There is a note in the room that tells people not to use the fan in the bathroom.
- 4/5
Old style motel on Durango’s main road with southwest decor. I slept in the little “cozy” room filled with a queen size bed which was perfect for my one night stay. Little fridge and electric kettle for tea or pour-over coffee in the room. The office staff was welcoming and helpful. Very clean. One bedside light was not working, but I didn’t care so I didn’t report it until I left. I’m sure they would have taken care of it if I had. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a simple, clean, cute, and reasonably priced place to stay in Durango.
- 5/5
Great location and amenities with wonderful staff. Highly recommended
- 4/5
Staff helpful and room clean.
- 5/5
The check-in was perfect and I loved that part of my phone number was the room code. Very convenient. Ultimately I left behind an item. It was after 5pm that I realized what I had done. The front office was super helpful and even checked a place or two places while we were speaking. It took a little longer to find what I had left behind, but it was found. The motel was very nice, but honestly I think I would recommend them on staff alone!! As we have family in Durango, chances are very good that we'll stay at the Siesta Motel again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, well maintained property, great location, and parking in front of your room.
- 5/5
Surprisingly amazing stay here
- 5/5
Cool, unique place to stay
- 5/5
This motel was everything we needed, a very cute place. Loved the unique look to it. Owner was very sweet and helpful.
- 5/5
Old motel converted into a super cute stay! Practical amenities, good pour overs in the rooms, and accommodating staff. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Cute renovated motel. Super clean facility and room. Not much parking since we had a trailer but able to park behind the motel and felt secure! Friendly staff!
- 5/5
Clean, cute, easy to find.
- 5/5
So much better than we thought it would be! Huge rooms, marvelous common spaces, and very comfy beds. We loved it and would choose the Siesta Motel over one of the cramped uninteresting chain hotels any day!
- 5/5
I have stayed there a few times now and it’s my favorite place. Traveling by myself this time and it always feels super safe
- 5/5
There was plenty of parking and the room was easily accessible. The staff was great, amd communicated with us very clearly about our late check in. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. My family loved staying there. I would absolutely stay there again.
- 5/5
Lovely place
- 5/5
We love this place! Pet friendly! They even brought my dog a bed and a blanket for the bed! Great coffee, creamer, filtered water! Quiet! I accidentally booked 2 rooms for the same day and she emailed me letting me know! Luckily, she did because we wouldn’t have had a reservation for our first night there! Highly recommend this place!
- 5/5
What a cute little motel full of thoughtful amenities! And loved the environmentally friendly touches. Bed was super comfy, room was clean and affordable! Would definitely stay here again!! Plus, great access to Animas Trail, and pour over coffee with local grounds--in the room!
- 5/5
The room was comfortable for one person. I like being able to park in front of the room.
- 5/5
We didn't need to use the air conditioner on this trip, we just opened the window.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly. Fun vibe. We also appreciated that we couldn’t hear our neighbors through our wall even when we knew they were hanging out and chatting.
- 5/5
Cute little motel. Will be back for sure
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Clean rooms, super helpful staff. Traveled with dogs. Great place to stay
- 5/5
I highly recommend the Siesta Motel! We were incredibly impressed with their flexibility regarding our changing schedule, and their communication via text was very kind and amenable. The rooms were spotlessly clean, very well-kept, and showed excellent attention to detail. They truly make you feel like a close friend is staying, rather than just a transient visitor. We thoroughly enjoyed our overall stay.
- 5/5
Great overnight stay, passing through. Clean, comfortable bed. Easy check-in/check-out. Lots of places to shop and eat in town.
- 5/5
Great overnight stay. Not a lot of amenities but for someone needing a comfortable bed, clean room and shower made for a perfect stay. Cute retro decor.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, easy to communicate with. The room was nice and clean. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Nicely updated. Adorable. Quiet. Well-appointed. Great service
- 3/5
The staff and customer service was great, the room was very clean and updated. However, there was a few things that effected my stay. It’s next to a busy road so it can be loud. If anyone is outside doing anything you’ll hear the it all. There was a person blaring music for a while and it sounded like it was in the room. The water for the shower was cold, and the smoke detector started going off with a loud beep stating at around 2 am going into the morning, so I didn’t get much sleep. I’ll overall it’s ok especially for the price and how clean everything is, just not a great overall experience.
- 5/5
Wonderful remodeled older motel. Great for a resting and a good night's sleep. Very comfortable bed And pillows.
