Check-in woman was extremely helpful with a booking problem of my making. I really appreciated her willingness to assist and make our stay comfortable. Nice rooms, well equipped. Dark curtains provided a fullnight’s sleep.

The room we were in was very small. The shower leaked into the bedroom section and got our bags wet. Definitely do not recommend this place.

In elko where we needed to stop, otherwise not good Dirty everywhere even up doors and walls, cigarette smell everywhere, drunks everywhere and even fighting in parking lot, completely tossed together where doors and floors are unfinished or don’t fit and much more

When we brought it up for the first time to the front desk staff they said the maintenance team was aware and working on it. Nothing was fixed and we had to prop the front door open to try and cool the room down. When we checked out I brought the issue up again and then desk girl said they knew about it, and it was a known issue for most of the first floor but they don’t know why. Why put people in the rooms you know are going to heat up like that? I wa offered nothing to fix the issue or to change rooms and we had to sweat it out before we left. Definitely choosing a different hotel when we return to Elko.

Location was good, we booked a jacuzzi suite and the room was extremely spacious. We booked a jacuzzi suite, although the tub was great, it took about 2.5 hours to fill as the water came out of the faucet at a very very low pressure. We had pressure issues in the shower as well, the shower heads desperately needed replaced.

Our room was 80 degrees all night. We tried everything. The hotel said when we were checking out the heat was on and so we should have turned the system off. That would have been helpful to know at check in. The pool was clean, but the rest wasn’t good at all!

I love the stockman! Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is bomb. Pool was closed but on the bright side it was calmer since it was being repainted.

The staff was great, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The thermostat was NOT adjustable! It was extremely hot in the room. I was told that if it's cold out, it automatically blows heat. It was 82 degrees at night and 77 during the day.

This hotel was awesome. Elko is cowboy country and stockman reflected that. While some of it was outdated the rooms were very nice! Very clean, comfortable bed awesome water pressure in the shower. The toiletries smelt great. Nice to be able to come downstairs to the beautiful restaurant or bar for drinks instead of heading out. I wish the pool would have been up and running the courtyard over looking it was beautiful. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I payed a more than fair price for my 2 nights and I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Elko

First floor room - lots of noise from suitcases rolling across the cobblestones and early in the morning from workers outside

The hotel is an older hotel with very comfortable accommodations. A pay guest laundry room was available. During our stay the swimming pool was under repair and not available. The only negative aspect of our stay was that the hotel open spaces as well as the casino, restaurant and bar allowed smoking - the room was a smoke free room.

As always, our room was very clean, comfy bed and pillows and well stocked with towels, washcloths and toiletries. The complimentary breakfast was very good and you have a variety to choose from. We stay there every time we stop for the night in Elko.

Hotel is old and run down. Our room had run down furniture, and there is a door leading to the room next door that seemed a little sketchy.

Did not get breakfast voucher as it was a too go sandwich since it was Mother's Day. Ask for a room on the back as the noise and lights from tour buses and early risers can be disruptive.

The room was dirty, stool that went with the easy chair was disgusting. There was hair on the soap bottles in the shower, when we returned from dinner, we discovered the door that went out to the balcony had been left unlocked - not by us - which could have allowed anyone to walk in while we were out, because the discovered baloney area has access to every room. When we 1st got off the elevator and encountered the outside of the ice machine I was ready to turn around and leave except it was non-refundable, while the evening front desk individual was okay the morning person, fairly young male, was completely and totally uninterested about anything we were trying to say and didn't listening to anything we had to say. We will never return and will pass along this information. He 'couldn't ' give us a receipt because we booked through Expedia another mistake. Our room (325), was 87 degrees when we walked in. The luggage cart fell apart while using it, causing everything to fall off onto the filthy carpeted hallway. Ramada has been our go to hotel. We may never go to another one. Shame on you Wyndham and Expedia. The casino was a joke. The casino's at the Love truck stops were better. The 'rain' shower had was another but that. $127.00 was ridiculous for this room.

