Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, as well as the proximity to downtown shops and restaurants. However, there are consistent complaints about the lack of hot water, additional charges for parking and breakfast, and issues with room keys and elevators.

The staff were amazing. The rooms and hotel were very clean. Only complaint we have was the restaurant and bar staff. They weren’t very friendly, and weren’t very fast for orders ect.
- 4/5
The room was large and had what we needed ! We stayed a total of 6 days on our 2 week trip! 3 when we arrived and 3 before we flew home! Liked being on 4th floor in room 400! Very quiet and we had coffee maker and fridge which was great! Don’t require maid service!
- 3/5
Durango is an excellent destination. This hotel was so so.
- 3/5
The property and rooms were out dated. I had to get the property manager to let me in my room as the bathroom door drifted open and prevented the main door to the room from opening.
- 5/5
Great room and great property!
- 3/5
Pool was closed for maintenance the 3 days we were there. The electricity went out for a couple of hours. The door key did not work and we had to go back down to the front desk so she could reprogram it. Not good customer service! Fan in bathroom was not working.
- 5/5
close to everything
- 5/5
Was a good stay for one night
- 1/5
This is the first time I have had serious issues at a holiday inn.
- 4/5
Breakfast was $10 per person and we had the Holiday Inn Express free breakfast minus the cinnamon rolls.
- 4/5
Everything was great, clean room, bathroom clean enough towels, beds comfy BUT the ONLY thing that I didn’t like was the BREAKFAST it was very simple, and there was very little of it; plus, if you asked the young women for anything, they ignored you and seemed angry.
- 5/5
We would never use Expedia again after they did some nefarious things trying to protect themselves from a 172 mistake ! Very dishearten by them! But Holiday Inn Dowtown Durango was perfect for us!
- 3/5
Second day of our stay, the room was not cleaned and we did not receive fresh towels. Front desk was not available by phone. Had to go downstairs to ask for towels. Also, the breakfast sign was on display, however it was closed. We received a text in the evening stating the restaurant was closed due to an employee called in sick.
- 5/5
Very nice Hotel. The beds were good the room was clean and comfortable.
- 1/5
Room still wasn’t ready when we tried to check in at 5. The waitress was horrible at her job. They charge for parking which is ridiculous considering how much money it costs to even stay there. The breakfast you have to pay extra for was gross.
- 5/5
Breakfast was limited
- 5/5
Clean room and very attentive staff!
- 5/5
Professional staff, efficient and very helpful.
- 3/5
Slower than normal check in process. Check on staff member had to work the phone and check on guests. She was very good but could have used some help. We were given an ADA room which was not desirable.
- 5/5
It was a very nice property. There was a little road noise at night but other than that the room was clean and nice. We’ll stay there again.
- 5/5
We stayed one night from days before camping. It was a really great break. The staff was great!
- 4/5
Do not stay in room 207. The bedroom window has a trash bin as a showcase. I was disappointed with the view. Good thing it wasn’t a hot sunny day.
- 5/5
Staff was courteous and helpful. We will stay here again.
- 5/5
As soon as I walked in the lobby, I was greeted by a very friendly guy at the front desk. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Perfect place to stay.
- 5/5
Emily made the entire stay worth every penny! She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and energetic, and she made us feel welcome every time we walked through the lobby.
- 5/5
Comfortable room, great customer service...
- 4/5
The location was close to everything we needed to get to, we were there for a death in the family. I didn’t like that they charged for breakfast and if you went down after 8:30, there was almost nothing left to eat. Very disappointing

