Let's just say that the front desk person didn't felt like helping me, not going to get into details but very very disappointed with this property

The man at the front desk was not helpful at all. I was in the middle of an emergency. Yes, when I booked the room I put a guest name on the room. I was asking him to remove the guest and so he had no access to the room due to a domestic violence incident that day and he hung up on me. I went to another hotel and was not issued a refund

Issue: she refused my service dogs and then, when I informed her that ADA Federal Law prevents this action, she made me wait almost 4 hrs for a room that was "pet friendly" despite me attesting that my 2 dogs were not "pets", but registered service animals. She actually, verbally stated that she didn't care. In a separate but related incident, the same employee charged me $10/ towel, claiming they was soiled beyond what she deemed acceptable. I had to lay them down on a sopping wet floor (trip hazard) from where they'd mopped just before I entered the room. She then harassed me by repeatedly knocking on my door, insisting I take the towels. I didn't answer, concerned about escalation. I'll win this case, but "buyer beware"!

Left early because of terrible animal and smoke smell in the room. Also woke up to find one of the biggest cockroaches I’ve ever seen on the lamp shade near our heads. Looked like the room was barely cleaned and we had to leave our bags in our car until we could leave just to make sure we wouldn’t track any roaches home with us.

I like how cool my room was and how spacious it was! I loved how there were places that you could walk or take the bus, if you didn’t wanna drive or uber! I loved how there was a breakfast place you could walk to and the food was very good. ? I didn’t like how I saw a dead bug on the counter sink and I swear I didn’t see it before and alive one when I went into the shower, and I had to hide the dead bug and flush the live one down the shower drain. I didn’t like when I arrived I got stared at by a man and it creeped me out a bit.

Leaving They do nothing but steal your damage deposit of $50. The black older lady was disrespectful rude and aggressively abusive. She wouldn't even allow me to speak and ordered me off the property or she would call the police. I personally saw her do it with two other guests. I did Not Smoke in the room. The ash tray I made to use outside so I didn't throw cigarette butts on the ground I kept in the room. I left it there and should have thrown it out. If it had been a man who did what she did. I would have handled it right there No Matter What. They are lies cheaters and God bless them all.

Parking is always easy from any point of the property! Friendly staff , coffee is great. Rooms are always cleaned before my arrival. A/C works fine! This is , and always will be , my go to spot.

Terrible front desk staff. Laundry facilities don’t work. When you tell them it’s hard for you to take stairs, they make sure you have to take the most stairs to get to your room. Pack light! Those stairs are no joke, especially with liggage

The facilities of the property need some repair work. Faucets were broken and corroded. Walls and sinks stained and/or damaged. Large gaps in the floor planks. Hot water was all but non existent. Maxing out only hot water gave you luke warm water with very low pressure. Adding any cold at all to try and get water pressure made it freezing. Can't complain too much due to price and great staff. But functioning hot water and basic repairs are much needed.

Was surprised by a 50$ deposit that was added at the site. Expecting that this deposit will be reimbursed now that the trip is complete. If I had known this, I might not have booked at this site.

I was woken up multiple times throughout the night because of the drug addicts, arguing and yelling. My car was actually hit in the middle of the night, captured all on my dash cam. There’s piles of dog crap because people don’t know how to clean up after their dog. No blow dryer. The room definitely does not look like the picture. The picture must’ve been from when they originally opened the motel because the rooms are really old and dingy looking. The comforter had stains on it and just beware even though it says dogs welcome, I have a service dog that came with me and was told I cannot stay in the handicap room with a pet even though it’s a service pet. No pets are allowed in the handicap room so even if you’re a blind person and you have a seeing-eye dog, you cannot stay in the handicap bedroom. So I guess the only positive that I could say about the place is the staff was really nice and professional.

You get what you pay for. I have no qualms about anything here. Great place to lay your head, shower and rest.

