Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites East Peoria by IHG

I appreciated how clean the rooms were. And the staff was courteous. That I had to pay $15 a person for breakfast. After I paid $219 for a room. I also feel like the pool shouldn't close at 10:00 p.m. on a Friday or Saturday night. I feel like 11:00 p.m. would be a little more appropriate seeing how it's a weekend.

Rooms were clean. Only one of our junior king suites had a sofa sleeper. The other had chairs in it. This wasn't a problem for us, but also wasn't really what I booked. The pool was excellent. Clean, large, and kid friendly. My only complaint is that it doesnt open until 9a and they're kind of strict about it. They let us in 10 minutes early one day. We are morning swimmers and then want to get going with our day.

The lady doing the breakfast was discriminating to black patrons for their breakfast tickets.

Don't get me wrong it's a nice hotel but $15 for breakfast that you KNOW is gonna be a C+ at best and when I already paid $200+ is craaaaaazy. Like idk get a grip :/ Also what is it with these hotels never turning the mini fridge on anymore? Just a straight humidity box in a cabinet. All the psuedo-oppulance and I can't even keep my drinks cold?

The thermostat was clicking all night and all morning and kept me awake. There was also a loud banging sound that was going in all morning. I could not sleep.

As with most hotels, when they see you booked with a third party, they stick you in the furtherest room away from the front desk, highest floor, end of the hall. The suite was less space than what the internet indicated, although there were no pictures of the seating area anywhere on the net. The separate tv room had 2 older style chairs that were less than comfortable. I asked if I could pay for an upgrade to a room with at least a couch, they said since we booked on Expedia, they could not upgrade us, even if we paid. The property was very nice, but is showing signs of wear and tear. Hotel staff was nice but not willing to facilitate any upgrade. The breakfast was descent. Overall. Our stay would have probably been better with a nicer room.

My air conditioning wasn’t working and they immediately came up and fixed it. Really nice hotel! Overall quality, staff, amenities exceeded expectations.

This was my first time in East Peoria and this hotel provided a great location. It was also very clean.

Room was exactly what we requested. Great Bed & Bath. Very modern. Staff were excellent. from Check in - to Check out. Breakfast - however - was a BIT PRICY, it was Buffet, however, you picked out your items, taken to your table, and a staff person took your payment. $14.95+tax. For 'self serve' and buffet not sure it had to be that expensive.

Everything except the guy at the front desk and housekeeping only changed my towels once. Had to ask for towels. Room didn't get cleaned my entire stay there. I finally got towels my last day after I said I was gonna call corporate. Housekeeping

The staff for the hotel and restaurant made the experience a great experience.

Room was too hot at arrival- had to call Maintenance. Temp fluctuated. Restaurant was convenient, good food but slow service. Prepaid for breakfast- could have been good but no entrees available- staff said someone had called in sick and they “were doing the best they can.” Still beat typical continental type breakfast of most hotels. Clean room, comfortable. Good location. Not sure if I would stay here again.

The location was close to many things (places to eat, stores, the conference center). I like that there was a bar/restaurant in your hotel. The gym was a great size! We wish the staff were a little warmer.

The property was beautiful and spotless. I stayed 3 nights and on my last day I had jewelry go missing off the night stand. I know I shouldn’t have left it out. Hard lesson learned.

The room was clean and comfortable. We were looking forward to the hot tub but it was not in working order and the pool looked to have a little tooich chlorine in it to want to get in. Overall good stay.

My family and I stayed here for my daughter's cheer competition. The booking info stated free breakfast. However when we arrived we were told breakfast was 12.95 person. The booking price changed by $30 and when I asked for the difference to be applied I was told of I'm sorry that can't be changed. The stay overall was average. Would I recommended this hotel? For the price and my experience no I would not.

The gym and pool was amazing , The evening lady at the customer service desk was very helpful and kind , I wasn’t happy that the room didn’t have a microwave and the refrigerator needed defrosted it had a lot of ice inside the back of the fridge .

The mother of the deceased child’s mother, sister-in-law, and infant grandchild were locked out of their room. Despite the urgency, no one was able to assist in regaining access, as the manager could not reach maintenance. By the next morning, the room was still inaccessible, leaving the grandmother unable to retrieve her clothing and, more critically, her medications. This delay prevented the family from preparing in time for the funeral service scheduled that morning. The situation escalated to the point where both the fire department and police were called. The fire officials determined the issue was caused by a faulty bolt, and the fire department had to force the door open. Even after this ordeal, the manager, Lee, stated that the guest would still be charged for the room—despite the fact that it was not usable for the duration of their stay. There was additional concerns.. but, this experience was deeply disappointing since this brand promotes family, value, comfort and hospitality.