- 5/5
Although small, it was well appointed! Nice fresh clean smell. No overpowering cleaning solution smell.
- 5/5
We fell in love with the place, the rooms, the decorations, cleanliness, amenities offered, and the hospitality we received . It is a little gem that we’re glad we found and made our stay in Durango even better. It was a fresh and new experience for our family.
- 5/5
Updated room. Very clean
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at the Siesta Motel. The bed was comfortable, the room was super clean, and I loved the pour over coffee option in the room. The staff is also great. I would stay here again for sure.
- 5/5
Excellent room .very clean ,with drive to the door parking. Great for unloading for an extended stay .Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Very pleased with the room. Cozy, colorful and comfortable. Thank you
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 5/5
Room size felt spacious because furnishings were scaled to fit. It was clean, stylishly, though simply, decorated and had all that I needed. Ice, additional linens, stemmed wine glasses, etc. were available in The Closet, a common supply room open to guests. The upscale toiletries and locally roasted coffee were nice, unexpected touches.
- 5/5
The room was spotless and just what we needed to spend the night.
- 5/5
Great place and reasonable price.
- 3/5
This is definitely a place for a one night, quick stay. It is right off the main road and is very loud & you can also hear the doors of the rooms around you & people talking. It’s not a bad place for a quick stay. They have a great little ice and water room with some necessities if you forget things in your trip!

- 5/5
Nice casual stay. Its a Motel, not a Hotel. As such, it was perfect.
- 5/5
Clean room. Very small but comfortable.
- 5/5
Cute little rooms and nice fresh local coffee one can brew fresh
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and very clean would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
The kitchenette had a refrigerator with freezer, microwave and water heater. It was exceptionally clean and had super-helpful little (loving) details such as cups, silverware and access to icemachine
- 5/5
We liked the location as we spent three days in Durango, adventuring. Parking was tricky, however, if we got back later in the evening. The guest closet was helpful for ice and other supplies.Loved the decor and big sign at entrance.
- 4/5
The property, in my opinion, was great. Due to the age of the property, some amenities some people would be use to from more modern chain hotels are not available here. But, the owners try very hard to make a comfortable stay for their guests. My room was very small. But, I had everything I needed: a comfy bed, a shower, clean room/bathroom and a small refrigerator. I would definitely stay at this property again in the future.
- 4/5
Very old retro type motel like the 1950s. Rooms were old. Nice staff. If you’re looking for luxury, move on. If you just need a bed with no frills, this works. Parking lot was a nightmare!
- 4/5
The staff were very helpful and nice. They kept in touch via text to ask if we needed anything. They had the best coffee .
- 5/5
Amazing customer service. Cute as a bug. Recent upgrade is a delight. Clean, lots of in room amenities. Will stay again
- 4/5
Good for one night, bed was comfortable
- 5/5
Great deal. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Easy check in. Clean property.
- 5/5
Everything else was wonderful!
- 5/5
Fantastic!!
- 2/5
Way overpriced for a room with concrete floors, sink that wouldn’t drain and an extremely small shower. The roll up blind also broke and the A/C and fan unit was very loud. We’re campers so we weren’t looking for luxury but a decent place to relax for the money paid. Staff was friendly though.
- 5/5
This is my second time staying here and I love it. I Love the fun decor and comfortable bedding and its overall charm. I travel to Durango for work, and as a woman traveling alone I feel safe staying here
- 5/5
Very clean , friendly staff. Only down side was parking. Parking very tight, no room to maneuver
- 4/5
This is a 1950ish style motel. Rooms are small. But other then that. The rooms were very clean and bed was excellent. Staff was friendly. So if you don't mind a small room, then this is an excellent choice to stay.
- 5/5
We were very happy with this cute little motel. The management texted several times checking to make sure our needs were being met. She solved small issues immediately.(TV) It was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Great little motel!
- 5/5
Place was very comfortable and felt very cozy. Check in was a breeze and communication with the staff was easy. Great place!
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly, able to park in front of the room, and the place was clean and quiet. Plus, it’s close to plenty of dining spots. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
What a great little mom and pop place! We enjoyed the personal service and helpfulness of the owners. We totally loved the ambiance of a ‘renewed’ 50s style motel. We will definitely be staying here again.
