I booked this as a last minute overnight stay and I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly even though they were dealing with the key card machine not working due to the storms. The entire place was very clean and was above my expectations for the price.

I found the staff cold but not quite rude. The bathroom floor was filthy and the tiles were uneven and the jagged edges were painful to walk on. The surface of the tub was so slick that it presented a fall risk even with grab bars. If are allergic to eggs, I am, there were no other protein offerings and the plates were so small you could barely fit a waffle on it.

3 days later, I’m still trying to get confirmation that I cancelled the reservation at the front desk upon arrival. Even just went back and again, staff was unhelpful & unbelievably rude.

Received the wrong room type (1 bedroom x 2 rooms) instead of what I was changed for (2 bedroom). Room reeked of spices and prior food cooked there. Couch had multiple stains all over it. Room was filthy. Staff was unhelpful in resolving issues and Expedia did not follow up with any actions to correct. Avoid this place at all costs.

Well, we asked the person at the front desk about a good place for supper but she didn’t know what we meant by supper and didn’t know the area at all. However, she was friendly and nice, so it’s not her fault. They just need to pair staff that aren’t familiar with those who are.

Front desk was slow to respond, probably due to not having extra help in the evening. A couple of them didn't have a friendly, welcoming demeanor.

First I checked in & walked into my room. The tub was absolutely disgusting, along with the shower wall that was closest to the toilet. So besides hair, it looked like there was feces stains by the drain & on the one wall of the shower. Then it was advertised how “this Hotel had an arcade which set it apart from all of the others because of this” it also stated there was an indoor pool which was true, but the water was extremely cold! I came to town to visit my children & grandchildren & booked this hotel specifically for the amenities it offered for children! We drove an extra 25 minutes to stay in Elkhart instead of South Bend/Mishawaka where we usually stay that has a hot tub that we could have at least enjoyed! The only comment the night staff had was “oh, they must not have updated their site. We haven’t had that for awhile!” The next morning I took a note to the front desk asking about the arcade, the condition of our tub/shower, stating I was going to be leaving for a couple of hours & would like it cleaned. That there were dried buggers on the bar where you’d sit to eat. That we needed trash bags because the 2 cans in the room didn’t have any & she handed me one like it was my job to do. I also asked for clean towels. NOTHING WAS DONE TO CLEAN IT, CORRECT IT, I DIDN’T EVEN GET AN APOLOGY! It was written on a note, with the room number & nothing was done or even offered!! I also saw the price of the room went down by close to $30 a night after I checked in.

The property was well maintained and clean. The was a good variety for the breakfast buffett. It’s in a good location with several restaurants and shopping within a few minutes. Had a couple of issues. We requested a crib as we were traveling with a 9 month old. When it finally got delivered it was just the crib itself, when went to inquire about the mattress they offered a small stack of blankets as a substitute. We experienced a tornado watch, in which the staff had no idea if there was a shelter or a plan in place if the need arose. A cautionary warning, the bathtubs had no texture or bath mats, causing the tub to be slippery. Thus resulting in someone in our party to slip and get a concussion. And when notified the front desk staff, they made no attempt to inquiry as to the well being of the individual.

Reserved a 2 bedroom suite. When I arrived they said the people that had stayed in it had extended their stay. Not sure how that can happen when I specifically reserved that room. No one noticed me of any changes. They did give me 2 separate rooms to make up for it but then my family was separated. Not very impressed, and there was splatter of something on the walls, the bedding was ripped. Won’t be staying at this particular hotel again. Which is a shame because we love Staybridge Suites.

Staff was very nice. Glass cooktop was broken with missing pieces. Bathroom smelled like urine. Room was dated but quiet and location was fine.

Our room was clean, but had significant wear and tear. Needs an upgrade. For such a beautiful facade, it’s unfortunate when repairs aren’t made with care. The shower head needs changed. The tub had rust stains on it. Nothing major, but sure wish maintenance cared more.
