Everything was great I loved everything

The room was nice! The hot tub didn’t work which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel so that was disappointing. The morning breakfast staff were amazing. Jo made our morning. She was sweet and funny. Overall a great place to stay!
- 2/5
I rated this poor because the staff is very unprofessional. The attitude is not only disrespectful but if you ever want to feel unwelcomed this is the place. Pool and Hot tub are not available and it seems that it is that way for every location no matter where we traveled. Probably will not stay at LaQuinta since they offer the admenities but are not truely available. The pool and hot tub are always closed. We went to have breakfast and the food was terrible. Then as we patiently waited for the kitchen to cook the food the cook left for 20 minutes and we watched other customers ask the front desk for help and the lady at the front desk statement was "God forbidd someone has to use the bathroom". That did not seem to be the case because the woman running the kitchen left for 20 minutes in tears. There was no coffee for 20 minutes. No cold water for the entire 40 minutes we sat there waiting. Hot water was cold and never refilled. When the lady returned she was snappying at customers for asking for coffee, water, and syrup. I heard a customer say "I guess I will have to skip eating this morning". I over heard other customers asking for assistance and was given an attitude. The area was very dirty. If you don't want to work in the industry of serving people then find somewhere else to work because we pay good money to receive these services. Pool, hot tub, breakfast, and a clean welcoming place to stay. I do not recommend this place. Very disappointed.

Great hotel with great prices. The restaurant on site was very convenient!

Hot tub was not working and staff did not know when it would be ready. Rooms were not clean , beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Our shower door was not working properly and one of our refrigerators was not working and insides were taken out. Hallways were dirty with dust and candy in the corners. Our overall experience was not good and I’m working hard to remedy this problem. Also there was a light sitting on the edge of the pool and children in the cold jacuzzi shooting water guns at the people in the pool area. I would not recommend that hotel to friends or family or anyone. Thanks, Kathy Donnelli and Gerald Donnelli

Coffee and food was barely warm, I stayed 2 nights. I will not stay at this property again. Staff was helpful when you could find them.
- 5/5
Clean...very quiet room. Bed was comfortable. Easy walking distance to many places to eat. Staff seemed helpful and gave advice. Like most hotels, I'd suggest they possibly change up what is offered at breakfast. Think everyone is over the waffles and biscuits & gravy.
- 5/5
Clean not overpriced except on Thurs and fri but understandable busiest days felt like visiting the fam up in the Raw or something felt at home 4 sure great staff stay here over cheaper ones it's worth the extras 40 bux don't be cheap this place is str8 clean friendly good breffass
- 4/5
The hotel was nice, and it was clear they kept up with maintenance, as our room smelled of fresh paint. The desk attendant warned us that the pool was cold, and he wasn’t exaggerating at all; it was quite chilly. However, that made the hot tub even more enjoyable. They mentioned that a new pool heater would arrive the following week. We didn't take advantage of the complimentary breakfast because there was a crowd ahead of us, and the food hadn’t been replenished before we had to leave. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay for the night.
- 5/5
Great location, especially if you have any appointments/prosedures scheduled @ Mercy Hospital. Also there is a AMC mega movie plex About a 50 yards from the hotel lobby. The mall & Walmart are super close. Only complaint l have is….super strict laws on towels. I stayed one night and woke up to find out. “Dang no towels for showering, not even one. Had to dry with hand towels and dirty T shirts from my travels. Other than this was a solid night stay.
- 5/5
Great staff, breakfast dude up front more than helpful n accommodating as well as the lady up there 4give me cnt remember names well but they were great . Felt at home

nice clean rooms and right next to the Animas river trail

The location was great. Everyone was super nice. The pool was freezing. My kids could only last 10 minutes in it. Each morning when we would go to breakfast, they ran out of eggs and potatoes, etc. We would be there around 8:30-9 each morning, and they never had the good stuff. On our last morning the fire alarm went off around 7am. That was terrifying to wake up too, and terrifying for the kids! Luckily everything was ok though.

We enjoyed our stay. Hotel in a good area.

The location was right near the Animas River walking path. The modular desk in the room was noisy when even slightly bumped and its proximity to the bed made that a problem for my wife that goes to bed early. Also, the TV was on a fixed wall mount that was poorly located for optimal viewing from the far bed.

To top it off I had prepaid for my stay and when I was asked for my credit card they charged me once again! And now im disputing it. Just awful experience.
- 5/5
The lobby staff was really friendly and prompt. I also appreciated the extra time to do late check out as well. Housekeeping needed to calm down though and i understand some places still dont clean after tge first day but i really would have appreciated a reset. But then have housekeeping knocking on my door at 830 and then at 9 am when checkout is 11! Anyway otherwise i really find the rooms comfortable.

