My reservation was cancelled by the hotel due to what was claimed to be a power failure.

Very pleased with my stay clean room continental breakfast!

Comfort Inn in Elgin, Illinois, is a clean and comfortable hotel that my wife and I always go to when we visit. The free breakfast is an excellent way to start the day!

Paid for 2 queen bed suite and when we got there they sold our room. The rep told me that my room was only for 1 queen bed with a pull out. After I show them my reservation they quickly apologized and told me that they sold my room. I left and request for a refund. Traveling 6 hours for this

Beautiful rooms

Staff wasn't great at check in. Reservation was made for two nights but only one night was booked in system. Front desk made me check out and back in for a 2nd reservation instead of just adding a nite.

Staff gave incorrect breakfast start time on a Saturday and we weren’t able to eat breakfast before leaving.

The Hotel was very clean , comfortable rooms and great breakfast . The staff at counter were nice , but the staff at the breakfast area were not polite they didn’t say hello or even smile and when someone asked for something they didn’t answer. Bedside that everything else was fine.

the facility and the room was excellent, bed was comfortable, breakfast was standard and they did offer hot items, pool was open and clean, however the moment we got near the elevators we smelled Raid, and later discovered that there was an ant issue. we left a cup of juice with very small amount of liquid in the cup and when we came back it was covered in ants, it was so bad that they were getting on the bed.. other than that it was a good stay..

We were so glad that we chose this property. We had to extend our stay by one day and the front desk people were most helpful and courteous at all times. The location is ideal, the property well-maintained, and our room was very large and well set-up. Highly recommend!

When I arrived at the hotel to check in l, the staff informed me I had booked for the incorrect day. While I was standing at the front desk I told the person I would cancel that reservation and immediately rebooked to stay that evening. I was told to contact Expedia regarding a refund. I did contact Expedia, who contacted the hotel and they refused to refund me for the cancellation, even though I rebooked that same night. I’m extremely disappointed in the hotel management for their decision.

Very musty smelling in the lobby but the room was nice. Bed wasn’t bad for one night. If I had to stay multiple I probably would go somewhere else. Lots of dining options in walking distance.

This hotel was in a convenient place for where we needed to be. It was sufficient for our needs, but not spectacular. The treadmill was broken. Breakfast was pretty good, but the sausage was not warm on either morning of our stay. The bed was comfortable.

The staff member who was present when I checked in was very pleasant despite the late hour. My room had massive shower issues. There was a handheld shower that also could be placed into the holder on the wall. The holder was broken so the shower head would slide down and flip around causing water to go all over the bathroom floor. It was a nightmare.

The couch and throw pillows were stained, the tub didnt drain, the in room phone and alarm clock were dead. I was charged a $60 early check in even though the room was ready.

Room was cleaned, issues with the shower being clogged and the pool was out of order all week.

We had to change rooms three times cause they were in disrepair in the first room there was a plug cover gone and the sink faucet was falling off the sink, in the second room, the drain cover was on the side of the drain and my kid needed to take a bath and it looked disgusting and rusted and we told the front desk and they had to call a manager to see what they could do about it and said it would take days for the maintenance man to come and fix it so they got us to switch rooms again and thankfully the 3rd room was fine I just wish it didn’t take three rooms to get to that point but the front desk was great about it

The pool had been out of use and we didn’t find out until check in. The pool was a big draw for booking as we have two young boys. Will not be back.

Bfast was ok, typical for small 2 star hotel. Would’ve loved the hard boiled eggs I saw mentioned but were no where to be seen or oatmeal or other healthier option. We booked here not expecting much but we’re definitely disappointed more then I expected with the pool broke, no apology, and some room issues and discomforts. Would def book elsewhere next time.

Our stay was really nice. The pool was a bit colder than I would have liked but still tolerable. We couldn’t get a late check out the next day because the hotel was fully booked and that was understandable. Breakfast was good I appreciated the eggs and sausage. Room was spacious and clean. The shower head was in need of some repair and the plate indicating temperature was put on wrong but does anyone pay attention to those anyways? Could use a vent in the bathroom, more of a courtesy to others that may be in the room when the door opens.

