breakfast was pretty good though
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful
- 1/5
Old bedding, old hotel, old furniture. My room smelled really old.
- 2/5
It was gross.
- 3/5
The highlight was how quiet the place was. There was nothing special about this place. It is old, worn, and absolutely dated, but, just like any other place, you get what you pay for. I will never stay here again, because it is too old and worn. It could use carpet removal, new curtains or shades, some serious tlc. Here’s the curtains!! See photo.
- 1/5
The room is truly unacceptable—dirty carpets, a moldy bathroom, filthy, stained chairs, and toenails in the bed. If I had not driven 8 hours, I would have found another place to stay and paid the cost.
- 3/5
My hotel room didn’t have a screen or a lock on the window. There also wasn’t an inside lock on the door of the hotel room. I stayed with my dog, who is very protective, otherwise I would have checked out and found a safer and better kept property. Be aware, you get what you pay for.
- 2/5
Non smoking posted, but smell like smoke. Carpet very worn in halls. Coffee pot in room was dirty inside, used washcloth left in bathroom. TV didnt work, would've had to move upstairs to get a working TV. Too tired to do so after a long day
- 1/5
Very Ran down! Disgusting! The worst Travelodge I’ve experienced. Checked out as soon as I checked in! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone!
- 1/5
In three years since last review nothing has been repaired, carpet is dirty or threadbare, rooms are clean but grungy. toilet didn't flush, staff didn't care that I was unhappy with room
- 3/5
We checked into our room. First thing I noticed was that some of the base boards in the room were not attached to the wall. Some had even fallen flat on the floor. Then I noticed that the floor was not clean. There were debris and even coins on the floor. When I walked on it with my bare feet my feel could feel the dirt and grime. I understand why properties have gone to hard surface floors but at least clean them. The Hall way carpet needs to be replaced. Thread bare down the middle for the halls. I was not happy at all.
- 1/5
Looks the same, all building is really old
- 3/5
Was ok
- 1/5
Checked in the hotel and checked out within an hour to go somewhere else. The gentleman in the front was very nice and helpful. But the owners really have to do a better job at fixing up this hotel. The first bad impression as we are pulling up the hotel parking lot is that you can see the blinds are torn up, broken, missing chunks, etc. Second, when we were walking up to our room, the carpets in the halls were torn up and holding together by tape. Third, the door in our room was not working, finally the front staff gave us a new room after several attempts of trying to open the door. When we went in the room, it had a funky smell. My youngest kid wanted to use the bathroom and complained about the bad odor. When I went in to check, it smelled horrible. There was black mold and the tub looked dirty. The bed had stains. The pillows reeked. I finally decided to go check out and get a better hotel. I was surprised the hotel was in these conditions. I have stayed in cheaper hotels with better conditions, not the best, but way better than this hotel. My mistake was I never read the reviewed. Learned my lesson! I do not recommend booking at this hotel. The motel 6 will most likely be in better conditions. This may be a good spot for someone who just needs somewhere to sleep in, but not for my family and I. We had a long week trip and wanted somewhere we felt comfortable in where we could shower and sleep without worrying about the stains and smells.
- 1/5
Hasn’t been updated in many years
- 1/5
The room and everything about the hotel was terrible
- 2/5
The cleanliness was horrible. The building is in disrepair. The carpet in the hallway is 40 years old. The rooms were out of date and dirty. Would you sit in these chairs???
- 4/5
Close to restaurants, the Elko county museum and park, safe and easy parking. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 2/5
The room rate was good however main road facing room was noisy. Room TV not working. Limited breakfast.
- 1/5
Ac smelled , hallway carpet warn and duct taped, breakfast uneditable
- 1/5
I did not stay, as upon check in i was informed that because i'm a local resident this hotel demands a $350 CASH ONLY deposit. I have a hard time believing that Wyndham Corp is aware of this stipulation. Building interior is in horrible condition, carpet is torn and filthy. If this is the new standard for Wyndham, they better believe i will never even consider staying at any of their properties.
- 3/5
The room was okay but it smelled of mildew. The carpet in the hotel hallway was in horrible shape - badly worn and coming apart everywhere.
- 2/5
This place is too old and it stinks the bed was horrible.