The staff was all excellent. Friendly and helpful! The inside pool was dirty and full of spiders both alive and dead. So much you did not want to get in the pool. The handrail to get into the pool was loose and not supportive. There were not enough towels available so they gave us basically hand towels to use at the pool. The exercise room so unbearably hot. The elevators were sketchy and sounded like they were going to break.

There was also the issue of people being allowed to bring their dogs into the dining area and where the food was being served during breakfast while people were eating. One of the dogs was running around the entire area unleashed. There were also dog feces on the sidewalk just to the right of the main entry that remained there for the entire duration of our stay. The hotel was very unorganized, unprofessional, and unclean.
- 1.5/5
The room was clean The pool was broken. The hot tub was broken but after a few hours the maintenance men got it going. The TV is my room was broken. Spent 2 hours with the maintenance man while he called direct tv amd got it fixed.

If you advertise breakfast, you should have milk with dry cereal. And you should not run out of eggs. If breakfast goes from 6 - 9 am, have enough to cover the time and people in your hotel. If you can take care of rooms, it should be a no brainer to have milk at breakfast time.
- 1/5
Pool was out of service, loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
- 4/5
The location was great for our needs. Breakfast was good. Hot tup and pool were out of order and a prior guest’s clothes were on the floor in our room.

Hot and cold breakfast
- 3/5
The room was amazing, but for the price & for what is shown to you at booking . The pool and hot tub were none functional . Such a disappointment after a really long day .
- 5/5
Staff very customer oriented and friendly. Breakfast was good. No problem
- 4/5
Great hotel! Thank you for everything.
- 5/5
This is a great property. We’ve stayed here multiple times and each visit was fantastic.

Pleasant staff and a good location. Disappointed that the pool was closed for repairs.

They ask for a $50 deposit and never return it.
- 5/5
Courteous staff, clean room.
- 2/5
Parking was okay. Beds and pillows were too hard. The suite couch bed was too thin you could feel the springs through the mattress. Phones did not work in rooms. There were empty trays of breakfast, the eggs, sausages and the mixture for waffles.
- 5/5
Friendly staff at check in, clean room, safe location.
- 2/5
Breakfast was gone by 8 am and staff was not keeping up.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and very helpful
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Front office manager was so friendly and helpful. Clean room with comfortable beds.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent. We had a last minute room change, the staff helped us tremendously. We are very grateful for accommodating us.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was good. Breakfast had a wide variety of food. Clean.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly!
- 1/5
The motel appears to be used by the city for homeless. It takes forever to get hot water or even the heater to produce heat. The security of the room is not good either
- 4/5
Excellent customer service, Room was very clean. No issues at all. The only thing that held me back from doing a 5 star review is the breakfast. It was cold everyday, and gravy was super salty. I usually love their breakfast, but this location’s breakfast really disappointed me. I couldn’t eat it!
- 5/5
Breakfast was subpar eggs were not good.

Room and bathroom square footage was spacious not cramped. Nicely decorated.