We checked in around 7:30 pm, dropped off our bags, turned on the a/c and went to get dinner. When we got back, room was hot, a/c wasn’t working. When we told the front desk staff, we were told they don’t have maintenance on staff til Monday but we could pack everything up and move rooms at 11 at night. Needless to say it was a very hot night, had to open windows in the room and listen to all of the bar commotion outside half the night.

Hotel staff is very accommodating and helpful! Handicapped accessible rooms are definitely far above average! Made traveling with my Autistic Son and disabled Mom so easy! Hotel is very clean! Amenities are great! My only complaint is the Brand Room restaurant! They used to serve breakfast all day and they used to have a full menu with amazing dinners! They now only serve the bare minimum. While the food is still just as good, we have found a different restaurant to go to due to the restaurant no longer having full menu with dinners! Overall I would give this hotel a five out of five stars! Very clean, comfortable, accommodating, friendly and helpful staff, a lot of close by amenities,

we travel a bit and are spoiled with updated places. I know my review is going to come across negative. all in all it is an ok place to stay a night. however everything smells smoky due to the casino. nothing has been updated. however it is clean. our room was the old smoke smell. The restaurant was the brightest spot! great menu, full bar and Elizabeth,our wonderful server. smiling, darling, cheerful, helpful!!!!! Pool had a tarp over it, but I'm sure is seasonal. bed was comfy and it was clean. juat needs updating. wonderful surprise ( out of management's hands) was the fire alarm going off at 230 am!!!! we were driving a moving truck and worried abtbreak in,but there were 2 security guards checking on the grounds see above

It’s an older hotel. It had its quirks as expected with older places. Like the shower whistles when the water gets hot, which is kind of annoying when you’re trying to take a relaxing shower, besides that it was a decent stay.

Had a King bed. The fitted sheet was a queen size so it didn't go all the way to the side of the bed. Front desk gave us a new proper sized sheet

Convenient location in downtown Elko Lack of attention from the front desk staff. Only interested in basic service. Not one ever rose from their seat or extended a friendly greeting. Tried to get heat in the room but they said that was another department’s responsibility.

Next time I will do my best... Let me tell there again that mattress don't really great likes look very old from use other many customers from many years what I did try to sleep on mattress - not enough normal flat likes hilly what my feeling hard times.. temperature really very good control keep warm and shower - need to fix it normal very well.. That's hotel had restaurant was good and other casino allow smoking what I don't like smoking..

It had a restaurant down stairs The casino was small, the cleaning ladies tried to come into our room at 6 am, thank god I had the door jam locked, the room wasn’t very clean and the tv didn’t work, the ac sucked, and our room smelt like an ashtray which I got a smoking room but it shouldn’t have smelt that bad, our bathroom shampoo and conditioner and body wash didn’t work and I’m pretty sure was empty our bathroom towels smelt like an ashtray as well

The fact the cleaning lady’s opened our door at 8 o’clock in the morning when it’s not even check out time, the facility just was not keep up very well especially by the pool area

In downtown Elko and within walking distance of of most eateries , shops and things to see. Their breakfast are by voucher, so you can have 3 restaurant options, one of which are real eggs cooked the way you like them, bacon, sausage & either pancake or toast. Staff are very nice and hotel is clean. It’s an old property and even with some renovations it’s still pretty dated .

The room was very clean and I loved that they provided ear plus for the stay. The restaurant was delicious and have enjoyed it each time we've stayed there! The gift shop gift was also really cool. I got a rabbits foot. There was nothing that I didn't like. The bar is under construction but we were able to still get drinks.

I have stayed at this establishment several times. From the location, to the casino, to the restaurant, to the staff, the place is always great. My most recent stay motivated me to write this review. I checked in for the night and as usual, the front desk staff was top notch. I received my keys and went to my room. It was a non-smoking room that the previous guest had hot boxed or something because the room reeked of marijuana. I went back to the front desk and asked if it was possible to get a different room. Wendy, the front desk clerk at the time, helped me with no questions asked. She got me into a new room that not only didn't smell but was much nicer. If you chose to stay here you will be in good hands. You can't help what the guest before you has done or what current guests are doing. That's the case everywhere. Can't hold it against the establishment.