- 4/5
The hotel was conveniently located to downtown. The price is reasonable. Breakfast is fair. The staff is friendly and helpful and our room was clean.
- 5/5
Very nice spacious room, fireplace was a nice touch!
- 4/5
Breakfast lacked fresh fruit and beverages that were self serve. Room floor got our feet and socks black and we had dead bugs on floor and small debris on floor in bathroom. Staff was great, pool and hot tub clean and very nice.
- 5/5
Really nice, clean hotel near by everything with nice staff
- 3/5
Our room did not have extra furniture, like chairs or rugs.
- 3/5
Rooms are clean. Good price on breakfast buffet but get there early. Food at 9 was a little aged. Nice facility. Exercise room was missing some items for cleaning and didn’t look to be cleaned between days but it was empty both times. Missing some crucial 10 lb weights. Accommodating gracious staff. No soap in showers 1st day.
- 4/5
We had an extended stay due to car trouble. They were accommodating letting us leave our hodgepodge of bags in the office. Basic accommodations. Good selection nearby walkable restaurants. Washing machine was broken but they are next to a laundromat. Very convenient location for trolley $1. Breakfast as expected. Room door had to be slammed to shut it. All in all, recommend for a brief stay. Staff was great!
- 2/5
Got to the Hotel room wasn’t ready when it said it was I was told I would get a call and never did. Went back 1.5 hours finally got to my room. No breakfast at this hotel have to pay 10 a day for breakfast and you have to pay for parking which is another 10 dollars a night not included in the rates of the room
- 2/5
I stayed here because of the attached restaurant/tavern. Was told it would open at 3pm. The told 4pm, and then told the staff didn't show up, they will not open.. 🙄
- 5/5
Staff was really sweet and helpful. Room was very nice and clean. Everything was new and upgraded. Pool and hot tub were very nice.
- 5/5
Awesome stay in Durango.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff... nice restaurant on site
- 2/5
When checking in the place smelled of weed and it was the staff who were stoned. Charged for parking even if your a guest. It is not in a location where this should be a requirement. Location is not downtown , it is more like close to downtown. In need of repairs. Ac had very little temperature flexibility as it has to stay in certain presets. Its presenting dont even allow for the fan to run . Very uncomfortable sleep and stay . For the price I would ot recommend.

Passable
- 5/5
Having to pay for a continental breakfast.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff, spacious room with fireplace, comfortable bed, great shower pressure. Breakfast is an extra cost but good variety of choices. We will stay here again.
- 5/5
I really love the fact that there is laundry and you can buy detergent for only a dollar.
- 3/5
Pool and hot area clean and kept well. Staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom somewhat clean there was a contact on the shower wall that wasn’t ours! The night stand draw would not stay closed has to rig it with paper not open and hit our legs, the thermostat on the wall could not read it! Nothing didn’t know if was on heat or cooling or the temp of the room!
- 4/5
Great staff! Clean. Couple issues with the room, no fan in the bathroom and the fire place didn’t work.
- 4/5
Place was great! Understaffed in the restaurant.
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and the room was good-sized and clean. But disappointed the breakfast buffet was almost empty at 8:45 am. I waited about 15 minutes for refills then just went back to my room and got late breakfast after checkout at Denny's instead.
- 4/5
Everything was as expected. Did not pay the extra for breakfast. Shocked they charged for what is normally free. Nothing extra or exceptional was offered.,
- 3/5
The staff is always super nice and welcoming, I did have a weird situation happen in my room where after it got cleaned in came in and found one of my earrrings that before i left was zipped in my jewlery box and when i came back it was in the toilet. ALso there isnt locks on the door on any of the levels so i felt uncomforatbale that somone could enter my room through the window

.
- 3/5
The room was very clean. Staff was pleasant. It would have been nice if the remote for television had worked. The coffe maker also required a firm and persistant hand to operate.
- 5/5
Clean spacious room, friendly staff. Enjoyed the creek next to the hotel.
- 5/5
Worth the stay I’ll definitely be back.
- 5/5
Room very clean. Staff all the way around excellent. The staff at front desk was above excellent. Kind, helpful, and fun.

The room was spotless and everything was great!
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Good stay all around … bedding particularly comfortable
- 4/5
Very good
- 1/5
This was my worst hotel experience in Durango. I have been to maybe 6 different ones. There were a lot of noises. The refrigerator in our room had a high pitched metal sound and we had to turn it off. There was a fan in the bathroom that was very dirty and ran all the time. It was easy to hear that too. The bed/pillows were sink in soft and the sheets were too big for the bed and keep creeping off from the corners. Maybe got a few hours sleep if I added it all up.
- 5/5
Nice Clean!!

nice hotel- good location/ price
- 4.5/5
Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We showed up right on time for check in & the lady told us to come back due to no rooms available & we returned later. Hotel needs more workers/help for sure & also more Luggage carriers/carts. Breakfast not being free also wasn’t wonderful, & the food wasn’t awful but not $10 per person worth.

