I booked this hotel for my parents since it was not too far from where they were going to celebrate their anniversary as well as a family member's birthday. This was my first time booking with this establishment and the experience with them was a bit disappointing. The location was across a railroad track and unfortunately there was a homeless population there. You also have to pay a security deposit; which I was not aware of if you book with them through a third party. Since I did not know, I didn't know to tell my parents and that was a bit of surprise for us both since I had already paid for the room. I also extended their stay by a day and I had to pay another deposit again since I booked through a third party. They don't except certain debit cards ( examples: venmo, netspend, etc.) So I would suggest if you want to book with them call to make sure they except your card. The room was okay and was clean. The bed was soft, the bathroom had double doors ( which was...different), my parents said the breakfast was good and they did have some hot food. The front desk assistant Niki was very nice and did do what she could to assist us. The price was very reasonable but overall my experience was a bit frustrating and I will probably not book with them in the future.

This stay was notably unsatisfactory, marked by water damage in the room and disruptive guests whose late-night activities were not addressed until multiple requests were made to the front desk. I cannot recommend this particular La Quinta location. Furthermore, the hotel's surroundings appear to be in a somewhat questionable area, necessitating vigilance regarding vehicle security.

Location The hotel went down hill since the last time I stayed in it. Checked in and the room they gave me smelled like mold it was dirty. Then changed rooms and that room didn’t have a tub in it to give my baby a proper bath. Not a lot of options for breakfast because I don’t eat pork.

The hotel has all the charm and potential you could want. Unfortunately the owners have let the hotel fall into disrepair and very unkempt. The cleaning staff should be ashamed because of the dirty hallways. The exterior of the hotel has not been cleaned in years. The rooms all look like they haven't been touched since the 70's. The furnishings are all old and need replaced. I can go on, but I need some time to address the staff. Not friendly and not customer oriented at all. We were there for a multi night stay. When checking in we were informed daily housekeeping was not provided, so if we wanted housekeeping we needed to request it in the morning for the next day. We did that but returned to our room about 10PM of the night of the day the housekeeping was suppose to happen and we walked into a room with stripped beds which we had done trying to help the staff, towels thrown on the floor where we had left them and some minor repairs and cleaning (the wood floors were dirty and sticky to bare feet) but none of it was done. We went to the front office to see what could be done and we were told no one-was there to help out and the best they could do was give us clean bedding and towels and we would need to make the bed ourselves. Needless to say, we checked out the next day. We left behind a bathtub that was very slow draining, sticky wood floors and wifi that did not work. Reserve at your own risk.

Our room was quiet & bathroom was clean. Where do I start?!? The location did not appear safe, with homeless & their trash around the perimeter of the property. Guest vehicles must be visibly permitted in order to stay in their lot (or maybe be identified if a crime occurs?) Outside appearance of the building is shabby & moldy. Lobby had a line of people waiting to check in. There were 2 staff members present, but then only one doing the check in-- who did not seem to know the process well & took a long time. Paperwork seemed excessive. Lobby smelled of sewage & dampness. Very dated & worn decor. Evident water damage which had not been repaired. Room design is odd. There is a width-long desk/work surface & desk chairs, but no other furniture. Worn chairs, etc. The bathroom was at least clean & acceptable, although not very current. Staff were not particularly friendly or accommodating. We did not feel welcome, only to spend our money. I observed several just standing & looking at their phones, rather than working or cleaning. Since we were not pleased with our stay, we didn't necessarily think we would have their complimentary breakfast, but thought we'd check it out anyway & maybe take something to go. It was a poor selection. Juice machine not working, no fresh fruit -- very poor selection. We left without having anything.

I saw a roach in the bathroom. The place needs a remodel. Windows filthy. Unknown smell of uncleanness. Staff was ok . By the time you get there you pay an additional 75 refundable fee. Then is you extend they charge you that fee twice. So it's a 80 fee I spent 155. For the quality total rip off. I rather know it's 155 a night . Which is the going rate at a cleaner hotel.

The front doors automatically opened for me as I entered made me feel invited and it really helped when bringing in baggage. I experienced excellent customer service from the front desk. The appearance of the property looked good, however my personal opinion of this property overall is that thay should improve on the smell of the interior. They have excellent choices on the looks i.e. carpet, furnture, bedding, drapes, TV,. Also, they might improve on attention to detail with some needed repairs. Overall, I would definitely chose to stay at this LaQuinta location again!

I had reserved the room well in advance. I even requested an early check-in at 1 PM and agreed to pay the $30 additional fee. When I arrived at the hotel around 2 PM, I was told by an extremely rude front desk staff that the room is not ready. The parking lot had a lot of potholes. The room I got was not good. The shower was very hard to open and leaking when opened. There was no shower gel, body wash, face wash, soap etc. Bath towels were not provided. Some of the lamps in the room didn't have shade and the bulbs were open. The A/C unit in the living room was not connected, and I didn't realize I had to connect the unit to the power. One saving grace was the breakfast. Even though it was not the best, it was pretty decent. Overall, I felt like the property was falling apart and needed a lot of maintenance.