Fresh breakfast, clean hotel, friendly staff
- 5/5
We very happy with our stay. There are some nice walking trails close by. Everyone with the staff was nice. We stayed at another place for 2 night but I have to say this was the best and price was worth it.
- 4/5
Easy parking could use a couple more handicap spots, friendly staff, clean hotel.
- 3/5
There was an old salad container and empty box of food left in our refrigerator. We told the employee at the front desk. No apology that the room was apparently not all cleaned.
- 2/5
They didn’t service the room or offer to do so.
- 3/5
Very dirty. Bits of food and crumbs in 2 of the drawers.
- 5/5
We didn't eat at the hotel as we ate with family elsewhere. The hotel was fine, parking was no issue, and we felt secure during our stay. Thank you.
- 2/5
This hotel was not worth the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the room was just ok and they went super cheap on amenities.
- 3/5
Wade was terrific at the front desk. Printers didn't work and then he helped us with a TV issue in our Suite. Only one of the two TVs worked. Also, Wasde worked all night and then had to prepare breakfast the next morning since person in kitchen didn't show up. He deserves a raise b/c he had a good attitude in the morning too. No ramps to take carts to/from car. Bed was pretty hard. Wish it was a bit softer.
- 2/5
It was very dirty and unkept.
- 2/5
Stayed 3 nights. Housekeeping failed to clean room after the 1st and 2nd night.
- 3/5
Staff was vocally squabbling for what seemed like forever. Very uncomfortable
- 3/5
You get what you pay for....SUPER AVERAGE in all ways.
- 5/5
Comfortable and clean. Easy access to groceries and about 15 minutes to the airport.
- 5/5
New modern hotel. It had all of the amenities. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Great locations with lots of areas to walk our dog
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
This property is very nice and clean. The staff was excellent. It has a nice walking trail that my husband and i visited. The room was nice, my mini refrigerator seem like it didnt want to work but it did ok. At times the room smelled like dog. I dont have problems with fur babies but i dont like the smell they have when they are not.clean and for my room to have that smell when i didnt have a dog with me was not cool. Perhaps putting all those traveling with dogs on a particular.floor or something would be better. The complimentary breakfast was good and the cleaning staff was great!
- 5/5
Room and staff were great
- 1/5
Bad experience at this hotel.
- 2/5
Dirty pool, elevator not working properly, card readers on exterior doors not working and poor customer service at check- in desk. I would not recommend
- 5/5
Wonderful experience, but the in-hotel signage and the overall property access was could be improved
- 4/5
Really quiet a couple miles from downtown Durango but still convenient and staff are really friendly and kind.
- 2/5
The pool and hot tub closed, main reason for coming. Office chair was broken and would not lift up so dinner was eaten with a table up to my chin. The head boards had dust so thick when i ran a finger across there were dust bunnies. Tub and the sink drained super slow, so my shower turned into a bath.. Breakfast was good.though.
- 5/5
Everybody was nice. Breakfast was like Everybody else. Nothing special. Room was clean. Close to train depot.
- 2/5
Okay for a quick one night stay. The bed was awful, and the place was not the cleanest. For 200 a night it definitely was not worth it.
- 3/5
king suit 427 dollars one night . king bed wore out feet were higher then my head . six pillows all but two were hard as a rock could not adjust them any way to be comfortable . not one vending machine in hotel , two large coolers and shelves in a snack corner completely empty . not even cold water . two tvs in room remote would turn them on only and control voloum could not change channels .
- 3/5
We were there Thursday til Sunday and our room was never cleaned. Strange odor in the bathroom.
- 5/5
There is an excellent river walk very close by and a Texas Barbecue restaurant nearby that is very good and reasonably priced. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Great place to stay close to stores, college, and the Real Texas BBQ was a bonus right up the street!
- 2/5
When we went to check in, the pet fees ended up being a lot more than originally stated. They need to update their pet policy on here and their website so there aren't any surprises. I'm also not sure where these expensive pet fees are going towards, the designated pet area was just dirt, weeds, and an overflowing garbage with trash everywhere. I also asked about why they never answered my calls and the person at the desk said their phones have been down for months...I feel like being able to get in touch with your hotel is important and didn't love that there was no way to get in touch with them.
- 3/5
They did not have our reservation and was not nice about it. I had to cancel the original one and rebook - then she was nice.
- 4/5
The property is fine
- 4/5
Not enough restaurants in the area.
- 4/5
Very nice room. Breakfast fine.
- 2/5
No clear entrance signs to the property. The t.v. Was not initially working because they had one remote for t.v. and another separate remote for the dish that was not in the room at the time and management had to bring it up. And none of the phones in the room work, so you can't call directly down to the front desk.
- 3/5
The bed sheets had stains and the room smelled like dog poop and cigarettes. The bathtub and sink wouldn’t drain right. The breakfast wasn’t tasty and there wasn’t much variety.
- 4/5
We got the suite. There were 2 towels for 4 adults. Kind of annoying. No extra blankets for the pullout bed. The fridge didn’t work the best. The hot tub had so much chemicals in it, my eyes were hurting from just sitting in it. But otherwise, friendly staff, good breakfast, very quiet
