The room was really dirty, dead bugs in the room, pool was out of service, and the water in the restaurant at the gold country tasted like hose water. The rooms have popcorn ceilings that are super dirty and cracking. People were very kind, but rooms are dirty, parking lot is not maintained so theres pot holes everywhere.

Clean room, very comfortable bed. Quite area , we arrived early and they were very accommodating.

I have used expedia numerous places, never was treated the way we were at Maverick in Elko Nevada.

I don't have the gambling bug, so I don't use their casino. I stay there because: 1) it's a nice place 2) the food in the restaurant is very consistent and very good 3) staff is always friendly and helpful

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. My friend couldn't figure out the coffee pot and maintenance came and was very kind to her (it was operator error) and that was appreciated. We ate at the Aspen Steak House. The food was good. My friend left their debit card there and the server knew we stayed there but didn't reach out. WE didn't discover it was missing until we were almost home. She called the hotel and spoke worth security who had the card and they'll mail it her, so all is well. Just wish it had been returned that night. The event we went to was amazing, well worth the 5-hour drive. Honestly, no complaints.

Rooms were large with fridge and microwave. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. It’s an older hotel with some lingering smoke smell in the hallways. Casino and restaurant were nice - just dated. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a true 3.5 hotel. It's older, but kept pretty clean and the front desk was very friendly. This was a stop in a long trip to Arizona. I would stay here again.

Our room was really far away from the hotel, we were closer to the local mcdonalds than the hotel restaurant. The hotel restaurant, Aspens was not the best either.

1) Needs new toilet seats. 2) The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work. On the other hand: 1) The casino noise is well-separated from the rooms; a very nice layout. 2) GREAT food; as always !My New York steak was very tender, juicy, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. My wife's pan-seared salmon was perfectly seared on the outside and very tender and tasty on the inside. 3) Very friendly and helpful staff

The hotel was a great place to stay. Casino was nice (no smoke that we noticed), rooms were clean (although the hotel was set up so that if you're in the far complex, its a long walk to the casino). Parking is easy. Although we did have to initially change rooms due to a couple of maintenance issues, the staff was very responsive and got us situated in another room very quickly. We did find out that the hotel and casino are changing ownership, so our hope is that the new owners take as good care of the place and staff as the current owners. Thank you for a good night at Maverick Hotel/Casino.

Location was ok. The room wasnt bad. The casino is the very worst. Dirty, dated, and not at all a casino to keep anyone there. Nobody winning, gets very boring. The restaurant had horrible service and Every time I ate there the server was very slow, didn't check on you and didn't care. None of the vending machines worked and for some dumb reason, they put us in furthest building away from casino. I WINT STAY THERE OR RECOMMEND anyone stay there.

Everyone was absolutely amazing and accommodating, very helpful. Very informative were able to answer every question in need that we had. We are a trucking company so we’re on the road a lot and Maverick was recommended by a fellow driver because the parking is exceptional when it comes to having a truck and trailer over 40 feet. We also needed to extend our stay due to a mechanical issue and Nicole, who answered my phone call at the front desk was super accommodating, friendly and kind. We will absolutely be staying here again if we need to thank you Maverick and team. We appreciate you.

Nothing. When you walked in to register it smelled like old cigarettes. The outside back doors didn’t even have a way to stay closed, or a lock to keep people from off the street from just walking in. The first floor had a vacant room with the window open so anyone could climb in.

I got Checked into the room, and the temperature in the room was 75 degrees with theat blazing. I switched it to cool, but the AC never came on. I called the front desk on my cell phone because the phone in the room did not work. They said they would send a service tech to look at it. 30 minutes went by and no service tech, so I called the front desk again, and they said oh sorry we called the service group but no one answered. They said we can move you if you would like, so I packed up and moved rooms. When I got to the next room the same situation was present. 75 degrees in the room with no working AC. Luckily this room was on the second floor and had a slider so I could open the door and get some cool air in. At this point it was after midnight and I had to be at the jobsite for work at 6 am so I did not bother with calling the front desk again. This hotel is poorly maintained and very understaffed. Paid over $140 a night which seems like highway robbery for what condition the rooms were in.

