Room was very spacious with more than expected storage space, breakfast had all options we would ever ask for, gym facility was inviting and functional. Would definitely stay here again

I love the location and all the amenities. Cleanliness. I found some red pills scattered on the floor that shows me they no one vacuumed. Fortunately my dogs didn’t get them. Who knows what the red pills were.

Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We would definitely book here again. Closeness to restaurants was also nice.

Just stayed one night, but the kitchenette in the room and amenities would have been great if we were staying for a longer stay!

Dilan went way above his duties to ensure I was received and had everything I need which is important when you need to rest. He was always checking in with me. I can't describe or tell you how much I appreciated all that Dilan went above and beyond for me. Please let him know this. I need to make more trips up to the Duke Cancer Center and plan to stay there because of the excellent hotel and services like Dilan showed to me. Your hotel sold me for future visits because of Dilan. Thank you, Dilan... There is absolutely no complaints at all I plan to stay there more in the future.

Check in person was okay, not overly friendly. The check out guy was friendly.

House keeping could be improved. Requested additional towels because they only clean every other day, and they would not bring them to the room. Made you pick them up downstairs.

The location was great. Lots of food places within walking distance. The room was also very spacious and accommodating. The staff wasn't super friendly or welcoming in greetings and interaction. The walls were very thin and we could hear everything around and above. We had to contact the front desk several times because the people above us kept running and stomping, even after midnight. The room door looked like it had been pried open before and we always had to pull it to make sure it actually locked when it was closed. The price for a single night was steep and the mattresses were lumpy and worn.

Check-in was great, and rep at the front desk was exceptionally nice and helpful When I placed the booking, I specifically requested top floor and AWAY from the stairs and elevators. We were on the 3rd floor and had an absolute elephant stomping on our ceiling all night. It was horrible. I got NO sleep. To top it off, our room was directly beside the stairway!!! Not impressed with the fact that our preferences received no acknowledgement.

Staff wasn’t over helpful. Nobody at front desk when arrived. Room keys were not programmed after getting to room door. No apologies when had to drag luggage back to front desk and find someone to help.

Great front desk service. Trash outside was overflowing which is wrong of the patrons that were staying to do. The breakfast had options so that was nice. Gym had one treadmill that wouldn’t go past 1 mph and the other treadmill the incline didn’t work.

Our room was comfortable, but definitely in need of some updates. There was a tear in one of the chairs and the curtains had holes in them.. the refrigerator and microwave was a great addition. We checked out on Christmas Day and unfortunately, the only breakfast that was available was bagels and cereal. We were unhappy with that since the only reason I booked this hotel was for the buffet that would be offered.

We are frequent guest and always have a good experience. This last stay included a generous solution to a computer error. We were called ahead of checking in. Home2 arranged a room at their sister facility with no charge to us. That was generous! And the staff kindly apologized for our inconvenience. I feel this establishment will take care of you to the very best they can.

Clean and well kept Was given a room for a specials person and it was just too much space for us. Also the shampoo and soap are placed too high on the wall in the shower. A handicapped or special needs person would not be able to reach them, especially if they are in a wheelchair. Need to move them to a lower position.

This Home2 suites by Hilton is a very small hotel. It is not worth $169 a night by any stretch of imagination. We have stayed in other Home2 suites by Hilton. The room and bathroom in Durham hotel were much smaller. The shower had lukewarm water. The drapes did not work and I asked them to be removed. I had to ask the hotel to replace the fridge because It was not very cold. Overall I wasted my money by blindly booking this hotel due to our past good experience in a Home2 suites by Hilton hotel.

Staff was friendly and helpful, were able to help with a noise complaint No established quiet hours Room was adequately clean but looked a bit run down, sleeper sofa looked dirty and stained No breakfast one morning due to “unforeseen circumstances” - assuming a staff member called out I requested a 3rd floor room when I remotely checked in and ended up on the first floor ( I did not request a change or discuss with staff so not their fault)

Filthy sofa bed, broken and full of stains. This is where my son is meant to sleep. Now he won’t. Staff wouldn’t change my room saying they are 100% booked while the hotel seems empty. A disgrace for the Hilton name and Expedia who sells this property

This was the absolute worse stay I have ever had. So VERY Super Noisy! All the traffic outside the window, the neighbors beside the room and the room above were super loud starting at 6 am and ending around midnight all 5 nights I was there. I ended up leaving early just to get away from the noise. The breakfast was cold each morning.

Me and my son were in town for a basketball game and stayed a night here. The property was near a small shopping and dining space which was convenient if we’d wanted a quick bite before the game. Our room was clean and check-in and check-out was easy. We’d definitely stay here again.

