Nasty needs cleaning

This property was poorly maintained and dirty. The hotel had a funky smell and the room smelled even worse. To say it is dated would be an understatement. It’s more dilapidated I would never recommend anyone to stay here.

The staff was very friendly and I have to say, that is the only thing positive about the facility.

All in all the room was pleasantly surprising it was clean and spacious the inside of the hotel itself was pretty good no strong stinch of weed however the outside could use some tlc but we would stay there again.

The room was not clean and the hotel itself was rather sketchy. The staff I interacted with were friendly though but I would not recommend staying here.

Location was good, just off of I-95. It is next to some restaurants that is very convenient. It has a pool that we didn't have time to try out, but it looked clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Place was clean. The breakfast could have been better, however it is literally next to Denny's and the Waffle house, where you can have the best breakfast very affordable.

Hotel was willing to credit our account. We did not stay! The was dirty. Chocolate ice cream jimmies were in the night stand and floor. Stains on the bed. Food on side of refrigerator. Walls were dirty.

Nothing, I would never stay there again!! Stains on sheets and bedspread, stains on the wall that could have been wiped away by the cleaning staff. The inside of the draws need replaced and cleaning. They were dirty. Halls needed to be vacuum. No milk available for the breakfast cereal

I would not stay here again. The first room we were given smelled of smoke. The gentleman at the front was very accommodating and gave us another room. The bathroom was very dated, soaps and shampoo were tossed in a corner, and there were nails coming out of the wall where there should have been a towel holder. The toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall. The furniture was beyond worn out. The hallway had carpet that had not been vacuumed and the hallway walls had holes and need to be painted. The elevator floor was very dirty. We opted not to eat breakfast there, and went to Denny’s instead. I would not stay here again.

brake fast was terrible, first of all the tables wasn't very clean, there were no milk for the cereal ,there were no eggs no sausage.

The staff was rude and when I requested creamer for the coffee during the breakfast time the staff refused. I also requested towels because housekeeping never cleaned room. I took the garbage out myself and was told by staff that we had the do not disturb sign on - which was a lie. The do not disturb sign layed on dresser the entire time. Then when I asked for towels they refused to give me any!!!!!!!!!!! We had to go to my sons to take a shower because we did not have towels!!!!!!!

Building needs to be remodel , is falling apart . Breakfast was horrible . I would never stay there again .

Bedding was dirty and disguisting. Had to ask for replacements and make the beds ourselves. Clearly beds are not chaged after guests leave. Smoking also allowed in rooms as our entire floor and room smelled like marijuana. Would not recommend.

Not as expected. Very out dated more like a motel. Will not book again and don’t recommend. Although staff was very kind and respectful but again the inside of the building, hallways and room was NOT up to date and VERY creepy. Giving a motel vibe. The outside of the building is well kept which is deceiving. Inside needs a lot of work.

Spent two nights there recently and both nights there was a lot of noise in the hallway and coming from a room next door. Even called down to the front desk after being woken up several times by noise from a neighboring room but it still continued through the night. While the nights were noisy the rooms were decent.

They didn't have a working elevator which was a huge problem.Because I have a broken leg. They only had one Waffle iron in the morning, and they had people standing there, making up to 10 waffles. At a time, sending them up to their rooms and they ran out of Waffle. Batter, and it was just a corey runs situations.It looked like a hotel in baltimore where people lived, as opposed to a hotel where people go to stay and have a nice little weekend.

I booked online when i arrived at location i was told there was no rooms available.

Given these conditions, I do not feel the stay met acceptable standards.

There was blood on the bathroom floor and hair on the toilet seat wasn’t clean like it should be at all. The pool wasn’t open either and I really wanted to swim, I was very disappointed in both of those aspects everything else was fine.

This hotel is filthy floors are funky and they charge you a deposit and they keep it don't go here it's nasty it's nothing like online you get catfished

Place is very dirty the carpets are very dirty, you can se it is not vacuum, the floor even in the room feels dirty and I stood in two different rooms this week and both were filthy. Wouldn’t recommend. The food was bad like bad bad like how you mess up a bagel. Breakfast has 0 eggs or any source of protein. I stood here about 10 years ago and no again this week and god what a disappointment.

