Reviews
The hotel received mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness and quietness, but expressing disappointment over the unavailability of the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was also a point of contention, with some guests praising the variety while others found it sub-par.
- Hotel cleanliness and quietness
- Excellent breakfast variety in some instances
- Pool and hot tub frequently closed or under maintenance
- Breakfast quality and variety inconsistent
- 3/5
The stay was decent as I was only there to sleep. The significant miss for me is no coffee in the room. I prefer to have a cup of coffee in my room while I ready for the day before going down to the lobby and sadly that was not an option for this hotel. They have a single coffee maker in the lobby for everyone to utilize at all times. Also, the ice machine was not working on our floor and you had to go to the lobby for that as well.
- 2/5
Won't be back..not clean loud people ..staff never available when you need them..rather rude at your check in also.
- 2/5
That's terrible service and staff
- 5/5
I wish they had a pool. I wish they had more breakfast choices—fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes or waffles—stuff like that.
- 4/5
Hopefully you don't get a room that ajoins your room, with a noisy couple. Walls seem to be thin and you can hear everything all night long! Rooms where nice and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was better than Continental Breakfast with microwaved cheese omelette and sausage. Staff was somewhat helpful, until I complained about No pool and hot tub. It was worth the price...!
- 2/5
Would not stay here again. 8.0 on Hotels.com is way to high of a rating. The place smelled bad in the lobby, elevators, and hallway. Ice machine out of order on the second floor. Areas of the building and ceiling tiles dilapidated. Continental breakfast was severely lacking. Choose not to swim or eat the breakfast based off of mild fear and both were unappealing.
- 3.5/5
The bed is so comfortable. No pool even though the company continues to advertise it.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean. Breakfast was a little lacking. Staff was nice.
- 5/5
Muy buen servicio y limpieza de las instalaciones 👏
- 2/5
poo; wasnt opened and the ice machine didnt work
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and eager to help. The property was excellent
- 5/5
Nice place!
- 4/5
You get what you pay for. Decent room. Skip the breakfast it’s horrible.
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and quiet. Very impressed with the place.
- 3/5
Hotel was not bad, room was clean. However, when we got to the hotel there were not lights on the outside everything was dark. And we have to wait until someone comes to open the door for us.
- 3/5
Mattress was hard on back. Breakfast was lacking.
- 3/5
The gentleman at the front desk was very nice. When we got into our room, we found it was never cleaned. He quickly found a different room to put us in and that room still had garbage in one of the cans. There was no soap in the bathroom to wash our hands with. I feel we should have gotten SOMETHING....literally anything for the inconvenience of getting into a room that was never cleaned.
- 5/5
Generally the room is very clean. Quiet place to stay. I recommend this place.
- 4/5
The photo shows this as a Hampton inn. It is no longer a Hampton. Still a nice hotel.
- 4/5
rate is more affordable, convenient location for when we are in town, clean place, very helpful and courteous staff, but shower water did not get hot!
- 1/5
The hotel was closed! I had to find a new hotel
- 0.5/5
Absolutely nothing, it was closed when we got there! The doors were locked and hotel was closed when we arrived from 5 hours away. There was NO noticed or warning from the hotel about this and I had PRE PAID. So I am expecting a FULL REFUND!! Very unprofessional behavior and I will never being staying in any other Hampton Inns anywhere!
- 4/5
Good
- 2.5/5
The pool was not open!
- 1.5/5
Location Pool down ,broken amenities, staff aloof to issues. Rude as well. Phones down entire day
- 1/5
I normally have great experiences with Hampton Inn which is why I chose this hotel on our drive back home, in fact my son and I stayed at a Hampton Inn in Toledo the night previous and it was fantastic. The pool was closed due to "Maintenance" which was false. They just didn't have staff to take care of towels etc. The main door was never locked at night. There were paint chips on the floor in both the room and the hallway. It smelled like wet dogs everywhere. They also charged $150 for incidentals which I thought was out of the ordinary but they also then charged me the same fee as hotels.com and if you try to call them at the front desk best of luck. So I was charged twice. Days after I would try calling and all I would get is a busy signal so I finally just went straight to my bank and took care of it that way. After reading their reviews through this site and google I wish I had checked before booking but it was late, we were tired and hungry. This hotel is an absolute embarrassment to the Hilton franchise. I should have had better instincts when my son said "Dad we are the only car in the parking lot." I wish I could give less than a one star rating on this. I normally never complain and make the best of a given situation but I can't imagine being there with a young family.
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices.