Everything was exceptional. Only downside was we weren’t told what time breakfast hours were. We checked in late and I didn’t think to ask so we actually paid for breakfast but missed it. It ended at 9 and we came down at 9:20.

In town for work and did a 2 night stay. As expected food and drinks in hotel restaurant were over priced but there are plenty of places nearby and the area felt safe to walk around. Overall good location and solid place to stay. Would recommend it to others.

Great clean hotel with a steak house onsite. Stayed here on Valentine's day weekend. Staff was very accommodating and answered all my questions. I enjoyed having the option to get dressed for dinner and being able to walk downstairs to enjoy dinner reservations at Johnny's Steakhouse without having to hassle with the snow and freezing temperatures outside. I would stay here again when Im in town.

This property is nice and clean with the option of different rooms to accommodate your needs. I enjoyed my week stay housekeeping stops by everyday and always checks to see if you need anything. But, if you miss them the front desk staff is quick to accommodate your needs as well. Great hotel and staff. I recommend this hotel for long or short stays if you are in East Peoria.

Booked our stay here by accident, was going for HIExpress. The hotel was lovely, but we weren't here on leisure and the breakfast was $13. I'd rather pay more and have the meal included. We were only here for 1 night, so not long enough to appreciate any amenities. Convenient location.

The hotel itself is lovely and front desk staff were excellent. However there were issues with rooms being too hot. The thermostats did not work properly. I had to get another room and I saw another guest ask for another room as well, as both rooms were at 80 degrees with no way to change the temperature. The second room I got was slightly better but still too warm at 75 degrees, again with no way to change or regulate it. That was the only flaw in the stay. Otherwise the room was clean, quiet and very comfortable.

We reserved two rooms for family coming town for a funeral. There were issues with both rooms including not functioning thermostat and no hot water. We have stayed at this property before and were very disappointed this time.

I saw the hotel staging construction equipment in their parking lot, but I'm not sure where the construction was taking place.

The Italian restaurant is AMAZING. Breakfast was a let down, not that many options and pretty expensive. Better off going out for breakfast. Room was clean, but shower was not pleasant because of very high water pressure.

Overall it was an ok stay ...the bed was uncomfortable, but ok for 1 night and didnt get a chance to enjoy the pool to much...think there was a kids party going on.

Pool was nice. Kind of dirty the first day but clean the second day. The hot tub was out of service. It took 10 minutes of running the shower to get any warm water then was never really hot. The mattress in the pullout couch was so thin t our kids couldn’t sleep on it. All the springs poked at them. They weee able to sleep in the couch though rather than the pullout mattress.

The a/c wouldn’t allow us to turn it down and we asked and they said there was a cap on how low it could be. It was beyond hot in the room and could barely sleep, wouldn’t allow us to switch rooms since I didn’t book directly with the hotel.

We had a good stay. The hotel lobby is very impressive. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located close to shopping and the highway, so it's very conveniently located. Overall my room was okay but the bed was not as comfy as I'm used to at an IHG and the housekeeping did not come to our room after we requested it and it was confirmed it would happen. We left for the day and came back to an unclean room. I called the front desk and they were very accommodating and brought up some extra towels but the extra towels were a bit dingy. When housekeeping came the following day they left some used bedding in a corner of the room and did not leave extra towels but did leave a note saying to reuse our towels. There was no complimentary water as I am used to in IHG hotels. I do recall upon check in the gentleman at the front desk inform me that this particular IHG was considered a boutique IHG. Not sure if this has anything to do with the services but I think it's worth mentioning. The undersides of the cushion on the sofa sleeper also had some minimal staining.

It was very loud due to a wedding party. We were in the 6 th floor and can heard the music from the 1st floor party room, not very good sound proof. Also we had someone vaping in our floor and not a good smell. We waited to see if they would stop but after 30 min it kept going strong. We ask if we could change rooms and we had no problem.

The stay was great for my Holy Ghost Party. The suite was big enough for all of us to fellowship eat and to pray and speak the word ...this is a room to purchase for comfort for stay .

I was so excited to stay at this location, but I probably won’t be back. Once we got to our room I needed to use the restroom. When I lifted the seat I was greeted with a turd from either the previous person in the room, or the cleaning staff since I know they didn’t clean the room. There was crumbs all over the floor, tape and marks all over the walls, caked on fingerprints and smears on all the windows, mirrors, and doors. Stains on the floors and chairs, even food stains on the bedspread (luckily I always bring my own blanket). The lobby was beautiful, and we loved the room. Just wish it was cleaner.