Stayed two nights and after the first night, my key didn’t work. Staff was not helpful and I felt like it was an inconvenience for them to help it anyway the only person that was actually nice was our server in the dining room area.

The staff was very friendly and parking convenient however the room was infested with bed bugs which cause a severe delayed reaction in me lasting up to two weeks. They did refund our stay and promised to block off the room until an exterminator could treat the area. It is my main concern that anyone who is very sensitive like me be aware of the issue. Room 123.

The room was very outdated. Carpet was filthy. Holes in the ceiling. Pool was freezing! Couldn't even swim. All the games at the arcade were either broken or the claws in the machines were so loose it wouldn't hold onto anything. The bed was clean and comfortable.

Staff at front desk was very accommodating for a disabled individual. We had a pet room but the toilet was way too low for disabled. Frank was very thoughtful and understanding, and changed our room to an ADA room. Will stay again. Everyone was very kind!

This property was filthy. Our room wasn’t very clean; no soap in bathroom, shower curtain all torn up, and the television didn’t work. The staff was the worst! We had a clogged sink and took two days to get it looked at. They came on the second day after three calls to the service desk. The maintanance guy plunged it but it did not fix it very well at all. The cleaning crew never came and cleaned the room.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It’s well situated for traveling. It has always been very clean when I have been there. I have a tendency to stay in higher end hotels and taste is a very personal thing but I just love this place and I always try to include it in my itinerary.

This place was very clean, staff very nice and helpful. The internet was down when arrived and stayed down for hours. The food in restaurant was good. The television stations need improvement. Not very many channels to select from. Other than that had a great time. Will return.

Made reservations for 2 and there was only a single set of towels in the room. Didn’t realize until person 2 getting out of the shower. Pillows were low quality and so thick I now have a kink in my neck. Thermostat would not go below 68 overnight. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Casino is nice enough but the hotel is run down, pool is closed indefinitely for maintenance, and the room was so far from the Casino we choose to drive down rather than walk what felt like a mile. Lots of areas were also under construction.

I usually stay at Stockmans. Rooms at Maverick are far bigger, bigger beds, bigger tv. Overall just nicer. My two complaints - the AC was terrible! Couldn't get the temperature under 76 degrees the whole time. And I hate the heat! It was hot and miserable which means sleep was a nightmare. Second complaint is the hotel is big. Farthest room away from the casino so it was a journey walking back and forth. Almost easier just to drive. All staff was awesome other than that

Great Stay. Mini patio. Got a room on the back which was awesome, pretty much a housing neigborhood behind the place. Good Coffee on site and close to a few places to eat.

Maverick Hotel continues to advertise having an outdoor pool on all websites despite it being out of operation for over a year with no immediate plans to repair (per hotel front desk). No mention of the pool being closed in any communications until check-in, at which point it is too late to find an alternative. No discount given, despite the pool being the only factor we chose Maverick over the other options. Management offered no solution or apology. Greeted with a tarp and debris immediately after getting off elevator do to extensive ceiling leak that has yet to be repaired. Checked three ice makers, none of them were operational. Was told to request ice from the bar, but there was no one manning it.

Cleanliness

Older hotel that has been renovated relatively recently but was under construction and had the pool closed. The lock on our door was broken, but repairable. Overall the hotel feels like it’s in the middle of some rebuilding and could use more time.

Comfortable and quiet. Room was clean and staff very helpful. Have stayed here twice before and will stay here again. Very satisfied.

We never even got to check in. Staff told us our room was not available. They said they were too busy the night before

Well it’s an older hotel but decent enough for most folks . The staff are very friendly and accommodating

OK hotel. Not great, but OK, especially for Elko.