Absolutely nothing. My daughter had a cheer competition, we weren’t checking in until about 8. They tried to charge my card for a no show at 7pm. My daughter got sick in the middle of the night and threw up in her sleep. I asked for a new sheet and blanket. They refused, until I reminded them I paid to be there and my kid still needed to sleep. They argued with me some more. It wasn’t until I cussed them out at 1:30am that I had stuff for my daughter to go back to sleep. We had gone right to he’d so we also didn’t notice how disgusting the room was. The pool was gross my kids were in it maybe 10 minutes and the bathroom was so nasty they wouldn’t even walk into it. Lastly I always strip down the beds, there was PEE stains on both beds. I complained to the desk and they told me it was cleaning solution. They didn’t want to offer any solution to all these problems but tell me to call corporate, then they gave me a business card with their direct phone number. I went back to the desk and asked for cooperated number and told them to stop treating people like they are stupid, the manager said some things to me, I asked for a receipt I wasnt given at check in and the manager wasnt saying nice things to me at that moment, I said some things back. He then grabs the phone and calls the cops on me because i said the “f” word. At that point I had decided it wasn’t worth it because my kids were with me (in the car with their dad) and on my way out, without a copy of my receipt, and without corporate’s number the MANAGER called me an “eeffing beetch”

Terrible service. Terrible rooms. All around bad. I told the front desk I was unhappy with the rooms. I agreed to stay the night and pay for the night but refund my other 2 nights. They denied my refund after I left the state. The owners son was a complete piece of work. He told me none of what was going on was his problem. They refused to give me any names of people working but the day shift told me not much will be done about the owners son because well. It’s the owners son. Thanks WINGATE. After driving 10 hours from Ohio to visit family this is the experience I wasn’t looking forward too. I had booked Thursday to Sunday and only stayed Thursday. They took all my money

The hotel room was renovated at some point, but the furniture was broken, the bed was not very comfortable and the hallways were very dated and had a bad odor to them. The breakfast area is very basic with not a lot of selection and we passed on eating there.

Our stay at the accommodation was primarily for the purpose of finding a place to sleep. Upon arrival, we noticed that the rooms were somewhat smaller than what was depicted in the online photographs. This discrepancy affected our initial expectations regarding the space available during our stay. There was a mix-up during check-in, which caused some inconvenience at the beginning of our visit. Commensurately, this issue has yet to be resolved. I would rate my stay as average.

Hope they have variants of breakfast each day. Otherwise, the rest is good.

The property was fine but it was obvious that it had definitely seen better days. The breakfast was very simple. Everything was mediocre but for the price I was charged, it matched the value.

Every morning, the breakfast area was well attended & clean with fresh basics available; bagels,bread for toasting, a selection of yogurts, dry cereal & 2% Milk, a waffle maker, pre-packaged sausage,egg muffin & Blueberrie muffins. We also enjoyed a fresh apple & peanut butter,coffee & juice every morning! We found the bedding to be comfortable & clean as well as the room! We didn't spend enough time there to use the pool or gym but they also appeared to be well cared for! The rooms had lots of kids for a local tourament, but all was quiet by 10 pm. We appreciated the value of our three night stay and will considered booking here again, so, yes, we recommend you try staying here! All the worker-bees were very nice! Actually, they might consider taking a cleaner to those gold chairs on the second floor! Please put a sign on the second floor telling you that the ice machine is on the first floor.

There was a waffle maker, bagels, toast, cereal, and breakfast sandwiches. Staff very polite, but didn't provide new towels on 2nd day. Heater leaked water but was never cleaned up, hairdryer was dirty, shower had pubic hair on showerr walls.