The hotel was nice, and we were even able to check in early, although we did have to pay extra for that. Overall, everything was good. The only issue we ran into was that the sheets and bedding were dirty when we arrived, but once we asked, they brought us clean ones right away, which we appreciated. The hotel itself could use a bit more updating, but it worked well for our stay since we were just there for a wedding. The only thing I wish the room had was a dresser—that was the only downside.

We tried the indoor pool but were a little surprised it wasn't heated. We would prefer to have liquid creamer for our coffee instead of powdered creamer. The water pressure in the shower was perfect and the beds and bedding were extremely comfortable.

Was an enjoyable stay. Came here for business and was ideal for what I needed. Some minor wear issues and some outlet items in the room did not work. Nothing major, however. Conveniently located near main roads and lots of dining options in the area. Properly was kept well and good breakfast options. Would stay here again.

We had a great stay! Service was fantastic, room was clean, and breakfast was great! We did have some issues with the TV, and the wifi was a bit slow but no real issues. We were on the ground floor, on the very far edge away from the other guests, and heard very little commotion. Check in was fast and easy!

I stayed a lot of places and stayed here 6 years ago they fixed it up and changed it a little for the better. In good area

This hotel was just fine for my family to stay a few nights in the area for the weekend. However, the elevators and certain parts of the facility were not cleaned very well. The continental breakfast had very few options. Additionally, there is a bar right next door that generates a lot of noise at night- so I don't recommend this place if you have children needing to sleep through the night. Even some of the guests were loud outside of our window, up late talking and laughing. We did report the noise and it lessened after about an hour. In general, it was fine for a weekend trip to be near our other family in the area. But I do not recommend for another stay due to cleanliness and noise.

Both garbage cans near front entrance were full and not emptied during our stay. Unsightly. But everything else was very clean.

Less than 15 minutes from Santa's Village

Next to a bad/loud restaurant, rookies. Granted it was Saturday night, but low class people kept making noise until well past 3am outside due to the adjacent parking lot. The sound of drunk chicks, police, and barking dogs persisted until the early morning on Sunday.

The staff are so helpful, anything you need help with they are there for you. Their customer service is 10 out of 10.

There was dirt on the walls. Very loud atmosphere. Beds were uncomfortable. The bedding for the pull out couch had to be given to us at the front desk. My pillow smelled like hair oil.

Brilliant staff and nice hotel

Housekeeping: I stayed for just two nights and requested housekeeping on the second day, but was told it wouldn’t be provided due to a “once-every-three-days” policy. I explained that I would be checking out before the third day and that this was not a long stay, but was still refused service. Ironically, the posted Choice Hotels policy clearly states that while rooms are cleaned every three days for extended stays, guests can request earlier service—yet this was denied. Towel Exchange: Since housekeeping wasn’t an option, I asked for fresh towels and soap. I was told I needed to “trade in” my used towels first. I complied, but despite having four people in the room, I was initially given only three towels. It took repeated requests and some back-and-forth before they finally provided a fourth towel. While the cleanliness and location met expectations, these internal policies and the way they were enforced detracted significantly from the overall experience. I hope management reconsiders how they implement brand standards.

The room was great and comfortable. Had a convenient room to take out dog out.

Facility seemed to be updated. I has several cracks in my walls includimg the shower. Sounds could be heard from both above and through the walls. When having breakfast I was told I could not take my dish to my room which i found a bit odd as this seems to be isolated to this comfort in and had to finish some work before my meeting.

Breakfast buffet was nice and had good variety. My room was nice and clean. A/c and water pressure were perfect. I would have given 5 stars but my room was missing some items when checking in. i didn't have shower curtain and phone was not even hooked up to phone jack (phone didn't work). This hotel was also in great location. restaurants, gas stations, and even starbucks within walking distance. i would definitely stay here again

The location is really handy. Easy to find and get around. Check in and out was easy. Staff was nice. Plenty of hot water. The mattresses were sloped. So you will roll to one side. We each turned the bed so the non warped side was side to sleep on. Ants. It tons of them but enough to be on me when woke up and enough to not want to tempt fate and keep a beverage by bedside table. Staff was kind when we gave them the heads up as we checked out. The breakfast places within walking distance are great.

Room was clean, extra linen on request, bathroom was clean, quiet, pool was clean. Continental Breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit, breads, etc every day. We felt safe and happy.

