Nice clean hotel with an excellent location to the Magnolia Theatre (just across the street). Our Expedia conformation showed check-in time to be 3:00PM. Upon arrival at 2:50PM I was told our room wouldn't be ready until 4:00PM check-in time. I showed her my conformation email and was then able to check-in at 3:25. There is a bar in the lobby which would have been nice to wait in, but it doesn't open until 5:00PM. We were disappointed that there is not a complimentary breakfast at this Marriott. My husband and I are retired and travel alot and always book hotels with a light breakfast. For that reason, we will stay at another hotel in the area next time.

The proper was well maintained and close to everything. Nothing more than 10 - 15 min drive. The room was clean and updated. The only issue was the shower. The water pressure was a not that good. But over all I would recommend on stay here. It was worth the price.

The hotel experience was amazing. The room was extremely clean extremely well kept. The heated pool and heated. Jacuzzi were amazing. Definitely will be staying there again with my family when we go back to San Diego.

No fan in bathroom… and bathroom door was heavy and needed a prop to get airflow

All of the staff was very friendly and helpful, but it was frustrating that the espresso machine was not working during our stay, the Starbucks was out of oatmeal on Saturday and then our TV did not work on Sunday and I could not call the front desk to get help because the phone wouldn’t work.

The hotel is very well maintained and cleaned; the pool is heated, the beds are completely; however, the only thing why it was not a 5 star hotel was the sofa bed mattress really needs an update; is not usable very worn out.

Everything! The location is right next door to a police station that made me feel safe. The lobby was immaculate and quiet. It had a nice ambiance. The rooms were nice and clean and very spacious! I will definitely book here again N/a

We were given handicap room..not sure why. The door bell for this room rang at all hours of the day and night by itself. It was not fixed. Also, we had bigger room and I had to convince several time that this room was missing a floor lamp, which put 1/2 the room in total darkness. Finally, the maintenance man rectified this extreme problem

Very clean hotel lobby, and room.

At check-in, the staff member assisting me failed to inform me that a key card was required to activate the lights in the room. I was only provided with one key card, which caused unnecessary confusion and inconvenience. While waiting in the lobby, I noticed it felt unusually warm, which led me to believe the air conditioning was not working. This was later confirmed when I overheard staff members discussing that the lobby AC had been out of service for approximately two weeks. Additionally, I had purchased food and stored it in the mini fridge provided in the room; however, the fridge was not functioning, resulting in my food spoiling. The cleanliness of the bathroom was also below expectations. There was visible hair left in the shower from previous guests, and the bathroom floors were noticeably stained. I will say that the beds were clean and comfortable, which I did appreciate. However, the overall experience fell short due to the issues mentioned above and was not worth the amount of money spent. I hope these concerns can be addressed to improve future guest experiences. Sincerely, Erica Aguilera

This hotel and staff were amazing! They made me feel safe while traveling alone. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were great at the restaurant on site. 20 mins to the airport. Front desk staff member Megan and bartender Tamara were amazing! Great people and a great environment! First time in Cali and flew across country from NJ and I’ll definitely be back again. I felt very safe and the rooms were immaculate. What a wonderful experience! We were greeted immediately by the receptionist who was courteous and efficient. She answered our questions and gave us information about the property. Our room was clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was great - the evening margarita pizza was perfect - the fries and the drinks delicious also . The cooking staff - cleaning Staff - and the front staff were ALL exceptional- I stay at many places first time I say ALL exceptional!!! I was staying at the Sheraton every month or two but this is going to be my new home when visiting San Diego ! The staff couldn’t have been better ! Hmmmm - next time I’ll try different food but for now I don’t think anything could be better

Very disappointing experience. The service was not good and the facility was not clean. I spoke directly with the manager to address my concerns, but he was dismissive and showed no care at all. Poor management and lack of professionalism made this visit frustrating.

The staff at reception are so nice and helpful . When the room service comes to clean the room they don't vacuum the floor I stay there for 19 days maybe the vacuum my just 3 times.

Bar was closed due to an event. You'd think your customers staying at the hotel would be as important as the profit you're getting from the event. Very hard to get out of the queen beds if you had two people in each bed...so close to tge ac unit and room divider. Strong sewer smell in the closet, slightly less smell from the bathroom. Loved the convenience of the lobby cafe/bar. Great location to stay after a concert at the Magnolia. On performance nights at The Magnolia concert venue, the lobby bar should stay open another hour, particularly on a Friday or Saturday night.

On arrival, the Check in staff was friendly, kind and professional. Very sweet to us. After arriving back to the Hotel after from the Commitment service, the young man at the desk was very accommodating to let us check out earlier and return home. I couldn’t have asked for a better caring staff at this time. I was also upgraded to a larger room for what reason I do not know.

The air conditioner noise was awful, even when turned off, the unit made noise all night. Had to put a pillow over my ears. The pull out sofa bed was awful for my daughter! The springs showed through. We had to put the sofa cushions on top of the bed for some relief, but they keep on separating all night. :( Not a pleasant experience!!

The property was extremely clean and not on a busy street. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. My son left his stuffed toy in our room and they made every effort to locate it. I highly recommend!

The pillows were very soft and did not offer any support. The bedspread is white(a no,no) and felt very stiff and plasticky. The parking spots are very narrow and are difficult to park a midsized SUV in them. The staff was nice and the overall hotel is good, but after 6 nights, the pullows and bedspread made it very uncomfortable. There was no actual blanket in the room.

While the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating, the overall experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, my room did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned. I found leftover yogurt in the fridge from a previous guest, the toilet was not properly cleaned, and there was a used razor still in the shower. Additionally, I experienced noise disturbances throughout the night from the guests above me. Despite calling the front desk for assistance, the issue was not resolved, leading to a restless night. When I attempted to call the front desk about the cleanliness concerns, my room phone was not working, though they did replace it upon request. Given my past positive experiences with Courtyard Marriott, I was surprised by the lack of attention to cleanliness and guest comfort at this location. I hope management takes steps to improve these issues, as this experience has made me reconsider staying at this particular property in the future.

Elevators broken a couple of times had to use stairs, ask for Towel refresh after 1st day, we didnt get it.

Hotel itself and the room were nice. Elevators were down the day I checked in, but fixed the following day.

Really friendly front desk and cafe staff. Clean, up to date rooms. Fitness center has a good selection of equipment. Nice places to walk in the morning.

It is a good hotel but our room smelled like sewage and we reported it to the front desk and they sent maintenance while we were gone and nothing was done it still smelled horrible. This happened the last time we stayed there and also the air conditioning didn't work the last time. But this time it worked great.
