The hotel room itself wasn't bad but could use and update across the board.

Nothing Everything, it felt like a drug hotel. It was me and my 2 daughters. We left cause we didn’t feel safe or comfortable there.

My stay did not improve from there. I found a dead roach under the AC unit and saw several live ones during my stay. The AC unit in my room only worked on low, if I tried to set it to high it cut off. One of the bath towels had a large, suspicious brown spot, so I obviously couldn't use that one. When room service "cleaned" the room during the day they removed the dead roach and made the bed, but left the dirty towels without replacing them. Luckily I had brought my own soap, shampoo, and conditioner, as there was none supplied. Besides the overall dirtiness and the rudeness of the front desk attendant, the clientele could be described as sketchy at best. I was asked several times by various persons for a dollar or a lighter. Avoid this hole if possible.

There was a questionable red stain on the bathroom door, could’ve been blood I dont know. It was a little dusty and rusty but it did the job. There was a weird moment where we were told about a security deposit and that we needed $150 in cash but they looked at my boyfriend and reminded him the room was non smoking, which we already knew and wanted a room to be nonsmoking because we have kids. I guess they didn’t trust my boyfriend enough to not smoke that they changed the fee and asked us for a $200 deposit fee. We got it back because we did not destroy anything. Now here’s the bad part, they have roaches. I live in NYC so I see roaches but I don’t have roaches in my home, so it was hard sleeping knowing the room had roaches where is we had to come out of pocket to buy roach spray because it just made us really uncomfortable to sleep knowing this. Overall though it was the cheapest place I found and it did the job.

And then, you had people making noise like they lost their minds and people like myself and my husband and some of the people like peace and quiet. And on top of everything, if I had a queen room, 2 adults why we had 1 wash cloth and a few towels. Only thing this is my first time being in Cockroach hotel. If you want more people coming to stay a days, get the people to spray all the rooms and have more wash clothes and towels and make people feel comfortable not uncomfortable and watching their stuff so no Cockroach goes in there suite case

I didn't take pictures to share because I'm embarrassed that I stayed there and I don't want to be reminded of that place.

Had 2 roaches that crawled in my bed which I showed maintenance. My refrigerator would not get cold unfortunately. Another room was offered but i dont understand why me moving all my things to another room in the 2nd fl made more sense than changing the fridge out which was the size of a med cooler

Roaches everywhere! I have pictures too! Blood stained pillows, other people’s hair on the sheets. People screaming next door. Entire property looks unsafe. Shut it down! 0 out of 10 recommend.

Parking was easy. The Friday night clerk told me in which building I would be staying, but he was unclear that the location of my room was on the far side. Otherwise, the desk and housekeeping staff was fine. Room was clean. Shower and TV worked well. I did not get up in time for breakfast.

I didn't think it was a three star hotel.

The A/C unit was loud. In the morning there were lots of black specs on the floor that had been emitted by this poorly functioning unit. Wouldn’t go back to this place.

This place was absolutely horrible, and was not like the pictures or reviews depicted it. It stank and was in terrible, dirty, broken condition. We could not stay here and requested a refund, which we still have not received. Totally UNACCEPTABLE. Do not stay here!!!

no tissue dirty sheets when we were leaving the roaches escorted us out the pretend breakfast water syrup and dry cereal with juice water or coffee was laughable

I was stuck on the darkest and creepiest side by myself as a female when I got there late at night and was actually scared. The room was not as pictured and not the cleanest. The breakfast was not as pictured. The only breakfasts served was DIY waffles and one kind of cereal. The water pressure in the shower was impossible to wash the shampoo out of your hair. Hotels.com keeps asking me how the pool was...there is no pool.

Breakfast was so incredibly underwhelming. Sweetened cereal with milk and coffee, which was ok. After my last hotel experience (IHG) this was a shock, and I paid only a few dollars less. Truly a low-value experience.

