But sadly the property, staff and rooms have gone down hill. Obvious / gross food stains on carpet in room. Both TVs did not work and needs cables or cords reconnected. Staff at front desk did not have the Code for the room key maker so I had to wait for the magic code. By themselves not life & death stuff but taken together, disappointing and will lead us to look elsewhere

The bartender wasn't friendly and told us we couldn't redeem for a complimentary glass of wine since it was 6:40p. The faucet in my bathroom barely had any water come out. The staff wouldn't give me a couple of bottles of water and said I only get a bottle of water at check in. Other Hilton hotels overall seem more customer friendly than this one.

Overall a good experience, staff was helpful and friendly. What really iced the cake were the MTO omelets. I'm a big breakfast guy at hotels, definitely would recommend.

Stay was great . One person was amazing. Her name was Amanda. She not only handled the bar by herself, she took your meal order and delivered it to your table while still caring for the twenty or more customers at the bar ,all this with a smile and pleasant manner . You are truly fortunate to have such an employee ,

Rooms were nice and clean as was the inside of the hotel. Also the breakfast was excellent and the kitchen staff were very friendly and helpful, this is the second time I have stayed at the hotel and highly recommend.

We liked the size of the room, free parking, the managers special happy hour was a nice touch, along with the included breakfast. Would have liked to try to cooked to order egg station but were in a time crunch. Ambiance was nice, bartenders were great! Wish the beds were a little more comfortable but otherwise a nice stay!

Very pretty hotel and friendly staff. The breakfast was great! We got a room with a sofa bed. The couch had completley ripped cushions, when I opened the sofa bed to put the sheets on the protector that was on there was covered in hair, and crumbs it was filthy. We did not even let our daughter sleep in in it. We all had to sleep in the king size bed. I was very upset as we paid for that type of room because of the extra bed. it was very disappointing. I did tell the front desk and got no response . That is also frustrating.

No air conditioning. rooms were very hot first couple of nights. Window wouldn’t open to outside and no maintenance available to fix the window. They did not clean our room the 3 days we were there even though they seemed to be cleaning rooms around us. Staff were friendly but seemed to be understaffed. Definitely not up to the same standard as other embassy suites

To start, I had a staff member walk into my room while I was unclothed. There was no knock—she simply entered, which was completely unacceptable and a serious violation of privacy. We were also not provided with basic necessities like towels. The room itself was not properly cleaned. I ended up having to disinfect surfaces myself—wiping down countertops, the sofa, and even the remote controls. To make matters worse, we found an empty Pepsi bottle hidden behind the couch cushions. The room had no functioning A/C, despite it being 80 degrees outside—and inside as well. The only “accommodation” offered was a small tabletop fan, which was inadequate. The bathtub was clogged, forcing me to remove the drain cover myself just to get the water to go down. Several outlets were loose and felt unsafe. We requested to be moved to another room, but due to local events, we were told nothing else was available. Other hotels in the area were also fully booked, leaving us stuck in these conditions. Overall, this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I could go on, but I will let the photos speak for themselves. Very dissatisfied.

Parking was very easy. Staff exceptional!! Hotel slightly needed repair in room nothing big tho. Dinner was great 2 free drinks with managers reception in evening. Would stay again!

No rooms ready at check in time. Then, no a/c because the building was still in heat mode. Service recovery= open a window. Room 82 degrees. Every major hotel I’ve ever stayed at can do heat or cooling as needed anytime. Not sure why this modern hotel can not in 2026. On the flipside, the breakfast was first class and made up for the hot and humid night.

For being a “higher”end hotel. A lot of “quick fixes” were made in the room we stayed in. Cosmetically the room needs work.

I was also a bit bummed the hotel mgt did not have a drink coupon option if one missed the evening manager reception time by a few minutes. We would have appreciated the cocktail after our 3 hour drive upon arrival. Apparently this is against their policy 😳 the beverage coupon would have made a difference in our experience and review rating.

One of the elevators was down during check out time unfortunately. In regards to the swimming pool shower head was broken & requires to be fixed. Very limited towels available and also, the pool area in general was very cold.