Outside the room, the environment was disruptive. People were hanging around the property at odd hours, doors were being slammed throughout the night, and a guest regularly started a large truck engine late at night, which woke me up multiple times. At check-in, a $50 incidentals deposit was taken. At checkout (8:00 AM), I was told it would be returned after staff inspected the room. It is now well past checkout and I still haven't received it back. No timeline was given. (1-7 business days) There's no such a scammy thing in the world for this s**t room qualities and used bedding... I spent nights during the road trip including Fairway Inn, Best Western and the quality was top! Even they took 100 usd deposit, about 1 minute after checkout I got my deposit back. (My bank dont hold these) The front desk staff were not particularly friendly or helpful during either check-in or checkout. I guess why... For the price, I expected at least basic cleanliness and a straightforward deposit return. I would not recommend this location to solo/any travelers or anyone looking for a restful stay. ⭐ 1/5

Additionally, there were individuals at the hotel who made the environment feel unsafe and inappropriate. It definitely did not feel like a place suitable for families. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet or family-friendly stay.

I booked online to which I thought was a non smoking room, was not , TV didn’t work , room phone didn’t work , and the A/C unit wasn’t working properly! Maintenance and Management need to step it up a bit! I was too tired to address these issues at the time of my stay.

It's not bad. My only complaint is that the room is not well insulated and with lots of smokers in other rooms, I could smell it both through the vents and from outside. Good location in Dumfries, lots of shopping and restaurants and close to 95 and rt1. Quiet.

Do not even think about staying here I have to say this place is for Hotel I have stayed in my life the picture they post up was from like 20 years the room smelled like smoke so bad I could not even stayed in it I sleeped in the car that’s how bad it smelled waste of your money don’t even think about staying here

Terrible staff, rude and slow as well as dismissive like I was dumb. Room keys for both rooms kept losing their reading so had to go up to the office multiple times to get them fixed. Rooms were absolutely DISGUSTING. Water damage everywhere, moldy areas, terrible bed that causes back and neck pains, there was feces stains in the toilet, water leaking from the toilet, yellow stains all over the tub and walls of the bathroom, most of the outlets didn’t work, wasps inside the room, doors don’t close all the way, holes in the walls, rust all over the metal parts of the room, and raised floor planks that you stub your toes on when walking around. I wouldn’t stay here if you paid me.

Very dirty and concerning, I have contacted the health department. This is crime scene motel blood on walls and floor , rust is on lamp stand and desk and windows and doors also mold is everywhere. . You will have mold in your lungs if stayed here . Stay away . Yello and red stains on all beds . Changed 2 rooms and they all have same level of dirtiness. Avoid this place unless you wana get sick or catch a disease .

The floors are filthy. I don't believe they ever clean them. My wife and I have stayed at this motel many times. Everytime we stay here,the floors are so dirty. Our white socks become black because the floors are FILTHY. PLEASE clean the them and sanitize them.

I had breakfast The affordability

Traveling home from Florida and needed a place to rest for the night. This motel was clean and quiet and the staff was great. The exterior lighting was dim and it made it feel less safe. All doors to the rooms are on the exterior of the building. Due to the position of the lobby, the staff cannot see a single room. Again this does not feel safe for the person staying there.

Overall a clean very basic hotel while traveling - shampoo , conditioner are not provided ,, only thin bars of soap - you must ask foe a hairdryer at reception desk ( I think there is only one available for the entire facility and there is no breakfast. Staff are pleasant and try to be helpful

Room 227 was quite dirty, i had my 4 year old son and was scared to let him play. there was a liquor bottle house keeping didnt pick up and it did'nt even look like it was swept and mopped. Cleanliness.

Pillow cases so dirty - one with mascara and the other with what look like dirt!!! Spiderwebs in the room. No tissue (Kleenex) when asked, they gave us an extra toilet paper roll.

