We had a 3 night stay and I could not be more pleased. It’s always scary trying somewhere new when reviews are mixed and you are traveling with kids but everything was great! From check in to check out the employees were friendly and helpful. The room was spotless. Is this an older motel? Yes! But is it taken care of, clean, quiet and safe. Also yes! And bonus there is an amazing taco truck right down the street! We will be back!

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I hate to say this but, the bathroom smelled of urine, and it permeated the room. The floor was sticky and the beds were mounted on a metal casing that made it sound like thunder whenever you threw something like a phone onto the bed. It scared the crap out of us. The bathtub was very narrow. Not sure how plus size folks could use it.

Bed was extremely firm with no pad top. It was the most I have ever paid for a room of this quality. My fault.

The proximity and location make a good option if you're looking to participate or spectate for the Coast Guard marathon. The hotel did advertise that they don't do breakfast, which was nice that they made this clear from the begining. The seemed cleaned, but there were cockroaches in my room. The cockroaches made the room to almost have a dirty feeling eventhough they have been regularly cleaned. Recommend the hotel looking into getting a pest patrol to treat the area, set traps, spray, etc. The walls are thin! I was on the bottom floor and you can hear everything from your neighbors above and beside you! Light sleepers beware!

Reserved a non smoking room and on arrival, the room wreaked of cigarettes. The sheets and pillows smelled and looked dirty.

Nothing at all. This was the worst motel I've ever been to The room had cockroaches. Dirt on the bed, cockroach droppings on the fridge and under the microwave. Whole place smelled like cheap gas station cigar. Owner told me they haven't had a housekeeper in 6 months. Absolutely disgusting, my wife and I found a different hotel all together.

The start of my poor experience was the clerk that checked me in being somewhat rude. Then I was awakened at about 2am by a roach crawling on my forehead. I got up and turned on the light and found 5 or 6 of them crawling around the room. It messed up the rest of the night for me.

The location was the only good part of this business stay. The smell of marijuana was ripe all over the second floor. The room two rooms from mine had at least 7 men drinking alcohol and smoking as well as loudly arguing. They did quiet down around 2am. No other issues.

Very clean property! Highly recommend. Friendly staff, houskeeping works hard to make sure rooms are tidy and neat. Property is very well maintained you can tell they just finished renovations. 10/10

asked for non-smoking but got a smoking room; smelled musty and gross, sheets were damp and stained, toilet and shower dirty, air conditioner sounded like a plane was taking off all night, hotel on main road and was very loud, very small room

Dropped in at ~1:30am - which they accommodated for check-in. Place was clean, albeit a little bit musty/humid (though there's not much you can do about that in NC). AC worked well enough, desk guy was nice.

The whole room sloped to the rear. Continually felt like I was walking hills, in my room. Shoes stuck to the floor so never walked around in socked or bare feet. The bath/shower also slanted to the side. There was a hum that came through the electrical wires when any outlets were used.

Property was full of transient people. They were living there full time. Propane bottles sitting on window ledge meaning they were cooking on some kind of stove. No ice, tv was barely working. Steps to 2nd floor were uneven and dangerous. We left within 30 minutes of being there. The motel was supposed to return our money and cancel the next couple of days. Nothing, read above. We need our money back

I enjoyed my short stay at Travelers Inn. The price was reasonable, accommodations were clean, and the parking was convenient. The staff was extremely welcoming especially the nice lady at the front desk. I will definitely stay again.

We used it as pit stop to beach. Much better than last years pit stop. Clean and no smoke smell. Front desk was very courteous and helpful. We were late due to traffic.

When bad weather pushed my arrival/check-in time well into the night, she called me directly to check on my travel progress- and then waited up to check me in. The amenities are basic, clean, and exceeded expectations. Excellent experience and would recommend as a modest, reasonably-priced lodging option.

This is a pretty simple hotel. Low price, simple room that is nothing fancy. They are doing a remodel to update some things, still not fancy but it was very clean. The customer service though I must say was a definite 10/10. I was in town to run a marathon which meant that everywhere was fully booked. I mistakenly booked a smoking room and the lady at the front desk noticed by my outfit that I was a likely runner and wouldn't want a smoking room but they were fully booked. She told me which room she thought smelled the least due to the recent renovations, gave me multiple keys to let me check the different rooms to see which one smelled the least like smoke and offered to let me switch the next day if they had a cancellation. I also checked in very late and she contacted me while I was driving out there to make sure I was still coming so that I could cancel and get some money back if not. While I ended up staying in the smoking room due to no other vacancies I think the customer service needs to be called out as attempting to go way above and beyond to help me with a problem that was entirely my own fault.