On one occasion during my stay, an ambulance arrived at the hotel due to a reported medical emergency, possibly a heart attack. That evening, while I was using the hotel’s complimentary laundry facilities—a notable amenity—a night attendant, described as wearing glasses and having little hair, approached me. He questioned me aggressively about the incident, which I have no idea. His behavior was unprofessional, confrontational, and included shouting, which I found distressing. Upon checking out, I reported this issue to a coworker, who informed me that the attendant’s name was likely Mike. I urge the hotel management to address this staff member’s conduct to ensure a more respectful guest experience.

the ‘breakfast’ is a complete disaster: nearly inedible, confusing arrangement, very limited seating, and the layout ensures you’ll be trampling other guests. there are better hotels with walkable food for less money a block or two away.

it was very noisy, both from people walking in the room above us, and the people in the next room, since the connecting door had an open space allowing for sound to come from the room to the point we could hear their voices even at normal speaking volume. Also, we stayed for 3 days but our room was never service, the maid said we weren’t on her list and the front desk said it is only serviced every other day. Very disappointed in a Hilton property.

We are not very picky. But, the breakfast was really bad compared to many other Home2 Suites that we have stayed at. Very small selection, cold and not replenished enough. Area was not maintained and had to ask for coffee, plates and even butter to be refilled.

The place was dirty, under the mattress was a pubic hair and dirt. The seats at the breakfast dining area was so dirty. I took photos of their clean guarantee they have posted near the dining area and the photos of the extremely dirty seats. Unfortunately I didn't get photos under the mattress. Service was good on Saturday and Monday, but Sunday the lady stayed on her tablet at one of the dining tables and didn't even greet you when you come in. The alarm was going off most of the night and during the day.

I liked the hotel. The rooms were really clean. The only thing that I didn’t like is that they have postings about car thefts around the area. So everytime I would leave the hotel to go to my car it was a game to see if my car was still right where I left it. Other than that no complaints. Breakfast was basic but not bad.

We were given room keys to a door that did not open due to a faulty handle. And, we found out later that this was already known. This was the last 2 queen bed room available. We were offered a king—which we took since it was midnight. No offering of a discount but king rooms were less expensive than the 2 queens. We discovered we couldn’t get anything to come on the TV. I called down to the front desk and she offered absolutely no advice other than saying she’d get someone to come check it in the morning (we were only staying one night). In the morning, my husband realized the only way to watch tv was if you hooked up a laptop as there were no regular tv stations available. There was no hot water for a shower. It was lukewarm at best. The only positive thing I have to say about our stay is bed was comfortable. I plan to contact Expedia about the hidden parking charges. Not that it was a big expense, but we felt it was bogus.

Comfortable beds. Well appointed rooms. Great facilities. Good location close to Duke University. Quiet night sleep. I've stayed here a few times now as I come into town for treatment at Duke every other week. Generally I like this hotel much better than a few others we have stayed at. The last stay was a bit surprising because the sofa in the room we stayed in was very dirty. Also, of note is the daily parking and reclamation fee charged by the hotel. I thought the fee was per stay, but turns out it is a nightly fee to park your car in their large parking lot. $13 a night. It's not a huge sum, but after paying $150 a night for a mid-range hotel this additional fee is just a cheap move.

The room was very nice, the hotel itself was nice. Front desk seemed to have an attitude. The first night I was there my car got broke into along with 7 other cars. They also make you pay for parking but do not have any security cameras. If I had to guess the hotel workers have something to do with these break ins. They did not care that this happened and you can clearly see the parking lot from the desk. (its a well lit parking lot) So something just seems off that someone was able to break 8 windows and no one heard/saw it from the desk.

Upon check in I was charged an additional $13 for a parking what she explained as a fee for the fact that the cost of them doing business has gone up.

The rooms were perfect for an extended stay and could accommodate up to 6 people. Guests can also to their own laundry for free & coffe, tea or hot chocolate are also available for free all day. The only thing that I would suggest is a better variety of breakfast options. There wasn’t much of a choice and the hours were also limited. The hours should be from 6.00-10.00am 7 days a week.

Added charges for parking and something called a "reclamation fee" which the front desk could not explain, only to continue parroting a script was my welcome to this stay. The "separate sitting area" highlighted in the room description was a sleeper sofa separated by a curtain. The breakfast was abysmal, featuring bright green bananas and stale muffins. The stay here was better than sleeping in the car but just barely.

The blind is low quality, I just rolled down the blind and the frame dropped. They charged for their low quality.

Blinds were inoperable and there was a big street light right outside my window. I couldn’t sleep as my room was as bright as day. Exhaust fan control broken

There was an odor in the room. The night manager parks his vehicle blocking the ramp to get into the building

Hotel nice except watch out for the hidden fee of paying a daily rate for parking. Ridiculous to pay to park in that location

Good hotel. Clean and new. the shower gel bottle was empty and not refilled. Even when the cleaning service came. The elliptical in the gym was not functioning properly and was not fixed during our few days there.

Stayed at a accessible room and it very spacious and had a walk in shower. There was a lot in the breakfast area. The breakfast choices could include low sugar cereals.

Basic breakfast options, but good enough for a quick bite before going to WeWork or visiting friends. Front manager Nate was very flexible and moved us to a different room when we had wifi connection problems in the originally assigned room. Washing/drying facilities (2 each) do exist, and they are not even charging for using the machines! N/A

Great hotel with great location. Appreciated the amenities and how accessible it is, since I have a broken foot.