- 5/5
It was simple to find. Parking gets a little cramped in the late evening, so get what you need before you check-in. You'll ened up having to park a but further away if you leave and head back. One guy parked stupidly by taking up four spaces in the front lot with his truck and motorcycle trailer. He could've been considerate and parked off to the side. The pool is small. Breakfast was okay, the food was decent but it's the people themselves that were so gross. They were mishandling food, dropping the main utensils, hogging literally all the food in sight. There was an elderly couple who came down a bit late and there was nothing for them to eat. I felt bad for them. So i suggest maybe skip the breakfast and eat elsewhere. The coffee was good though. Thank you to the lady who was so nice cleaning up, making coffee and keeping up with the messiness of the disrespectful guests. She deserves a raise.
- 4/5
seemed as if they were short staffed, the pool looked green
- 5/5
Good hotels
- 5/5
Everything was to our liking. Would definitely stay here again. Just wish the staff was more knowledgeable about where to eat and what to do in Durango. They didn’t know anything about the town.
- 4/5
My only complant was Fox news on the TV in the dining area. Pushing propaganda for the GOP. Maybe put tv on local news or even just music.
- 5/5
The property was great. The pool was nice minus the very strong chlorine smell.
- 4/5
The only thing I object to is having to pay extra to have your bed made and clean towels delivered if you’re only staying for two nights.
- 2/5
The hotel canceled my reservation before I arrived, with no communication about this. The explanation when I arrived at 3am, exhausted and surprised to find a line in the lobby, was that they perform an “audit” at 2am, and anyone not checked in by then gets their room canceled. I was working on an emergency situation in town and we weren’t done until nearly 3am. I had only made the reservation a few hours earlier, when it became clear I’d need to stay in town another night. The other folks in line at 3am were also both having issues of a similar nature, and the staff member seemed confused and was having multiple issues working with the computer. I had made my reservation through Expedia with “all fees included, no surprises” but they said I had to pay another $50 before I could get a room. They claimed computer issues and charged my card twice for this $50 refundable ‘incident’ fee I’d already paid through Expedia. When I was finally given a room key after a 30 minute wait, that’s all I was given. A room number and a quick point down the hall. The staff member didn’t even fill in the Internet password space on the key holder. After 5 hours of sleep, I was awoken by somebody trying to come into my room and saying something unintelligible. I said “hello?” and they closed the door. I realized it was likely housekeeping, but I hadn’t been given anything to hang on the door and did not expect them as it was a one-night stay!! I was woken again by them 30 minutes later.
- 3/5
Honestly the main reason we chose this hotel for our stay in Durango was the pool and the jacuzzi. Cool weather in Colorado and long days we were absolutely excited and waiting for a nice soak and I warm jacuzzi. No heated jacuzzi. The bubbles work but no heat. The pool was not heated for sure. But was not too cold to swim. I will say that the breakfast was good with scrambled eggs potatoes biscuits and gravy
- 4/5
Quiet, clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast. One amazing thing was we got our room serviced. We were there 2 nights, Tuesday and Wednesday night. When we came back to our room after being gone all day Wednesday they had serviced our room. That was a very special surprise.
- 4/5
HVAC seemed difficult to maintain temperature overnight.
- 4/5
Comfortable place to stay.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet
- 5/5
Location was great and the food selection was good too!
- 3/5
Beds/pillows comfortable. Clean. Breakfast if you are foodie is not passable. Nice selections of teas.
- 2/5
I dont plan to stay there again
- 2/5
This hotel had no washcloths available. Was told by housekeeper they didn’t have any so we went to Walmart and bought our own. Never have stayed in a place where there was no washcloths.
- 5/5
5 minutes from the steam train
- 2/5
Front desk staff is rude. The entire hotel stinks. The hot tub was like warm and smelled like a dog
- 5/5
Nice, newer hotel.
- 5/5
Swimming pool was nice not crowded breakfast was good & the beds were comfortable
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
Ice machine was broken.
- 5/5
This was such a comfortable stay. Quiet and relaxing. Exactly what we needed.
- 4/5
It makes it seem like it's on the river but its not
- 3/5
Staff service and responsiveness was poor. Outdoor area was not well maintained and the grassy areas were dead.
- 3/5
It was an okay stay. But, we ran out of towels - the phone in the room didn't work. I called by cell to the front desk 3 times and never got an answer. Went down to get new towels and waited 10 minutes and no one ever showed up to the front desk. The breakfast bar didn't have milk for the cereal, and half the juice options were out for the 3 days we stayed there. The pool was also quite murky.
- 2/5
I would like a discount on this reservation. My comforter on my bed had not been washed because it smelled like BO (body odor). That is unacceptable when paying $305 for one night
- 5/5
The room was clean and we enjoyed the warm breakfast
- 1/5
Stayed at this property only bl
- 5/5
I plan on staying again if ever needed to in Durango!
- 5/5
