Air conditioner didn't work in the first room. Got switched. Both didn't have chairs to sit on nor refrigerators

This was probably the worst motel I have ever stayed in. I asked Expedia for a refund.

Honestly I came into this knowing that this was a no frills experience. Your basic needs met; a bed, bathroom and there was a fridge and TV. Nothing extra and didn’t expect it either. Staff was very friendly and did their best with the situation they are given as well. I have no complaints what so ever.

Location was adequate Just about everything. No cups or drinking vessels in the room. Room was non-smoking but the whole floor and the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke. No hair dryer in the room. Request for hair dryer was begrudgingly honored. Cockroaches in the room. This property should not be on Booking.com's website as a viable option. It is substandard at best.

Upon arrival the foyer smelled heavily of smoke/skunk/marijuana. There was a floor dryer in the lobby with towels on the floor. Phones had no receivers. The ceiling and wall was crumbling in some areas. The hallways smelled heavily of ramen or lipton chicken noodle soup and were missing half the carpet showing the cement underneath. The room lacked any updates, the toilet was running aggressively with water bubbling in the bowl with the toilet seat up and a large yellow/brown stain on the floor. The window was streaked with thick brownish yellow mud? and the place just felt unclean. The place sadly needs help.

I had to wait at least 10 minutes to get checked in and when I went to check out I waited so long for someone to come to the desk that I went back to the room. I had a hard time finding my room and the heat was so loud I could not sleep.
- 1/5
Booked through hotels.com rooms show non smoking but when I checked in I was told the hotel required a $50 hold for non smoking rooms and $0 hold for smoking rooms. You would think for the smoking rooms they hold the $50 for damage and cleaning fees but no. I was kicked off the property. I walk 2hrs to work due to no public transportation in the area I work in so I leave early to get to work on time faithfully. When I came back, I was told to pay$20 for a late fee and return the room key so I couldn’t get my belongings until the late fee was paid. My parents tried their best to send me the $20 but couldn’t find a way to get it to me in time so I was asked to leave the premises. I explained to the owner what happened and he accused me of wanting the room for $20. I told him I wanted to extend my stay but everything I said was twisted around. I was being talked to like a kid and was disrespected. Once I defended my self by speaking up that’s when I was told to leave and never come back. My parents were on the phone listening to everything but what can they do.

I stayed here for Syracuse University’s Homecoming weekend. The hotel isn’t newly renovated, but it was clean and quiet enough for a quick stay. Nothing fancy, but it served its purpose as a simple, no-frills place to sleep between events. If you’re just looking for somewhere to rest your head while enjoying the weekend festivities, it does the job.
- 1/5
Dirty floors, spots on every rug, toilet kept running then wouldn't flush. I had to use the room next door. My bed had lots of hair in it. I slept on top of the covers. Homeless ppl live there which makes it unsafe. I love they give space but it's many strange ppl walking around like zombies.
- 1/5
This is a cheap hotel won't ever have any future endeavors to update their facilities. It's always full of people that are questionable. They don't serve breakfast, but they set up old coffee, the staff is very questionable. I won't stay anymore due to the stains on all the rugs and tiles.
- 3/5
It's clear this hotel hasn’t been properly maintained in quite some time. The hallway rugs were visibly stained, the bedroom walls showed signs of water damage, the curtains were worn and overdue for replacement, and the pillows were flat and uncomfortable.
- 1/5
Room was gross; there was blood splatter on the walls and I informed the front desk they didn’t clean anything instead asked when I checked out. Towels had a musk to them. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone just spend the extra 10 dollars a night and go somewhere cleaner where they actually care about the appearance of their hotel
- 4/5
Was convenient and inexpensive for my basic needs, and close enough to Syracuse University events. Only needed a place to sleep that was close by, given I was away most of the day.
- 2/5
The facility was very worn. Carpets in hallway were filthy. Despite the advertising on their home website and on the hotels.com listing there was no breakfast at all. Front desk person said they never provided breakfast. This false advertising really bothers me.