Overall we had a good stay. The building looked nice, the lobby was beautiful, and the room appeared to have been cleaned. The aesthetic updates to the hotel are nice (we’ve stayed here before). But the room wasn’t stocked for the pull-out couch, so I had to request bedding from the front desk. The bathroom was only stocked with 3 towels, which didn’t seem like enough for the size of the room (or our party). There was also hair in the shower.

Just meh. Little noise control, needs some updates.

The breakfast could be better. There could be more fruit, there was no bacon and the sausage was not very appealing. The coffee situation could have been better, it seemed to always be empty. Also the ice machine was out of order most of the time and the ice on the first floor was always gone. The price of the stay was a bit high.

The condition was fair but I had three not so great experiences. The Gym is very tiny with only one treadmill & one elliptical. The one treadmill was out of service, and the one elliptical was in deplorable shape. Issue two I have two small children ages 6 & 8, when I took them down to the pool there was a family in the pool it seemed to be a grandmother and her three teenaged boys & 2 teenaged girls. This pool is tiny so we couldn't "stay away from them" they were playing very rough throwing a tennis ball as hard as they could at each other and a few times they almost hit my kids with the ball.The grandmother didn't say a word to them they were also shoving each other into the pool running and jumping into the pool and the whole time not one hotel representative came to check on the area even though there is a camera in there I guess they didn't see a problem with this behavior. Last, I purchased a $20.00 throw blanket for my son at the S.V. amusement park. When I brought the luggage cart up to the room we noticed my son somehow had grease all over his hand and clothes, so we changed his clothes and washed him up "the clothes had to be thrown away" and we then figured out the grease was from the luggage cart wheels "they are entirely covered with grease on the inside" so my sons blanket was on the floor and got grease on it and then all over his new outfit and his hands. This cost me approximately. $50.00.

It was very clean and neat. But the tub's drain insert was sitting on the side of the tub. It looked unkept.

We were kept up all night by slamming doors of partying guests. We were assaulted with water guns by teenage guests upon reaching our floor after check in, and were kept in our room due to teenagers playing in the halls and destroying hotel property Exit signs. We left in the morning and there was debris and garbage all down the hall. Having stayed here before this stay was very unpleasant and surprising to say the least. Super 8 atmosphere for the price of a nice hotel. Will not be back. Staff did not do anything to accommodate others on that floor that were bothered.

The air quality inside the room was very poor. I am allergic to mold and AC unit inside the room must of had mold since it was making me sick. I asked manager to transfer me to another room but would not help. I ended up turning off the AC unit and opening the room's entry door to air-out the room.

I loved this hotel. So clean and new. I would definitely come back!

The room looks newly updated, but the new bathroom vanity leaves a lot of dead spaces on each side, and the outlet is a bit too far away when you try to look at yourself in the mirror while blowdrying your hair. There is also no hook or bar for the hand towel. The only lighting comes from the mirror and it's not bright enough in the bathroom. The whole roll of toilet paper falls off and rolls away every time you try to get some toilet paper. The bathrub also was really clogged. Two minutes into a shower, it turned into a bath. Other than that, the room was nice and the furniture looked new. The room was pretty clean.

The room itself was very nice. However, the entire time I was there, the TV and wifi both barely worked. I was there for a work trip, so the TV I could do without, but it was still very annoying, but the wifi being as bad as it was impacted my ability to work from the hotel room all 4 days I was there.

I would not recommend staying here. The door to my room did not close all the way and the safety latch area looked like it had been patched from someone trying to break into the room. The toilet paper holder was in a very strange spot in the bathroom. It also looked like a night table was missing from 1 side of the bed. Lastly, the beds mattress was not even secure on the bed frame. Overall just super unhappy with the whole experience

Someone keyed or scratched the drivers side of the vehicle we drove. We had a special handicap vehicle. There was no need or reason it was properly parked, marked, and in nobody’s way.

The room was clean but the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been, The swimming pool area was freezing in and out of the pool. I had a neighbor (this is out of your control) that went in and out of his room about every 20 min slamming the door both ways until about 2am then had someone pounding on his door at 4am, that was not a pleasant experience considering my daughter was there for a dance competition and needed her rest.

New facility with modern decor. Very neat and tidy. Very nice large pool. Would recommend to friends and family and would stay again.

From check in to check out it was a good experience. The staff was very kind and professional. Doesn’t hurt that it’s close to good food, the highway and more.