We recently stayed at this hotel to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with a sleepover, and overall, it was a memorable experience. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, which made it perfect for a group of excited girls celebrating together. The beds were cozy, and there was enough space for them to enjoy games, laughter, and all the fun that comes with a birthday night. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, which made check-in smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciated the positive environment, especially when managing a group of children. The hotel’s atmosphere felt safe and family-friendly, which was very important to me as a parent. Everything was well-maintained, and we were able to enjoy the night without any major issues. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to ensure bathroom door is able to closed. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for family stays and small celebrations, and my daughter had a wonderful birthday experience—which means everything! We were not able to close the bathroom door.

The room looked like it was okay but once in there I began to see ants. ALOT of ants were there in the bed on the floor in the sink area. I was okay with there being no bathe door being I was alone in the room but I was weird. The shower had warm water only no hot water to my shower. I tried late at night and early morning and it was still the same with the Luke warm water

For the price, you really cant beat this place. $50 on a Friday night. Thats a steal. Clean place, close to the freeway, and walking distance to food. Add a pool, and yes, i definitely will stay again when im back in that part of Maryland. The front deck people were very friendly as well.

The internet wouldn’t work for my fire stick. The refrigerator was leaking water inside. The heating unit started leaking water. I had to place a towel under it. There were pieces of hair found in the bathroom. The property just looked vacant to me.

Breakfast bar was good. Bathroom very cramped with very little counter space for toiletries. No recliners or lounge chair available for the disabled who cannot lay on a flat bed. Also, the hotel only has a kingsize bed available in the disabled rooms, no double beds.

Room was neglected. We got in at 7:50 and no one came to the front desk until almost 8:10…. Room was not cleaned, shower was disgusting with a broken shower head, and toilet was never cleaned either.

GOOD - clean rooms, very courteous staff, good breakfast. We requested a handicapped accessible unit and were pleased with the accommodations. No carpeting, which made it easy to maneuver. I use a walker, but for wheelchair users, there is plenty of room to move around. Roll in shower with easily accessible fuxtures. We had a suite with separate bedroom and laundry bing area with full size sleeper sofa.

The hotel room was clean, but the hotel smelled like weed. The bathroom towel holder was fixed with PVC pipe and there was hardly any water pressure. It was an interesting stay. The staff was nice and respectful, but I don’t think we would stay here again.

My son and I had a peaceful and calm stay. We got lots of sleep before our day of Lacrosse and driving.

The place needs a good deep cleaning. The room was pretty dirty especially the floors. Common areas were not the cleanest either. Even the elevator was dirty.Good enough for a quick stay and if you just need a place to sleep and shower.

Lastly they called to let me know I left my iPad. This was greatly appreciated.

So everything was about what one would expect from a budget motel of this type. The staff was friendly which was good and the room was clean. Those are the main things. The breakfast was what one would expect from this level of motel. My two issues were the treadmill in the fitness center was broken and the pool wasn't nasty but there were some dead bugs in it.

The Hotel is very nice and the staff very friendly. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom shower was not very clean. There was mold in the corners and the shower head didn't have very much pressure.

Staff was great and made up for the uncleanliness in some areas. Fouton sofa bed has dirty sheets, phone had no cord, drawers fell open all night.

My son liked the fact of the inside pool, but hated that breakfast was cut off so early. I got out by people with toddler kids so early in am getting woken up to kids crying & people yelling in the hallway.

The room was large and spacious, the bed was comfortable. The exterior of the property was very rough and could use some updating. My children enjoyed the pool, it was clean.

Everything was uniquely broken and unclean.

The property is run down. The smoke detector in the room was missing from the ceiling with wires hanging, there was a hole in the wall of the bathroom, the elevator call button on the elevator was busted out. Instead of deep clean the entire property is drenched with a toxic smelling cleaner or disinfectant causing burning to our throats and eyes the next morning. I don’t know how this property has passed inspection and is still operating. We took pictures of the damage to the property and plan to contact corporate office. There were many more issues but bottom line this was very disappointing to see and stay here

We liked that they had brand named yogurt for breakfast, instead of the crappy yogurt at La Quinta and Quality. Also, this place was very clean, and we liked their "no pets" policy. The only draw back was the queen size room. It was way too small.