- 4/5
The Siesta Motel is very much as described on the website, classic motor court style updated in a bright fun unique style. Comfy queen bed, modern mini fridge and electric kettle, remodeled bath with spacious shower and updated hardware. Management offers 24/7 access to their amenities closet. Because rooms would have originally accommodated a double bed, space is a bit tight with a queen. Storage drawers under a platform bed and more hooks and shelving would have been a plus.
- 5/5
The owner was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable room was cool. Coffee was nice in room.
- 3/5

- 5/5
Great quiet place. Best sleep I had in five days. Communication was excellent! F you are in Durango I highly recommend this place!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
- 5/5
Helpful and pleasant. Very good condition for its age and very cute
- 5/5
This motel has been remodeled and was done very nice. Our room was small, but it had everything wr needed, was very clean, and comfortable. There are chairs outside to use as well as tables and a grill that are on a very nice lawn.
- 5/5
Cute with nice decor and attention to detail.
- 5/5
Siesta Motel is a unique experience. Not typical which is good! Newly renovated 1950’s motel.
- 5/5
I’ve been on a week long trip staying at a different hotel every night and I think this place is my favorite. Must stay if in Durango
- 5/5
Nice clean room, bathroom was remodeled & very nice & clean.
- 5/5
Manager was very nice. Great little courtyard to relax in! Wish there was a microwave in room. Would stay again!
- 5/5
Adorable, clean, and safe. A perfect place to rest after a day of adventuring. Walkable to coffee, pastries and barbecue. Wall unit A/C cools in minutes and the room is stocked with heavenly local coffee. Don’t give your dollars to Big Hotel, stay local!
- 5/5
I love the renovated older motel. It reminded me of stays with my family when I was just a kid. They have certainly brought that feeling into the present.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at this newly renovated retro style motel! Reminded us of our stays growing up. The front desk was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay in Durango CO
- 5/5
This was such an unexpected find. Quaint little motel with wonderful staff willing to go above and beyond. Out check-in person was so friendly and helpful. They even had wine glasses for us to use.
- 5/5
The Siesta has real charm, with care given to sustainability and customer comfort. Su h a refreshing change from bland modern hotel chains.
- 5/5
Good value and love the free pourover coffee.
- 5/5
Great little place for a quiet stay. At the edge of down. Enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Very clean, updated property with chic deco. Comfy beds, dog friendly, great gazebo for family time or leisure time. Just up the road from Main Street. We loved the service…we felt welcomed and not lost amongst many.
- 5/5
Peaceful. The outdoor area was perfect to unwind in the fresh air Staff at the desk was friendly and knowledgeable- very helpful
- 5/5
The host was very friendly and responsive too! They even offered us bikes to check out free for a bike ride or to ride to town. It was so much fun. We decided we wanted to do the day train ride from Durango to Silverton but didn't have a car that day to drive to the train station. The trolley was just a block away which made it so convenient as it takes you really close to the train station and also free. Overall we loved it and would stay here again. The room was great, it had a sofa bed and two full size bunk beds that fit two people each, very comfortable! Our family of 5 was happy to stay here. There was a nice little kitchen with a stove, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, cups and silverware for those of you planning a longer stay. We were traveling from Texas and when you hear 'motel' you aren't expecting more than what you pay. Here it was the opposite, the hosts were very accomodating that you forget you're in a motel.
- 5/5
The rooms have been upgraded, but the room size is smaller than chain hotels. Everything worked fine. The courtyard is very nice. Better in the evening when the traffic dies down.
- 5/5
It was a last minute stop but it was a nice surprise. It’s a bit dated but that added to the charm. Would definitely stay again
- 5/5
Great retro hotel, super cute and a great place to stay!
- 5/5
We loved the Siesta Motel. They have thought of everything you need for a great stay. My kids especially loved being able to take one of their bikes on the Animas River Trail; highly recommend doing if you have the time. Bed and pillows were top notch after a long day of traveling.
- 5/5
Absolutely the best stay we’ve had anywhere in years. So much thought has gone into making this a memorable and enjoyable stay that inspires you to unplug from the phone and spending quality time together.
- 5/5
An amazingly cute little remodeled 1960s hotel. Super clean. Office staff and housekeeping polite and helpful. Excellent location. Outdoor area made the room feel bigger. Bathroom was huge!
- 5/5
Great stop with clean room on a longer trip
- 5/5
Loved our stay, cute and comfy.