After we checked in, had to go back to get a tv remote as there wasn't one in the room. Also, only had 2 towels for the shower when there were 3 of us. Also, 1 of the towels was wet, wasn't changed out from the previous stay, when I went and asked for 2 towels they would only give me 1. Breakfast was make your own waffles & 2 dry cereals. The juice machine didn't work. Then when we got up Sunday morning, there were bugs in our room. Wouldn't stay here again when I am in the area.

The hot water barely lasted 5 minutes. There were no markings to turn the heater on accurately so it didn’t seem to work. The only breakfast option was waffles and the coffee tasted stale at 7:00 in the morning. I asked for a no smoking room but when I walked in the room reeked of smoke or something. I was in a room right along the highway so the noise was constant all night long. Also the phone in the room did not even work to call the front desk.

It was just a hotel to stay in the night before our flight so we were okay with it. You could hear fighting through the vents and traffic outside. Not the safest place if you have a long stay.

While the staff was professional and they kept the property decent, the fact that Expedia couldn't reach the owner of the site to offer a refund for the days I didn't spend there was what warranted this rating. Otherwise, a decent, affordable stay.

Room was adequate but very run down. Breakfast was very limited and not good. Felt unsafe, but primarily due to being awakened at 7a by other guest banging on the door and threatening to shoot us through the wall if we didn’t stop tapping on the wall (we were asleep in have no understanding of the tapping)

I been staying here for 3 weeks and the fridge is not working. I have reported to the front desk but nothing is happening.

All the furniture was very dusty not clean at all but bathroom lols like it had been remodeled looked great. Person Nextdoor threatened us and had a gun waving it around. Tried to push us down the stairs. The front desk person was great when I reported it to him.

Bonus: mildew on the ceiling & walls in the bathroom was a nice touch. We didn’t even bother to eat breakfast at this place.

The room had clearly been painted recently. The fridge and microwave were good. The main disappointment was the breakfast labellel continental. All that was available were cornflakes, Cheerios, coffee, fake orange juice and waffles with limited addition. No pastries or fruit.

Food is horrible due to sanitation . Lots of unhygienic people staying there. Roaches in the room. It’s a what you pay for is what you get. Two of the gentleman in the front the younger ones very nice . There were two older employees there one which I believe does laundry, very rude and mean. When I will ask for towels he will signal me no! I did not want people going in the room to clean because I was sleeping at the time. I had brain surgery a few months ago and due to that I can’t sleep at night and tend to sleep in the morning. So I would try to clean the room and due to that we’ll have to go. Ask for clean towels or toilet paper. The rude employees will tell me that I should get that from housekeeping when they come by. I still needed a room for another two weeks, but decided to go somewhere else. As I mentioned not all employees were rude. No matter what I paid, if all I asked for was towels or toilet tissue I don’t see why I should’ve been treated with an attitude for asking. I checked out but this was the first time I had to buy roach spray to stay somewhere. I thought I would use the fridge so I can eat there and save a buck from spending at a store but with roaches you can imagine my appetite .

I stayed at this EconoLodge because we were visiting a friend at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. We were greeted promptly and with courtesy. I got our keys and went to out rooms. Both rooms were very clean. They were professionally done; by that I mean the beds were made, floors swept and mopped, all surfaces cleaned, sink cleaned, bathroom cleaned, with the toilet and tub sparkling. As far as bed comfort goes, the bed was a firm for me, but that's OK, it was only for 1 night. Overall, I thought it was a great stay. I have stayed in very much worse for the same price.

The rooms had roaches everywhere. Not a place i wanna go back too.

Bad: Room has a mildewy smell. Pictures showed a big breakfast offering. Reality was cereal and mostly cold things. Not what we thought it would be. "Lot lizards" crawling all over. The place obviously need some money pumped into it as there is a lot of wear and tear. Beds were fairly uncomfortable but were clean.

Got what we expected, generally satisfactory, and had no major issues with the hotel. Also, Harry at the front desk was kind and helped me with my car shipping by letting us leave the car in the parking lot after check-out and keeping the car key for the truck driver. We stayed here for one night before flight, and if you are looking for a short stay at an affordable price, this will be a good choice. But the couch was worn out and the leather cover was coming off. Don't expect much of their comp breakfast and you will encounter a couple of roaches on your way to the toilet at night.

