Two maids walked right into our room. They knocked and walked right in. Will not stay there again

Wifi was done. Table lamp was blinking. Fridge and AC buzzing.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, parking was easy, and breakfast was good. The bananas were old, we didn't try the oranges. But what we had was good.

So many things…Pool and hot tub were advertised in the listed amenities on Expedia, but at check-in we were told pool was not open. High speed WiFi was advertised, but we were never able to connect to WiFi, and the desk clerk offered no help…told us “WiFi is terrible in this whole town”. The entire property looked run down…hair dryer didn’t work, there was a large hole in the bottom sheet on the bed, weird smell in the bathroom, and there was a layer of dead bugs on the window sill. Breakfast was advertised from 6-9 AM. We went down at 8:40 to find there was no bacon/sausage, one biscuit, a few scrambled eggs left. We asked if there was more, and the attendant shrugged her shoulders and told us breakfast was “almost over”. We have stayed in many other Best Western properties, and this one was sadly lacking.

Teens has a great time in pool and I enjoyed the hot tub.

Checked the website didn’t see the pool and hot tub were closed. Pretty disappointed by that as we drove 9 hours to get there. Check in was smooth, lobby was exceptionally clean and you could see they take care of it — wish I could say the same about the rooms. The front desk woman was excellent, kind, and professional. In our room the bath tub was peeling on the bottom. There was very visible mystery grime on the hair dryer. The air unit was incredibly loud. Almost sounded like there was a rodent trying to claw its way out all night. The only thing “3 Stars” about this hotel was the front desk woman and the lobby area. I got a much cheaper, cleaner hotel from Hampton inn by Hilton. Truly disappointed in our stay in BW Elko.

Pool and spa were out of order. There was a chemical smell in the room that we were warned about but too late to do anything about it. The bathroom was full of construction dust not cleaned

We selected this location as we’d stayed here seven years ago and remembered the great pool and hot tub. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told the hot tub and pool were closed. We would not have stayed here if we knew ahead of time that these amenities weren’t accessible. I contacted Lisa Romero (property manager) afterwards and requested a refund on a percentage of our stay, and have not heard back.

Location was good. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy. Parking was good and place was clean. Beds were super hard and uncomfortable. Pillows were half size mini’s that were hard as rocks. Walls were super thin and it was surprisingly noisy in the middle of the night.

The hotel was advertised with a pool and hot tub, but it looked to have been shut down and not working for quite some time. Disappointed

I liked the location. When I arrived I was told by the front desk there was no hot water and that they would give me a full refund if I elected to book the night somewhere else. I decided to spend the night at a hotel that could offer hot water. They never awarded me the refund that they promised.

Pool is down indefinitely. Didn't have hot water shower. Breakfast ran out of waffle mix and started cleaning up early.

Only stayed one night… the room was clean and for an older hotel very well kept

It was quite a disappointment that the internet service was down. I really needed to get a few hours of work done, but I wasn’t able to. In places where I’ve encountered this before they would offer some type of credit for it not working.

The price was half of what we'd normally pay for something like this. It was a great stay.

The front desk clerk was extremely nice about changing my reservation because I had stupidly put the wrong day in. The place is clean and easy to find. It's walkable to some food and other stuff. Not in the main downtown area, but close to the highway, which was nice. Big rooms.

I called and asked if they had a hot tub. They v said yes. Well they do but the jets don’t work they were friendly and nice but it does need painting in the pool and hot tub room.

Hotel is dated for sure My biggest gripe is that i booked this hotel mainly because of the indoor pool. I indicated that i was coming with a child and then the pool was closed. I would like to have has a heads up on that and allow me to possibly make a change.

Breakfast was ready when we were. A good variety of foods to choose from. Room was big enough and clean. We were sad the pancake maker wasn't working. While the hot tub water was warm, the jets were not working.

The hotel rooms were outdated and made it feel dirty even though it was clean, especially the bathtub. The staff members were all very nice, except one of the breakfast cooks. The breakfast was not bad but expected for a hotel. The pool was out during my stay because the roof was falling apart.

Pool ceiling needs fixing / missing tiles / and some tiles had big stains / couldn’t tell if it was mold / even tho says pet friendly, they aren’t pet friendly. Bathroom had mold in the shower

We really enjoyed the stay. The pool area was great for the kids. Clean and inviting. The only downside was the mattress of the couch bed was defintely needing replaced.

We've stayed here before and it has always been very enjoyable. This time our first room smelled like wet dog, only a couple jet in the hot tub worked and the lawn was so tall I had difficulty finding my dogs poop. That said the staff was more than accommodating and the breakfast never disappoints. We will stay there again. 🙂

This property needs some repairs. It's beautiful from the outside and looks really nice when you pull in. But the spa was shut down (repairs) and the pool was cold, the wifi wasn't working, and the tv in my room was broken. I also noticed the ice machine in the hallway that was out of order and I used the side exit door one morning and noticed it was not hinged correctly and broken as well. I don't think it locked either which could be a safety concern? My first room was ok, but the bed frame covering was torn up like a dog had chewed on it and the TV would black out when turned on. I did request another room, and the staff was very pleasant to talk to and gave me a new room for the remainder of my stay. I give this hotel overall a rating of 3 stars and feel it is overpriced for what it offers. Hopefully some things are repaired soon. I would like to commend the staff as they were all friendly and helpful! Thank you,

This is the VERY best hotel in Elko, and definitely worth the extra costs. I stayed at an inexpensive hotel down the street the last time and regretted it. I won't make the mistake twice, and will stay in the Best Western every time in the future.