Great rooms
- 5/5
Staff was awesome! Super friendly and very helpful!
- 5/5
Great place, great staff!
- 5/5
Room was clean and tidy. Pet friendly and the deposit is very reasonable! There was a dog run on the property which was great after being in the car for 6 hours. I will br going to this hotel again. Totally recommend this property.
- 4/5
Complaints are that there’s no carpet in the room so the floors are cold, and the bedding wouldn’t stay on the mattress. We were forever putting the protector back on. Made for a rough couple nights’ sleep.
- 4/5
No complementary breakfast
- 4/5
We liked that there was a restaurant/bar on-site. The breakfast was average, we would have liked some more healthy options but appreciate the convenience and price. The rooms were clean.
- 2/5
I booked the room online along with a breakfast for 2 option for $40. I requested to pay onsite and planned to ask staff if what the breakfast entailed and determine if it was worth the $40. When we arrived, I saw a sign at the front that said buffet breakfast $10 a person. I asked the front staff what the difference was between that breakfast and the one I booked online. She stated that they were the same. I asked why I paid double then? She shrugged it off and told me "it was part of the rate for booking online". I wish I hadn't booked online and she wouldn't let me take the breakfast off the booking. Pretty frustrating to pay double what they were charging onsite and let me tell you...the breakfast was not worth it!
- 3/5
Staff was average, absolutely no hot water which was awful!
- 5/5
During our stay, the reception staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating. Although the breakfast items did run out at one point, the staff promptly replenished them. There was no hot water during my shower; however, the hotel later communicated that they were experiencing issues with the water system and assured guests that the matter would be resolved as soon as possible.
- 3/5
Breakfast buffet was disorganized, difficult to receive service.
- 4/5
Everery thing was great
- 4/5
Everything was great overall. The only thing I would reccomend is a heated pool. The indoor pool was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel but it was freezing cold. Other then that staff was friendly, amenities were great. Great location. Was walking distance to the river walk.
- 3/5
No hot water, short staffed at breakfast only one person for the whole restaurant. They were working as hard as they could but they just couldn't keep up with the buffet line.
- 5/5
Staff is very corteus
- 3/5
Rooms are very spacious which was nice. Unfortunately, in one of the 3 rooms we rented, our sheets may have not been changed out. There was melted chocolate on the floor next to the bed which was also on the sheet. (We saw this when we pulled the blanket back to go to bed) The bathtub was also clogged and no hot water in one room. Other rooms were fine. We were in a rush to leave so didn’t call maintenance, just went and showered in one of our other rooms. Otherwise, it was very quiet and comfortable.
- 3/5
It was just fine. It was ok, and it served the purpose of a hotel. I feel like the staff deserves better, they deserve more people helping them. The front desk people were working all alone, in a busy hotel they are expected to be in multiple places at once. I am greatly appreciative of the safe place to stay.
- 3/5
Room was nice sofa bed was kinda small more like a twin when asked for a cot was told hotel does not carry any. Fridge would not get cold and room was boiling hot we got the suite so the balcony was in the main room when the door was shut to room the living room would be scorching hot and we could not put the air on because it was locked for heat only so myself and husband had to sleep with balcony door open to keep room cool so we were freezing. They also did not stock the food and snack area in the lobby and on christmas eveything was closed so we figured we would get some snacks in the lobby but it was pretty bare. No one says hello besides the woman who checked us in she eas very nice and always said hello when we walked through. Hotel is next to a pretty river which was nice to walk to and very close to down town.
- 3/5
The room was clean and spacious but The bed was hard, the sink was clogged and was extremely slow to drain. The front seat staff at check in was very friendly and welcoming and gave us good restaurant recommendations.
- 5/5
Room and the front desk lady was very welcoming.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
The staff memeber at check in was great! The room was great for our needs, two small dogs and a child. It was as we expected. Fairly close to town (a mile or so) what you would expect for a properly functioning Holiday Inn Express. We were only there to sleep during a road trip so it fit our needs.
- 2/5
Pool was cold, room were loud
- 5/5
Staff was great. Parking lot and entry was icy and slick in spots. Went to breakfast buffet and they didn’t have anything left. They were under staffed for the number of guests.
- 3/5
Bathroom sink was clogged and water would drain very very slow. Bathroom door is not leveled so it opens itself. Overall it just needs some maintenance.
- 3/5
Staff were wonderful. The room was very large and clean. Went to take a shower and it was not good. Had the water on the hottest and it was still cold. I suffer from RA and need a warm shower to get my body moving in the morning.
- 5/5
Cleanliness, good price and friendly staff
- 1/5
Staff lacks customer service, rooms are dirty, pool is not heated, hot tub was filthy, and the keys continuously demagnetizes.
- 3/5
Fireplace didn’t work. Remote didn’t work for tv
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 5/5