Well, it is an older hotel but the rooms were okay. The main issue was that there was no breakfast - just a wafflemaker, juice and coffee. They could easily put in a toaster, some bread, bagels, etc.

It provided the necessities, no coffee in the room, not close ice machine.

First off let me say the staff was very kind. I believe EXPEDIA needs to vet properties that they are going to 3rd party with. I ended up having to book another room to finish off my stay in Raleigh. I would like to know if it is a hotel/motel that has long term residences living in them. I lost money because of this booking.

I asked for a refund at the door. Payment was broken and uneven, people all over the parking lot and man behind the counter said I had to call hotels to get my money back. I did not stay, I was not given a room key, I just wanted to find a safe place to spend the night.

It was a good price, the staff that I encountered were nice and responsive, it’s close to I-40, and it was quiet even though the highway is nearby. I didn’t have any issues really. I just wish the mattress was more comfortable and that the blanket was thicker

Filthy place inside and out. Felt incredibly unsafe based on residents and area. One day my key card wasn’t working so I went to the desk and they only asked what room I was in and reactivated it. Didn’t ask who I was, no ID check, nothing. I could have told them any room I wanted to enter. Scary! Room walls were filthy, outdated, outside area unkempt, whole place smelled like weed. If my stay was longer than 2 nights I would have left and moved to another hotel. I felt like I was staying at a crackhouse. Not worth it to try to save a few bucks. Go somewhere else and pay for safety and professionalism.

The room was great. They have the necessities. The only problem was there was a chair that was not cleaned. It was so dirty. But overall if you are looking for something to stay for the night. It's mid. It's a hit or miss I guess. I didn't also stay for the night.

Our room was nicer than the picture on expedia and was super clean. My wife became ill on our trip to Durham and she rested very good and the front desk was so nice and helped me with the vending machine to get my wife some snacks. We were very pleased.

People in other rooms shouting and carrying on at all hours. Called the front desk multiple times and no one answered. Furniture in poor condition. Breakfast has limited options and dirty tables in a dingy room. It's a dump.

Budget Motel. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Outside area was well lighted at night. Breakfast was simple but had waffle makers. Good stay for one night.

The rooms are clean and well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it's close to my job site. The parking lot is small and awkward and sometimes it's hard to find a space near my room when I return late at night, but once I'm parked the stay is great.

The bldg was close to a main road, which made it convenient, but the heavy traffic could be heard in the room. There were what appeared to be several homeless individuals in and around the area which made it feel very sketch. The room itself was clean, but it was very old and smelled of a dirty mop. It also only had 2 very flat pillows on the bed. We had to ask for additional towels, etc. to accommodate 2 people in the room.

We booked this hotel for a two-night stay but ended up leaving after just one night. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor, almost like mold, that made it difficult to stay in. The bathroom was dirty, and it was clear the shower curtain hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We hoped that running the AC might help with the smell, but it remained overpowering, even by morning. Given the poor conditions, we checked out early and booked another hotel for the second night. We requested a refund, but the hotel staff directed us to contact Expedia. Unfortunately, Expedia was unable to assist with the refund either. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and we would not recommend staying here.

This place has a deceptive rating. We arrived late in the night so we had no choice but to stay. My room 155 had a strong musty dingy smell. The floors were a combination of sticky, slippery and slimy. The bathroom ceiling was covered with black mold. The floors were filthy and had black mold on the edges. It did not have a functioning exhaust fan, when I took a shower, the shower head was shooting water into the walls and floor which would explain the black mold and musty smell all throughout the room. This room should be shut down immediately and condemned as a health hazard. Terrible experience overall.

The property was 10 mins away from where I needed to go! I seen roaches, walls was dirty, floors had holes in them. Linen had cigarette holes, dope head walking around all over through out the night!
