I came across this little motel 10 yrs ago.I loved the vintage feel and the price was right.Owners were so proud of all the work they were doing.Even gave us a mini tour.We booked 2-4 times every summer. He even gave us my favorite room.We hadn’t been traveling the last few summers.I was excited to go back this week.Sadly it had been sold. The manager told us that half the rooms A/C was out.The first night we had A/C but on the way back through we did not.Slept with the windows open but traffic was loud and all night. The manager was nice enough but the pride of ownership was gone.I don’t think we’ll go back to the Holiday. 😢 Note: we got the impression that A/C repair would not be happening for awhile so check before you book.

The location is the real rub. The east end of Idaho Street seems to be a popular place for locals in obnoxiously loud diesel pickups to accelerate aggressively for no conceivable reason. This older building with its dated aluminum single pane windows offered no defense against this nonsense, and our sleep was routinely disturbed till at least midnight. I can't blame this on thr property, really, but perhaps an upgrade to the windows in the rooms near the street or sound deadening curtains are in order.

Clean and quiet room. Front desk was very helpful at checkin. Good nights sleep in comfortable bed. Bathroom was a bit dated but clean and in good repair with good hot water.

No soap in the bathroom. Room was very clean, but smelled a little bit. I opened the windows and the smell dissipated in a few minutes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved their classic neon sign - seriously!
