The staff was very friendly, speaking Spanish helped my fiance find everything! The rooms were very clean for a motel 6, this is very 5 star

The room was clean however the hallway smelled dirty and like weed. When I went to office in morning staff was rude like I was bothering them

Giving 2 stars cause the lady who checked me in was really nice. Other than that, my toilet wouldnt flush, someone tried to fix it but it still wasn’t working. Fridge door wouldn’t close and leaked everywhere. Thin walls, person underneath me was playing music all night and was loud in my room. Super noisy place between other guests and road noise. not good if ur a light sleeper. Night time staff rude

The location was great, but, there were baby roaches in the bathroom so that was disappointing. I suppose its to be expected with many people coming and going, so just be careful with bags and belongings.

Now I will tell you that, you probably will smell weed smell but I never smelled cigarettes… pricing I felt was great. I stayed two nights and they let me check in early for 160.00 that was with tax and the tip I left… there are plenty of food spots within walking distance and Walmart is about a 30 min walk if u feel up to it. I noticed a lot of us truck drivers stayed there… so it’s not like some people tell u it’s a long term living hotel for people, not saying they are not there but I never seen any as I stated 75% of the people were truck drivers.. so overall B++++ and yes I would stay there again if I am in the area laid over… thank Elk Grove, Illinois and not the Ohare location this is the motel 6 on 1000 west Devon in Elk Grove.. there are two in close proximity of each other please don’t get them confused…

The property is good for its cost. For me I wanted to stay close to Airport which is what this property serves. Clean and well maintained. Amenities wise should have at least had a freezer or a small refrigerator to store food.

I made a big mistake staying there with the kids. Would have been fine is I was solo. Extremly unwelcoming, unpleasent staff member during the early morning shift (~1 am). Drunk people hanging out in the parking lot and lobby. Fealt extremly unsafe, specially with our kids with us. Fighting and arguing by the enterance for a few hours after midnight. It was very interesting how they had instructions at the back of the key card envelope on how to lock your doors and fasten deadbolts. They know it is not safe! I asked the lady about this, but she noted all Motel 6 locations has the same instructions. Zero extra essentials! My son threw up at night and soiled the bed sheet and blanket. Asked for an extra sheet and blanket, but the answer I got was "you have to wait until 6 am! You can have a couple of towels for now!!". She had some empathy after I went up to my room and called my room at 3 am to offer me a blanket, but no sheet. She did not come to my room, instead, called at 3 am to wake up the kids!!

I didn't see any bugs. The shower water was warm. That's about it. The walls were uncleaned and had stuff smeared on them. The bed was hard as a rock. The ice machine was nonfunctioning and made noise you could hear from down the hall. The building was right next to the highway and no attempt was made to insulate the room from traffic noise. Lighting in the room was quite dim, probably to make the unclenliness less noticable.

As helpful as the front desk staff was, the halls smelled, our room had a terrible smell of mildew and the air conditioner/heater unit would smell like burnt hair when it was turned on. We found bugs (carpet Beatles/ants) and were offered a discount if we stayed another night only to be offered a discount on a weekend rate which was just as much as the room was. I was not happy with this and would never recommend it.

The only suggestion I have is that the motel needs an ice machine on each floor. People on the first floor have to take the elevator to the second floor and go all the way to the end of the building to get ice.

This is for Motel 6 in Elk Grove'Ohare. The room is in good condition but the t.v. reception keeps going off & on. Problem w/hot water pressure in the shower & sink goes off & on. A Major problem! The bed mattress is so bad that we're having problem sleeping on it and we wake up with back problems.backwth Back Problems!

Clean room "317" with the bells and whistles that included a small refrigerator, coffee machine, hair dryer, and ironing broad. However, the water pressure had issues and need to be check asap. Water system appeared backed-up. Toilet didn't complete flush and sink experienced overflow.

First couple nights were fine. Then ( pics and videos to prove it) I started seeing roaches. Told staff. They offered me a room on the second floor. They seem to segregate ppl in the motel so they can give yts the good rooms and others and “junkies” in the managers words in other rooms. They took advantage of my time and money knowing I was homeless. Instead of helping my friend in a mental episode or even possibly trying to get me from my room they terminated us and continued to call the police for said reason. Toilet would take 9 flushes. Only night shift person who was good to me was the young man. OH and the pompous woman who kicked me out w my kitten and very mentally unwell partner accused me of bribing my little sister and others in and out the room and that was the excuse for her to be able to not let me rent one last night. Only other person there was my ex husband who drove me and stayed one night for safety and brought back food but like I said left. Don’t go here. Especially if you ain’t in cahoots with the night shift woman who lets 304s run the place.

We booked a room with two double beds. One bed was comfortable, but the second was so bad it felt like it didn’t even have a mattress. The hotel is also very close to the freeway and a main road—it's located slightly below them—so the traffic noise was terrible at night, even though our room faced away from the roads.

It was clean which was great, and mostly quiet. Had to wait a few minutes for someone to be at the front desk but I did arrive late in the evening so I understand why that may be. Stayed in a 2 queen room and one bed was soft as mush (in a bad way) while the other extremely firm (not in a bad way necessarily, if you like a firmer mattress) which was odd. I stayed here because my flight got canceled last minute and all the hotels near the airport were full or wildly expensive, and this was not that far and quite a good deal, I would definitely stay here again in a similar situation.

Whole place smelled like smoke, bath tub was broken, mold everywhere, the bathroom door was so swollen at the bottom it wouldnt shut properly, cobwebs all on the baseboards, dogs barking all night, upstairs was stomping all night. Customer service gets a couple stars because they promptly refubded me my money, probably because they knew Inwas right about everything.

i had to get out of bed to see if the window was open because the traffic noise was SO loud. those windows must be paper thin. the bed closest to the door sounded like laying on bubble wrap/plastic. clearly an old mattress. there was a dirty/used washcloth left behind the bathroom garbage can. also be sure to bring toiletries because they only provide two bars of soap. also, not the motel’s fault, but another guest’s dog pooped in front of our door the morning we left. i understand when you’re going for cheap you need to expect cheap, but i will probably never stay at another motel 6 unless it comes recommended by someone i know.

Overall, the stay was made worthwhile thanks to the incredible hospitality from the front desk staff, but the room setup and maintenance could definitely use some improvement.

Helpful, friendly, accommodating staff! The elevator happened to be out the day we checked in, and my mother uses a wheelchair. They worked hard to make finagle bookings so that she had a ground floor room so that she could function. We stayed for several nights around Easter and they did their best to accommodate and help for everything we needed. We were able to rest peacefully and avoid some of the usual issues of budget motels around holiday visits.

The property is located conveniently. Its not in a busy street. The location is safe. What I like the most is they change towels and empty the trash bins everyday.

This hotel is a good pick for budget vacationers. It's quite a distance from downtown Chicago, about 50 minutes out near O'hare airport. The area is quiet and walkable. The hotel host some locals but everyone mine their business and go about their day. The place is clean with recent renovations. The rooms are exactly as pictured on the website. The owners and staff are a delightful and helpful people. Best of all for me was the 1:15 ride to the beautiful landscaped city of Milwaukee, which was not on our road trip. Elk Grove is a winner for those on a budget.