- 2/5
I specifically booked this hotel because it had a hot tub and we were looking forward to using it after a long travel day. The entire pool area was closed, so that was very disappointing. Also, the hotel seemed a little run down and the breakfast was sub par. Not up to the normal standards of a Hampton Inn.
- 3/5
Ive stayed here in previous years and enjoyed my stay but the last 2 were with some concerns....last year our shower water would not get hot....had to shower in another room....this time toilet bowl and seat looked unclean....like mold had started growing....i alerted the front desk attendant and she gave me a different room....
- 4/5
Jose and staff were very helpful and friendly. The property had some deficits, no access to pool or computer. Parking lot maintenance was long overdue. Sign on front of building needs repair. Lose the derelict vehicles. Though not Hampton's fault, someone should cut down weeds on neighboring property to better see the Hampton sign on approach to property. Overall, though the facility fulfilled our needs. Thank you.
- 1/5
I had an accident and tryed to cancel stay. I was told that I had a nonrefundable resrvation. I could not talk to anybody tell them I had purchased insurance.
- 3.5/5
Location right off the interstate. The bed was comfortable. The room felt old and rundown. The carpeting was downright ugly. The window treatment would not operate up or down (I informed the front desk when we checked out). It would have been nice to take a relaxing dip in their pool, but it was closed for repairs. I chose the hotel because of the indoor pool and feel I should have been charged a reduced rate. ☹️
- 4/5
The pool was closed
- 3/5
This place was fine. It worked for our needs. There wasn't anything outstanding or terrible to report. Adequate
- 1/5
This was one of the worst places ive ever stayed. The pool was not working, there were people in the courtyard being loud till almost 2 am. Our phone didn't work to call the front desk, one day the 1st floor button didn't work on the elevator so i thought i was trapped inside asked for more towels, after almost 2 hours i tracked down a maid. Just very unhappy and the staff could have cared less. Only good thing, parking was easy and it waz easy to find
- 4/5
Pretty out dated. Not a lot of amenities. The elevator broke and the pool was closed during our entire stay
- 3/5
The staff was friendly. Our room was ok. Bathtub took 20 mins to drain after a shower. The pool was closed, which was not good!! The reason I booked here was the indoor pool and it was close to the venue we were in town for. Continental breakfast was mediocre.
- 5/5
Very clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming
- 4/5
Everything was good. Only thing was that the pool was out of service because it was getting repairs
- 5/5
I wish the refrigerator had a freezer. #313
- 4/5
Bed .... could not get to an acceptable temp.
- 3.5/5
Other guests kept using the elevator
- 5/5
convenient for my needs
- 0.5/5
pool was not open, we only booked here because of nice pool. ended up canceling reservation and went to holiday inn, which had an amazing pool. Hampton inn should update info saying pool was closed for construction no pool. (when description says it has one available…it’s closed for construction)
- 2/5
Never coming back
- 4/5
very nice
- 3/5
Good for short stay.
- 3/5
No pool or hot tub
- 1/5
We left and went to a hotel close by so we could swim and have a nice clean room!
- 1/5
Might be one of the worst hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. There was a tweezer, a diaper & dirty spoon found under one of the beds. The pool is broken even though the site says it’s open, & the pool has not been working for a while. But thank goodness for extra loud AC, drowns out the noise from the highway.
- 2/5
We were very disappointed about the pool not working/ available when we were there. I made reservations here because the pool was going to be open and usable for our stay. The web page didn't indicate that the pool wasn't working/ available. We get there and no note or staff informed us about the pool not being available. When we get to the pool door, a small note (about 2in x 5in) was posted there that the pool was under maintenance and wasn't available. Not sure we will stay here again.
- 3.5/5
the overall room the fact that that the swimming pool and it wasn’t told to the customer tell we checked in
- 0.5/5
My shower was backed up and in a 5 minute shower the water backed up to my ankles.
- 3/5
Pool was not working - wish they would have told me when I booked since I said I was coming with my son. So I had a very disappointed son. Room was not the cleanest- several finger smudges on mirror by closet, tub and sink were not completely clean. Breakfast was fine and location was convenient.
- 4/5
Over all it good place to stay
- 2/5
absolutely nothing the whole stay was crap
- 4/5
It suited our needs and was convenient.
- 1.5/5
The power went out 3 times on the morning we left. Our bathroom floor towel had some strange brown/tan dirt on it. The fridge and microwave in the room weren’t on when we arrived and we had to troubleshoot why- only to find out one of the outlets didn’t work.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Only problem was microwave didn't work. Disappointing.
- 2/5
It was close to the area I was visiting.
