Place was dirty trash all over the parking lot stains on the sheets in the room stains on the wall one of the beds sink down on the side cuz it was broke water took almost 30 minutes to get warm pull was freezing cold hot tub didn't work The water was also cold would not recommend staying here I want to refund my money

The bed was great. The sink was plugged, shears were ripped, the room was somewhat clean. It sits next to the freeway, so pretty noisy.

We Had Our Puppy Girl's With Us! Soooo Pet Friendly, the Pet Park was nice under some pine trees! Big room two king beds water pressure was okay. indoor pool and jacuzzi! Nice area right next to shopping and restaurants! The Staff was very Sweet! And the place was very Quiet! Overall Good Stay!!!

Amazingly kind and helpful staff, efficient and communicative. Great room, clean and super comfortable. I will say that loud voices carry in the hallway, but that was definitely a factor of the other guests and not the hotel! (Except maybe thin walls? But I won’t nitpick.) Fantastic for the price, 10/10 would stay again.

My room had TWO sinks, separate from bathroom. Fridge and microwave. Tons of pillows. Bedding and towels were old, but fine. The not so good: Personal coffee machine looked old and dirty. Didn't touch the in-room coffee packs provided, just got coffee from the lobby (available 24/7). No soap provided. Maybe that needed to be requested from the desk. There was shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. I felt my house slippers (brought my own) sticking on a corner of the bed late at night, and not from anything that I had spilled. Curtains didn't close all the way. Good thing I brought safety pins to keep the curtains shut. Low water pressure when flushing toilet -- hold and wait until EVERYTHING goes down. Skipped my morning shower due to low water pressure, lack of amenities, unsightly looking hard water stains on the showerhead and bathroom stall corners, and desire to get back on the road ASAP. It was fine as the lowest priced place that had what I needed, just know what you're getting yourself into.

The maintenance of the facility is not good. The room we stayed in had in the past needed a repair to the drywall on the ceiling, that repair was done very poorly. And the ceiling was still bubbled down. Either the patch was made to an area far too small or a larger portion of the ceiling is now failing. There was drywall mud stuck in the carpet over by the sink as well. There were several locations where the ceiling tiles were off in the hallways and what looked like leaks. Lots of little this like card readers coming off of doors and such. But a major thing was that there was a "repair" made to the hand rail at the pool with DUCT TAPE! I work at a facility with a pool, that is a huge safety violation. It also looks as the carpets have not been extracted in years.

Super courteous staff! They were very kind and helpful with our two miniature schnauzers staying. Best priced pet friendly hotel in town, and they genuinely seemed to enjoy us having our pets with us. We appreciated their kindness and even during Christmas they smiled and greeted us kindly and took care of our needs our entire stay.

You’d go to the front desk to get ice and they’d fill the bucket up barely half way because that’s all they had. They had a small personal size machine for staff, anymore and they’d go buy bags. Pool was closed, no mention of that on the website. The breakfast.. there’s no breakfast. Only had a grab and go. If I could have cancelled, I would have. It was the only place that could handle our needs at the time.

We had to switch rooms because the door wouldn't open, as did the customer who checked in just ahead of us. The exercise room was okay, but it would be better if there were cloths to clean the equipment off with.

Sheets were not changed on the beds. We found a dirty sock and a pacifier in the beds. Reported to desk with no result. That’s really awful to sleep in somebody else’s bed when the sheets have been already slept in.

The pool was down which was not said in the advertising also they didn't even have it blocked off so anyone could have fallen and they had duck tap on the safety rails to get in and out. The pool was right next to the hot tub which was not even hot. They also didn't have our safety screen in our window it was behind the couch so my child could get out the window and climb down the pine tree next to our window .

My main filter was for a pool and hot tub... neither was available for 3 out of 4 days. When the hot tub was available (last day) the jets were horrible. The room was dirty. The sink had scum all the way around it. A kitchen was in the room however no silverware or items to use it. I'm so very disappointed.

Had to get moved from one of the rooms we booked because the tub wouldn’t drain. The pool was out of order and so was the hot tub which is why we even booked this place. The noise when someone would shower or bathe was horrible and the tub in one of our rooms did not drain so we had to change rooms. The pool and hot tub were out of order.

It was right off the freeway and close to many stores. The sheets and pillow cases were dirty. The hot tin smelled like moldy slimy vegetables and made you smell like moldy slimy vegetables. It was horrible!

Linda at the front desk was amazing! very kind, thoughtful, friendly, accommodating and fast! Shilo Inn is out new spot to stay. Also, the location is great for food and shopping. All within walking distance. Oh! and I can't forget the bed and pillows were AMAZING. Best sleep I've had in awhile.

The evening front desk staff Laura was very nice The rooms were dirty, hair on the sheets, sinks, tub, dirty toilet, microwave and floors even after they moved us rooms. Both rooms were so dirty. The heater didn't work The morning front desk was not friendly at all, did not ask how our stay was

We did not even stay the night. Room was very poor and we had to go get towels and soap from the front desk. They said that someone did not order soap.

Made this reservation thinking that the pool they stated would be up and running. Went to check in that day and come to find out the pool was down and wouldn’t be up for more than a couple of days. The whole reason we even rented out the hotel was for the pool, so I went to cancel which was a big go around. The site gave me back my money but shilo still hasn’t returned my deposit. Will never book here again.

I didn't have breakfast at Shilo Inn during my stay there. Not the Inn's fault but those staying in the room above mine , were pretty noisy on Saturday nite.

They did accommodate it by giving a room that was ok, the place is kind of dated, the shower needed to be replaced the water couldn’t come on without some elbow grease (haha) there was trash left behind from the last renter underneath the kitchenette that stunk!!! Otherwise it was fine and it appreciated for the managers upgrade and accommodation request. Btw we went through the invading of the locusts, I thought it was cool but not so much for my little sisters (hahaha)!!!