- 5/5
Old school set up, and very comfortable
- 3/5
Is was eclectic Concrete floors were a surprise! The door needs work we could see the outside light inside. My husband loved it Me not so much. Your helper that speaks english was DELIGHTFUL!!!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful two night stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and updated rooms with top line frig and microwave, and nice lighting. Lots of thoughtful amenities like their room pour coffee system, service room for extras, and eco friendly soaps. Great location to get around Durango too. Very reasonably priced. We’d definitely stay there again, and highly recommend to others!
- 5/5
Love all the amenities in the room! Great place, fun and bright rooms
- 5/5
Great! Retro-Mod 50’s motel. Totally safe. NO Norman Bates or film noir P I’s hanging around! Super Cute Fridge!
- 5/5
And the price is right.
- 5/5
The Siesta Motel is a no-frills hotel, but it was very comfortable! There is a refrigerator and coffee available in the rooms, as well as filtered water and ice convenient to all rooms. It is convenient and clean. We would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
The location was easy to get to and the service was above and beyond. The room was very spacious and clean, we felt very comfortable there.
- 2/5
Bed was very uncomfortable and I was unable to sleep at all.
- 5/5
Absolutely an outstanding property. It has beautiful grounds and the rooms are comfortable. We had the queen size bunk beds and it was a great family "sleepover". The gazebo game room was fun too.
- 5/5
We were arriving late- called and they were able to accommodate a late check in. The place was cute- well kept and clean. Enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
It’s an older place that’s been updated and well maintained. Friendly staff, and was quiet for being sold out. Nice bed and pillows!
- 5/5
Awesome staff, awesome place to stay, very affordable AND super dog friendly! Will be staying here again, thank you!!!
- 4/5
Small room but adequate for 2 and there is a cozy gazebo area to hang out for more space.
- 5/5
wonderful vintage motel with a nice renovation that maintains the charm but offers a cheerful update. nice dispensers for upscale soap, lotions, and such are thoughtful additions. Bikes are available for free as is parking in front of each room. Bed was very comfortable. Spent 3 nights and would happily return.
- 5/5
We had such and amazing stay, our doggies had a great time and we were l comfortable. Super clean and amazing service. We will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Easy and convenient location for my northern durango adventures. Food and coffee shops in walking distance. Also nearby river walk trails. Thanks for the tip about tight parking spots. Glad i drove my smaller vehicle. Dog friendly. Quiet and clean.
- 5/5
Such beautiful accommodations!! Our room was super cute and we loved the pour over station. We will definitely stay here again!
- 3/5
It’s a reasonable property but nothing fancy. I know cement floors are more acceptable these days but not my preference. So kind of bare bones with few extras.
- 5/5
Very dog friendly!
- 5/5
We arrived late but we checked in online and it was easy! No problem! The room was very cozy and retro, very clean with great decor! We are definitely gonna be staying here each trip to Durango. I love this place.
- 5/5
Cute place.
- 4/5
Very quaint and enjoyable stay!
- 5/5
Such a cool place. I loved the remodel, fun and kinda quirky. Hayden was very helpful with check-in. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Loved the retro vibe!
- 5/5
Super helpful front desk. Easy check in. No hassle whatsoever. Does not get any better.
- 4/5
Cool, nostalgic motel.
- 5/5
Such a cute and comfortable room! And the pour-over coffee provided was really fun to try, not to mention delish.
- 4/5
Super cute locally owned motel with nice upgrades and thoughtful touches. Given that it was an older motel with original windows and doors in the front it and an uninsulated AC unit it was a bit noisy when people passed but we solved that by turning the AC fan on. The rooms and property were lovely and I really appreciated all the thoughtful little touches, like a pour over coffee station, a phone holder in the bathroom, and a blanket for our dogs. We would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Comfortable room, pet friendly property.
- 5/5
Place was amazing! Beds were comfortable! Room was really clean and love the amenities the place offers. Definitely will continue to stay here for future visits to Durango. Much nicer then the holiday inn we stay at last time.
- 3/5
Usually this is our go to place when we visit the Durango hot springs but my son had dropped his ball under the bed. When he went under the bed to retrieve his toy he came back up with his hair and clothes covered in dust.
- 5/5
They have done a great job taking an old property and making it seem new without eliminating the character of the place. Is clean, quaint, comfortable, pet friendly. The price is right and proper. The property is right in the main road to town yet still quiet.
- 5/5
The owners were kind and accommodating. The rooms were nicely updated.