- 4/5
Booked hotel months in advance for granddaughter’s Xmas gift so she can swim and pool was “closed”.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
10/10
- 2/5
We booked a room with a king bed and were told upon check-in that because we’d booked through a third party, there was nothing the hotel could do so we were stuck with two queens beds. The hotel staff that checked us in didn’t ask for us to sign anything or provide our vehicle information which I found very odd: she just said “ID and credit card” and gave us our room keys. The room itself was ok but there was a lot of remodeling happening all over the hotel so hallways were torn up and messy at times. The beds were very firm and not particularly comfortable. We stayed here because that’s where the bride and groom booked a block of rooms but would not stay here again of our own choosing. Way too overpriced for the level of accommodation and service we received.
- 5/5
Only thing i would say is cant see the sign due to the fact its the next door business thats closed
- 1/5
The person after her, was wonderful but I can’t remember her name and the manager we spoke to in the morning was amazing and very pleasant and took care of us. The rugs in the room were filthy, the sheets were itchy and stained. We asked for new sheets and bed spread and the sheets were stained as well. Room was not clean and you could feel it.
- 4/5
Close to my destination
- 4/5
I like that the pool was open for a good amount of time. Felt like the fitness center had a very strong bleach smell so didn't feel like working out due to that..
- 5/5
.
- 0.5/5
First room smelled badly of smoke and was not clean
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Meh....this Hampton is in process of renovations, somewhat hard to tell at what stage they were regarding my own room and hallway..... somethings were done, others not
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
When I checked in the lady behind the desk was swamped. She was friendly the entire time and apologized for making me wait. I appreciated her. However the room was mediocre. The bathroom was not cleaned at all and the toilet worked maybe half the time. Shower wasn’t great (actually felt like under the tub part was warped). Breakfast was ok as well. Nothing to write home about. Gym was good.
- 5/5
Tough to review as property was still being updated. Rooms were excellent and staff were stellar group!
- 5/5
Great location.
- 5/5
Nice people at desk.
- 3/5
The bathroom had one hook to hang a towel, and no towel bars at all! We had to leave our wet snd soiled towels on the side of the tub. Breakfast was ok but you couldn’t get water in the breakfast room. Overall I found this hotel to be one I would not stay at again. Our last two stays at Hampton Inns were disappointing. The services and facilities were not great. We are looking elsewhere the next time we need a hotel.
- 1/5
most tv channels did not work. the hot tub was down. the back door did not open. no shampoo or conditioner. the ladies bathroom downstairs did not work, etc
- 4/5
The property was easy to locate, very close to where i wanted to go. My room was semi clean,, i found popcorn, child toy,and other things on the floor. You could see the bathroom was half swepty but overall it was ok.
- 2/5
Bad service. Nor fiendly.
- 2/5
The room smelled like CBD/marijuana. Carpet was filthy. Also we booked a room with two double beds and when we got to hotel, got a room w/ queen bed and sofa bed. Never using Expedia again
- 3.5/5
not able to use the pool. this should be part of the hotel experience. if it is not usable we should be refunded part of our money
- 5/5
Great check in person. Room was up to date. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly at breakfast.
- 1/5
For a Hampton Inn, this place is very basic. The room had three problems. First, I like to have the fan running constantly at night – especially when, like last night, I’m given a room right by the elevator. The fan cutting on and off at night can wake me up. Neither the “High” nor “Low” settings on the fan worked, only the “Auto” setting. The corner of the room where the AC unit is located is dark, so I used my phone light to see the settings. When I did, I noticed a lot of debris inside the AC unit. I’m not sure what it was. It looks like the stuff that gets caught in low-hanging branches when a stream floods – kind of like a moldy moss. Not something I want to breath in. The worst part of my stay was when I tried to take a shower in the morning. I turned on the water, pulled up on the knob to activate the shower and…nothing. The shower didn’t work! I told the receptionist when I checked out. He said that he would notify the manager and she would call me. She didn’t.
- 4/5
Kinda run down and there were some seedy looking characters working on a vehicle in the back parking lot
- 4/5
Breakfast very good
- 1/5
Horrible condition. Nothing was working. Every thing under maintenance.
- 5/5
very comfy beds.
- 5/5
Un cuarto limpio buena cama,el area limpia y el desayuno exelente sobre todo las papas ricas q tenían 😅
- 1/5
The stay was terrible. The pool was under construction and I was not informed until check in. I specifically wanted a hotel with pool for the kids. I will never use hotel.com again.
- 3/5
Pool was "out of order". Wallpaper & door frames were torn & hanging off the walls in the hallway. Flooring was gross. Toilet paper holder was broken. Breakfast food was minimal. Room & bed were comfortable though, basic & small albeit. Overall disappointing for what we paid.
