The staff was very friendly and the breakfast included both hot and cold items. Room was neat and clean.

The food was good, warm food was warm and cold food was cold. The Room was comfortable and clean. The pool was not heated and thus it was ice cube cold. Kids - liked the pool. Adults - we need to be pampered. The cushions that you sit on in the dining room need a good cleaning, as well as under the tables.

The carpet and floors were stained and the rooms smelled like stale cigarettes with perfume. You had to request towels and room cleaning or else they would not check the rooms smelled

Property was convenient, however, the In and Out next door made parking very difficult!

There was a hole in the ceiling and duct tape on the bathroom mirror. I probably wouldn’t have written a bad review for those two things, but the shower was not hot… the water was warm m/cool at best. When I told the front desk attendant she giggled and said she would tell maintenance. I would not stay there again.

We stayed for one night and had a relatively good experience. We did end up getting a ground-floor room, which ended up being very noisy. When booking, I did not know this hotel was in a commercial parking lot and was butted up to several restaurants like IN -N-OUT. Since there is a lot of foot traffic here, and me being a light sleeper, it wasn't the best experience. I will say, however, the bed was soooo comfy, and the pillows have been the best I've experienced recently. The room was clean and comfortable, A/C'd perfectly upon arrival, well decorated, and suited our needs perfectly. The showerhead had a drip, which was super noisy due to the metal drain right under it, but it's nothing a spare towel can't fix. The continental breakfast was good, including sausage patties, boiled eggs, a waffle bar, and a full oatmeal, bread, and cereal station. The only issue I had was that the boiled eggs were not peeled, and the other eggs were a cheese and egg omelet. Being lactose intolerant, I was a little disappointed in that. However, the rest of the food was pretty good. The staff was nice, the pool is mid (basically in the parking lot), workout room looked fine. All in all, I would stay here again but reguest a higher room than the floor level.

Check-in process with seamless. Front desk realized I was working from my room and upgraded me to a suite for more quietness. The property was clean. The room was clean. There was absolutely no noise in the room from adjoining rooms or from the outside parking lot.The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delightful. The location gets a bad rap, but I honestly had no issues at all while staying here. I found nothing I didn’t like!

The room was clean. The electrical outlets leave something to be desired, especially the ones next to the bed because they would not keep my wall charger in place to charge my phone. The shower door would not stay closed and would slide open a few inches for some reasons. There was an odor coming from the bathroom sink, the drain pipe might need to be cleaned. Breakfast was okay. The staff was friendly and positive.

Conveniently located and secure. I was in a non-smoking room and there was cigarette smoke coming in through the vents. I told the front desk staff and they said that it must’ve been coming in from the outside because I was on the first floor. I find that unacceptable to have to breathe in secondhand smoke when I’m staying in a non-smoking room. Also, when I went to wash my hair, there was no shampoo in the bottle. I had to keep pumping it to get just a little bit out. I also told the front desk staff about that. For the price I would expect to have everything stocked.

I did not like having to compete for parking with the burger traffic. A hot tub would have been nice

Loved it great place and breakfast

The staff was very nice and welcoming. This location is loud with the in and out burger right there and the line makes it hard to park. Also, I was on the 3rd floor and you could hear every motorcycle revving engines and the family above me sounded like they were doing acrobatics till midnight. I did let the front desk know and she supposedly let them know but it didn’t stop. I’m not happy about this stay and will not stay here again.

It was difficult with parking because the public who were not staying at the hotel would park in the hotels parking lot which left guests with no parking!!!! Also public leaving there trash everywhere after they eat the fast food they took the guest parking for….

Quiet and clean only draw back is In n Out burger is there and the drive-through backs up throughout the parking lot so it makes it kind of difficult to come back in the evening and get a parking spot because their cars are circling around to go to In-N-Out either to park or go through the drive-through other than that, the hotel is an excellent place to stay plenty of eateries around the area

Convenient to interstate. Property very dirty. Sofa, carpet, window blinds very dirty. Shower door fell off track, if my husband didn’t catch it when it fell on him it would have shattered. The In-N-Out restaurant is directly next door with drive through line preventing getting out of hotel parking place.

Sebastian, Emily, and Ana are incredible; Amazing and so kind hearted. My little children loved their stay. They truly go above and beyond to ensure our stay is excellent and very welcoming.