Unfortunately the water in the swim pool was ice cold thankfully we were able to use the hot tub. Breakfast was bad but not any worse than any other continental breakfast. Real food would be appreciated. Good for one night stay to get good sleep and rest.

We would have liked to know in advance that pool & hot tub were closed for renovation. The place is okay if you need just a bed & a shower, but it needs widespread renovation and renewal. It feels old & gritty. It’s kind of like Elko itself: okay if you had to be there, but just okay.

Older hotel, unfortunately had a downstairs room the ceiling creeked, and cracked as people above moved and talked. Kept me up for about two hours. Wasn't great! Then it's a pet friendly hotel and the neighbors dog kept barking.

Very average stay. Homeless woman in lobby, 2 cops, and an anxious woman staff who checked us in didnt make the best first impression. Hot tub was down, pool was filthy and it was being filled by a garden hose but we were given the OK to swim in a pool that was half filled. Rooms are plenty big though.

The biggest problem I had with are stay was we called before hand and asked if the hot tub is working and they said yes, and when we got there, it was not working that was a big disappointment. We felt like we’ve been lied to.

I was told by the front desk that the tap water was not drinkable, but no bottled water was provided. And housekeeping woke me up at 8 am to clean the room!

Hot tub wasn’t working. At least two of the workout machines didn’t work. Didn’t try the other two. Also didn’t have hot water in my shower. But staff was top notch.

The hot water was not available and I was made aware of it about 8 hours before arrival. I chose to stay because I didn’t have time to find another hotel. The room I stayed in had a noisy air condition/heater unit, the TV remote didn’t work, lights in the room flickered on and off, and the toilet paper supply was low. The staff did their best to fix the TV and toilet paper issue. The remaining issues needed maintenance.

In the morning there was NO HOT WATER and they were waiting on a service tech. We decided to get the complimentary breakfast. It was ok as expected. Went back to our room to use the restroom before getting on the road again and our door was propped open, the bed torn apart and sheets and towels on the floor-geez! It was only 8 am and we hadn’t even checked out yet :(

For the most part, our stay was clean and comfortable. However, we specifically chose the hotel based on having a hot tub, since I have a bad back that is worsened from driving. The hot tub was not working, and the clerk indicated that it hasn't been working for months.

Our pull out bed sheets weren't changed, there were wrappers and a piece of gum in it. There were pieces of dog food in corners of the room, window screen was broken. Eggs in the morning are microwaved. Couldn't use the exercise equipment, couldn't figure out how to turn them on. Staff was really nice though.

We found this to be a good and reasonable hotel to stop at during our move from CA to CO. The staff was also very friendly!

This hotel was in a horrible state and way too over priced. The hot tub did not work and the pool ceiling looked like it was collapsing from water damage. The room was old to say the least and smelled musty.

Our room was clean....and that is always the most important thing. The room had a nice King Bed, but in a room this large, it would have been nice to have a small sofa or chair to relax in. Bed, Desk/with office chair but no othe place to sit.

Nice sized room and excellent dog park, pool area open but usable. Continental breakfast less than remarkable.

Pool area, needs more ventilation. So much condensation, that water was dripping form the ceiling, but it was rusty due the the tile.

Hotel was clean! Staff was nice! Breakfast was great and beds are comfy! Definitely will stay again.

We had a pet & asked for a lower floor. They gave us a 1st floor unit that was close to the entrance door. Best think I can say is we'd be glad to say here again when passing through.

We specifically booked this hotel for the hot tub and came from 7 hours away. Staff was friendly however I feel like we should have been informed that certain amenities weren’t available prior to our booking or a discount for the inconvenience

Broken hot tub. I booked this hotel because it had a hot tub. After a 12 hour drive, I was greatly looking forward to a few minutes of relaxation. Unfortunately, this hotel's hot tub was broken. There was no remediation. I spent a extra money to stay here for no reason.

Did not give five stars as lift was out of order/being renovated.

Check in was a breeze. The room I selected wasn't available due to renovations but the hotel quickly resolved the situation. My family and I appreciate that! The kids loved the pool and the lady working the fromt desk was really nice and helpful.

Our stay was amazing! The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was very gracious and helpful. Our grandchildren had the best time in their very warm swimming pool. We were sad that the spa/hot tub was not working. The hotel was very welcoming to our dog. We will be definitely staying there every time we visit Elko.!

The hot tub was closed but there was nothing posted to notify guests, there was no comforter on the bed - just a sheet and blanket - no pool towels - the bathroom was in very poor shape with a dirty floor and cracking bathtub.

It was a decent place to stay. The breakfast was great! It was decently clean for how run down the place is. They need to hire another maintenance person, or 5.

One night stay

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The complementary breakfast options were excellent and the staff were friendly.

We usually stay at Hilton hotels, but they didn't have any rooms big enough for our family of 6 this time, so we decided to go with the Best Western. We paid $200 for one room that was very dated, albeit clean enough. There was no hairdryer, the gym was out of order, the jets in the hot tub didn't work. The hotel just felt run-down and dingy. The staff was very nice. But I would never pay to stay here again.

We just stayed one night as a stopover on a long road trip. The room was clean and quiet and they had a great complimentary breakfast with lots of hot/cold food choices. We are BW rewards members and this hotel met our standards for a fine Best Western. Would Stay again.
