Nothing It was a lot of violence going on. A man was publicity showing himself as well as the front desk assistant she never gave me my id and when asking her about it after noticing she didn't give it back she was acting very suspicious and even hung up on me I called back and she suddenly found it. Lastly, the noise disturbance was terrible I couldn't sleep other guests were arguing which the police became involved but it still lasted all night which was chaotic

The bathroom wall plaster by the tub was coming off and the ceiling in the bathroom was coming down. They could not get the key to work in the door so every time we left and came back to the room we had to have the attention open up the room with a key. If you would like pictures of this room I will be happy to send them to you. Also there was blood splatter on the wall by the door. This was a handicap room and the only one that they had. I will never go there again. When you reserve a room you expect it to at least be clean. My review will not be favorable. Seeing we will be going back to Durham again soon we will not be staying at your motel. We paid for a decent place and we got a terrible room.

My experience at Wyndham Durham Super 8 motel was honest to God the worse experience I ever had traveling in my life! That building all jokes aside needs to be condemned at the very least! The amount of roaches were beyond counting that I left all the lights on throughout the night! Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this motel. The same should go with Hotels.com You should not have this motel as a option! It is not a good look for your organization. Everything I read on the reviews were totally true! Filthy and disturbing! I wish I had checked the reviews before picking this health hazard of motel.

I didn’t like anything about the room and it was too late for me to find another hotel room closer by the room did not meet any of my expectations The floor was a mess and needed repairs. There were roaches. The iron did not work. The phones did not work. The tub was nasty. I had to clean that. There was no coffee in the room. Then there was not enough towels. There was only one towel and two washcloths.

I checked into my room and immediately noticed multiple, large burn holes in the bed spread. The maid had clearly made up the room with a bed spread that had holes in it. I reported this to the front desk and they reacted casually like it was a common occurrence at their hotel. I got a very bad feeling about the safety and cleanliness of the hotel based on this and what activities go on there. I asked for a refund and went to a different hotel.

We (wife and 2 kids) arrived late around 10 pm. There were people (renters for the night) on the 2nd floor balcony creating a weird seen. There is no lobby to check in. Check in was through a glass pass box that sets the vibe that you are in unsafe place that the staff is scared to meet you without a glass barrier. The only positive thing I can mention is while I tried to check in through the pass box a male attendant came in from outside and apologized and talked to us in a friendly way. I asked him about the parking place and he said he thinks it is safe. Still we staid outside the building until we got the key to our room. The room was filthy, infested with insects in the bed area on the walls, the floor and in the bath room. The blanket was visibly torn and the bedsheets did not look clean. We discussed and decided it was unsafe and impossible to sleep in the room so we started calling hotels in the area. We left the room after about 15 min to stay at the nearby hotel. In the morning we returned to hand in the room key, again thru the glass pass box, I also was hoping there could be a lobby where you can go inside to talk to the staff (I thought the door might have been closed by the time we arrived late in the evening). No lobby, only a glass pass box! Thank you for costing us about $90 and emotional distress. I am wondering if there is inspection at all by local authorities.

Nothing this place was a dump and so unsafe. The room was falling apart, there were cigarette holes in my sheets and blankets. Felt unsafe the entire time. Heard arguing and looked out the window and a man was laying in the doorway of his room with the door open lifeless with blood on him. I literally checked out after about an hr and a half of being there. Didn’t even spend the night.

Expedia, shame on you for not showing the actual picture of the property on your listing. Very deceptive. This is an old motel that has not had updates in a long time. The room smelled, the furniture is beat up, there were cigarette burns in the bedspread, and what I thought were ants were actually baby cockroaches. It was fairly clean and the water pressure was good. The bed was comfortable, but there was just a top sheet and a thin coverlet(with lots of holes), but no blanket or comforter. There were some folks just hanging around outside and music was playing late into the night. I think people may live at this place. It was fairly convenient to Duke. The 3 staff members I interacted with were extremely friendly. Wyndam needs to do a full gut job on this property.

I was disappointed because this is a Wyndham property. The property needs a full renovation. There was a hole in the bathtub. Ants and roaches in the bathroom. A used water bottle was in the frig when we arrived. The wayer was rusty. The towels were very nice and fluffy. The picture online did not match the actual property.

Went to our room, couldn’t get in. The clerk had to come open the door for us. We went inside and it was infested with bugs. They were everywhere. Roaches, ants, and other unidentifiable creatures. We made the decision not to stay and left to find another hotel. The clerk refunded our money with no questions asked.

There was prostitution happening in the parking lot and in the rooms (with the doors wide open in plain view of the manager). I refused to stay there with my daughter after a long road trip and instead went down the street to a clean and safe Holiday Inn. The manager assured me my money would be refunded. A month later they charged me again for the room that I never used.