- 5/5
Very charming hotel, updated, clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
It looks renovated, nice small room, we loved it
- 5/5
Loved it
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, spartan, but efficient and functional. Excellent coffee and owner is proactive offering good customer service. Close to the road so easy to find.
- 5/5
We had great Fall foliage trip to the San Juan mountains and this was a great base camp for our trip. The new owners Dan and Hannah have done outstanding job making this small roadside motel clean, comfortable, safe and with a retro fun vibe. The gazebo "cactus club" which used to have a hot tub, now has a record player, with comfy sofa and chairs to chill and listen to some old vinyl albums under the ambient lights. Great place to hang out as family. There's also bike rentals available, coffee in the room, and nice flat panel tv. It's also on northern edge of town so turn left out of the parking lot and your'e on your way up highway 550 to explore the mountains. Thanks again Dan and Hannah for great stay, we will be back! KJ, LJ & Zippy!
- 5/5
It was a very pleasant stay, What a nice little motel. Comfy and nostalgic. Very Americana!
- 5/5
Very unique and charming with an extremely comfortable bed! Also very clean!
- 5/5
The people who own this hotel have done a very nice job updating the insides and outsides. Everything was very modern. TVs, outlets next to the bed and everything in the bathroom. Just a nice place to say
- 5/5
Super cute little place! Wonderfully friendly staff and great family feel. They did an excellent job giving an old motel a new life! They added a few features, like the gazebo in front and bike rentals.
- 2/5
Tiny room, paper thin walls, cramped parking, lousy coffee service. The "Retro" thing is cute, but I could have stayed eles where for the same cost and had a real room with better parking and coffee.
- 5/5
The owners have made this the perfect stop for outdoorsy folks. It is comfortable, well appointed and is chocked full of thoughtful ways to make your stay restful and enjoyable. Thanks Hannah and Dan! I'll be back for sure.
- 5/5
Check in was done electronically, and the hotel automatically sent check in info when we were on late side of arrival time. Parking was not plentiful and very little room to maneuver, but the property otherwise was very nice, clean, cozy.
- 4/5
Motel was clean and owner was very nice and friendly. Iour stay stay was for two nights but we were there basically just to sleep. Bed was comfortable. Remodeling has been done but a few things i found are more suggestions than complaints. The cement floor needs some kind of covering or epoxy on it. Could use an extra shelf or something for toiletries in the bathrooms. The biggest problem was parking was tight! Otherwise clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Fun motel in Durango. Redone in a modern way but also had some cool 70’s feel. Rooms were spotless, staff was great, and pour over coffee in the room was such an awesome touch.
- 5/5
The shower head was awkward wouldn’t move. No coffee filters. No one is ever in the office you have to call a number but other than that it was good!
- 2/5
This is a very old motel. The owner has tried to make it modern and chic by putting modern appliances and decor without changing the underlying structure. It smells of old buildings and cement floor is old without any covering— no carpet, wood , vinyl etc and looked dirty. It was the only room available in Durango and had such high reviews that I decided to book online, although I was ready to drive another 30 minutes to another town. There is no one on the property to ask anything. Cleaning staff was unhelpful due to language barrier. I paid almost 300 for one night and felt cheated. I am also unhappy with orbitz for allowing these cheap motels charging ridiculous rates and collecting huge commissions without vetting the place and simply relying on reviews. Disappointed
- 5/5
This is such an adorable place!! The pour over coffee was wonderful and from a local roaster. Loved being able to cook meals in our room which was perfect for our large family!! There was easy access to extra items we needed and the staff was fantastic!! Hannah one of the owners even texted some suggestions on restaurants in the area and was so friendly!! Love supporting a family owned place you can tell the difference vs the chain places. Highly recommend if you are stopping in Durango.
- 5/5
Nice soap products. Very cute, room has everything well thought out!
- 5/5
Nice old 50s motor hotel. Nicely renovated rooms, patio furniture and tables. A nice experience.
- 5/5
Great location for me!
- 5/5
The room was small, but for a short overnight stay, it was perfect. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Fun and easy
- 5/5
Very nice, economical place to bunk while you visit Durango. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
We love this place. Been staying here for years. When the original owners sold the motel we were devistated. So for us to find out that new owners bought it and kept thee siesta going (but new and improved,) we couldn’t wait to book a stay. The new ownership has done a really nice job modernizing the place but keeping the original feel.
