The room was ok, I've seen worst. I didn't use any amenities, I was in town for something else. I fell yesterday due to a sink hole near my room. When I told the desk clerk this morning during checkout he never once inquired as to whether I was fractured at all. So unconcerned, no empathy. I didn't eat breakfast. Another tenant was inquiring about the pool not working when I arrived and she (wasn't in use) told him that's what made them check in and he was using false advertising.

Family and I Will never stay in that place again. We will tell our other family members and friends not to book that place to stay. Pay extra to stay in a safe and loving environment for your peace of mind. The room had a VERY BAD ODOR . Call the front desk a man came and said he didn’t smell nothing but my husband’s cologne. He sprayed three puffs of air freshener and left the room. The door didn’t close tightly. The crack in door kept it from closing properly. Breakfast was apples wafers, juices, milk & cereal. No MEATS you were left on your own in the breakfast room. No person on duty while me ,my husband and a family from Florida were in the breakfast room. No individual carton of milk for cereal. Just one gallon jug in fridge. No elevator for handicap person and the stairs were rusted.I checked the bed sheets and they looked as if someone just pressed them out with their hands and remade the bed. The pillows were circled with stains. I’m planning to get in touch with health department on Monday to share my experience I had there. Spoke with a family traveling from Florida and they too had a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

I have only 2 issues, one was the green pool. I bought a swimsuit on the way so we could enjoy the pool. The other was the little itty bitty trash can under the sink. It simply wasn’t enough, we had to leave trash lying around. Aside from that everything was perfect. Thank you for a great weekend. We’ll definitely be back Good Lord willing!

Didn't stay for breakfast left within a couple hours of check in without a refund due to cleanliness and fear of safety. After she gave me my initial.key she changed my room which was not the room initially given to me and the room was disgusting it smelled of moisture and the adjacent door kept being played with while my husband and I were trying to watch television. I hated everything that's why we left within an hour of sitting in the room by time we got back with dinner to try to eat there was a huge bug and then the situation with the adjacent room doors.

This hotel is disgusting. It should be poor quality no choice hotels I don’t even know how they call themselves a hotel that’s not even a motel that’s a crack den. There was roaches in the first room and the second room that they switched us to live roaches running around had to be killed. There was holes in the ceiling. The door have been kicked in deadbolt and chain lock did not work so the door gave light in and also air. It was dry blood on the headboard and dry blood on the floor by the nightstand I took pictures of everything should be condemned. No one should be allowed to stay here definitely not allowed to pay to stay there. It was disgusting and then he talking about he give a free night. No one wants to stay there any night a free night at the next night, not even the night that we stayed there

This is a case of you get what you pay for. Although the staff was great, the property itself truly needs updating. No exhaust fans in the bathroom has lead to a mold problem as well as what looked like mold on the ceiling of our room. The closest ice machine was out if order as well. The beds slept well. We probably won't stay again, but you live and you learn.

There was shattered glass all over the parking lot from cars being broken into. Homeless people living in tents in the back. People doing drugs and watching from the live in place next door. Not a safe place for kids rooms weren't clean. Burn holes in blankets. Smelled like stale cigarettes. Curtains were dirty. Door didn't shut all the way and had clearly been broken into. We went back to the office after seeing the room and checked out we did not stay it was that bad

This is an older property along a major thoroughfare. The room and grounds were clean, and all of the essentials were present. The front desk staff was amazing. I did not take advantage of the breakfast so cannot rate it. There were well-kept, mowed, outdoor spaces around the hotel for walking the dog. Outdoor noise was an issue until around 11:30 PM.

The room was horrible. I was the front desk manager of a Holiday Inn Express for many years so I know what rooms should look like. If my wife had been with me we would have left the hotel as soon as I saw the room and moved to a different hotel. Hotel is BADLY in need of updating but I'm guessing because of all I heard going on outside there are alot of cash paying customers. And another thing, the lady working behind the counter when I checked-in just continued sitting in her chair through the process. I don't think she cared if I stayed there or not. I certainly did not feel welcomed or wanted!!!!! And one more thing. I sat on the edge of my bed and around the top of the mattress I could feel metal...sharp, uncomfortable metal.