I reserved a room with 1 King bed, but was given a room with 2 double beds. There were no other rooms available (surprisingly, because this place is awful). This was not the biggest issue though. The room was dirty and had a musky odor. The sheets and bedding had stains and looked very worn. I actually put my own blanket on top of the bedding and slept on top of that because it just didn't look/smell clean. There were holes all over the walls (I thought they might have been bullet holes!) They covered them with spackle but it was never painted over or finished. There was a good 2" gap under the door to the outside. Paint peeling off the walls. There was mold on the back side of the door and graffiti on the back of the door. The floor was actually coming up in places. The bathtub and all bathroom fixtures were covered in rust and it didn't look like anything had been cleaned recently. I actually couldn't even get the shower to come on at all. I had to go purchase cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom myself. The TV didn't work, and the TV couldn't be plugged in at the same time as the mini fridge. Only one outlet in the entire room actually worked. There were sketchy things going on in the parking lot during the night and I was scared to even leave my room after dark. I spent 2 nights here because all the local hotels were full. I have a pretty high tolerance for cheap hotels, but this was definitely the worst I've ever stayed in.

The room was listed as non smoking and I could not detect any odors, but the spread had cigarette burns in it. There was follicle evidence that the tub was not properly washed out. Aside from the window heater/ac, there was an auxiliary heater set up in a corner, by the bed, that ran constantly. It was also plugged into an extension cord that made me feel unsafe. The sheets were well past their use as evidenced by the many holes in the sheets. The free breakfast was not good because the machine was out of order leaving only coffee, and suspect cinnamon rolls that following everything else, was probably not fresh. Pictures attached.

I’m a budget traveler and this was graduation weekend - prices all over the area were nuts! My comparison set is the last 2 Motel 6 I stayed in. This Super 8 was beyond needing updating: the walls were smudged and drab, shower curtain rod near breaking off, flooring breaking apart here and there. AC unit not working properly, wasn’t able to maintain temperature and shutting down frequently. Comforter was very very thin in comparison to the freezing temperature outside, it was worn out and had holes too. Maids barged into the room without knocking or checking at the front desk if the guests are out. There was no complimentary breakfast with atleast a few items as used to be earlier. Lady at the front desk herself was a smoker and seen smoking most of the time.

There were homeless people hanging out behind and a rowdy bunch at night because of Mexican club next door the cops even made an appearance. Not in a good part of town.

Found trash in drawers, tub, walls....stained. Very run down, not upkept. Outlets so worn would not hold plugs. Large gap under door letting bugs in. No TV remote.....very poor shape. Strong smoke odor. We did not stay the night.

The hotel was clean the bed was amazing the location itself doesn't look like a great area but it was extremely quiet it is directly off of one of the major highways in Durham but we had a great stay and I will be coming back to that hotel in a matter of weeks on pleasure in the room was actually larger than I thought it was going to be

If you are looking to stay someplace that should be closed by the department of health then this is the place for you! Keep in mind that you will be sharing your room with cockroaches and the musical tones of police sirens. The bedspreads come with an assortment of decorative cigarette burns and if you look in the pillow cases you’ll see abstract art drool stains.

The fellow who worked during the day was as nice and helpful as one could want. The woman who checked us in during the late afternoon was not pleasant, and she stood in the doorway of her office and chain-smoked. The building is in very poor condition, and the stairs were not only unswept, but the broom was lying on the staircase. Amazing. The room stank of cheap disinfectant which could not overpower the smoke smell. The walls had holes in them; the bathroom was terrifying, and the bedspreads had burns in them, whether from cigarettes or marijuana seeds, we could not tell. The whole experience made me wish I had not only my handgun but my rifles and my chainsaw as well. We fled to a better hotel. Whooo. This place needs to be closed down. Really. Do Not Book a room here.

The location was good for me and the cost was good. The essentials were in place in terms of bed comfort, bath materials, shower. The room itself seemed raw and uninviting: worn upholstery, rusty wall bracket, holes in bed cover (from cigarettes?), no chair to sit at table, TV remote that didn't work. The faux wood floor undoubtedly makes cleaning easier, but is unattractive.

It's really gets back to 80-90's. It's old, terrible and very rusty bathtub, wash tub and all amenities. Smells terrible and not an safe area. Some homeless fellow walked on door at night which was really scary.

I would not recommend this place unless you are desperate. We stayed in rm. 204. Old furniture with a broken handle. There is a gap in the door which light was shining through. you could get a small mouse through it. There is no standards. Upon arrival the office was locked and a lady came out from room 101 and took my information out front. This is a ok place if you need to rest. Did not feel safe and i slept on top of the blanket and not between the sheets. I travel a lot and have stayed in many Super 8's. Would not feel safe here. I am fair on all my reviews.

Staff was responsive, Hotel is showing it's age. Quite a few 'permanent' residents with the accompaning noise and drama.

The sheets were clean and it did look like the place had been wiped down—minus the condom wrapper on the back of the couch, which was less than comforting. So yeah, not ever going back.

It was good for a night but I wouldn't recommend staying longer. Room only had 2 towels, there was no phone, some outlets didn't work, there was no shampoo or conditioner, and it looked spooky. But there were no bed bugs, and the water and lights worked so definitely stayable for a night.

The 1st room was not clean so he was nice and gave me another room. Roaches running around in the second room and air conditioner is so ran down i was scared to touch it.. Not a clean hotel. There was no hot coffee in the pot in the lobby, he said warm it in microwave but there was no coffee in the pot.

Ok. So it was cheap but it certainly was not cheerful. Old, dirty, smelly, needs decorating, stinks of smoke and of pot constantly. Bed was horrendously worn, so much so that sleeping was impossible and sea legs were the norm due to the inbalance. Avoid.