Young man that checked us in was nice but kinda clueless. Comfy bed. Clean room. Very tired and dated property. Had to ask front desk for ice. The pool was empty. Furniture was very dated but functional. Could tell it was a smoking room in the past. Horrible WiFi. TV worked but blurry picture.

Before we even stayed our first night, front desk had told us that the pool was safe to swim in, good thing I did not have my wife & son swim that night because a different front desk person had told us that in fact that pool was very harmful to humans so it's out of order. That was our first & last time staying at this place. would not recommend. Would have rather paid another $100 to stay in a much nicer environment.

Friends stayed down the hall, they said their door looked like it had been kicked in before. Close to shopping and food. Good food spot near by but I forgot the name. Nice stores near by as well

The pool had a greenish hue. Room 115 queen bed closest to the door, mattress was worn out and slumped greatly that whomever slept on that side felt like they were sliding off.

Just needed a cheap/clean place to crash on a road trip. I had low expectations...I thought this place was going to be run down, but it was a pleasant surprise. Clean, safe and convenient to grab some food and gas for our road trip.

The pool and hot tub have been out of service now for over a year. I had to borrow a screwdriver from the front desk to fix my shower control knob. Bathroom floor and floor between the beds was just nasty. No breakfast opportunity beyond a gas station. No longer clean and convenient for when I am home visiting family. I'll stay in another hotel from now on.

The check-in went well, however the room didn’t have a refrigerator but had a spot for it (it was empty), there was no shampoo, conditioner or tissue (tissue box was empty). Its a nonsmoking room but smelled like smoke. The coffee area sink didn’t work. I called the front desk several times, but they did not answer. Disappointing for their price’s. I mentioned it to the gal when I checked out but didn’t seem promising they’ll fix anything.

For a sold out night, the check in was a breeze. Got into our room when we arrived at 1:00. I really enjoyed that we could get in. Very friendly staff.

Every staff member was VERY kind and accommodating. We were only there for a day, but they treated us like family. It isn't a fancy place, but it was a good bed for the night with a convenient mini kitchen which was perfect for our needs.

Working to improve the property shouldn't be the standard response to comments....this hotel reflects what happens when you don't hire a maintenance man. The carpets are clean but desperately need repair. Many small repairs are required in the room; window drapes need to work, bathroom requires caulk in several places, toilet runs, etc. Spa was broken, business center doesn't work, no coffee in room, several lights outside the hotel had broken glass or simple didn't work. Room card worked the first day and not the second, there seems to be a group of strange folks that are staying there full time in the southwest corner of the hotel. Fresh paint and carpet would do wonders...room wasn't cleaned after our first night and discussed this with the front desk and they stated that I needed to let them know the night before that cleaning was required. Decided to stay at the Townplace by Marriott for the rest of the week, for $40 more per night, breakfast was included, and their room was new and everything worked, also in the same general area of Elko so it's worth every dollar. It's not all bad, room is quiet and located in a shopping complex so that's convenient. Microwave and refrigerator were handy, however the mattresses need to be replaced as both had deep impressions from others sleeping in them..not a deal breaker but never experienced that in a hotel before.

Room was wonderful, had everything we would need if we were staying more than one night! Only issue was there were a couple of hairs still in the shower that didn’t belong to us. Otherwise, nice, big, comfortable and convenient.

Clerk at front desk was very nice and helpful. Room was fairly clean. Beds were cleanand comfortable. However faucet in bathroom only went to hot plus it was backwards(hot was to the right) Only had one bath towel. Think rooms should be thoroughly checked before use.

Judge this hotel by its interior, not by its outside. We were very happy with our one night stay at the Shilo Inn. We didn't want a 'breakfast included' place, just needed to sleep-and-go near the highway so Shilo Inn was perfect. Reception was professional and pleasant. Our 2-bed room was much larger than we expected. The beds were so comfortable, the mattress was cozy soft with underlying firmness. The sheets were creamy soft and light enough for summertime. The pillows felt premium. There were many updated furnishings. It's right near the highway, but the windows kept the sound to a minimum. A/C unit worked well. Great water pressure in the shower. Most importantly for most travelers, the Shilo Inn grounds, reception, hallways and our room were all spotlessly clean -- every corner, every surface, everywhere we looked was gleaming clean. Most important for a scent-sensitive person like me, the sheets, the room and all areas of the Inn were free of heavy chemical/perfumey smells, so I could breathe easy. Highly recommended!

The roof over the pool leaked while it was raining. There was more water coming from the ceiling than there was in the hot tub. The pool, sauna and hot tub were out of commission for our entire stay. The knob on the air conditioner in the room was broken off. The lock on the door was also broken and missing. All that aside the staff was very courteous and friendly and did their jobs as best as the awful conditions allowed. Pay the extra to stay somewhere else.

Liked real, actual hot water. Didn’t like the non-working tv. They told me that someone would be coming from Carson City to fix it-on foot apparently.

Friendly and efficient desk clerk. He gave concise directions to the room and offered information about the stairs and vending machines.

My college age son (20 yo) stayed here and they were very nice in answering my questions. He really appreciated having a safe, clean place to stay :)

They don’t provide any type of breakfast so the manager buys some donuts or muffins for the guests (very nice) but that is so unsanitary. Claims to be remodeled but only the room floors have been changed from carpet to wood, mice but they to do so much more to call it “remodeled “.

The hotel is convenient next to the highway and a shopping center where we ate. A bit dated but clean. The man at the front desk was helpful when we needed to change rooms due to a toilet issue. A/C worked and room didnt smell of smoke. Would stay again