Check in clerk was fantastic, informative and engaging.
- 3/5
Not a horrible stay but the bed was so uncomfortable we did not sleep well
- 5/5
The room was spotless. Staff was very courteous.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, and staff was very courteous
- 2/5
I am so sick of being disappointed by this site
- 5/5
The clean room
- 5/5
Very clean room, heater and air worked great
- 4/5
Very clean, quiet area and large, comfy rooms and bed.
- 1/5
This was one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced. First room they put me in had “white bodily fluid” stains on the bedding, and a bandaid holding a drawer shut (without it, the drawer would roll open non-stop). Switched rooms to a blood stained pillow, and was told it was the only room available. Water pressure was terrible, shower temp was terrible. Pool was not heated, and the hot tub was “turned off” with no available maintenance available. Staff was absent most of the time, and minimally assistive when present. Stay somewhere else. I’ll never return.
- 5/5
Super comfy beds! And it was quiet at night!
- 3/5
Wasnt very clean
- 3/5
Clean rooms, overall clean hotel. Lobby fireplace was not working, pool was extremely cold, had to pay additional for breakfast and it was mediocre, asked for an adjoining rooms when booked over 2 months prior to booking was told yes, upon arrival was told that wasn’t possible. Multiple times one of the front desk staff was sitting in the lobby on their phone, eating, laying down. Then took excessive amount of time to go back to the desk when we were standing there waiting on them.
- 5/5
Comfortable beds, clean!! Good breakfast
- 3/5
Room was fine. Good location.
- 5/5
The food is great too! And Kim - along with restaurant manager Charity - will make you feel so welcome.
- 5/5
We only stayed 1 night but the stay was great. The front desk girl (I didn’t get her name) was so nice and bubbly. She made the check in process easy and so comfortable. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Would definitely stay again next time we travel to Durango.
- 5/5
Nice clean place
- 4/5
Staff was excellent. Very clean. Breakfast was ok, but not worth the $10.
- 4/5
Staff was very nice. Check in easy. Parking well lit
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
This was our third stay at this property. Staff was friendly and helpful, price is more reasonable than closer-in downtown hotels. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Clean, staff were awesome, restaurant superb.
- 1/5
The room was clean but it was not properly supplied. There were 3 of us in the room but there was not enough towels and washcloths. There were only 2 regular coffees and 1 decaf. The hair dryer didn’t work. The lighting in the bathroom, especially in the shower, was way too dim. When the staff cleaned the room they didn’t empty the trash or leave anymore coffee. It was not explained to me that I needed to put one of the keys in the little box by the door to make the lights and heat work. When I called the front desk to ask for help I was told I must have not been listening when she was explaining how to do that. The remote for the TV didn’t work. They brought us a new one and it didn’t work either. When I called again she told me it wasn’t the hotel’s problem it was TV provider’s problem and they couldn’t do anything else to help us and if we wanted to watch the World Series we could go down to the bar. There was an ice machine but no vending machine. Not sure what I was supposed to put over the ice. We had a horrible experience and will never stay at a Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites again.
- 1/5
There were bugs in the room and bathroom had a strange smell in it, service and staff were nice, but house keeping never came by our room. I don’t know if it was our timing of being in the room so that might have been my fault though.
- 2/5
did a good rekodel
- 3/5
The hotel is in good condition, and the location is excellent—right next to downtown and close to the train station, which is very convenient. I have two complaints, though: they charge a $10 parking fee, which is surprising since I’ve never had to pay for parking at any other Holiday Inn. Also, the hot water isn’t very hot, even when turned to the maximum temperature.
- 5/5
Great room except the shower was barely warm and low pressure. Our hotel receptionist was great, full of energy
- 3/5
The hotel was nice and front desk was super helpful and friendly. The attached restaurant however, was not good at all. It took us about an hour and a half to get our food and when we did, it was cold or overcooked and also still cold. There was barely anyone else in there so it’s not like it was due to being busy.
- 5/5
Nice place to visit. Convenient to the Steam Train to Silverton.
- 4/5
The hotel is great, just lots of extra taxes that pile up, beware (parking, city, county, state, lodging, misc, breakfast, etc.). Also, in the past, the restaurant was great, but this time it was clearly understaffed. Our dinner order took over an hour to get. The staff was nice, just the restaurant needs more staff.
- 1/5
For $200 a night there was no hot water. The receptionist didn't inform that the water heaters did not work. The receptionist was never at the front desk had to wait 10 minutes to check in.
- 2/5
$10 for parking at this hotel in this location is ridiculous. $10 for breakfast at this type of venue is more insulting.
- 4/5
This hotel was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. The only reason I’m giving a 4 stars on some is because my room didn’t have hot water. It was only warm. I did let the front desk know and they said they would have someone follow up. Otherwise the room was very nice.
- 4/5