I only stay because it’s only property that is close to my family…..

Check-in was seamless, the rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were perfect. The breakfast was excellent. Eggs were fluffy and tasted great along with the bacon and bagel.

The rooms were dirty, toilets were not working, the shower head kept dripping the whole night. The hotel is located in a very busy shopping center and there is a lot transients that the hotel employees allow to use the hotel amenities. Didn’t feel safe.

Rooms were clean and location was perfect. Lots of restaurant options in the area. In n out is also next door, perfect for a late night snack!

The hotel was lovely. Staff were amazing. Super clean, great shower, nice outdoor spaces. Unfortunately, it shares a parking lot with a very busy In-n-Out drive through. I love In-n-Out, but the line was blocking all of the handicapped parking spaces for the hotel, which I needed, and people in line were...well, donkeys, for sake of censorship.

This hotel used to be a very nice hotel. A home away from home. After the passing of my oldest son, I would often just get a room to reflect relax a bit, and have some alone time to myself. Unfortunately the front desk personnel were very rude and racist towards me. The first incident the clerk did double checks on my creditals as if I was a criminal. Not knowing that I frequent this hotel often. When confronted she gaslighted me and told me she had to do what she was doing to everyone. The second incident was Anthor very rude and indifferent front clerk there was a dog barking right across from my room. I explained to her I was afraid of dogs and that I wanted to know his breed so that I would know how to deal with the dog I accidentally bumped into the owner walking the dog in the hallway. She rudely told me that if I heard the dog barking I could call the front desk and tell her. I asked her again she proceeded to tell me absolutely not and went on and on about the protection of the dog and its owner. When I explained to her I was also a patron and that she should also be attentive to my needs as well. She started saying I was attacking her and harnessing her. She threatened to call the manager and pointed to the cameras as if to intimidate me. Lastly, the room was horrendous. Chips were knocked all over the furniture. There was a semi huge chunk of the carpet missing right above the separation of the title to carpet and there was some kind of crack in the sink. Heat boken

Worse parking situation ever. And there is a In and Out Burger RIGHT next to one end, with the drive through letting out into the only available parking area. So the slobs get their food park in the hotel spots, then dump their trash in the parking lot. Not to mention the homeless encampment right next to where the cars park ( even more trash). The room was good, but make sure they don’t give you one on the first floor next to the parking lot, burger slobs partying outside your window.

Air conditioner didn’t work. Switched rooms and still didn’t work. I’d never stay at a Hampton Inn again.

Issues will HVAC system and breakfast is terrible.

1. The first room we were assigned was not properly cleaned (bathroom floor was not mopped), and the heat did not work. 2. We were moved to another room on day two, The room was clean, and the heat did work, BUT, we had to call the desk a couple of times because of the excessive noise coming from the room above us, The breakfast was excellent each day, the staff and service amazing, and I am pleased with the overall experience in g my stay

I was upgraded to a larger room for free because my reserved room wasn't ready. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Large shower with instant hot water. Room included microwave, fridge, and mini coffee machine, large TV and very comfortable bed. The only problem was the blackout curtain was missing from the largest window in the room. Because it faced a freeway, there were no bright lights to disrupt my sleep. Manager was very polite and helpful. An In-N-Out burger restaurant was right next door!

Pet friendly hotel wasn't that pet friendly. We were asking if we could take our Golden retriever out for a walk while they changed the sheets. Said housekeeping was scared to death of our dog, Our Golden retriever that is the most sweetest breed of dogs. Housekeepers need to be ok with a pet friendly hotel. We did have to pay extra for our pet.

The property was mostly clean. Our room had a number of issues. We could have asked for a different room, but since it was just a place to sleep they weren’t enough of an issue to move.

Easy access to everything we needed and the location was great. Very friendly atmosphere and clean.

All the staff went over and above what we have received from some other hotels. The breakfast each morning, which came with our reservation, was absolutely delicious and a great variety to choose from. The best part of breakfast was Anita - she was so helpful and friendly each morning - it made having breakfast there a wonderful experience! We highly recommend this hotel!

I do hope the elevator did eventually get fixed to go down to the 1st floor.