The stay was excellent here, very easy to book, and staff was very nice, our first room was decent but one bed had a yellow stain mark on the top blanket and the TV sometimes glitched out & the toilet seat was almost broken, and they let us have a room change, the TV was broken in this one but they chajged it and wd got a nicer TV with netflix, and tubi, and those streaming apps, it was pretty awesome! We however did encounter a bug in the room, we werent sure what it is but that is a tad bit hazaordous because bugs shouldnt be in any tyoe of hotel, since these facilities are supposed to be fully safe from bugs and etc but overall the stay was amazing, staff was super nice qnd accommodating, lots of resturants within the area, and gas stations, and easy to walk around in, suoer convenient and a budget friendly place, would probably stay here again!

The first night I stayed here the TV didn't work and the heater smell like it was going to catch on fire the second night was okay and the third night I stayed here I had to switch rooms three times the refrigerator was leaking when I first got into the room and the lady asked me if I could wait till tomorrow when I'm only staying one night I told her I could not and she switched us to it's actually the first thing that we had that had no working TV and smelled like the heater was burning so we told her that and she's like oh no it's all fixed I walked into the room TV still was broken heater still was broken so I went immediately back down and switched to a different room. We found condoms in the dresser of the room that the refrigerator is leaking which proves they don't clean that well. It's not a bad motel great price just wasn't happy at all this last time.

When i told her that i wanted to cancel she made an exaggerated motion by hitting the keyboard and simply saying "it's done!!". As if she were personally offended. But it was not done. 6 days later the motel attempted to charge my card for the stay that never occurred!!

The manager has been harassing me for the last 2 days they came in banged on my door at 10:00 I didn't answer it they called me at 7:00 this morning to see if I had added to my stay bothering me harassing me. I'm not sure why they need all this extra information they're nosy and racist here. I had to file a complaint with a Better Business Bureau and the attorney general and the Motel 6 corporate office just a horrible experience do not stay here especially if you're black cuz they will harass you and bother you for no reason

The first room I was in was leaking from the sink and the shower non-stop water on the floor but whoever cleaned the room had time to fold the toilet paper and put clean towels but there's water just running and had been it wasn't like a new leak. I wish they allowed video I took of the water just pouring

My room had holes in bedspread and blanket and only one chair to sit on, a wheeled desk chair. But, the TV worked fine.

Bugs stuck to popcorn ceiling. AC ran all night yet room still felt warm and musty. Could hear and feel springs in mattress. Tv picture very blurry. Needs entire update

I was scared to stay an extra night in the hotel because of massive police presence

I was given a room that was in poor condition, very unkept and not very stocked with the amenities expected. The bathroom, baseboards, floors, and sink area is dirty. I was allowed an early check in which came with an additional charge, so when we got in to the room we went right to sleep. Upon waking is when we saw the condition of the room. The front desk said the room had been cleaned when I called. It seems that I was given one of the poorly kept units because I went through the hotels.com app. The motel appearance is different in person from what’s advertised.

The location is great and check in was very convenient after a long drive. We weren't planning on stopping but we were tired and needed to rest.

Room needs repair

Everything was pretty nice. I had my dogs with me and they ended up getting hook worms and giardia during our stay. That was the only place my dogs have been other than home. We ended up leaving with a $600 vet bill. Keep your fur babies inside and clean ur own room with chemicals that will kill things like that

One of the worst motel I’ve been too. The sheets and pillow was dirty, the room had horrible smell. My body was itching the whole night. No room service was provided for 2 nights of stay. Dirty towel in the bathroom and only one soap bar was provided for 2 people for 2 nights. Literally a waste of money. Please don’t stay on motel 6, spend little more money and stay other hotel.

There is a lady that works there named RICARDA and she is the absolute RUDEST person I have ever had to deal with! The way she talks to people! I had a death in my family, I was crying when she tells me “PEOPLE DIE EVERY DAY!” That glass in between us worked in her favor that day! That little piece of pony tail she likes to swing around would have been mopping the floor!! THANK GOD FOR MS.CONNIE!! She met me with absolute professionalism every step of the way! This hotel needs people like her! Not RICARDA!! If it wasn’t for Connie I would NEVER come back and me and my family both have been using this hotel for years!!