The not so good..Trash cans overflowing outside front doors. I mentioned twice at desk. Key cards had to be changed three times in four days. Trash in room never dumped. Mattress on pull out couch needs to be replaced. Not happy about paying to park nightly yet they say not responsible for damages.
- 2/5
Issue was no breakfast like other Holiday Inns were we always stay. And charged us for parking in the the hotel parking lot.
- 5/5
The Gray Copper Restaurant was absolutely terrible.
- 5/5
Very nice, large rooms. Close to downtown
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
We were only there for a night. It was nice for the price.
- 5/5
friendly staff. clean rooms
- 3/5
I will now be researching whether or not I have to pay to park there in addition to my room
- 4/5
A very nice hotel- clean, quiet and very comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean room friendly staff
- 4/5
Short staffed. Snackbar area depleted. Lobby coffee was only warm. Restaurant out of simple staples; no soup or ice cream.
- 3/5
The toilet in my room had a disgusting urine/feces residue left on the front of the toilet, right on the front. It was OBVIOUS as soon as i walked into the bathroom. There was also a hairball in the bathtub when I arrived. The toiletries in the shower have a tamper resistant rack that prevents guests from messing with the products. The rack was unlocked and the metal bracket fell off and whacked me in the foot during my shower. I didn't use the provided shampoo and conditioner since the bottles have obviously been accessible and could have been contaminated by prior guests. The headboard on my bed had a substantial layer of dust on top of it. It wasn't just missed by houskeeping between guests. It appeared to have been untouched and collecting dust for a long time. I come to Durango at least six times a year for business and have stayed in most of the hotels in town. This hotel is the only one that has ever charged me for parking. Find another hotel.
- 1/5
room not ready, coffee maker broken, vent bath doesn’t work, key stopped functioning
- 5/5
Everyone was so nice. The only issue we had was the 18 wheelers and buses took up most of the parking, by taking up multiple spaces per vehicle. Other than that. It was a good stay.
- 4/5
I didn't like that we had to pay for parking
- 4/5
Good hot tub
- 4/5
Everything was okay
- 4/5
Breakfast hostess very friendly. Morning checkout older gentleman also very friendly.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Very accommodating staff
- 5/5
The mattress and pillows are very comfy, probably recently replaced. I especially love that the hotel room has laminate flooring, no more yucky dirty carpet.
- 5/5
The front desk girl was so friendly.
- 5/5
Very pleased with this hotel. Only negative was we were on 3 floor. There was noice machine on 3rd floor and the one on the 2nd floor wasn’t working.
- 5/5
Great staff. Close to airport
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful, upbeat, professional, and funny (in a good way).
- 5/5
Great breakfast- nice room
- 5/5
always good 4th time staying here
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful
- 1/5
I checked in and for a room on the second floor. I immediately noticed that all the surfaces in the room were dirty. The floor hadn't even been swept, and there were stains from soda, dirt, mud, and crumbs on the floor. The toilet still had fecal matter on the bottom and around the rim of the toilet. I called the front desk and asked to switch rooms. There was only one other room available, so I was switched to the ground floor. To my surprise, the floor was completely dirty and it had stains all over. To top it all off, there were ants crawling all over the floor. I called the front desk and they said there were no other rooms available and they couldn't even refund my money because I had paid through Expedia and not the hotel. The whole experience was awful. I doubt anything was even cleaned in either room except the beds made.
- 4/5
Everything was very good except for that sofa couch / bed. They need to train their housekeepers to clean them much better since this is a dog friendly hotel. Other than this issue, which made our daugher's allergies bad for one day, the hotel is a good place to stay in Durango.
- 4/5
Nice and very busy property with easy parking. Room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint was that they only had one person working and although she was efficient, she was so busy and rushed that it did not feel welcoming.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed it
- 5/5
Great place to stay! Large rooms, very clean, great staff! Definitely would stay there again!
- 5/5
Comfortable, clean room. Very friendly & accommodating front desk staff. Great location. Good hot breakfast selection. Loved sitting outdoors at the attached tavern. Would like to commend Chasity who was one of our morning breakfast hostesses. She was so friendly & started our day off with a smile! Would definitely stay here again 👍
- 1/5
I was very disappointed with stay at the Holiday Inn. I paid for my room through Expedia and believed I had paid the full amount. Not the case they charge for parking and a hotel beautification charge. I have never heard of a charge of this kind. The room was clean but the bathroom was set up odd. No complimentary breakfast either. Not very happy with this hotel.
- 2/5
They charge for things, that you’re not accustomed to being charged for like parking, breakfast, and getting clean towels. I will never go to another Holiday Inn!!!
- 5/5
Safe, onsite dining
- 5/5
Abc
- 2/5
The hotel is dirty , lots of broken / non working things, and the staff was rude. I had booked two days and they tried saying it was only on day since they were soo booked, I would not stay here again nor recommend this place.