Only a couple electrical outlets worked. I never could find the remote for.the tv For a weekend of scheduled graduations, the hotel was very full, with a very small working staff. Employees seemed grumpy and frustrated. However there was enough thought to.raise the rates for.the night because of limited accomodations elsewhere. The parking lot has a pond in it, from rain, reducing the amount of parking spaces. I had to stand at the counter for 15 minutes before a clerk became available to check me in This isnt a clerks fault. This is purely poor management of a run down hotel. Ill never stay here again, and will probably rethink staying at another laquinta ever.

The property looks beautiful in the online pictures but not so much in person. In our room handicapped accessible, the shower was not usable for us because we would have had to try to step over and into a tub that had handicapped railings and that is just not possible with a person in a wheelchair who.can not walk. There is no handicapped parking in the front on the building and several large pot holes in the lot. The room was clean however the carpet could use a good cleaning. I received a text upon checking in and I responded to it however I never received a response back. The breakfast was as good as a continental breakfast can be expected to be.

This hotel is bait and switch. They tell you through Expedia that they will reimburse you up to 24 hours of your stay and when you walk in, they have a sign on the counter saying they do not reimburse for third-party reservations and that means Expedia. The reason why they have this signage is because they know that when people check in, they will want to check out immediately. This is not a good hotel. The room smelled like smoke and everything seemed to be falling apart.

Roaches in the room, horrible sleep, constantly paranoid checking to make sure nothing was crawling on me or in or my things. Bright parking light shining through the window. Trash outside the property, second entry door does not work automatically. Front desk was not accommodating when I addressed my concerns the night prior, I was told I could pay extra. Outdated furniture and decor compared to other locations. Very noisy, you can hear everything from rooms next to your room, entire conversations, constant flushing of toilet, and a weird swooshing noise in the evening along with constant door entry from other guests in and out. Kept me up all night. Room did not come with a fridge or microwave or no soap in bathroom to wash hands or body wash. It's 2026 and basic amenities are not included. I called and inquired and was told I could pay additional money if I needed a fridge/microwave/ in the room i declined because I've never experienced this before at any hotel except this one during my stay. Had to trash all my food because no where to store it. I will never stay at a La Quinta again.

Rude staff, the front desk lady didn’t even bother to stand up out of her cubby to talk to people. Not wheelchair friendly, the “automatic doors didn’t actually work”, the elevator was an inch lower than the floor, so rolling from the elevator to the floor was impossible. It was dirty and the ceiling of the room was leaking.

In short, I would never stay there again! I checked in and was greeted by an apathetic and uncaring staff. One of the elevators wasn’t working, and I had to walk significantly farther to the next elevator. I walked into a room that was completely undone and a little shocking. The bed was stripped with sheets in the floor, the TV was blaring and there was a huge bag of trash right at the door. But wait, it gets better. I got a baseline apology at the front desk and was given another room. I was awakened early morning to two dogs barking, women cursing at each other and eventually 2 whole families fighting with the police ultimately arriving to resolve the dust up. It seems as if this location is an extended stay for displaced families. And while families in transition absolutely deserve a safe place to stay, I should not have to pay for a nightmarish experience.

Unfortunately, the condition of the property did not meet expectations. The hotel had more of a motel feel than a hotel feel. Hallway carpets looked worn, the gym had a single, outdated treadmill, and breakfast was average (about 3/5). There were cleanliness and maintenance concerns. One of the two elevators was broken, and the working elevator smelled like smoke. We also noticed people cooking in their rooms, smoke smells in the building, pets throughout the property, and children running loudly in the hallways. The noise became disruptive enough that we had to request a move to a different floor. Our room also felt outdated, and the bathroom was not cleaned to the standard we expected. My comments are directed more toward Wyndham and property management than the staff. The employees were professional and helpful, but this location clearly needs investment and updates. I appreciate the staff, but due to the overall condition, I would likely choose a different place next time.

Super dirty, bathtub was clogged, light fixtures broken(like glass actual broken), gum on carpet in room, beetle on ceiling, everything smelled like cigarettes and cigarette butts in the elevator. Staff was not helpful arrived late with kids and when I asked where near parking to my room was the guy at the front told me a located where the door was locked and no entry so has to walk around the building at 1am to come to another door and elevator that was broken to had to walk to other side of building to find another elevator that worked. Traveling alone with my kids this was not fun. In the morning I went to get coffee in the lobby at 9am, was ignored by the front desk(on reels in their phone) when I asked if they had coffee out she said in your room. I went back to the room to find the coffeemaker broken and the coffee opened and partially used. We were only there a few hours and were so excited to leave. We are not too picky when it comes to hotels but this place was crazy scary and dirty. Makes a good story…but I would not stay again.

We checked out the next day and the manager was unwilling to refund the remaining ten nights we had booked. Mamager claimed it was because it was booked through Expedia, but I had Expedia on the phone and Expedia was willing to refund the remaining nights as long as the hotel manager was willing. The hotel manager was NOT willing and blamed it on Expedia. We lost a refund for ten nights. I'm even a Wyndham Rewards member. Unbelievable!