Terrible. Could not understand the staff, room was in disrepair, halls were not clean and had stains and rips in the carpet. Room... Burn marks in bedding, doors broken, window had no screen and lock was broken. Property wasn't maintained, grass overgrown, bushes overgrown. Didn't seem like anything had been mowed or trimmed all year.

Exactly what I needed: inexpensive with no amwmities so i coukd check in at 11pm, sleep, get up at 730am, shower eat go. That is: no need to pay for features and amenities I'll never use. Don't, however, recommend or take anyone to this place if you want to impress them. It ain"t tgat kind of a place. Small room, single queen bed, only one outlet was convenient to a flat surface. Oddly cold summer night (50s) but heater/airconditioner unit wouldnt work. Turns out the filters were so caked with dust that air couldn't pass thru. Rinsed them myself: after that the unit was a beast. Windowseat cushion stained. All rugs in entire facility stained, including steps to 2nd floor, both staircases. Cinstruction at end of one hall appears to have been halted a false temporary wall and mismatched door installed, and just left like that. The area was meticulously cleaned, but still... Like I said, don't take someone here who you want to impress. Good thing i was travelling alone and didnt care about anything but shower/sleep/shower leave. Perfect for that. Check-in was blissfully easy as well. Clerk efficient and helpful. In spite of above negatives, if again on the road and just need to sleep and shower and go, I"d stay here again. But clean the fiters at LEAST monthly. Oh and fix the lights above the windowseat, they didn't work. I didnt care, but the next person might.

They say you get what you pay for and this modestly priced hotel is a proof of that. I was made to wait 10 minutes for someone to retrieve a front desk clerk to check in. The property was poorly maintained and in a state of disrepair due to why they referred to as “ongoing renovations.” The interior was filthy with a nauseating smell of cigarette smoke and mildew throughout.

- 3/5
As soon as I walked in I could smell cigarettes and weed despite there being no smoking and no vaping signs everywhere. The room we stayed in was very small. The individual at the front desk was nice, didn’t say much but checked us in and out without any problems. I understand the hotel was also going under renovations (good thing given the hotel is outdated cosmetically speaking) but having exposed wires hanging from the ceiling can’t be safe. I’m thankful we only stayed the one night; if it was going to be anything longer I probably would have thought about leaving early due to the smell.

Well....interesting little place with a promising future. Presently remodeling. Very outdated and in need of lots of TLC, but you get what you pay for. Staff very nice and helpful to ensure issues were addressed. Shower was good. TV was good. Bed for old school spring mattress didn't give me a backache thank goodness. Not enough pillows and no blanket on beds; just the old school bed spread that no one uses. Resident living here but all pleasant. We had a good experience considering its old but great for overnight sleeping after a Metallica concert. 😀
- 1/5
As soon as you enter the lobby you’ll know you made a mistake booking a room here. The lobby is a mess. The room smelled terrible as soon as I walked in. The mattress was absolutely horrible, the pillows were completely flat. The pillow cases had stains on them and the blanket had a cigarette hole and what looked like blood stains on it, Iwent to the front desk and had to get new ones. The TV didn't work and when I complained about that, I was told that most of the TV's didn't work. Spend a few more dollars and go somewhere else!

About what I expected. You get what you pay for, as the saying goes, and this hotel fits that description. I was looking for a cheap hotel for a quick overnight stay and chose Americas Best Value Inn ES after reading the reviews. Have no idea how people could leave a 10/10 review for this place, but there were a few. More like a 5/10 in my opinion, but OK for the $61 price I paid. Just looking for a comfortable bed and a hot shower, and I got both. No fridge or microwave in room 140, entire room in much need of repair/renovation, carpet worn and dirty, missing electrical outlet cover plates, no hangers, but sheets and towels appeared clean. Upon arrival, desk clerk informed me there would be a $200 security deposit refundable upon departure, so be prepared. Also, from the second I walked in the door the entire facility reeked of weed and the smell eventually worked it’s way into my room. It was so bad that a guy I met in the hall commented that it was so bad that he thought he was at a concert. I responded “Yeah, Grateful Dead or Phish?” I got a good night’s sleep and a hot shower, but don’t expect what you would get from a $150/night hotel. Maybe Trump can make Americas Best Value great again!

