Rooms were clean, staff was very attentive and helpful.

The front desk people were friendly. However the room had large stains on the carpet. The elevators were also dirty and looked unkept. However, the continental breakfast was good.

We had a wonderful experience for our stay. Staff were friendly and efficient, the room was cool, clean, and comfortable, and not only was there a large choice of breakfast, but everything tasted great too. My kids loved that they got to make their waffles fresh! The only thing slightly negative was the entrance only to the premises. The hotel is located right next to the interstate and the turn into the parking lot is very close to the traffic lights. If you're not in the correct lane, there is very little time to adjust and it's on a one way street.

Room was clean and comfortable I parked my vehicle close to the building and under a light. The window was busted out and my vehicle was ransacked and almost everything in it was stolen. Another gentleman staying there told me his vehicle was also broken into and property stolen when he stayed there.

I have enjoy my stays at the Comfort Inn, our refractor’s door hinge was loose and the recitation wasn’t”r as cold as it usually is.

Don’t clean up the rooms during your stay, don’t freshen up the room either. If you happen to need an extra towel you have to go to the lobby to try to get one. Breakfast ran out before ten am. It felt like a hostal in a third world country. Definitely overpriced for the service provided.

This establishment is right off the highway exit. This makes it very convenient for road travellers. It is a very clean hotel. The cleaners do a fantastic job, and they are very friendly and deserve respect! The ease of checking in was fantastic. The set up of the hotel was nice, especially for graduation. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. There is also ample parking.

I had a horrible experience. The bathroom ceiling had peeling paint. The carpet in the room had old food, the food was dried up meaning it was there for a long time (I never brought any food into the hotel). Also, I have pictures . The only reason I gave two stars was because of the breakfast, you can tell the breakfast ladies love their jobs. If not for the breakfast, I will give a negative star if possible. The cleaners are not doing a good job at all. No way I’m staying in a hotel like that again.

It’s a place to stay when others are way over priced or unavailable. We paid over $350 a night during Duke graduation weekend, and it’s definitely not a $350 a night hotel….maybe $120. But it’s clean.

The hotel is in a great location and very safe area. Close to the highway but very quiet. There is a gas station across the street which is convenient. The hotel is very quiet but also family friendly. There is also free parking available The rooms are always very clean and the beds are so comfortable. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast offered is very good. The pool is great for a quick swim in the summer.

This is a nice hotel convenient to Duke and Durham. It has been renovated and the bathroom is very nice. It still is a bit tired in some areas, however. It was quiet. I would recommend this as a good value.

The stay was easy. However, when I got to my room I noticed there was trashed still left in the trash can, there was strains of hair in the sink, and the shower wasn't clean. I was there on a business meeting and had multiple meetings, so I didn't have time to speak with anyone. When I got ready to check-out, I informed the front desk of the situation and she wasn't very warming. Sorry just my intake and opinion.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room fridge wasn't working at all though, and the lights in the parking lot were so bright it was like broad daylight at midnight. The blackout curtains couldn't keep out the light.

The hotel was clean, rooms were comfortable, staff was exceptional. However, some of the furniture was a bit beaten up, and the guests were awakened with the fire alarm in the middle of the night. The alarm was unavoidable, but the front desk manager allowed an extended late checkout due to the inconvenience. It was a little noisy due to where my room was located, but overall, it was a comfortable stay. I definitely would stay at this property again.

Fire alarm went off late at night, none of the workers acknowledged it or explained what was going on after the fact. The lady working that night was rude and barely acknowledged me when I asked what caused it to go off. Room was decent and clean but had a very old smell to it. Won’t be back.

The water pressure on 5th floor was weak at best. But the staff was so friendly and helpful. I reported my few issues to the checkout clerk and otherwise would and likely will stay here again.