Property was in THE BEST LOCATION and was a GREAT VALUE! STAFF WAS EXCEPTIONAL AND I felt VERY SAFE AS I am an elderly woman and was traveling alone. Will definitely stay here again!! Kinda of wish there was a chair and or table to sit at in the room.

The rooms were cozy The staff was not very welcoming at all. My family and I got stared by hotel kitchen staff. Staff stared and failed to help except for a lady with ginger hair. We were talked to as if we were stupid when asking about the ingredients in the food they served. The staff was also rude to other customers. The staff told a man to follow him, with her fingers no greeting, the man has been standing for about 10 minutes. Then when the man sat, she look astonished, mean mug, and rudeness.

Breakfast was great. Quiet room. Met our needs. The heater needs some work. Room was way too hot, and couldn't regulate the temperature.

At one point on my first night stay my heater stopped working they sent maintenance over immediately. The gentleman looked at my heater and when he couldn’t get it working he went and got me a new room. It took me less then half an hour to get into a new room and the maintenance guy went into the new room and made sure the heater was working properly before he helped me bring my stuff into the new room

The room was clean, staff was friendly, food at the restaurant was amazing. However, the mini fridge in the room barely got cold, the coffee pot didn't work too well. Our stay was lovely, I just wish the room we rented didn't have such cheap appliances considering we paid a lot for the room

We always stay at this hotel each year on an annual motorcycle ride. It's close to the Star restaurant and the rooms and service are commendable.

Great breakfast - one of the best I've had! The room was clean. Had a problem with the remote for the tv, but was able to finally figure it out. I was told that the maintenance guy had left already, so I was on my own to figure it out. But other than that, a nice place. Front desk staff and restaurant staff were wonderful. The 1st room we were put in was absolutely disgusting. The smell was unbelievable, the bed frame was broken, food wrappers, crumbs, glasses, sock and press on finger nail under the bed found when I tried to fix the bed frame. It looked like there had been no attempt to clean this room in a long time. We were approached by someone claiming to be a maintenance worker and he said he couldn’t believe they put us in that part of the hotel because of the lack of upkeep in that section over the years. Another miss by housekeeping. There is no AC in the part of the hotel we stayed in. The heater is either on or off in all rooms in the part of the hotel we stayed in also. If you have the heat on, it blows 24/7 regardless of what the temp is set at so you have to turn the system on and off every few hours and open doors and windows to control the climate. Not very convenient when the room hits 90 degrees at night. The icing on this stay was that we booked through Expedia and prepaid for 3 nights ($454.53) before our stay. I was charged an additional $257.58 for my 1st which I’m still trying to get off my card. Restaurant-Yes / Hotel-No!!!

Front desk staff and restaurant staff were wonderful. The 1st room we were put in was absolutely disgusting. The smell was unbelievable, the bed frame was broken, food wrappers, crumbs, glasses, sock and press on finger nail under the bed found when I tried to fix the bed frame. It looked like there had been no attempt to clean this room in a long time. We were approached by someone claiming to be a maintenance worker and he said he couldn’t believe they put us in that part of the hotel because of the lack of upkeep in that section over the years. I did not like the lights shining through my window all night long and no light switches to shut it off

The pool was empty and thus unusable. The rooms were clean and well appointed but the mattress was very soft. The “ free” breakfast was very basic ( a choice of either 2 eggs with 1 sausage and no potatoes, or 2 pancakes or cold cereal) so if you wanted something more substantial you could order from the menu and get a $2 discount.

I booked a king suite and upon arrival I was given a room with only one queen bed for myself, husband and two kids. I had to go back down to the lobby to tell them of the mistake to be told they over booked the rooms and we could have a room with two queens or two separate rooms.

The ada roll in shower was great! Thank you. But the room itself was difficult to get a mobility scooter in & out of.