This is my favorite motel in the area. I enjoy every time I stay there. I travel every weekend for business and this is a very pleasurable stay.

This place was crack city I left didn't stay rooms where disgusting and I asked for my money back and they wouldn't give it to me
- 3/5
I enjoy staying at this hotel for the sheer fact of affordability and convenience of the thruway so close.
- 5/5
Price was great. Had the best nights sleep ever at a hotel. Mattress was sooooo comfortable. Highly recommend.
- 1/5
The tv didn’t work at all and it took almost a hours for the staff to come and fix it. The only door you could get into was the main door so I had to walk all the way around the building to get to my room. Will NEVER stay here again.
- 2/5
Was not the room I chose. Asked for 2 beds, got one. Bathroom sink was detaching from wall, toilet "screamed" when flushed.
- 4/5
It was basic but get what you pay for. Overall not bad very quiet bed was comfy. Not the cleanest place but I think they are trying.

It is inexpensive but the photos are misleading, and the room smells of cigarettes.

I should have known that if get what you pay for. I’m not a clean freak, but that was unhealthy. I didn’t even sleep under the sheets. Used my own pillow and cover.
- 1/5
Rooms were damaged. No refrigerators or microwaves. Lumpy, hard mattress. Furniture and furnishings were stained. Curtains not hanging properly.
- 2/5
I was put in the first room from the lobby. It was next to the maintenance room, across from the laundry room, and everyone going in or out had to pass by the room. Just about every time I went out and came back, I had to get the keycard reactivated (they must’ve thought I was one of the hourly guests). That, of course, was more inconvenient for the staff than for me. The HVAC unit filter hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. It looked like sweater. The mattress covers were like felt, and full of cigarette burn holes. On the plus side, I didn’t get bit by anything, nothing got into any open food, and the cleaning staff was pleasant.
- 3/5
A very nice staff and ready to help you with your accommodations with a smile. I don’t expect anything less than a clean room and safe environment. This place has it all.
- 2/5
I made a reservation based on Expedia's recommendation, but all three rooms were not 2-star level, but low-quality motel level. There was no refrigerator, lamp, coffee cup, etc., and the toilet was broken. I was even more disappointed than they recommended. It's a place I never want to go to again. I hope Expedia is careful about recommending hotels.
- 3/5
I have no problem staying at this place they are clean and safe.
- 2/5
Where to begin…. Initially, I booked this hotel through your website and it stated that I coukd pay at the property. All good and great. Check in was at 2pm or later. It’s 2:30p on the day of our check-in and I get a phone call asking for a different credit card as he tried to bill my card before we even got to the property let alone check in. That’s not what pay-at-the-property means. That’s fist. So I call back and give him my new card info as he told me that he’d give away our room if I didn’t. Again, not kosher. We finally get there and get up to the room, this is where it god bad. The window seat was very old and stained and didn’t look very sanitary. No elevator and we are on the second floor. The bed was a literally rock and felt like we were sleeping directly on the box spring. The pillows were a joke. They were so flat you couldn’t even tell they were there. Not microwave. No mini fridge… Not even a crappy coffee maker. The bathroom door didn’t close without serious effort. The toilet seat felt like you were on a roller coaster ride the way it slid INCHES back and forth. Had to hold onto the sink so I wouldn’t fall off. The neighbors either next to us were doing whatever they were doing in the bathroom and it sounded like a Niagara Falls every time the water was turned on. Over. And over. And over. The shower curtain was nice but not installed correctly so one side fell open so the whole world could see you and the cold air could come in. The vending machine prices.

The website says they offer a continental breakfast, but they do NOT have one. I asked the manager about a breakfast place, and he pointed me to Ruby Tuesday. They don’t serve breakfast.
- 3/5
Nice staff and willing to help out if needed.
- 4/5
Great value! Wanted something affordable, not luxurious. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Also enjoyed the free coffee in the morning. Only critique was that they could have had better pillows and blankets. Its worth it to bring your own.