When we arrived they were drying the carpet out with a big fan. The carpet was soaking wet! There were chunks of the carpet missing. We pulled the sheets back and there was debris on the sheets. There were also burn holes in the bedding. The guy at the desk responded “they are just burn holes”. We requested the sheets be changed and they were. The smoke detector kept going off and we requested battery change. At 5:00 am the alarm went off again and continued to the point we took it off the ceiling.

Breakfast fairly typical but sufficient. Location was great for my purpose (walking distance to shuttle pickup to event). Staff was friendly and responsive. Maintenance is lacking: TV didn't work; light over desk didn't work; door draft blocker was loose (had to push it back each time); microwave door latch got stuck (had to pull it back out); toilet paper dispenser came loose. None was that big a deal for me to contact the staff.

Inexpensive hotel, easy check in, friendly staff, clean room. Only negatives were that Wi-Fi, while showing up, did not connect to the Internet, and apparently some rooms, including the one I was in, have TVs that do not have any manual buttons and that will not let you switch inputs so you can use your Roku or firestick or laptop. Other regulars there said that the TVs in some rooms are fine for that, but others simply will not allow it, so I'm probably not going to be able to stay here again, as I need Wi-Fi and the ability to connect via HDMI to a TV. The TV looks for a cable connection from the hotel, not HDMI, and won't search other inputs if the cable is unplugged, so we can't even swap in anything that way. I would not be able to do remote work reliably from this hotel. That said, as a clean, comfortable room with good staff and no drama, it was fine, so it depends on what you need from a hotel. Price, cleanliness, and comfort were great.

The staff was accommodating but a bit drab. The doors on all 4 of the rooms we had did not shut well at all. We were able to open the locked door without our key card, which didn't make us feel very secure. The rooms were cleaned daily. Breakfast consisted of a couple of cereal dispensers in a large club room with a juice machine, not that we expected anything more. Although very convenient, it was very noisy at night from loud traffic. A lot of people were disrespectful around the room doors waking us up several times during the night, both nights of our stay. I'm not complaining, but, I'm not giving praise either.

Quality Inn was a fine stay. It's older and a little run down, but it was clean and the staff was very polite and responsive. It's a safe part of town, so I never felt any issues. The breakfast was simple, but it was a good, hot, fresh waffle and fruit. There were no issues with the bed or the linens, though the room smelled of smoke, likely a result of the property's age. I saw NO insects my entire week long stay, which I feel like is a major accomplishment for any hotel. The Wi-Fi was typical slow hotel Wi-Fi, so nothing particularly good or bad there. It worked well enough to browse the web and stream SD movies. Don't try gaming on it. The room was cleaned daily and fresh linens and towels were supplied on request. Overall, it did what it needed to do without any issues.

This place was so disgusting! Dirty sheets that had burn holes in them, bugs, mold in the refrigerator, black mold by the AC and a sopping wet carpeted floor by the AC. There was one chair in the room that was broken that had metal where if anyone would have sat on it, would have been cut. We tried to find other accommodations but everything was sold out. We slept on towels on top of the bed. The lights by the vanity didn’t work. The lock to the door was broken. There was a hole in the door where the peephole is and had a napkin stuffed in it. This was the worst overnight stay ever!!! We were so grossed out! There was a sign in the room that said no smoking and it said this policy is strictly enforced yet the room wreaked of smoke. When I walked to the front desk to let them know, the girl named Quan, said she only checks people in and doesn’t deal with any issues with the rooms. She also said there are no non smoking rooms. Because of these issues, I don’t think in good conscience keep my money. I want a full refund. I have pictures of everything I mentioned. Mark Bateman, handybateman@verizon.net

The refrigerator was turned off & full of mold. The carpet in the bathroom area was damp. The toilet didn't flush properly. There was an ashtray upside down on the nightstand, even though I booked a non-smoking room, and the ashtray wasn't even wiped out. I was stuck on the second floor as far away from each stairwell as possible. When l checked in, l was shown my room number on a computer screen turned toward me so that anyone standing behind me could clearly read it. Literally the second worst hotel experience l have ever had.

I stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed. The bathroom had mold and was broken in several places. The cleanliness overall was horrible – it looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. This place definitely does not meet basic hygiene standards. I would not stay here again.

You get what you are paying for so if you wang a cheap stay youll survive. Staff was nice and it was clean. Just smelled so bad of smoke, was so loud outside in parkinglot all night, and kinda felt unsafe as a female alone.

Very aged! Mold throughout, on the mattress and in the bathroom. Broken and wore everywhere. People smoking all around and vagrants hanging out around the room as well. Dealt with 2 people checking in, 1st tried to check in at 12pm. Waited at the front desk listening to her talk on her phone for 10 mins before I interrupted her to ask if I could check in early, with real attitude and nastiness, she snapped that check-in was at 2pm. When I came back at 230 I dealt with a different employee who was nicer. The room is nasty though, holes in the blankets, stains on the sheets, smoke detector was missing just hanging wires. Tub was gross and falling apart. Loud music all night. Would never stay and Hotels.com should be embarrassed to even offer this place!

Theres only so many hotels in Elizabeth City but they need to do some major updating of the facility and staff. I checked in at 8ish, went to grab food. My mom goes to use the microwave and theres colored liquids on the glass bottom. I go to grab some tissue and although the toilet seat is up like someone cleaned, theres not one roll of toilet paper. I try to call the front desk and the phone doesn't work. Find the number online and she says you can come downstairs and pick some up because housekeeping left at 3. My mom went downstairs to report the issues and we weren’t offered an apology or an offer to even switch rooms. Im guessing she knew things werent any better in another room. There was a roach crawling on the mini fridge that still had the prior guests drink inside. My mom killed a roach on the night stand and I founds ants in my bed. I of course took photos/video and reported to Expedia who said it was upto the hotel to address. This was a last minute trip for a funeral so we had a non-refundable rate but still this room was unacceptable. I slept with a blanket I keep in my car on my moms bed. We checked out the next morning.

Customer service is very bad. When we go for breakfast there is nothing except make your own waffle and cereal. Coffee maker doesn't make coffee it's coming light brown water. I asked receptionist about breakfast and she told me that's all they have. I was waiting to asked her but she was watching movie or something with high volume. She doesn't notice someone is waiting. Breakfast room is not even clean. We got orange juice and throw away because it bad smell too.

This was the worse hotel stay I've ever experienced. There were cigarette hikes in the duvet, our second night there .. The people next door were having a house party including kids vulgar music and marijuana smoking. The clerk did get them to turn off the music around 2am but they still were up loud and running. We were supposed to leave at 5am .. But since no one got any sleep, we didn't leave until 645. I will never stay at this location again.

I had a reservation for two rooms. They were both subpar. The box spring had red stains all over it, smoke burns on the comforters (noon smoking room? Saturday night or was like the room next door was having a house party, deragatory loud rap music, young kids cursing, running all around the hotel, it was the worse stay of my life. I did call down to the front desk and they got them to turn the music off around midnight but the noise and committing lasted until 2am. The second room was not much better, the lock malfunctioned and locked my daughter in the room for 30 minutes until someone got them out.

When booked---pool. NOT available to use when I was there. Room was ok but dried paint on curtains; 2 holes punched on both sides of bathroom door and back side was loose/broken; many plugs were not plugged in including room phone; tub plug not working correctly; we had to wait in lobby until exactly 3pm to check in EVEN though rooms were ready and they were not busy. I won't go there again.