They did not make bed or change towels. I called the front desk to complain and they said they don't clean the room unless we request to do so. None told us such a rule and they said it is the rule after the COVID started. However, the COVID is no longer big issue and it won't make sense at all. It sounds it is only for saving cost at the hotel side. We liked Hampton Inn, but this time it was very bad experience and very much disappointed.

Disappointed that AC did not work but a stand-alone dehumidifier was installed that vented to the outside and gap around taped tube left room rather cool overnight. Toilet seat not secured. Microwave did not work. Shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty.

A very clean and comfortable hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. I stayed there three times and I’m always impressed with the staff.

No designated parking available if you have a trailer behind a pickup. The hotel staff was very accommodating in that they allowed me to take up as many spaces as I needed (probably 6) in the back of the hotel property for two nights. Thank you! That area had good security lighting. Outstanding breakfast and coffee.

This place was so nice. It seems very new and is in a great location for food and other services. The staff was nice and friendly. The breakfast is amazing. The facility is very modern with a great outdoor seating area and nice pool. The rooms are very clean and modern. The workout facility is very nice too. This is really a great location and I will definitely be staying here again.

The staff is super friendly, welcomed our furbaby too! Our room was great, nice and quiet. Continental breakfast was delicious! Will definitely recommend. We are local but had to move out for the weekend do to pipes being replaced, perfect stay. Price is super reasonable also. Thank you staff!

My only compliant was the bed was tall, had trouble getting in and out.

When I asked for a receipt at checkout, I was told the printer wasn’t working. Breakfast was mediocre, and the noise level at the hotel was very high. Parking was a nightmare, mostly because of the In-N-Out restaurant in the same plaza. To top it off, three days later, I found that I had been charged multiple times for my stay. The shower was awful, with almost no water pressure, and it took at least 10 minutes for the hot water to come through. The only positive I can mention is that the location was convenient. But overall, my experience was far below what I expected from a Hampton Inn.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location though was close to the freeway (noise) and there were a few homeless people around (unsafe). The room was okay, but the bathroom door was a little unusual. Also, the shower door kept opening leaving the floor in the bathroom wet. And one of the lamps was missing the bulb.

Their morning staff very unfriendly. I asked for wipe to clean the highchair very poor attitude and she brought a dirty cloth from the kitchen. It was just nasty. Also, i booked for 4 ppl one family i had to keep calling asking for towels , blanket ,pillow and no one to deliver we have to ge get them from the dront. Very poor quality

Too noisy and unsafe

There’s a lot of noise from upstairs room on top of me I told the front desk they don’t do anything I ask for full clean they just did the bed the area not good at all to many homeless in front and the back of the hotel

I traveled all week for work and stayed in a different hotel every night from Tuesday the 6th through Thursday the 8th arriving at the Hampton Inn and Suites on Thursday evening. I booked a king but not a suite. That night I had to change to a room with two queens as the room they gave me had ants around the bed. The double queen they changed me to had a mysterious chunky stain on the window shade and both sliding door panels for the shower would stay shut leaving me to have to shut the bathroom door so I wouldn’t freeze and also leaving the floor alarmingly wet. Thankfully, I was able to change the next day from the double queen and was upgraded to a suite which was really nice. The only problem with the suite is that one of the shades didn’t work at all and so wouldn’t close. I befriended a fellow guest who came to my room and actually fixed it as there wasn’t going to be any maintenance available until the morning. The hotel needs attention, badly. The staff are amazing though, they weee incredibly accommodating, empathetic to my issues and willing to make it right to the best of their ability. Also, my view was a homeless encampment and we had a homeless person threaten us with a wrench while we sat at the bonfire pit.

Clean hotel & breakfast was good!! The only downside was difficult parking because. in-n-out burgers is next to it. However, parking is free which is good in my book!!!

We get in the room I we find two portable air conditioner and then we call desk front and girl said ooh some room has air conditioner but the one you have is what it is? We pay for comfortable time but it was a disaster.

This hotel is a great addition to the El Cajon, Santee area. Staff were helpful and courteous. Breakfast was extensive with a great selection. Coffee is always hot and fresh. We will be staying there again if in the area. Many choices to eat within walking distance. Our room looked over a garden, the garden department at Home Depot. Could have been worse. Parking is the only complaint. Limited spaces for a property this size.

We’ll stay again. The only drawback was parking and getting in and out of the lot. The In and Out burger restaurant had cones and people across the lot. Hotel was great!