- 2/5
Never booking with Expedia. I booked for a king bed and ended up getting two queens. Very very disappointing
- 1/5
I made a mistake on the dates of my arrival and called the hotel to change it, they said "Call Expedia" even though they had availability. I called Expedia and then they called the Hampton Inn, got everything switched and emailed me a confirmation. Got to the Hampton, the front desk manager confirmed that she spoke with Expedia but said no new booking came through but then ARGUED with Expedia on the phone (in front of me) and never got my booking changed. Expedia paid more money out of their own pocket ($50 more) to relocate me to a hotel 200 feet away because the Hampton Inn wouldn't cooperate. I don't think anyone did this on purpose but I think the system was down or the operator at the Hampton was ill-trained... but she definitely was NOT trying to work with Expedia to find a solution, she was only focused on blame for why my booking didn't get changed. Also, in front me me she mumbled "If people wouldn't go to these websites just to get cheap rates"... I was like, "Hey, I don't go to Expedia just to get a CHEAP room, if I did, I'd have found a cheaper place than the Hampton, not all people that use web services to find hotels are cheap, it's a matter of convenience." Bottom line, some people should not be in the hospitality industry. Very disappointed.
- 3/5
This is a sub par Hampton Inn. The parking lot needed attention. The staff wore no masks even though all guests are asked to wear one. A communal microwave in the hall. No thank you. No place to hang coats in the room and 1 trash can for the entire space...including the bathroom. The staff was pleasant and the rooms were clean. Its fine for 1 night but i would reconsider anything over 2 nights.
- 3/5
The bummer was cold pool, no hot tub(probably covid reason) and no breakfast served. We always use this Hampton on this trip(1-2 time a year). I was also disappointed to find out that there was no one staffed at the desk for the overnight. A little disconcerting to find that out that morning. The morning desk help guy was bummed when he showed up for his shift, but did not apologize for the inconvenience. I will give the benefit of the doubt due to covid. We have never had a negative experience here. I hope things improve at our next stay or we may reconsider future accommodations.
- 3/5
I would’ve given an excellent review if not for the $150 hold on my credit card. I won’t be using this business in the future
- 2/5
not upto the brand
- 4/5
Everyone was very nice, very quiet and very clean.
- 5/5
Our room was very comfortable and the beds were very comfy. The room was very clean. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Morning breakfast was adequate. The room was nice and quiet could not hear any neighbors.
- 3/5
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
- 1/5
Hotel was clean. Hotel did NOT have working Cable TV and did not offer any discounted rate. Had an oh well attitude. Breakfast was so badly overcooked, we couldnt eat it.
- 2/5
There was no cable TV. We were told this when we checked in but we were still disappointed. The hot breakfast really didn't offer that much plus the juice machine was not working so we went out for breakfast.
- 3/5
Room was very clean and comfortable and hotel was very clean. Only issues were that the satellite was out, and not a smart TV in the room to cast from my phone. Also the pool was not heated. So was kind of cool to swim in.
- 2/5
During the 3 night stay the tv in our room did not work at all. There was no cable service. Front desk told us at the first night, but it was never fixed. Not reasonable for a hotel/motel to not have tv service in the rooms.
- 2/5
The breakfast was lacking in choices, each day it got less. The room only had one chair, so one of us had to sit on the bed. The door on the cabinet to the refrigerator was broken and would not close completely. Room service was suspended unless asked for! Not my idea of a Hampton Inn!!
- 1/5
The manager, Bobbi, was unbelievably rude and disrespectful. She attacked us as we walked into the building without a mask - we are from out of state where it isn’t required and didn’t have one on hand. Instead of offering masks, she wouldn’t let us in the building without one. She tried telling us we couldn’t eat in the lobby/dining area. She yelled at us about our girls (softball team) running around the halls - which wasn’t our team anyway. Our girls retreated to one room to hang out and stay out of trouble where they discovered a crack pipe under the bed. The mom took it to the front desk where the manager flipped her lid, took the pipe and took it into the back, refused to give the number to corporate or her name, and proceeded to threaten to call the cops on us. She then asked “where are you people from? You’ve been a problem all night”. Our parent ended up calling the police to make a report. Our girls also had a run-in with an middle to older aged gentleman that was trying to sell them “crinkle fries for $50” and then proceeded to knock on their door. Worst experience ever. Will NEVER stay here again.