The air conditioner was broken in our room and the front desk seemed overwhelmed when I chose to pay with a different credit card then was on file to hole the rooms

The room was basic but clean, but encountered a couple of terrible employees. One being the rudest I have encountered in my three years travelling the country. As he wore the shirt he claimed not to represent the company when I called him out on it. But there he stood, in a Maverick shirt. Haha.

The room was clean but dated and worn. Maintenance at the property is lacking. Conveniently located near the convention center and there are a couple restaurants on site. Fitness center is a time capsule from 1994. I’ve stayed here several times recently and think there are better options for the money, especially with $15/ night resort fee tacked on for not many amenities.

Swimming pool out of service, weather hot.

Air conditioning filter was last changed 3 years and 4 months ago. Shower didn’t drain. Fridge was loud. Place has gone way down hill since Maverick took over

There were issues with the date of the booking but they did accommodate. One of the receptionist must have been training and wasn’t happy with the trainer which was uncomfortable but otherwise a decent stay.

Maverick is next to all the food places and highway acces is super easy botb directions. Staff was pleasent and room was clean and tidy. Eveything worked just fine.

Convenient place to stay while traveling. Resort is dog friendly and has secured entrance doors for hotel guests. Includes a restaurant, bar and coffee shop on premise which is very convenient when traveling. Ice and vending machines in each wing, with adequate parking. The area/street is very busy, but they do have security that patrols, and our vehicles were safe. Will be back in the future.

Outdated. The bed was absolutely amazing though! Stayed here passing through and hands down was the comfiest bed and pillows. I stayed in my room all night. Didn’t venture to casino but that bed was definitely comfortable

Great place to stay!

This was a nice place to stay. Staff was friendly and attentive. It felt clean and only had some minor repairs that could have been done

Everything was there; Starbucks 24/7, restaurants, bar, gym, etc. Chairs and bed were very comfortable. Keurig coffee maker in the room was nice. CON: The toilet didn't flush unless we held the handle down for a very long time.

I got to Elko 5 hours prior to check in time (3pm) so I asked the young lady at the front desk how soon I could check in. I didn't think she'd let me check in at 10am, but lo and behold she checked me in. She had a "you're bothering me" look and expression, but checked me in nonetheless. I went to my room and when I opened the door I said to myself "man, it's like 80 degrees in here!" It was actually 83 on the thermostat. I tried to turn it down and nothing. I had some customers to visit, so after cranking down the AC, I came back 3 hours later and my room was still crazy hot. I went to the front desk and said "I think my AC is out" and this lady said they were working on the AC for all rooms (not the casino) and hoped to have it fixed shortly. I went into the casino and hung out for 3 hours, went back to my room and it was STILL 80 degrees. Since the sun was going down, I cracked my slider and let the cooler air in. At 7pn, I talked to another guy at the front desk and he said the AC was fixed now. I went back to my room and AGAIN, it was still blazing hot in there. I could have left the slider cracked if I wasn't on a ground floor but I was. I kept waking up to a sauna room to crack my slider for 10-15 min to allow in cool air, but that was a baaaaad experience.

It did not seem very clean. My pillow smelled of urine. The refrigerator cabinet was warm. Seems like a pretty worn out place.

We enjoyed that staff at the customer service desk. They were so friendly and helpful.

The bathroom floor was so slippery, the whole family was scared to walk in to use the toilet. I had to lay wet soaking towels on the floor so we wouldn’t slip. We were told to eat at Apen’s Steakhouse and it was so expensive. The price wouldn’t have been a factor if the food was good. On top of the bad food, the service was horrid. It took forever to get our orders in and it was pretty empty. Our food came out before the bottle of wine and beverages. No spacing in green, apps, salad or main. $300 later and we had to walk away and order more food form the adjacent cafe.

The area was very quiet and everyone was very friendly. I would recommend to anyone that is a family(including animals) to stay here and have some fun. Kids arcade was a little small but extremely nice they had something for the kids. The 2 bedroom suite with 3 beds was a huge plus for my big family, very clean and would love to stay again. Table games were great and so was the slots, the food at the cafe was amazing!