Does housekeeping clean…yes. I witnessed it everyday I was there. However, what the room needs is a deep cleaning. Housekeeping pretty much does a wipe down, pull sheets up, stock up supplies, type of clean up. Lord knows when the rugs were last shampooed. When I took a closer look at the seats in the lobby, it’s the same issue. There are deep stains that can be easily addressed with a good shampooing. Did I feel comfortable in my room, absolutely not. It felt dirty and dingy but what won me over was the fact that the hotel had FREE LAUNDRY!!!! What else won me over? The close proximity to so many stores (Walmart, Marshall’s, pet smart you name it they had it!!) In closing, do I see myself staying at this hotel again…maybe not. But it’s a contender because when you travel with kids and a dog you need certain amenities that will make your stay comfortable. My recommendation would be the following: never walk barefoot on the rug and bring your own cleaning supplies if you want a true deep cleaning.

Amazing properties super clean. The pool was amazing. They had an exercise room a bunch of extra amenities that you don’t normally get at your average hotel. I don’t know why this is a three star hotel. This should be a five.

It was a good experience overall. There is no restaurant on-site but restaurants near-by inclusive of right next door. The front desk clerks were very helpful...especially the tall slim African-American man.

Breakfast is included until they run out of waffle mix, then it's muffins, bread, and cereal for 2 days. They did'nt inform us we had to pay for parking - not at booking or during check-in. It's $10 per day. Still haven't been reimbursed. Broken bikes and hot temperature in the exercise room.

The room was large enough and well equipped, but I have seen cleaner sofas at Goodwill. Stuffing was coming out of the ripped corner and it was generally dirty all over. Noticed the same poor conditions in the lobby. Stains on upholstery. Made me question the cleanliness of the carpet, beds.

It was very unclean, smelled, juat looked like it wasnt really cared for. My daughter called it sketchy

We arrived after midnight & Mike took great pains to get us into our room quickly even without the use of a computer.

The room was clean however the lobby and breakfast area was very dirty. Trash cans were filled both at checkin and breakfast. Breakfast area was very dirty. Tables were never cleaned off between use. Area where you got food was messed up with spills etc and no one cleaned it up. Place where clean dishes were was also dirty. There seemed to be enough staff but no one did anything.

Roomy accommodations for a reasonable price.

The hotel is well placed with many restaurants and retail places close by. The staff was very welcoming and the facilities clean. I loved the full fridge and the dinnerware and silverware were in good condition. My only wish is that the hotel allowed for requesting extra cleaning rather than having a policy of only every other day.

Excellent overnight stay in route to a family vacation. Front desk people were amazing, sincerely kind and helpful.
- 2/5
Could Be Improved: 1.Water pressure 2. The friendless, attitude and helpfulness of some employees 3. "Breakfast" foods limited selection and the quality of the eggs UNACCEPTABLE: Allowing pets in a hotel meant for people: 1. Endangers customers with asthma and allergies 2. Endless dog barking creates stress and dissatisfaction for customers

Room and lobby not as clean as in the past. Had a wet floor mat folded on the side of the tub and green toothpaste on the bath sink counter.

We had a comfortable stay but the place was a little dirty. The upholstered furniture in the room and downstairs eating areas were a bit dirty. Someone break out the steam cleaner! Breakfast bar was a bit dirty too. Overall good stay but more attention to cleaning would improve guests’ stays.

Traveling with a total of 5 people, road trip. Room was spacious, surprisingly so. Everything was clean, staff was friendly, lots of towels. Free breakfast was good. My first time staying at Home 2 Suites. When traveling with a group will be my top choice.
- 5/5
It was very quiet and clean with a very pleasant and courteous staff. I will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
We were just traveling through the area and stayed for one night at the hotel. The hotel has many amenities and is centrally located so we could have done a lot more in a longer stay. Our only complaint was with the breakfast, which was only OK and not stellar. The rest of the hotel was great. The room was spacious and well equipped for a longer stay.
- 3/5
Overall its an average and okay property. The rooms are very spacious and everything was clean. the hallways smell funny. The breakfast was poor to okay and there is a staff member who just watches you get breakfast and eat, its super creepy and weird, but harmless. Front desk is super nice tho!!
- 3/5
Super convenient location to everything. Easy to get in and out of the parking lot to where you need to go. The included breakfast was AWFUL. It's the same at all Home2Suites. The waffle batter was sour/spoiled. They were out of many things during the 30-45 minutes we were there. The reception staff was worse than AWFUL, not rude. But totally unprepared and just sad, for a Hilton anyway. Looks like nobody trains anyone anymore.

Loved the rooms and how comfy the beds are.

We left the hotel as we could not sleep with the loud music. We had already moved room in an attempt to escape the music but it didn’t work. This hotel was really dirty and not well maintained. We like to stay at Homes 2 Suites and this was our first negative experience. Very disappointed

Property still needed some updating on the 2nd floor but overall was clean and nice.