The room was much better than the week prior, but there were two giant HUMAN hair balls on the flooring and the floors were dirty. The shower also had some black mold in a few small areas. The couch was very raggedy for a supposedly "newly remodeled" room as advertised. The bed was nice though and everything else was ok.

Food was so so. English muffin was hard as a rock

The property location is gorgeous. The decor was very nice. The USB plug in the lamp was broken.

So was frustrated when I could not go back and double check on that myself. We did end up having breakfast there, and it was still a good deal, and good food

Excellent hotel in a great location

Great service,

This was a convenient location. The staff seemed pretty nice and efficient. The room was dirty though. There was a very potent room deodorizer that was hard to tolerate. The showerhead was absolutely terrible.
- 5/5
Reservation was simple and reasonably priced. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for anyone to stay at this location.

Great service. Easy park. Quiet.

The room had vinyl flooring and was so dirty! My son was playing in the floor with hot wheels and his hands were black from dirt in just a few minutes! Maid services didn’t come one day at all! They advertised washer and dryer but none of them were working.

consider this property to contain units w/o functional air conditioning
- 1/5
Floors were sticky and dirty. There were 4 of us and housekeeping only stocks 3 bath towels per room.
- 4/5
I liked the bunk bed option for my kids but I wish it would have been more accessible to the downtown. Route 160 interchange makes walking to downtown a hassle but it’s only a couple minute drive

Excellent property. Would recommend

Nice clean and comfortable accomodations

Clean and nice staff, bed was comfortable. Parking is not nice and finding driveway in the dark was a challenge.
- 4/5
It is downtown in a safe, walkable, interesting part of town.

Great place, would stay again

Very friendly staff… housekeeping was top notch.

⸻ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Came for the towels, stayed for the emotional healing” Let me start by saying this: I came in a sleep-deprived goblin with caffeine in one hand and emotional baggage in the other. I left feeling like I’d just done a silent retreat at a five-star spa hosted by angels in business casual. The bed? So comfortable I had a mild panic attack thinking I’d died and gone to heaven. The pillows cradled my head like they’d been personally fluffed by Oprah. The sheets were so soft, I considered checking the laundry tags for “unicorn fur.” The staff were friendlier than my mom’s book club after two glasses of wine. They greeted me like I was a long-lost royal heir finally returning to claim the continental breakfast. Speaking of which—the breakfast. I’m not saying it changed my life, but I did make eye contact with a croissant that gave me closure on a past relationship. The waffle station had me rethinking my career path. I could live here. I should live here. Even the hotel gym was nice enough to look at while I walked briskly past it to get snacks from the lobby. 10/10. Would fake a stressful week again just for another two nights of pure enjoyment.