- 1/5
Bathroom drain was filthy & had no plug. Hall carpet was torn over3/4 of its link
- 1/5
I reserved my room with hotels.com and was told there could be a $100 dollar deposit. When I arrived I was told that since my address was local I would be charged a *cash only* $350 dollar deposit with no reciept to prove I provided the deposit. It was only $250 for people from out of town. I checked with travelodge(corporate) and they assured me that was not their policy. None of this was on hotels.com and it wasnt returned until they waked the room before I checked out. The place looks like a drillers "mancamp" everything was old and damaged, the heater didnt work. They are charging hundreds of dollars on a deposit for a room that i wouldnt even shower in. The only nice thing I really have to say is that the Employees were polite and wonderfully helpful.
- 5/5
The room was well appointed, the bwd was suprisingly comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure and lots of hot water I neede after a 16 hpur drive
- 2/5
Shower had hairs still in the tub, room smelled funky.
- 1/5
Was very dirty had a bad smell all the carpets were destroyed
- 1/5
First off, I want to start by saying that I rarely leave reviews, but I feel strongly about letting everyone know to avoid this place at all costs. When I tell you I was horrified…I mean it. I am all about budget-friendly hotels, but my two requirements are clean and safe. This place was far from even slightly meeting those requirements. The shower was dripping and so moldy that we didn’t even want to take a shower. There were fluids on the wall and look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. The bathroom light didn’t even work. The side door quite literally could not close allowing anyone to come in and go as people did. It seemed as if the people next door were having possibly illegal fun. There was a girl that would knock on the door saying “times up” and then another person would go in after. The room smelled MUSTY, holes in the curtains, duct taped floors, portions of the wall missing, my bed skirt was missing LOL. I literally felt like bugs were crawling on me all night and could not sleep…maybe that was the case or maybe I just felt my skin crawling because of how absolutely disgusting this place was. I could go on about many other things, but I’ll end it on two positive things…the staff was kind and the ice machine has good ice haha!
- 5/5
Richie at the front desk, provided excellent customer service with needed paperwork.
- 3/5
Could for sure use some updates and upgrades, but staff was amazing. Bed was comfortable and free breakfast was yummy
- 1/5
Should work better on canceling policy
- 1/5
The night manager deserves positive recognition for going out of his to be helpful, but the property owners need a swift kick in the nuts for lack of maintenance on this property, and for keeping cleaning staff with no follow-through. The first room wasn’t cleaned, linens unchanged, considerable trash not taken out. Second room (213) could not get the key to work after multiple attempts by the manager to reprogram. I was placed in 214; bottom of tub was grungy, and the lights between the beds quit working when someone slammed door in the hallway.
- 5/5
I with the front desk worker and they explained why this hotel is about $100 less than the other hotels a minute walk away, has torn up hallway carpets, permanently unlocked exit doors, but good showers, good and clean beds, warm rooms, and good breakfasts. The hotel caters to the local miners who surge in and expect a good bed, good shower, and good food but not a pool, hot tub, good carpets, etc, but like saving money. While my review metrics my seem poor I would stay here again because I need a bedroom, shower, and breakfast. The additional stuff isn't necessary for me but would be for my wife and kids.
- 1/5
The hotel was worn out and not clean.
- 1/5
The property was run down, dirty, dysfunctional, and uninhabitable. I left a day early because it was so bad and they refused me a refund.
- 1/5
I was giving a handicap room with no bathroom door and everything was low to the floor. I'm 6'3" I'm tall.
- 4/5
Front desk staff acted confused like they never checked in a customer before.
- 2/5
Property in good location; very austere. Carpets threadbare, garbage from prior occupant in waste baskets, curtains atrocious (backing had been cut out, rather than replacing curtain...no privacy), wall lamp unusable (tried replacing light bulb, still did not work). Extension cords in a snarled mess on top of cabinet.
- 5/5
Many reasons
- 5/5
.
- 1/5
Ladies at the front desk are not helpful not professional and there ready to kick people out.
- 1/5
One of the ladies that worked at the front desk was not professional she was ready to throw a person out for complaining about his bad knee and needed a first floor. Told the guy "if you don't like it go somewhere else".