The room was nice. The bathroom was beautiful cause I love the walk-in shower, but they had bugs coming from the ceiling and all over the AC. I don’t know what kind of bugs They don’t look like bedbugs at all, but I told them they need to get someone to clean them up because they was all over the window and they was crawling on the ceiling. This stay was absolutely HORRIFIC. Do not stay here unless you want your car vandalized. 17 cars including my own were vandalized during my 1 night stay. The front desk said nothing at all when turning my room key in. I had no idea this happened until I got to my car. When going back in to tell the front desk they acted like it was not a big deal. Offered no tape or trash bags or anything to secure the window so I could make my 5 hour drive home in 30 degree weather. They stated that whatever happens in the parking lot is not their problem.

Convenient location. Breakfast as expected. But the major issue (and not the hotel’s fault necessarily) was approximately 10 cars had windows smashed in. What a disturbing discovery the next morning.

Room and bed in very good condition, very clean. Pleasant check-in clerk. On the negative side, bedside lamp didn’t work and the shower doors are designed so you have to lean in most of the way and get wet to turn on and adjust water. Breakfast “eggs” didn’t taste like actual food.

Super clean updated room, great location for my wife's outpatient surgery. Only flaw was thermostate was set on 65 in January and room still was hot. If we need to spend the night in the area again, we will stay here.

The hotel's close proximity to Duke Hospital was a definite plus for us. Additionally, the hotel's close proximity to I-85 and other Durham freeways made it easy to quickly be at any of many restaurants, grocery stores and shopping malls.

This hotel is my “go to” whenever I have to stay in Durham. It has everything I’m looking for in a hotel. It’s clean The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is friendly.

Bed bugs in the room. Got bitten all over. Complained to the office and they didn’t seem to care. Asked for a refund and are not really interested in helping. Left at around midnight and went to get another hotel.

Covers were dirty, not just stains but some crusty white stuff ( I don’t want to know what that was) front desk attendant was rude and senile, we didn’t seem to know how to answer any of my questions. Outdated rooms with furniture that looks like it’s from your great grandmothers basement. I wouldn’t expect too much but for very high prices this was inexcusable. No one supervised the front area so anyone at anytime can walk in and just go up the elevator or through the hotel. Plus if you’re looking for staff, good luck and the front desk bell doesn’t work because it’s strewed down so you cannot tap it. The bananas for breakfast were brown and all bruised and that was the only option and it’s paired with box eggs and greasy sausage and that’s your only option outside of cereal and making a waffle. Parking is limited and the location is directly off of the highway so it’s hard to exit the hotel onto the main road. People were in the hallway talking very loud at night and during the morning. I wish the staff would ensure visitors weren’t sitting around in the hallway as a hangout spot.

We checked in very late and James the front my desk attendant was super kind and helpful. He walked us out to car to make sure we were safe getting our luggage and also help guide us for parking. We weren’t sure what to expect since we booked it while traveling and an hour before arrival and we were extremely pleased.

I would give -5000 stars if I could. The parking lot is nothing short of an absolute crapshow. The lady at the night desk, literally didn’t give a damn. Didn’t even check in. Had my non-refundable room refunded without issue though, Expedia were wonderful. As were the local police department!

First impression with the front desk staff, greeting was terrible, no hi, no how are you. Very flat face. Noticed the bad odor as soon as we entered the hallways. Odor was worse once entering the room. About 30 mins of being in the room, I noticed a roach crawling from the bathroom. We immediately packed up, informed the front desk. We shook all of our things before entering our vehicle. I’m still waiting for a refund.

My husband and I have stayed here for years when he visits the BA, a short distance down the street. I feel comfortable here while he is in the hospital, and always have. Great place to stay!

When I booked this property, I looked at the reviews and the limited pictures. However, I was fooled. The property was not well maintained and it had stains on the hall and room carpet. The room and carpet smelled musty and damp and the AC ran continuously. The room furniture was worn and had chunks missing. I was stuck because of my pre-pay.