Inexpensive. Conveniently located near I90. Needs a renovation

Felt the springs in the bed only 1 pillow on the bed the toilet made whistling noises all night the tv only got the news channel

I don’t like it in there it’s not clean

Property smells like cigarettes BAD! Curtains were falling off the windows in our room. Carpet throughout property was stained. Kid at the front desk was very nice. This place is a total dump. I cant believe I paid $160 to stay there. Sad...
- 3/5
The room I had was clean and safe and that's all I was looking for. I chose this property for its price. I didn't expect the hotel Hershey at this location. The property however is absolutely dilapidated. There were signs suggesting it's under renovation but from reviews I have read those signs have been up for a long time. The staff was as accommodating as they could be. Take your own pillows if you're traveling by car. There's are absolutely flat. Rooms are tiny but I did not need much space I was traveling alone
- 2/5
It’s in poor condition, my TV didn’t work, they didn’t service the room & I was there 2 days, ice machine on 2nd floor only, it smelled like skunk stink in the lobby and for $125/night taxes was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in 20 years of travel. On a scale of 1-5, I give it a 1
- 2/5
Room was old…old stained carpet, cracked porcelain sink, old mattress, thin pillows, hallway had old carpet that smelled stale. Was under impression breakfast was available and all there was was coffee. Very disappointed
- 4/5
24 hour check in, close to the airport.
- 4/5
Good value and a good night's sleep
- 2/5
The carpet was wet, the rooms do not look like any of the pictures. I had to ring the bell twice to get any kind of attention to check in and check out. For the price, it was absolutely a waste of money to be able to use a hard bed and two flat pillows for the night
- 5/5
A Knife too it and was marked up pretty bad
- 3/5
My stay was just for a quick week. Answer I can rest I work nearby. I couldn't drive home and I didn't want to fall asleep on the road. So I decided to get a room so I can get back to work. With no issues, the place is going under repairs. I do understhen but. It could be done better

- 2/5
The room was nasty with stained furniture. The air conditioning barely blew any air. The wash cloth had dead bugs stuck to it.
- 1/5
There was excessive mold in the room, the doors didn't lock properly, allowing anyone to come inside, there was a water bug in the tub and a fly in the bed area. The mattress had brownish stains on it. The rooms and hallways also smelled like cigarette smoke. The vending machine was overpriced and the front desk gentleman refused refunds if the machine took your money and didn't give you anything. The front desk guy also refused to give us towels, wash cloths, and fresh linen for our rooms.

I was coming back from Florida and I was running a race for this weekend and staying over night in Buffalo next week, so i didnt want to go all out spending on a hotel. But, i never felt more uncomfortable and grossed out by a hotel, it reeked of smoke and the carpet was gross.
- 2/5
Unclean worn out noisy spent three nights no housekeeping services
- 3/5
The room was clean asked for a second pillow but they said they won’t give out a second pillow which I thought was strange
- 4/5
It was cheap and the front desk person was friendly. The room was basic but clean and comfortable for my overnight i need in the spare of a moment. I would use again. Dont go in expecting the Marriott.
- 3/5
Very dated property. Only coffee offered in the morning, not even a continental breakfast.
- 3/5
I had a pleasant stay and would recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay.
- 3/5
Had to go to the desk for towels at nighttime. Trash cans were not dump daily.
- 4/5
However, pillows are pretty flat without flexibility. Wi-Fi is slow. If you stay more than 1 day, you have to request more shampoo packs. Soap packs are only good for 2 days. It's my second time staying in this inn. I will continue to use this inn when I travel to upstate New York.
- 2/5
Way out of date, no room service, you have to ask if you want room serviced, you'd think you have a coffee machine in the room!
- 1/5
This property needs an awful lot of work. Doors slamming, people fighting in the hall. Did not feel safe at all. No sleep after a 6 hour drive. You get what you pay for.
