Om Park Inn and Suites El Cajon near San Diego

Absolutely awful. We tried to check in and they claimed our booking was cancelled, even though expedia showed we still had it. They apparently we already full, so they did us a "favor" and showed us their disability accommodation room that they normally save for guests who need it. We walked in and it wreaked of cigarettes, the towels, sink, and tub were dirty, and there were stains on the bed. We walked out and found a new place. Don't waste your money here.

Unfortunately one of the worst experiences I’ve had, running upstairs and jumping all night till 1am. People outside making a ruck. Dirty towels, room was stuffy and ac took forever to level the temp but still stuffy. No blanket just thin sheet. The room had a bad smoke odor but front staff said they don’t smell anything but sprayed it. It was basically u get what u pay for and we just needed a bed and so it is what it is. Plus side there was parking and free WiFi, microwave, fridge and tv.

Except for the microwave in our room and the parking lot, the hotel is a gem! A driver has to be very good to maneuver in and out when the small parking lot is packed, but otherwise its comfortable. The microwave was difficult to work, but replacement was prompt, satisfied!

The tv reception was terrible. So trying to watch the NBA finals was a nightmare. One of our windows you could just open from the outside - the lock didn’t work or barely worked. The ice machine was suspect and sorely needs to be updated. It just wasn’t a good overall experience and highly recommend staying elsewhere

The owners are kind, but the place is not in the best shape, and there was no hot water in my shower.

Great staff. Very nice. Did find one cockroach in the room. And a few hairs on the bed, it is a bit noisy from the traffic being right off the main road. But other than that overall was a decent place for the affordability.

Well ran motel the rooms are clean and the price is cheap though Expedia. The maids clean everything every day. Maintenance man is very friendly and works and keeps everything in order. Thanks this hotel will always be my number 1 choice in El cajon California. Thanks 😊

Very clean room. Great staff. Air conditioning worked. Had a mount for hair dryer wasn't there. Need to ask front desk, they will give you one. Return during check out. Golden Corral across the street, Jack Box and Shell on the same side as lodge. Everyone very friendly.

The room smelled like smoke and the bed spread was filled with burn holes. I would have thought that should have been thrown out, not reused.

Staff was nice throughout the stay. My family and I had stayed for two nights and almost considered leaving after the first. While trying to get my mother registered for the room, a homeless woman said that she needed a key to "her room" and once she was asked for her room number she said she didn't know what room she was in. The staff then told us that she's said that multiple times and never has a reservation. The first night the dog in the room above us was barking ALL NIGHT, without any sign of stopping. On top of that, the police showed up because some man who was under the influence backed his truck into another persons truck and kept trying to back up, not realizing that he was hitting another car. Speaking of the parking lot, all the spots face the same direction, so once you pull into a spot, you have to back out almost to the road just to leave. That night genuinely scared my family and I, but we stayed both nights. The morning of checkout there was a homeless woman sitting by the entrance of the motel. I was told that she was showing her bare bottom to passing cars, standing in the street, and throwing construction cones at cars on the road. My mother did not feel comfortable staying there any longer and we left at 8:30 in the morning. As someone who's 5'6", the shower head had to be almost parallel to be somewhat useable and has 4 settings. normal, which will not hit you if you're over 5', pressure washer, pressure washer 2, and fire hose, the last 3 HURT.

I hope Expedia reads this review and gives me a refund.. I had to pay another $180 to stay at holiday inn. I also hope they take this hotel off there site as an option to stay, it’s not far to the people who are not familiar with the area to have to pay this money to stay at an unsafe hotel.

Clueless why I paid $300 for this room. Nowhere near the beach or in any desirable neighborhood.

Staff was using bug spray when we checked in. The made a copy of my driver's license- he stated that it is CA law. The room was 82 degrees when we walked in. There is a hole in the bathroom ceiling where a light used to be. The pictures and reviews on your website are misleading of what the property actually is. I will be calling you for a refund.

The manager was wonderful and very accommodating. 4 police cars showed up and entered a room near us at night. Freaked us out a bit. Not a nice area, but if this is where you need to be, then it is what it is. Crazy expensive for the location

Noisy during the night. They allow pets. We heard dogs barking most of the night. Shampoo bottle in shower was empty, I normally travel with my own products, but this was an emergency trip. Mattress and frame were sitting on metal box, frame stuck out too far. Hit my knees several times. They have security in the parking lot at night. Not sure if this is a positive or a negative. The area seems okay.