- 1/5
Got there and the hotel said they were over booked had no room and my booking should of been canceled along with 7 other people booked through other sites. I am hotel rewards gold and they have this as me STAYING There when I’m just now getting home at 6am after attempting to check in around 11:30 pm!! I WANT MY REWARD night back and money!! The hotel said hotels was notified
- 1/5
The breakfasts were terrible, no taste and thrown together with NO variety The day personnel did not clean the room when we requested and had to wait to get it done The day front desk was rude and very argumentative The overall shape of the place has went downhill as I have stayed there many times before…never again! By the way, found a used condom under my bed while looking for my shoe…YUK And it wasn’t ours!!!
- 3/5
The hotel was a little run down. The pool was down they said for cleanup and maintenance however I didn't see anyone working or cleaning till last day of stay. The smell of chlorine was so strong you could smell it with doors closed down the hall.
- 4/5
Ok to stay at. Nothing fancy
- 1/5
Isolation was nice. Hot Tub and pool closed! Breakfast was horrible. Room cleaning knocked at 8 AM! NoT Ever Again!
- 2/5
Room had terrible smell, it was also very dated.
- 1/5
Dirty, smelly, poor bed. Breakfast was broken juice dispenser and very little go eat. I waited 20 minutes for coffee refill. When i asked fot credit on my 2nd night because i checked out early it was denied. What a fleabag! Do not stay here. Hilton would be shocked and ashamed of this property.
- 3/5
The hedge is so tall it blocks the Hampton sign. Cannot find the location.
- 5/5
Room was nice n clean ty
- 1/5
Poor amenities for older people.
- 2/5
After checking in, we went to our room only to find that it was a double bed room and not a king bed as we specifically reserved. When we went back to the front desk they said they didnt have any king beds even at the time I had reserved the room. So there was misrepresentation. We are still waiting for a response from the hotel. Reserve carefully.
- 4/5
One night There was a noisy guest and the front staff were very responsive and resolved the problem quickly.
- 2/5
There were multiple issues from the time we arrived. We had two rooms and immediately one of the rooms toilets over flooded and we had to move rooms. The pool was closed on a Saturday for cleaning because it was filthy. The continental breakfast was bare and the eggs tasted odd. On Sunday night the fire alarm was going off outside and in the lobby a pipe had busted which flooded the entry way and the entrance to the elevators. The alarm continued to go off past midnight and a front desk person was no where to be found. The rooms were fine but the overall experience was terrible.
- 1/5
I was very disappointed the pool was closed..did not stay. Requesting a full refund.
- 1/5
nothing
- 3/5
Old building
- 3/5
Good hotel, but cable TV at the hotel had limited selection of channels.
- 3/5
The front entrance smelled...the rooms were small and fairly clean. Breakfast was terrible. Not at all what we expected from a Hampton Inn. Wish we would have stayed at nearby Holiday Inn.
- 5/5
It was an OK stay overall
- 2/5
This is a subpar Hampton Inn. Had A/C issues in both the lobby and the rooms. It stated breakfast was included and there was 1 waffle machine to share with all guests. The building needs repairs and up keep.
- 1/5
I did not stay here. This reservation was supposed to be cancelled.
- 1/5
Room had a bad smell coming from vents of AC unit, had to keep a window open plus run the bath fan all night while running the air conditioning just to suck fresh air into the room. Pool closed for maintenance, for several weeks apparently. Ice machines broken. Vending machines out of order. Breakfast was subpar.
- 3/5
Guest services was amazing, cordial and accommodating
- 1/5
There was no room avialable, they were over booked! I recieved no notice of this. I recieved no text or email conformation.
- 3/5
The customer service was not good!! People were not nice except for the kitchen lady!
- 5/5
The only problem was that we reserved two queen beds for each room (2) rooms reserved & the other room was occupied so we had to wait for another room which ended up being a king bed but It worked out and we had a nice time. I enjoyed my husband ,daughter & grandkids they loved swimming 🤗
- 5/5
Very friendly
- 1/5
1. A shared microwave by the ice machine. Seriously? 2. An empty hot tub. Awesome. 3. A freezing cold pool. Seriously, my gf will always swim no matter the temp, and even she thought it was freezing. I asked the guy at the front desk if they could adjust the temp, "Uhhhhhhhhhhh, nah" 4. At least 75% of the channels on the TV didn't work, just a bouncing Direct TV logo. Wow. 5. We tried calling the front desk multiple times, no one ever answered. If we had paid $100 for this room I wouldn't care. But $200 for this? That's an absolute joke. I have no idea how this hotel is rated so highly. STAY AWAY.
- 3/5
Hot tub empty and not functioning. TV channels very limited. Breakfast bar was excellent but not adequately staffed. Had to rekey keycards numerous times during our stay. This was not a $150 per night hotel. More like $85 per night.