Bathroom shower door was installed incorrectly. A lot of water would spill out onto the floor and into the entryway. The bathroom door was very water logged and was extremely hard to open and close.

Most of my stay was very good with no complaints. On Sunday night however, there was a group of people right under my window in the smoking area that partied very late into early morning and smoked a lot of pot that invaded the rooms near that area. I realize this was not hotel staff, etc. but felt it should have been addressed by staff

I prepaid our room and when we arrived, we were told that we got the handicapped room on the first floor, next to the pool (where they keep spotlights on all night facing the building-specifically our room, and the freeway was right there too!) Needless to say, we didn’t sleep well at all. The breakfast was okay. Coffee was just average and came out of a NesCafe machine. Never want to stay there again.

We left after one night and fortunately I got a refund for a nonrefundable 2nd night. The walls are paper thin- we could hear the next door people talking as if they were in our room at midnight. We called 3x to the front desk to ask them to be quiet. Then, at 1230am, a van full of people pulled into the parking lot and were making a ton of noise that you could hear in our room. The van wasn't there the next morning so no idea who they were. This hotel is a 1star. I will never stay in a Comfort Suites again. My first time staying in one in TX was similar.

This hotel was ok. The person who checked us in was really nice, and check-in was quick. The hotel seemed very moist - the humidity didn't go away even after we turned on the A/C. The pool was ok - it needs some work, like most of the common areas of the hotel. The bathroom looked clean and upgraded, but a lot of the other areas in the hotel were a bit run down. Breakfast was ok.

The hotel was conveniently located right off the highway and was only about 20-25 mins from the airport. Check in was quick and simple.

Our room seemed fine at first, minus a few oversights with cleanliness (grease stains from someone else's head on the headboard being one example.) Again, whatever, I cleaned it up myself. We try to sleep that evening and discover that the actual blackout curtain isn't even designed to cover the window, and the flood lights from the pool are shining into the room all night. There are two flimsy white curtains that don't do much. ..Now I'm getting irritated. Into the night, we wake up with water covering our skin. The A/C, upon inspection, has water in it and is blowing so much humidity into the room that ALL our clothes are now damp, the floor is damp, and I had to turn it off. It's 3am and I don't have the energy to deal with it and I have a doctor's appointment in the morning. Came back that evening and took a shower to discover a raw sewage smell coming from the shower drain. We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn't tolerate it. I contacted the property manager through Expedia and asked for a refund for the night we didn't stay due to intolerable conditions, and was refused that simple, reasonable request. In summary: wouldn't recommend staying here if you like sleeping and not getting sick.

Property was renovated and clean, but it still had some features that were not, such as an old connecting door. Tile floor near entrance was wet and a bit slippery because of humidity. Wasn’t able to connect to Wi-Fi.

Location and price were good. Smelled musty, room door latch and deadbolt not lined up.

The desk clerk was very rude and non responsive to our needs. We had to go sleep in the car until we were granted entry to the rooms we had reserved. When we returned to the office the clerk was still so uncaring that even then questioned our decision to stay. We did stay and the other staff that assisted us the next two days were wonderful.

However, there are some downsides: the area around the pool was dirty, and the sound insulation is extremely poor. On one side, we had noisy neighbors who kept making noise, and on the other side, we could literally hear someone jumping. And the worst part: who came up with the idea of putting coffee, tea, and a kettle in the bathroom?! Seriously? Right under the hairdryer, and to top it all off — a bottle of body lotion placed right above it. LOL. All in all, the hotel isn’t bad — but some things definitely need improvement.

Well, I will say this - don't pick this location based on the breakfast selection!

We had a 3 night stay and were able to rest and relax in a well kept facility.

The room and bathroom was both exceptionally clean. I will continue to stay there, if rooms are available as soon as my love one is in the nearby hospital.

Very easy access from Hwy 85. Nice clean facility. Good size rooms. Shower vs. Bathtub (better)