Hotel is beautiful! Rooms were quiet and comfortable. We even had a chance to check out the pool. However, i did find someones sock that was not ours in the room. Thats my only complaint.

But I paid for a king suite and the fridge was leaking water on everything inside and the AC did not make the room cool enough even on the coldest setting. The bed was also too firm and caused back pain.

WASN'T EXPECTING TO HAVE TO PAY FOR BREAKFAST BUFFET. All other hotels on this trip had a free breakfast buffet, and many of them were better than this one. Wait staff was excellent.

The inside lobby area is beautiful and Johnnys Italian Restaurant on site is great. We were disappointed that there wasn’t room service or complimentary breakfast. The hotel is right beside a large shopping area with many stores and places to eat.

Everything was PERFECT!!! NICK IS THE BEST!!! My boyfriend and I was there for the comedy show. He made us feel extremely comfortable and he was very welcoming. Because of him, we will definitely be back. We really enjoyed ourselves and Nick made our weekend even better. Thank you Nick for your sense of humor and amazing personality. The food suggestions were a HIT. WE ATE VERY GOOD.

Only had one person working in the dining area, who was very friendly or helpful. Paid for the breakfast and not worth the money.

I enjoyed using their Tesla charging amenity, all 4 charging stations were in use at night and it’s wonderful waking up to a full charge to hit the road again

The staff was great and helpful, great Italian steakhouse that I had for dinner. The breakfast buffet was diverse and very good. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and then the fitness center. Everything was very clean and well take care of.

An enjoyable stay with very good service. A very nice, clean room. The in-house restaurant was very good. Just some observations: the main entrance door was out of service making it more difficult to bring in luggage. The shower had great water pressure but the flow could not be adjusted resulting in needlelike droplets which was uncomfortable.

Very clean and comfortable. Was disappointed that the restaurant needed reservations to dine in. We ate at the bar. The food was excellent.

If only we had more time to use the fitness room. The pool is great and the water is actually heated. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are larger than usual. The rooms are little dated and the walls either need cleaned or painted. The rooms don't offer USB plugs which was a disappointment because we no longer travel with the USB adapters. Water pressure is amazing. Overall very nice hotel.

Easy check-in. Room was clean when we checked in. Did not hear other hotel guests at night. Did not hear any road noise from cars in the area. Easy access to the highway or restaurants and shopping.

We had a wonderful get away for our 35th anniversary & highly recommend this hotel! Our dinner at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse and the breakfast buffet the next morning were superb!

The check in was quick. But, The room was dusty. Coffee pot in room was dirty. No coffee in lobby in the morning. No food on the buffet from 910-10. When it should run until 10. The service was not that well. Had to ask for things several times as far as a beverage and cutlery. This caused a huge wedge in the flow of our day. Very disappointing for the price we paid.

There was an extra 50 dollar charge when we checked in. Was told when we checked out it would be back on our account. You should be letting people know when they book they stay. 24 hours later....I still dont have the refund!!!

They need to clean the refrigerator and the pull out bed had chips and crumbs all in it. And the last time the phone got whipped off that also was dusty.

We have stayed at this property many times. This is the 3rd time I have been double charged . By Expedia and then the hotel. The hotel then likes to take their time to refund the paymeny they took. That is after they argue on the phone we were not overcharged, our refund was already processed, etc.

Good hotel. Good location. Breakfast was disappointing since we paid extra and it was free buffet quality. We’ve stayed here a few years ago and I’m the breakfast was fresh and delicious. For an extra $20 per night for two adults it just was a let down.

Room was great and facility was pretty clean (could tell they don't clean behind the barn door in the bedroom). The most frustrating part was breakfast. We purchased the breakfast option and at NO point were we told breakfast was done at 9am. We went to the desk to ask how to use the little slips of paper we were given and the front desk guy told us to go to the restaurant and give it to the hostess only to be told by her that breakfast was done at 9am; it was shortly after 9am that we went down. The breakfast times are not communicated anywhere and it costs $11 a person. On top of that I feel like he should've known this and not sent on a bit of a wild goose chase. Ultimately I was refunded for the breakfast vouchers which I appreciate but the process for the usage of the breakfast coupons is NOT well communicated and that process needs to be updated. As simple as putting it on the little slip of paper they give out would be perfect! I would stay there again, I just hope they update this particular process for future guests.

Decent stay, but room was in poor condition. Several mystery stains were present on the floor, couch, doors, chair and bed. Staff was helpful, but unmasked.

Breakfast has only buffet available. Staff was very friendly but the room wasn't very clean. When I left I noticed a bunch of locals going into the hotel in bathing suits so that's likely to be a problem for anyone trying to use the pool. Word to the owner- put eyes on your property.