This hotel is located in a quiet area. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was average. The front desk staff were welcoming. The only negative was that we were unaware that room would not be refreshed with clean towels or garbage removal staying more than one night.
- 5/5
Very nice, would definitely stay there again!!!
- 1/5
Terrible stay at the LaQuin
- 4/5
It was nice.
- 5/5
The property was lovely, very dog friendly. They opened the swimming pool for my kids early in the am. We were there during posted hours but apparently they were going to open an hour later. They let us in. I would have liked to skimmed the pool a little with a net. Hot tub was nice perk. The walkway behind or in front of the hotel was a hidden gem.
- 4/5
Very nice staff, breakfast was good and the hotel was clean and quiet.
- 5/5
The bed was amazing. This was a very convenient and easy place to stay on a long road trip
- 5/5
We had an amazing time in Durango and loved the location of this hotel. Short walk to the Animas river walk and plenty to do around the area or a short drive. Hotel staff were all kind and helpful.
- 4/5
Location was great, hotel was clean beds comfy. I was on first floor and the carpet in my room was in bad shape; made the room feel less clean than it really was
- 5/5
Would have been nice if there was dining/bar
- 5/5
Upon arrival we were 2 hours early and they were able to accommodate us. Great staff!!!
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 5/5
We had a few bumps at check in with the first staff member. I went down the next morning, and Wade at the front desk was amazing!
- 5/5
Great property
- 3/5
The hotel was okay, but lighting very poor in the room and bathroom. The towels were very thin. The staff was very friendly and attended to our needs.
- 5/5
Loved the staff and the cleanness of the place!
- 5/5
We had a great time friendly staff .
- 4/5
It was good
- 5/5
Staff seemed new to the job at check-in, but other than the party of construction workers in the parking lot, everything was wonderful. The best part was, we knew they were there but couldn’t hear them. Room was spacious and very clean!
- 3/5
Too expensive for what you get. TV didn’t work. Had to get staff to fix it. He had no help. No food at breakfast bar, unmanned. Front desk unmanned in morning so couldn’t get receipt. Rooms were clean but just adequate, nothing making them worth the price.
- 5/5
So clean, super comfortable bed, quiet, friendly staff
- 1/5
Awful staff were very rude . Room was not as expected. Food was terrible
- 4/5
It was nice area and wasn't far away from downtown or to the train station
- 2/5
At check-in the desk clerk fell asleep while sitting in front of me. The was about 4 pm. The TV remote stopped working the next morning. Reported the broken remote at 7 am. Remote still was broken when we returned about 6 pm. Was told that it couldn't be repaired that evening. The room had not been cleaned. Was told that we had to inform the front desk the day we arrived that we wanted our room cleaned. Desk clerk volunteered to move us to another room. We accepted the offer. I am 74 years old. After a very long day, I had to pack up our room and move to another room without any assistance. The hotel was average at best, but the service was terrible.
- 3/5
Hotel was nice. Breakfast was good. Pool was fun. Hot tub was VERY loud when the jets were on, but it was nice and hot. Front desk guest service was a total let down. Lady was too concerned about holding and kissing on her little dog, so it took a while to check in because she was doing everything one handed. My boys love dogs so they asked permission to pet her. She said yes, so my husband and two oldest bent down and pet the dog. Then the little jerk barked right in my youngest son's face the second he bent down. Lady just stood there like nothing happened! No apology, no picking up the dog, nothing! Customers shouldn't have to worry about getting barked at by a dog at a hotel's front desk because customer service can't control their dog. How were we supposed to know the dog wasn't going to bite my son next?! My son was very embarrassed and nervous after that. I took all I had in me not to let my mama bear come out and give that lady a piece of my mind! I would not recommend staying here, just because of the dog and its owner.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, great location, and very clean
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
Very nice
- 3/5
She handed me a paper to sign for our vehicle info, it had someone elses name. I told her and she finally realized she had put us into the wrong room under someone else. That was all supposed to have been taken care of. We got to our right room, swam, and went to bed. Then our phone rings at 10:30pm after we all went to bed. It was the lady that checked us in. She said I needed to come down to the front desk to pay because the card she put on the ither persons account didnt transfer to our reservation. I asled if i could do it in the morning as I was already undressed and had been sleeping. She told me no, I needed to come down right then or I would be "charged a bunch of crazy fees" because it shows I never checked into our room. I got a message for pre check-in earlier in the day and put my card info on that instead and asked her if she can refresh so I didnt have to come. She said "yeah if it doesnt work ill call you back" as id she didnt hear me when i said wveryone including children was sleeping in our room. So unprofessional and something that was avoidable had she listened to me to begin with when I said I never paid for my room.

The hotel was nice and clean. A good place to stay for a couple of days. Free parking and breakfast was a plus. The bathroom needs a a little bit of maintenance, the toilet seat needs to be replaced as well as the sink faucet, and the inside of the bathroom door needs to be painted. All in all was a good stay.