The property was gorgeous the staff was friendly and they had a great restaurant bar area. The only thing I didn’t like was both nights I stayed, there were children running and screaming up and down all the halls/floors of the hotel and bc of the layout it was echoing throughout the whole place. I had to get up early Saturday morning and tried to see if there was anything the front desk could do but they said they couldn’t do anything until after 10 pm.

The breakfast selection was great I appreciated the omelet station. The room was perfect, actually larger than I anticipated. I did check-in via the app and that was seamless, I did wish there was a simpler way to share the room key if someone didn't have the app, other than that miniscule detail, everything was great!

The property desperately needs updates. The window locks do not work, there are not even screens on the windows, I had to change rooms twice. There are light cords stretching across the corner of the room, the lamp was hanging off the edge as if it didn’t even go there. The shower in my 3rd room did not get hot, in fact turning the knob to the hottest temp actually meant freezing cold. I learned that the turning it half way is slightly better than freezing so I took cold showers all week. To top it off, I tried to get a spoon from the front desk who then sent me to the bar and she tried to charge me $2 for a utensil after leaving me standing there for over 5 minutes waiting for her to acknowledge me.

The property and staff during the daytime were great. At night time the front desk attendant or management was extremely racist to my family from out of town. Many of whom this was their first time visiting Syracuse and it put a bad taste in their mouth and my mouth. We had a sheriff harass us on behalf of the management team saying we were making too much noise. This was not true. We had two kids that were quietly playing uno with adults and the elders of my family sitting talking to each other. I was told upon arrival that we could use the area for my family to congregate and spend time with each other after our family function which was my mother’s retirement party.

This is an older Embassy Suites. The drapes were broken, did not close completely. The HVAC was loud. I won't stay at this particular Embassy Suites, again.

Great stay for SU family weekend- could use another elevator, ran out of clean forks at breakfast and shower head/pressure not great but otherwise great!

I was questioned why i was gettin 4 sunny side eggs for breakfast and was told that a case is now $120 plus the glas where its been served has about 1/4of an inch of dust which no one seems to care about.

The bathroom had a leaking toilet tank, with the garbage can placed under it to catch the dripping water. The shampoo and body wash dispensers that should have been attached to the wall were missing, leaving visible gunk where they used to be. There was dust and dirt in the bathroom crevices, buildup around the wet bar sink, and even white stains on the decorative pillows on the couch. The extra bedding provided for the pullout couch didn’t smell fresh and was missing pieces. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable, which made for a poor night’s sleep. We also went down for breakfast before closing time. There were still many guests eating, and while the back-of-house staff were friendly and cheerful, the front-of-house staff were the opposite. Rude and impatient. We were told multiple times to hurry up because breakfast was almost over, and we watched them rush other guests as well. At one point, a staff member even told a guest it wasn’t her fault the guest had “slept in.” It was very clear they just wanted to wrap up and leave, which left a bad impression. Overall, while the common areas gave a good first impression, the condition and cleanliness of the actual room, combined with the unpleasant breakfast experience, made the stay disappointing and not one we’d recommend.

Our suite was like a tomb; dark, quiet, private. Which was perfect because my daughter had a migraine. I didnt hear elevators, doors slamming, people talking in hall, yelling, running upstairs. Just silence. Room was clean. Breakfast was great. Tons of options. Sausage was cold, but everything else was great! Elevator was quick. Check in/out was pleasant. I already recommended it to a friend.

The rooms are well appointed for longer term stays- microwave, small fridge, sitting area. The bedroom door was awkwardly placed and there was no hair dryer in the room. There also were no luggage carts during check in and the staff said they had 6 but didn’t know where they were. Wasn’t offered anything for diamond status as well. No free water in the room. There was free breakfast - standard Hilton breakfast. Overall just ok. Also there was a police officer on site at night and next morning which we weren’t sure why that was the case.