Clean room, quiet property.

Clean. Quite. Obersized parking area. Pet friendly and connects to the off leash lap. Great location just outside of town.

What a nice experience! From the front yard lilac & honeysuckle scent to the late night restaurant fajitas this was a comforting scented experience. Even the Dove shampoo, body wash, & lotion in the room smelled great!! This was such a clean and welcoming hotel; the check in process was simple, the girls were super friendly, the room was especially relax and the beds were so comfortable. We will definitely return in September for our next trip with friends, God willing!

Quiet location!

Property was great, clean, modern, well maintained. Only issue was with morning front desk staff not present and/or no where on site during check out. Many guests were awaiting their return.

Stayed 2 years ago, has been revamped, had a king suite, on Mtn side, able to crack window open for fresh air. The on site restaurant was good with a limited dinner menu at reasonable prices, plus a full bar.
- 5/5
Very clean place with comfy rooms and a nice staff
- 4/5
Great room conditions, except that the AC was hard to work and kept turning on and off, which made for sometimes too warm conditions. Very close and easy to reach downtown. However, parking at the own hotel's parking was an additional $10 which is silly.

Great!

I wish the check-in staff would just told the truth that the elevator is the closest way to our room; instead of providing an option using the back door which made uploading our pet a lot more work and unnecessary.

Booked by accident, we always stay at the other IHG Holiday Inn Express Downtown in Durango due to proximity of downtown. We liked the staff and the room was nice. The restaurant has room for improvement but otherwise it was all good.

Very nice!!

Easy check-in, nice staff. Clean and room was spacious.
- 5/5
The breakfast was generous and of good quality. Close to the downtown and shopping district. A very pleasant stay.

Very friendly receptionist. Room is plenty big and very clean. Quickly 2 minute drive to downtown area.
- 5/5
I was there for just one night, but the room was very nice and the bar down stairs was awesome and fun.

Everyone was helpful and friendly. Chasity in the dining room was super nice and they went out of their way to make us something we liked.
- 4/5
The parking spots were crazy small. You couldn't get in and out of your vehicle easily. The entrance carpet was dirty.

Very nice

Check in was 3pm we got there a little after 4 our rooms were not ready. It would be another 45 minutes or so. Hour later we were able to check in. The staff that checked us in was not friendly it's like we were a bother to her. The other staff were a lot friendly after she left. They only had a light colored blind so the rooms were lit up with the outside light. No way of darkening the room. Other than that it was a quiet place.

I could hear all of the noise from the guest stain above me. Extremely loud, if you stay at this hotel, I recommend staying on the fourth floor, which is the very top. The hotel is not well insulated so you can hear other rooms. My TV was very old and antiquated and I could not get it to work. also went to take a shower the next morning and the shower was lukewarm. I let the water run for a long time and it did not get hot at all. The only perk to the stay was the room was very clean and the hotel staff was nice but other than that I would not recommend staying here. Food at hotel was not very good either. There are other hotels in Durango that are far nicer.
- 4/5
Our room was over the kitchen, so it was warm and a bit of a struggle to cool. Smelled like cooking food. Bed was great everything else was good.
- 4/5
The hotel itself wonderful in every capacity. The only thing not so good is the restaurant on site. breakfast is terrible and wanted to get food to go at 8:45 pm but they had already closed.
- 5/5
Beautiful Setting.

Nice lobby and decent price.
- 4/5
Convenient location. Half a mile to main street. I haven't stayed at many Holiday Inn locations but they did charge $10 to park in their lot and $10 for breakfast. I did not know that before hand. Room was good.
- 5/5
The young lady who worked at the desk in the evenings was gem. So friendly and helpful. The tavern on site was wonderful. Room service and cleaning was top notch. The kids loved playing in the pool. I thought the paying for parking was a little off putting, but no big deal in comparison to our great stay :)
- 5/5
Hotel was comfortable, clean, and staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was easily accessible and parking was good. I had no issues with my stay. I would stay again.