Firstly, they did not mention that the pool will be closed. Secondly, they also did not give us rooms close to each other, even though we booked the rooms together. Thirdly, they refused to accommodate for that. Fourthly, the heater was NOT working! I called maintenance and he claimed that there is only cold water running through and that there will be no heater available (they did not write that in the description). They bought me another blanket, but I was still very cold. I cannot believe that a Ramada would not have a heater! However, the good thing is the breakfast, there are only 3 options but the restaurant accommodates.

We have stayed her for years. We like the location.

The room looked NOTHING like the ad whatsoever. The beds were horrible and caved in. Staff was unhelpful and I would NOT recommend this property. The pics / ad on Expedia are EXTREMELY misleading. carpet was old / room was dilapidated. Very upset.

The room was over $200. The "ramp" for wheelchair access was extremely dangerous and poorly contracted. The bathroom in the casino/restaurant area is not easily wheelchair access!! Without assistance we would not have been able to get him around the place! Room was dirty. We won't be back.

Worst beds ever, vey cheap and flimsy plus place looks and feels like a motel. It's cheap price and attracts some ghetto people. Plus there are hookers walking around offering there services.

For being an older casino and hotel it was pretty nice. The food was good and the gambling also.

Great friendly staff

The lady at the front desk was very nice. However, we got to our room and the toilet was clogged when we got there and already had a plunger in there. We figured whatever, we’ll just use the bathroom at our event. We get back from the event and the TV doesn’t work. Tried calling down to the front desk and the phone won’t connect. I called on my cell phone and the guy switched us rooms. Everything worked in the new room but there was major white stains on the carpet and burn marks all over the bathtub and toilet lid. Breakfast was very limited but decent. Definitely not a good part of town. And outside the side door smells like urine. I paid in advance and still had to put down a $150 deposit for incidentals which seemed excessive for the condition everything was already in. We will not stay here again unfortunately because it’s very close to two of the venues we use.

Good food but overpriced, make friends with the staff

I'm kind of in shock I've been asked to review my experience with this hotel. I had a confirmed reservation from both Expedia and the Ramada, showed up for it just before midnight and was simply told there were no more rooms and was turned away and told this happens with their systems sometimes. Avoid like the hot garbage.

The breakfast is right off their menu and consists of two more popular items, eggs or pancakes. Or you could get a discount on other menu items. We chose to walk around the hotel area and had a wonderful evening meal within walking distance of the hotel. We enjoyed this stay.

We decided to shake it off and enjoy celebrating our friend’s anniversary and birthday without checking the room first—big mistake. When we finally got to the room later that night, we discovered the air conditioning unit was completely broken—no airflow at all. The pillows were lumpy, the mattress had a deep indentation. To top it off, housekeeping started knocking on doors at 7 AM—on a weekend—despite check-out not being until 11. As a local, I’ve stayed here a few times when friends and family come to town, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. I tried to share my concerns with staff, but no one seemed to care. Very disappointing overall. Hopefully this was just a fluke and not the new standard, because I’ve had better experiences here

Easy parking, nice staff, but lobby is next to casino, so you have to walk by the smoky entrance of the casino. Our room was 115 ( stay away) and is at the end near stairs, so can be loud and is in courtyard by the pool which the area needs updating and had the same garbage on ground both days even though we saw countless employees pass by the garbage. Went to see the fitness center and the second and third floors were so much nicer than courtyard room experience!

Room was good to sleep in. Bed is old needs to be replaced. Shower was not very hot.

Pool was great. Staff friendly. Great breakfast. Large room but it was filthy with cigarette butts in pull out couch, no sheets on stained pull out mattress & bed bugs in the king bed. Bathroom toilet had been used & not flushed.

When we checked in we were told there was no running water, not to use the toilet or shower. I asked about a discount and was told I would have to call someone the next day. I was charged full amount and knew if I cancelled I would be charged, which is why we decided to just stay even without water.