The hotel, itself, is very nice and clear. The room was spacious, and it was great they offered free parking and a free breakfast, which is rare these days. I also really appreciated the offer of a free drink at the bar. It was a very comfy room/bed and the noise from outside the room was minimal.

This hotel is definitely not up to that standard. Layout was nice and you could see it was nice once. Current state it is run down, not well maintained and not clean. Our room had dirty floors, food on the couch and lots of stained cushions. The sofa bed was probably the worst I've seen in terms of the mattress. Table and counter tops were dirty. Lots of disrepair in the bathroom and with the windows. Even the cute spaces in the common areas were very dirty and stained. Proximity to the highway was nice but it was very loud on that side.

Wow! The rooms are filthy. The lobby and check in area is super clean lulling you into a false sense of security. The rooms are filthy and not just in it was not cleaned so well before your check-in but in a way where it has been missed for the past 5 years. Cleaning must consist of just grabbing garbage bags and remaking the bed because there is no wiping down of surfaces, no vacuuming, no sweeping or mopping. The food, dead bugs, mold and grime on the carpet and tiles is terrifying and the ceiling water damage and suspicious smells give you the heebie jeebies. If you have stayed in an embassy suites in say Glendale CA or San Diego CA you would think you’d be getting the same level of service and standards, you’d be severely wrong. Thr property and cleanliness of guest rooms is atrocious but the front desk reps and breakfast buffet staff were amazing. I feel bad having to lump them in with this honest review of the rooms. I wish I could upload pictures to warn everyone away!

This is our second time staying in this hotel. Our overall experience was good there were a few things that could be improved on. We checked in with 2 adults, unfortunately we had only one towel, one hand towel and one washcloth. Our sheets did not fit our bed. They were too small. They fit the head of the bed but not the foot of the bed. We also found the use of the indoor pool was very inconvenient. Over all a good experience. We would stay here again.

Some people at the desk incredibly nice and helpful. Some less so. Female bartender definitely in the latter. Found a couple dirty towels in the (half-broken) compartment underneath the sink.

From the time of check in already making you regret the reservation, on my daughter birthday all she wanted was to go to this hotel , after we arrive with all the mini decorations to sing her decent happy birthday and the cake the receptionist made it horrible from the time we arrive attesting , you can’t do this you can’t do that not even allowing my family to help me bring sour stuff into the room , very disrespectful ironically laughing in our face , the only reason I ended up staying was so my daughter had her night at a hotel as she wished but I was ready to leave the place and never come back

Excellent stay. I had been there years ago and clearly the renovations that they have done have brought it up several notches. Absolutely perfect experience. We had a late arrival and they were very accommodating. Sunday breakfast was excellent! Something for everyone.

This hotel is like a hiden and secret. All the other hotels next to this are nothing compared to embassy. We had a great stay and a wonderful breakfast. Even the staff were friendly and helpful!!

Rooms are large and updated but it definitely wasn’t clean. It was also really noisy as the rooms are all in a giant square with the doors facing the lounge and restaurant/bar area on the first floor- so it was echoing the loud drunk people in the lounge late into the night. Breakfast was good and enjoyed the omelette made in front of you. The staff was friendly. I don’t think I would stay again though because of the lack of cleanliness of the room.

4 star on outside property only because there was construction in the parking lot which ate up parking spaces and if your a lite sleeper one side of the hotel is right up against the freeway which I found to be loud and hard to tune out. (I’m a country girl so I wasn’t used to the noise) 4 starts on condition of facility - communal area was great and beautifully maintained, over all rooms were great size, clean and had all amenities. Minor issues - beside light was broken, bathroom door didn’t latch closed properly.

We booked last minute as we were passing through the area. We were very pleasantly surprised to see we had booked at such a superior hotel. The building, rooms and amenities are all great! Very clean! Breakfast was fantastic! We had an issue with our room at first and with an extra charge on our account. Both issues were handled promptly and staff were very friendly! Highly recommend this hotel!

Ask to stay on the side of the hotel that does not face the thruway if you want quiet. The staff put us in a room near the elevator and on the thruway side despite low occupancy. Very odd.