The service in this hotel was fine… people were super nice. But the whole building was dirty, smelled, and needed to be updated. I was thankful for the laundry room, as we were there for a sweaty lacrosse tournament.

Entire property is under what looks like a slow renovation. Breakfast was really bad. Hotel and Travelocity should make it clear that this propery is being renovated.

The hotel is in the process of being renovated which is fine/normal. If you're looking a decent place to stay, that's how I'd rate this. The room is acceptable in that it was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The shower was not hot but it was hot enough and water pressure was acceptable. The included breakfast had no hot food, just prepackaged grab-n-go type fair with the exception that you could make your own waffels. So again, minimally acceptable but not good. This hotel is very easily accessible from the interstate but it was not cheap at $133. I noted several other hotels in the area at twice this price so by relative pricing it was good, but next time I'll prefer a different area. I'd typically expect to pay around $100 for this room and stay experience.

Great hotel

Homeless man sleeping in the parking lot, loud kids running in halls, furniture stained and sleeper sofa not usable (literally wouldn’t lay flat), truckload of people smoking dope in the parking lot, could see dust covering furniture, bathroom lacking basic supplies, dirty linens, unadvertised renovations taking place had everywhere smelling of mold and paint. Could not have been more disgusting.

I stayed for 2 nights, on check out day it is 11:03 am and the housekeeper is knocking on the door very hard telling us it’s check out time and we have to leave, it was literally 11:03…. 3 minutes past the check out time we were on our way out anyways. That was very rude and uncalled for.

It was completely misrepresented and I paid extra thinking. I would have a very nice trip. It probably was the worst breakfast I’ve ever experienced. The bathroom had a sliding door. and was tiny completely misrepresented. The actual building smelled like someone had been cooking and there was just repair. The halls were discolored on the walls. There was no water. There was no coffee maker. The actual room was OK yet. Also misrepresented in pictures.

Staff were respectful and cordial

Hotel is under construction so appearance outside of the room was not fantastic. But overall clean and good stay.

Hallways stunk of many different odors, the side entry door away from office would not close entirely so anyone could walk in. Hotel room door would not close unless pulled very hard. Room was clean but paint peeling in bathroom around switches.

Check in was great, front desk clerk was very friendly. Air conditioning in room was turned completely off so room eas excessively hot. Took almost all night to cool down. Would not stay again.

I like the place and I love it, quiet. They should update the TVs because what are we in a more advanced generation and everything they give is old. And they should give better breakfast. I love the clean, super hot pool.

Had a decent stay. The beds were nice and the people working the font desk were nice. The bathroom was the size of a closet and where i was looking forward to a ni e long bath because i only have showers in my rental i had a shower in my bathroom that was barely big enough for my husband to fit in. Took the kids down to the pool and there were bugs and clumps of hir floating in it and it was freezing. My kids did say that when they had gone down earlier with my husband it was clean. I know they were doing some work on the hotel as it looked like it had just been bought out by Wyndham as the old sign was still out front. I definitely couldnt complain about the location we had a gas station right out front and a dennys and waffle house in walking distance along with a small strip building that had a donut shop and smoke shop in it. It was also 20 mins from the book con venue that i was there for and only 7 min from cracker barrel and several other restaurants. Definitely a decent place to stay if you are in town for Read The Rainbow book signing.

Second time staying in this hotel and I appreciate that they are upgrading their rooms. The room I stayed in this time was one of the upgraded rooms and this time it was hardwood floors instead of carpet. It seems like this property is under new management and they are working on making upgrades. It is quiet and the staff is very friendly. It is in a very convenient location and I will be going back again.