- 2/5
The place was not well maintained.
- 2/5
A worn out property. Carpets ridiculous. Bathroom clean but so worn out. Fix it up or board it up.
- 4/5
The place was not very clean like it had a very old old musky smell in it and the brooms were clean the beds were hard
- 2/5
Dislike: not clean, less properly facilities
- 2/5
The property is in decline. Carpet in the room and hall stained and worn. Safety lock on room door broken. Bed and linen okay. The lights between the beds had been unplugged and the clock. Wi-Fit connection spotty. The rear entry way not well lighted and door didn't close easily and propped open by smokers. I would not stay there again.
- 3/5
First room i checked into was not cleaned. Front desk switched me to another room with no problems
- 1/5
Did not stay. They wanted a $350 CASH ONKY deposit because I’m local. I was there on my last day, cleaned my apartment…just wanted a bed. You list a customer.
- 5/5
Clean place
- 5/5
Maintenance could be better but nice place to stay
- 5/5
Nice place to stay! The staff were very nice and helpful. Quiet place too stay felt very safe.
- 1/5
Awful. Place was filthy
- 5/5
Good for pets.
- 2/5
We spent one night here because of the cheapest rate around this area. Overall i give this room is 2star because the amenities aren’t clean, everything is looking dirty, the bathroom is , towels, bedsheets, walls, and the walking hallways. Other than it’s quite area and the breakfast is good.
- 3/5
You get what you pay for here. Staff was friendly but the rooms are disgusting. Dirty blankets, deadbolt broken off the door, carpets in the room are gross. Again, you get what you pay for. Could use a massive remodel.
- 1/5
The only upside is the staff was nice, even though they said they were aware of the smell. We did get a refund and we found a different hotel to stay in for the night that was clean.
- 2/5
If need to place to sleep it is for the budget minded people It is old the staff was nice.
- 4/5
I love the fact that we had privacy and the room was awesome and it was Pretty central to everything in Elko. I would would to come back soon
- 3/5
You get what you pay for however, our tv would not work the sinks faucet was not consistent with temp or pressure the showers/ tub temp was not adjustable and there was very little pressure from the crusted showers heady
- 1/5
I didnt like that every thing was a mess and it was old and needs to get update the tv doesnt work and carpet is disgusting
- 5/5
Nice, quiet and clean
- 5/5
I loved their breakfast. They had omelettes and a lot of other options. They order their food two times a week so it’s more fresh. A lot of breakfast options at Travelodge and access to breakfast next-door. They had biscuits and gravy at the motel 8. Quiet at night and really close to a park which we liked for our dog.
- 4/5
This is a very old place. The beds are old. Pretty much every thing is old. The help is nice. Probably won’t stay here again. It’s 20$ per pet.
- 2/5
Terrible hwy noise. No working light bulb in bathroom shower area. Old bath fan with black crud on it.
- 2/5
The place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The lady that cleaned our room was very nice, but I don’t think they taught her what was involved. There were dirty socks behind the refrigerator, base of toilet had dirt all over both sides..
- 1/5
Dirty, smelled.
- 1/5
No tv the entire time. No help from front desk. Toilet running all the time.
- 5/5
This motel is close to the Elko Convention Center, as well as a couple nice restaurants within walking distances. Easy access to downtown Elko as well.
- 4/5
Clean, but needed update—worn carpet in halls, chrome in tub worn off…
- 5/5
Very nice
- 1/5
This place needs a major renovation. Carpet, fixtures, furniture all need major repair. Staff was fine and good selection of soap and shampoo only good things.
- 4/5
Staff was very nice
- 3/5
The property is really in a bad condition. Everything is really old and falling apart. Carpet are in very bad condition. Other than that the stuff and the surrounding area are great.
- 4/5
Room smells,& shower tub dirty
- 4/5
It was fine.
- 5/5
The service was amazing
- 2/5
Old hotel in desperate need of remodel. Carpet in common areas gross. Room was not clean, hair in shower.
- 2/5
The staff is attentive and nice, and the location is very convenient for the convention center. But the hotel is quite old and poorly maintained. The carpeting is stained, the bathrooms are moldy and the rooms are drab.