Inexpensive, had clean sheets and a bathroom. Spend the $30 extra dollars and try someplace else.

First I want to start by saying that the pictures on the booking page do NOT at all match what the motel looks like. As we pulled up to the building it looked very run down and very old. The outside is falling apart, there is a nasty smell outside that smells like rotten eggs. Inside the room there was red substance splattered all over the walls and ceilings (not sure if it was blood or something else), the sink was cracked, holes in the bedding, mildew on the tub, the floor was separating all over and had large gouges out of it, there were no toiletires other than 1 very small bar of soap that would maybe last 1 hand wash. Needless to say my 16 year old son and I were there for a whole 5 minutes before we grabbed our unpacked bags, left the key on the table and left. Will never book here again. I do have pictures and will be contacting corporate requesting a full refund for the room that we did not stay in at all.

Ok stay with the exception of some unwanted guest activity. First room smelled of cigarettes, the staff was polite enough to help me find a room that was less bothersome. We checked another, and that was some other scent associated with freezers and mops; the following room was pleasant smelling enough. However, there was an african-american man a door or so down that was in and out of his room saying horrible things. A lot of muttering and forcefully negative tones through the walls, plus a "good, she's dead" right in front of my door. There was also some music played at an odd hour. Not a very peaceful or restful night's sleep with that around, and what I remember of my dreams was unpleasant. Too much unwanted guest, bad smells, "there you go" and other bad speech for my liking; however, the staff that helped me find an appropriate room was professional in her assistance and patient enough to check more than one room with me. The water was warm, towels and soap available, and no roaches like I have found in other locations.

Extremely great place to stay I stayed here to visit Washington it’s perfect not too close to avoid. All the traffic it’s literally right off I95 wich is absolutely perfect there’s a gas station right next to it aswell as a Waffle House in the same block as the hotel the over all area is perfect if your coming out of town

A basic place leftover from the old days when the doors were outside the building. The non-smoking room smelled smokey, laminate floors horrible, light bulbs out, no fan in the bathroom.

Neat Older Motel.

*Room was noticeably old with cracked ceilings in the bathroom. 3/7 towels still dingy, they needed to be bleached or trashed. Floor had what looked like tiny droplets of white paint. Cracked floor spots.

Unclean

The property was well maintained for being an older property. I saw no evidence of roaches or bed bugs. Furniture was in good condition. However, the water flow for the shower was very low. The refrigerator was unusable. And there was no clock in the room - I get it, we have cell phones. I still like the convenience of just rolling over and looking at a clock rather than having to grab a phone off the nightstand.

This place felt very much worth the price. The only main complaint I have is that the beds are a little uncomfortable (or at least mine was) and that the surrounding area is a little unpleasant at night. At the end of the day, I feel like this place was very much worth it and recommend it to anyone who is on a budget and is looking for a place to stay.

No issues, place was clean and everything worked.

Guest agent was very kind and attentive. As for the room, you get what you pay for. The property is old and needs refurbishing. A good paint job wouldn’t hurt. The curtains have stains from the first day the hotel opened-I’m sure of it. The sheets and pillow cases were clean. And the bed was not uncomfortable. It was bearable for a one night stop-over.

Alas, in my non-smoking room I found a used cigarette butt on the floor under the drapes. The sheets were old and stained.

Staff is rude. Rooms are dirty, outdated and in need of repair.

Room was very dated and had limited amenities. Motel was in a not so pleasant area, lots of people around the area. You get what you pay for though and it was alright.

Positives - working microwave and refrigerator as well as air conditioning plus the staff don’t rush you out as most hotels which other hotels usually call your room every 15 minutes in the last hour before checkout. Negatives were a pretty gross looking stain on the sink, a coachroach in the bathroom and the bed isn’t in new or good shape

TV went out in the room they didn't come for 24 hours room was dirty...I had to go to House keeping to clean it...then to top it off they don't even come clean the room the next day
