As soon as I stepped into the room, there was a strong, disgusting mold-like smell. The hallway was also hot, and this was the first hotel I’ve ever been in with such a strong moldy odor. It was so bad that cigarette smell would have been better.

I would highly suggest moving away from carpeted flooring since they need extra maintenance and care. The atmosphere is very welcoming and absolutely did not smell like cbd, which is a plus.

room was decent and clean. you can tell it's an okder refurbished hotel with the room smell. Bed and pillows were comfortable. But, shower gel dispenser was empty. we had to use facial bar soap to bathe. Breakfast was a mediocre. This is probably the lowest grade for a Hilton. Coffee was empty at 7:00. 4-5 people walking around looking for coffee. Front desk lady was too busy talking on her personal cell phone while everyone looking for coffee until someone brought it to attention twice.. Breakfast only had boiled eggs, cereals, bagels, muffins and fruits and instant oatmeal packets. No hot breakfast surprisingly being a Hilton. Being a Hilton Honors member, this is the worst hotel I've stayed and would never return again.

Well I’ve stayed at this property several times now it’s my go to property when I’m in that area. We love Shan he is very accommodating.

Parking was easy and available. Staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast was nothing fancy but definitely helped start the day. No complaints. Rooms were clean and the bed slept well.

I've stayed at this hotel before but it has changed hands since the last time I stayed and I can honestly say that it has greatly improved. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated and are in good condition, the lobby and hallways were clean and neat, and the staff were very friendly. Everything was clean and the large tv was a bonus. We normally stay here for concerts in Atlanta or Duluth and while it's sometimes a bit of a drive depending on where in Atlanta you're going, it is certainly a huge relief to not have to fight with the traffic the next day. Plus there are a great selection of restaurants that are very close by. The hallways smelled like marijuana when we came back at night and when we left the next morning. I don't mind the smell but if you are sensitive to it that may be something to keep in mind since every time I've stayed here, regardless of ownership, that has been a possibility.

Have stayed at the Spark few times and the stay has been great!! Love that the property is always so clean. Staff is very friendly and accomdating.

I book hotels based on having a pool place had pool but was not open or ready for our stay. I travel due to my son playing travel ball and that’s one thing we make sure the hotel had so my son and his teammates were very upset about the pool not being open.

It is a older property. Need to be updated.

The property was clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was unfortunately not open though.

The staff is friendly. Nice continental breakfast. The room was clean. The check in and out was quick. The only problem was the TV did not work. When I asked a staff member why the TV channels said off air, he said it was out of the hotels control. I was unable to watch the news and see the problems the TSA was having at the airport. I did make my flight, only because I had precheck on my ticket. I would stay there again, but please get the TV's fixed.

Rooms were clean. My complaint would be no ice melt on the sidewalks as there was a snowstorm at the time. Breakfast wasn’t great, but didn’t expect it to be. Cereal, yogurt, bananas, bagels and a muffin were the choices. I believe I saw hard boiled eggs as well. Since I’m low carb, I couldn’t eat any of it which was ok because I brought my own breakfast. No coffee maker in the room either, but they did have hot coffee and hot water in the lobby the whole time we were there so that was nice.

I’m very familiar with the area. The exterior of the property house nice curb appeal. The inside is a little dated. I showed up to a room with an operable TV after two trips to the front desk to swap out batteries and then a different remote. I finally told the gentleman at the front desk that I had just driven 400 miles I sleep with the TV on to just forget it that I was going to bed. He offered to give me another room, but at this point I was unpacked and not really in the mood to repack and move rooms, but he was personable and tried to help but at 10 o’clock at night, he had no one to help him with any type of audiovisual expertise. This is the first hotel room in my life that I’ve ever slept in and did not have an operable TV.

It had a horrible smell at times, my heater didn’t work in my room but by the time we realized it my two daughters and I were too tired to move rooms. We didn’t have an ice bucket, I feel like that room was ignored and we got thrown in there.

Very good location, friendly people, impressive decoration style, the sofa bed in the room is very convenient. Breakfast is not too many to choose, but fair enough. I will definitely come again for future. Thank you!