Brittany was nice at the front desk but the room was not clean…there was hair all over the bathroom sink, toilet and floor. I knew this wasn’t a five star hotel but I was expecting a little bit more. The room being dirty just made me feel dirty the whole weekend. Didn’t even want to use the bathroom. The towels and rags were just so flimsy. The sheet, because there was no comforter just felt mushy so I slept on top of everything. They had some good TV channels though. I probably will not ever stay here again.

This is a basic, no-frills hotel. Our room was clean. We got a decent night's sleep. There were no safety concerns. We would stay here again.

Room was dirty and in need of renovations. Sheets were stained, floors sticky and bathroom ceiling mildewed. Chair had large stains. Toilet was not fastened to the floor properly and hit the wall when used. After showing management pictures was denied any type of compensation. I will never stay there again and neither should you. You’ve been warned.

The beds are on a metal frame which can be quite noisy. The refrigerator made a loud noise every time it turned off which woke me all night. Overall it was clean. The shower curtain could use a wash. The bathroom sink drained at a snails pace but I informed the front desk and they were gonna call a plumber. My biggest complaint was the towels. Bathroom linens were pitiful!!!!!! They were old, thin, dingy and hard as if they had been hung outside on a clothesline to dry. We considered stopping at dollar general to purchased new ones but we were only there for 2 days. This place could still use some improvements to improve the overall ratings.

The front desk staff was as nice and friendly on my third stay as they were on my first stay. The room was clean and the right size for my visits. I dont have anything negative to say.

Everything about this stay was great. From check in to check out. We had one small issue with the shower but it was handled quickly and professionally. Brittany is the BEST!! WE WILL STAY AGAIN!!

Phenomenal Staff! They are extremely friendly, helpful, and overall pleasant! And it is nice to support a true small business that’s excelling in a large industry. We will now ONLY stay their on our frequent trips to Elizabeth City. I cannot recommend them enough!

Room was clean and in good condition.

Room was clean but outdated. Linens on bed were clean. Location is close to highway so gets a little noisy during morning rush hour. A pipe burst while we were there so we were not able to shower in the morning before check out. But the front desk girl was polite and apologized for inconvenience. Would recommend for a one or two night stay.

Think the bugs live and dead really didn't impress me or my wife.. Went to talk to management and I never seen them but they did call us a few days later. I WOULDN'T NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE !!!

Beds are on spring-topped platforms, not box springs. Very friendly and accommodating staff brought us extra coffee, and even moved our room closer to the stairwell to shorten our walk on check in and out. Ice machine was empty.

Not a bad place for the price. Clean, but sketchy neighborhood. Good clerk at check in counter.

Give these guys some time and it should be ok. Right now they are working on the front and outside appearance. Rooms are rough but AC, shower and bed worked fine after a long bike ride. Better than staying in a tent with it being so hot and a thunder storm coming.

One thing that stands out was the condition of the wash cloths in the bathroom. Terribly so unclean and not bleached. It looked as if someone had cleaned their shoes with them.

Room had musty smell. Bed clanked when you moved.

The front desk and maintenance staff were GREAT. Super friendly and helpful when needed. The area had plenty of grassy areas for me to walk my dog. The room however was outdated, beds weren't too comfortable, and there were a few bugs or two interrupting in the bathroom.

Picked this hotel because of the location and pet policy. Description stated it was recently renovated, I was pleased with the cleanliness and the room. For a quick overnight with a dog - very good choice. Front desk staff was amazing!

I booked this for a colleague and he has been raving about it since.

It is pet friendly and as a non smoker I didn’t have to take a smokers room!! Not fancy but CLEAN

Very nice and clean place to stay in Elizabeth City

Dirty. Bugs. Got bite a few times during night. Floor sloped down n to side towards back of 2nd level. Toilet rocked. Floors were filthy. Had to wash feet at bedside after a shower to not have filthy foot marks in bed. Beds were extremely hard.