We upgraded to a family suite. 2 garbage cans, 1 dresser, no closet. The phone in the room did not work. Drawers on the desk were installed upside down. 2 queen and 1 king bed. Pillows lumpy. Shower head very loose and awkward. When showering the water spread from the shower out of the room towards the sink. Toilet paper on the roll had some type of stain through many layers. Night 1 ac in room with queen beds kept turning off and somehow there was a child lock on the tv we could not unlock. We were told maintenance would come in am, but they didn’t as there was some sort of leak at the hotel. Ice machine down stairs had no ice the whole trip. Night 2 ac in queen room was fine but in room with king bed was out completely. They offered to move us but nothing available like we had and was on 3rd floor which wasn’t feasible to move for 1 night. Overall appearance is like it’s not being kept up. It looked run down and if buildings could look tired, this one is it. It has great potential. Breakfast was delicious and prompt, but overall for a Ramada I expected more. This is my second stay. The first wasn’t much better, but I wanted to give them a second try.

This property is just ok. It is very tired and needs some upgrades. Air conditioning in our room did not work & we were put in a dark room. I will not rerun to this particular hotel.

The property is going downhill. Rooms are run down and dirty in the corners and there was a bug that looked like a cockroach in our room. Luckily my wife didn't stay there.

Bad part of town

Restaurant staff are awesome as they serve complimentary breakfast. I love playing at the casino. The beds were comfortable but the room was small for 5 people. We had to get roll away. That we had move one of the beds so we can fit it between the full size beds a bit crapped. There was no bar to help me get into shower which is a must since I had problems getting into and out of tubs. The grandkids love the pool.

This is our go to hotel every time we are in the area. The rooms are so nice, there is a restaurant in house and options for breakfast are included in your room reservation. Great food and plentiful. A small casino is also in house so sometimes we never leave the hotel from check in to check out.

Clean and safe

My wife checked in and went to her room. It was not a "smoking" room that we had reserved. My wife asked about that at the check in desk and they seemed annoyed with her, but she was able to get the room changed. Her first perceptions about surrounding area of the hotel were that it was not in a safe area. She did have dinner at the hotel and enjoyed it very much.

The property location is great and the staff was super friendly. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and overall the property and casino were great.

I usually stay here when I'm in Elko. Rooms are nice and clean. AC is pretty good. The casino's cafe is close by. Parking is easy and close. Been using this place for years and have no complaints.

Bed comfortable. ADA room nice, but could have used a soap dish/shelf in the shower and a nearby towel rod or hook. Some trash around the pool area. Restaurant staff very helpful and pleasant.

Older be very comfortable

Someone trigered the fire alarm in the whole facility at 3 am. Night shift staff confirmed it was safe to go back to our own room right away but the loud alarm and irritating flash light continued until 5:30 am. Some guests stayed in their cars, some stayed outside and some left the hotel.

The fire alarm went off at 3 am, it sounded like a giant train horn echoing through the complex. This hellish abuse continued for 2 hours before I gathered my belongings, checked out, and dipped out. I don’t know when they finally turned it off but everything left. The place is pretty nice, just old. Don’t get me wrong staff were awesome!! But that fire alarm from hell ruined it.

The AC in our room isnt working. They sent someone to come look at it and they changed an extremely dirty filter. The changing of the filter did not work. Its 77° in our room and all they could do was bring us a box fan. They said they cant fix it until tomorrow, and we check out tomorrow. I have my wife, our 5 year old, 2 year old, and 4 month old trying to sleep in an uncomfortably hot room. Wont be staying here again.

Friendly staffs and clean hotel

My husband and I just wanted a quick getaway. The food was not good. The gambling was very bad. We spent $600 in less than 2 hours. The casino is very small. We had someone knocking on our door at 8:00 in the morning. The restaurant was not good.

Also, the parking was a little tight given it's shared with the hotel and the restaurant.

I have been staying at this hotel 4 different times over the last 5 years. Every year someone in our group gets a heating or cooling maintenance issue. I have had it happen twice to me. This time my room was 87 degrees. A maintenance ticket was put in and nothing changed. I was given another room and it was 85 degrees. This is the last time my group will be staying there.

Very impressed the breakfast was a sit down meal and not a buffet. The food was good and the staff was excellent.