The sliding shower door in the bathroom was broken and would not stay closed, forcing me to hold the door with one foot while showering. I requested a room change, but was told that no rooms were available and no immediate action was taken. At checkout, this issue was not properly addressed; I was only told later via email that someone would follow up, which felt insufficient. In addition, the bathroom door did not close properly, and the soundproofing was very poor. I could clearly hear conversations from the hallway. The heater was extremely loud—so much so that I would not have been able to sleep without earplugs. The award-winning breakfast was also underwhelming. There were very limited food options. The boiled eggs were cold and inedible, and the cream cheese for the bagels was not refilled. It was difficult to understand how this breakfast received any award. Overall, the hotel did not meet basic expectations for comfort or service.

Breakfast was very disappointing pretty much just carbs, the only protein was egg and for fruit a banana. The room itself was okay, I do wish that the sofa bed wasn't next to the AC unit so I could run the room colder without freezing my kid.

The room was spacious and clean with a nice sitting area and a small table where we could eat our take-out dinner. It was just an overnight stay but appreciated the ease of parking and nice outdoor area for our dog. Dog fee is a bit steep at 75$. We just have a 20lb dog, wish they could charge on a sliding scale...

Shawn was always very helpful at the front counter. I like the fact that there was a small gym to work out in. People at the front desk were always friendly. It was close to a lot of different restaurants. The room cleaners were friendly and always said hello. I was impressed with a ironing boad, iron and microwave oven were in the room.

Clean. Friendly staff. It is shower only, they didn’t have any shower chairs available.

AC in the lobby was not on and was immediately so hot and stagnant. Our room and hallway smelled like pee and wouldn’t go away. The breakfast was just a small corner for self serve and didn’t have anything hot or fresh. Our TV wouldn’t work or turn off, so we had to sleep through the night with it on and bright. Besides that it was a mediocre stay, probably won’t return.

There was a moldy smell in the room that never went away. And as my friend and I were trying to access the streaming apps on the tv, the front desk had no idea how to work the tv. Eventually we figured it out on our own. Breakfast was subpar.

We arrived late and the gentleman at the front desk got me in quickly without hassle. The ice machine was a bit slow but it wasn't a big deal. The decor is a bit dated and dark but that could have been due to the lighting levels as well. Breakfast options were a bit lacking. Otherwise the stay was perfectly fine for what we needed

Very clean and quiet. The renovation was still ongoing. The day we went it was raining, and the bathroom was leaking with water; however, the it was address right away. When we left it was still leaking. 4 stars because breakfast was not good and coffee was warm and tasteless. If the breakfast was improved we will definitely return to this place.

This place looks like new, the front lobby is well decorated. Staffs are friendly. The room is clean and spacious, quiet area. Especially there was no carpet smell or nothing which I really love! I didn’t expect anything good but this place turned out to be amazing. I will definitely come back if I visit Duluth again.

Comfortable bed, 2 different firmness of pillows so you can choose your preference, Netflix on the TV so I don't have to bring my Roku, the blackout curtains actually work. No strong smells of anything aside from the (expected) occasional pot smoke. The pool wasn't open yet.

We paid full price and yet when we arrived, the gym and pool were both shut down and they said they now don't serve hot breakfast. We literally only booked it because of good breakfast reviews. Now, the reviews are scrubbed since there's new ownership and between the time of booking and the stay they cut breakfast, closed everything down and yet we still had to pay full price. Check-in was rough, took close to 30 minutes to get checked in because they couldn't figure it out and then had to go get rooms ready (despite us coming in past the 3pm check in time.)

Not a good hotel, if you can call it that. It was gross and the carpet was as old as time. The rooms were ok but the water smelled like something was wrong with the plumbing. There are much nicer hotels less than a block away at just an extra $20 per night, Wishing I had stayed there instead.

This Spark took over the previous property and has mostly updated it. The rooms are clean with updated furniture and tech. They are still working on updating the pool area but the hotel was a pleasant stay for my family!