ISSUE 1) While I'm outside smoking a stranger walks up and offered me $5 to let him shower in my room, ugh, very scary. ISSUE 2) I'm a female who's checking in alone the room has 1 of the 2 windows BARRED. The window is in the bathroom, tiny, and on second floor FACING THE ROOF A EMPTY BUILDING. Should she feel safe? ISSUE 3) I paid $130 for 1 night on a Thursday and their credit card machine was down, I had to walk to the store around the corner. I saw it when I was dropped off. When I got back the hotel clerk asked if they had an ATM because he never knew. ISSUE 4) After I got off work I stopped at the front to ask for clean towels, when the maid brought them she started had me put them down outside the door. She started counting dirty towels 1 by 1, like she had an attitude because she had to do it. After she gave me only the clean ones that matched the dirty ones about how many towels I returned and how many she can give me.That was unnecessary and she was out of line. If it's such a big a deal for 1 towel then when I asked for a new set that should've been made clear. Now idk if this place is packed for holidays and/or weekends but I know it's expensive and they should make investments in things like a shampooer with detachable parts for the curtains; some toilet seats; get new windows. They tried to book me into a horrible hotel for the same price i was paying at a nicer hotel. Then when i got there the hotel charge me another $100 early check-in rate. Hotels.com did nothig to compensate me for their error. I will be checking the reviews to make sure mine was posted.

The room I was given has a smell of cigarette as soon as I entered which brought the experience really low. As well as the shower water pressure was low at all times.

I was rather disappointed that there was quite a few spiders in the room, and even baby spiders on the bed. Bed is comfortable, hot water was limited in the shower. Front desk service is very good, breakfast is reasonable. Neighborhood is reasonable. Distance to most San Diego attraction is 30 minutes away. Overall, an average hotel

My niece & her two young boys stayed in the room. They had stained sheets on the bed. They had to sleep on top of the covers with their own blankets. The shower was broken. They found blood on the dress handles. The coffee pot was dirty. The housekeeping didn't do a very good job at all in getting this room ready, if at all for the next guests. Then the police busted into their room looking for someone. Scared them extremely bad and it was hard for them to sleep well after that. Overall...a bad experience. I would not stay or send family to this hotel ever again. I would request a refund it was that bad.

I booked a non smoking room. And when I got there I was told only 1 room available and it was a smoking room. The curtains were broken one on and one hanging and people can see inside when they pass by.

This is a lower end place. I was bitten many times by bugs as I sat or laid on the bed. At checkout I left a little friend in a bottle at the front desk. The shower was tricky to use microwave turntable didn't work nor did many of the buttons. Thin walls with people trying to get in all times of the day

The location is pretty close to downtown El Cajon and had great food around the area! The hotel room was really clean and nice. The bed was beyond comfortable. The bathroom was clean.

Place was disgusting dirt and grime on hair dryer floors where nasty and the front lobby oh my god it smells so bad in there unfortunately for me you where the only hotel with vacancies I should have slept in my car

I always try and stay here whenever possible. The owners are so nice. They are very accommodating. I needed to check in early and they really worked hard to make that happen. I was able to get into my room early and relax. The place is always clean and smells clean upon walking into the room.

No hot water in my room. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Had to stand outside for the slow check in (at 6:30pm, office closed for the night), bars on all the windows, etc. Loud police activity just outside.

The beds do not come with bed spreads, only a sheet and thin cotton blanket. Breakfast is just honey buns, oatmeal, other hostess snacks

The toilet did not work properly, the room was not clean and smelled, the TV was messed up, the sign says HBO but there isn't, the one positive is there weren't bugs.

Inside the room there’s glitter glue on the bedskirts, marker on the blanket. There was dirt all over the bathroom walls. There’s a hole where the bathroom light is on the wall! There was no coffee to be made. Had creamer and sugar but no coffee! I will NEVER RENT OR RECOMMEND this place to anyone. This is by far the worst hotel that I have stayed at.

One night. Walked across street to Golden Corral for dinner and then a few cocktails at ‘The Grand’ bar next door.

It was a very good experience the customer service was exceptional the room was really clean outstanding the bed was so comfortable I really loved my stay have nothing but great things to say thank you to a staff there are exceptional

The room had cigarette smell. Soft drink marks on night stand. Toilet seat completely loose. No cover on one electric outlet. Only sweet roll for breakfast, bad coffee.

Reservations were not ready at check in time (3pm). Returned at 5 to check in, they gave me my key. Walked to my room to find that it still had not been cleaned, and had no bedding. Room also smelled 100% cig smoke, even though I asked for non smoking

Carpet was old and dirty. Room smelled less than fresh.

The hotel has water damage and it was raining and leaked in the room all night couldn't I sleep. Worst hotel I have ever stayed.

The shower had good water pressure. Property is very run down and note is a very good state of repair. Room was not clean, linens were old and tattered, unprinted whole repairs in walls and ceiling throughout. Parking and outdoor lighting were horrible.