It is not the Ritz Carlton, but it is a great place to stay after a long ride, walking around DC, or doing anything in the area. The room was great, very spacious. I had a family of seven and we weren't on top of each other. The beds were very comfortable, and clean. The staff was very helpful and nice. They are under construction to make the place even better. My only issue and I didn't even bring it up, was the water pressure in the shower. I had to put it on the jet setting to feel like I was actually rinsing the soap off my body and hair. Otherwise everything was great for the price and it was a awesome stay.

This is remodeled hotel we believe the previous hotel was smoking so it does have a smell of faint cigarettes and air freshener the current hotel is non smoking....overall for price it served its purpose of needing a place for night

This hotel is currently under renovations and upgrades. Everything except the entrance is old and smells

The smell in the hallways was terrible. The pool was closed and remodeling was going on - though we never actually saw anyone working on the hotel- boxes were strewn about in every cranny. I don't know if there had been something sprayed to mask the smell of something else, but it was overwhelming and actually gave me a headache. The sad thing is, this could be a nice hotel.

Overall a nice place to stay, but the owners could improve the appearance by just picking up the litter on the property grounds.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. Our room was dirty with what appeared to be acne healing patches all over the floor, there was also some weird mysterious substance\possible body fluid on the bed skirt and there was a strong body odor in the bedroom area. Our door was broke between the suites and the bathroom door was a slide out that did not go all the way to the floor\lack of privacy. Our room was also missing furniture (kitchenette table and chairs). With Wyndham's name being attached and the cost, the expectation was set. I do not recommend this hotel. It appears that this is a recently purchased property(sign to Sleep Inn still exists on property as well). Just a terrible.

The outer doors and hall walls on the 2nd floor leading to our room were scraped and dirty. The room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and cups and the air blew well. The lighting throughout the room was nice and bright. The sheets were clean but the bed only came with 3 flat pillows. The carpet throughout the building including the room were filthy so I was sure not to walk without shoes. Children or people were running the halls and letting doors slam from 9am until the early morning hours after 1am. Unfortunately, the room phone did not have a dial tone nor did it work to call the front desk or anyone.

Room dirty, common areas dirty. Stains on furniture, ben linens. At check in was told remodeling is currently being done and that I may hear hammering. Stayed in the room no more than 10 minutes and left. Was told I would be refunded one night not 2 after being told I'd receive one but had to contacted expedia being that I booked through them. Room was paid for prior to checking in but I was still charged using my credit card on file. Waiting on both a refund for 1 day paid through affirm and the additional charge taking from my bank using my card on file.

Hotel staff were nice, my room was clean, but property needs to be repainted and updated. Has nit been well maintained. I understand they’re remodeling 3rd floor rooms now.

The property and especially the staffs are excellent. Breakfast is continental and shops are few in the area.

The staff was friendly. The hotel itself looks a bit rundown, though it is currently going through renovations. I certainly hope that my room wasn't renovated yet because there was lots to be desired. The walls were dirty in several places, fixtures not flush with their mounting surface (e.g., hanging from the ceiling or protruding from the wall), furniture falling apart, and what appeared to be mold around the shower.

The property was in construction mode but our room was in great shape. The breakfast left a little to be desired. Needed some more variety. Other than that the overall experience there was good.

The hotel is dated, but they are in the process of renovating.

Very comfortable

There was a power outage and I was never able to check in. I waited in my cold car for hours to have to leave and go to another hotel(that was not my first or second choice). I understand the power outage was not their fault but I wish they would have told me they would refund my trip earlier instead of waiting in a cold car for hours and having swollen legs. I tried to book the hotel today for the same rate I got last night and it was not granted. That’s the least they could do.

I did not get to stay at the hotel because I was having car problems and was not able to get there and was still charged so I am highly upset cuz I spoke with the hotel people as well as hotels.com and was not able to get any resolution

I was surprised that a Wingate wasnt updated. The rooms and front desk area are in need of new paint. There was some type of odor throughout the hotel. My 11 even asked if people were smoking because it just smelled weird. The lock on our room needs replaced.

It was fine for what I needed.

Older hotel and kind of run down. Seemed clean. Comfy bed. Pool was broken. Shower but no tub.