There was a flight that booked their passengers here and it caused for a 2 hour wait time to check in. There was no other form of check-in and only one staffer. Clearly the staffer was frustrated and took it out accordingly. My room TV wasn't working had no soap and the AC rattled all night. I asked for an extedned check out and was rewarded 1 hour for 12 p m. Could not get my room turned down because i asked after 9 a.m. but was never instructed to do so, i asked at 10. Overall the elevator was broken and the roof had plenty unsightly roof leak stains and the rugs looked and amelled old.

Unfortunately, there was a mistake made when booking the reservation as this property is similarly named as the Raleigh Durham Airport location. Despite attempts made by me and Hotels.com the property refused to make any attempt to help with the mistake. The front desk staff was unhelpful and the manager that can make the decision was unavailable on Saturday night when I was at the wrong hotel with no reservation. They need to better advertise their location in their name to make it less confusing for a weary traveler making a last minute reservation for a stay. It will be the last time that I use the La Quinta brand over their lack of care in resolving the mistake. I asked for any kind of help or refund and never insisted on a full refund as I do understand that I was also part of the mistake. Customer service is lacking and hotels need to do more to ensure guest satisfaction.

The reason for the poor review is for several reasons. To begin with, I booked an accessible room requesting 2 beds. What I received in the ad was 2 beds with a pullout bed which I was excited about because I had my 6 year old granddaughter. Although I checked in late, the room that thought I'd booked was far from that. Not only was the room NOT ACCESSIBLE, it had an old stuffy smell to it, there was only one bed so me, my sister & my granddaughter all had to sleep in the same bed which was very hard to do. I was unable to take a shower and using the toilet required assistance from my sister. When I went to have some "breakfast" around 10:30am, the food had been put away which was quite disappointing considering the night that I'd had. And to top it all off, La Quinta required a $75 hold (why?) which was taken out of my account immediately yet when I called to find out when I would receive my money back I was told 7 to 10 days!!! The audacity of it all!! I was and am over it and will not use this hotel again in the future.

A little worn but more than adequate. Easy to get to location. Dining, shopping, and RDU a short drive away. Front elevator was out, requiring short walk to end of hall to working elevator. Room was decent size, not cramped, and spotlessly clean. Bright white new towels, soap, shampoo & conditioner in the bath. Shower and drain worked fine but beware the unusually LOW toilet. Should've been call button for assistance getting up from that thing! Room AC/Heater was blowing COLD on entry. Controls on unit inoperable as it's conrolled by thermostat on the wall (and worked fine after that was pointed out to us). TV was inoperable but staff came up quickly when called and changed the plug arrangement and worked fine. There was a working mini fridge & microwave, but the latter controlled by a switch shared with interior lights, and the switch and lights have to be on to use the microwave. Free continental breakfast included coffee, OJ, AJ, bread, bagels, milk, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, yogurt, and a self-service waffle iron. No syrup, but can't beat the price. Staff was friendly and helpful when they had time to breath. No major complaints, but if you're coming to stay, please come to #625 and help me up from that LOW toilet.

Our door knob was broken, which looked like someone had kicked the door in at one point. The door was also installed improperly, which left a large crack between the door and frame that allowed any passing stranger to see into our room. The room was not very clean, and the front desk lady was extremely rude and borderline condescending. I tried to be optimistic, but everything that could go wrong, went wrong. I have never been to this La Quinta location and I absolutely love it. It sits off the road get still close to everything as well as it’s by the railroad tracks which I thought was beautiful. The pool was nice and clean towels were offered, and there were parking stickers all of which I truly appreciated. We didn’t stay long, but I’ll stay was perfect. The beds were great. The room was very nice and I love looking out of the window to the courtyard. My cousin and I will remember this location the next time we visit relatives in Durham.

I liked the price of the hotel compared to some others in the area. It was noticeable that there was an odor in the front lobby when my daughter and I walked in. The stairway had another different smell in it and the carpeting appeared old and dirty. Possibly where the smell was coming from. The carpet throughout appeared to be old and in need of either cleaning ore replacement. Bathroom doors in the room were more like cabinet doors that didn't close well. Really strange, as I've never seen that before. Room had an odd scent, but not nearly like the poop smell in the front lobby. When I went to my vehicle at night, there was a fairly large group of teenagers loitering outside the side exit door, which made things a bit uncomfortable. Then my card key would not reopen the door and had to walk around to the front to reenter. It was not a "bad" stay, but definitely could use some improvement. Breakfast was pretty good.

Customer service was okay, assigned first room and it smelled like a wet damp room, come to my research-the AC in the room growing mold/mildew, immediately went downstairs to get another room. Assigned my next room and paint stains on the ceiling, went to the bathroom to put toiletries away, there were cockroaches on the wall and crawling around. Immediately checked out of the hotel in disappointment to go find another hotel, expensive due to it being the last minute. Front desk told me, ONLY if the exterminator finds something, a manager would call-no refund or anything, disappointing experience.

What was missing was a comfortable chair. The tv is too small for this room. It’s not ergonomic when on the bed, worst seating on that chair.
