Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, as well as the delicious breakfast options. However, many guests express frustration with the lack of staff availability, particularly at the front desk, and the need to go to the adjacent Embassy Suites for assistance. Additionally, several guests are unhappy about being charged for parking.

The complimentary breakfast was well below average compared to other hotels offering free breakfast. Most of it was tasteless and the coffee had a peculiar aftertaste. However, the staff was exceptionally pleasant.

Requested king bed, got two queens. Breakfast was mediocre. For a good breakfast try the NY deli a few doors down

The “handicap” bathroom was a veritable obstacle course. I would be amazed if you haven’t been sued MANY times by handicapped travelers. I’d ask your GM to use the toilet once. You cannot access the toilet without slamming your head into a useless shelf. Plus, every time you sit on the toilet, if you are 6 foot or taller, your forehead slams into the same shelf. It is definitely NOT helpful. It is DISGRACEFUL.

We thought it was a lovely hotel.

Tried to call, the phone was not connected and could not find the phone jack. Was attacked by the breakfast grill lady after being advised by the front desk to get breakfast down the hall at the Embassy Suites. Forced to return to the front desk for confirmation to only be told by the grill lady that she will only serve us this one time. Didn’t know the grill lady owned the hotel?? All this to have a breakfast barely suitable for human consumption. I’ve stayed at the Embassy Suites plenty of times and have never had to deal with any sort of problem in the past. Needless to say I was not happy with the hotel and the staff. I’ll have to really think hard about staying with them in the future. 👎

Reception Additional information during check‑in would enhance the guest experience, including: - The floor number of the assigned room - Clear directions to the elevator and its operating condition - Instructions on how to access the pool and spa Specific Issues: - Our room was on the 3rd floor, but this was not communicated, resulting in unnecessary time spent searching. - The elevator was only functioning for upward travel and could not be used to go downstairs. - Access to the pool and spa required a separate key card from the Embassy Suites building, which was not mentioned at check‑in. What We Loved Family‑friendly environment, complimentary breakfast, and access to the pool and spa.

We had bugs in our room. The room wasn’t ready for use until 4 o’clock and once in the room one of the beds weren’t made. The help at the front desk was nonexistent every time myself or someone from my party went to front desk no one was there.

Family of 6; 2 adults, 4 children. Our room had ROACHES and we saw a mouse in the stairway and one that was probably dead on the steps. We were moved to another room on the other side of the hotel and that room had pet snacks (or something) on the carpet. We decided to move to another hotel. Unfortunately, Hilton nor Expedia were willing to reimburse us for at least ONE night for the trouble of having to uproot our family through no fault of our own. As with any stay when you travel, you expect a clean, comforting property. We received an apology from both parties and Hilton offered 20,000 rewards points (is that even enough for a one nights stay anywhere?) and a discount at this property in the future, which will NEVER happen. Very disappointed.

We like Homewood Suites and stay when we find one in the area we are traveling to Dirty silverware in the holder. Really disgusting. Had to wash before use. Found a dead mouse under steps, my husband Reported and it took 2 hours to remove. Had to ask for linens and pillows for sofabed. Not our usual experience

I paid over a month in advance. When we arrived, instead of having a room with 2 queen beds, it was one king. Mind you, I was there with my daughter. I went down to the front desk and they said they switched it because of other people staying longer. They attempted to move me to a completely different hotel 20 minutes away. Instead they put us in another room and was quick to tell me that the room is usually $100 more a night. The reason, there's a pull out couch which served zero purpose. Then... the following night there was no parking spots and told me that I can park in a different area but need to move it before 8am. Terrible management. A woman was having an issue with her room as well because they screwed up her confirmed room as well. Will never stay there again.

Service is lacking. Took forever to check in. The toilet clogged while we were staying here and it took over 2 hours to get a plunger. Pet fee is listed at $50 per night on here and the hotel insists it’s $75. Even showed them that it’s listed as $50 on here. When we were trying to check in there was not a front desk attendant for 15-30 mins. Once we finally got a room the door would not work. The front desk attendant made it seem like our fault and said she didn’t know if they had another room for us… during this whole situation and stay the customer service was lacking. The door problem was out of her control but from a customer service perspective it was handled extremely poorly. I have stayed at lots of Homewood Suites and this was not a standard experience.

The bathroom door in Suite 200 can lock by pushing it full open to the wall. It did not impact us, but should be resolved. The Embassy Suites' Made to Order omelette was exceptional. Monday breakfast at Homewood had several less items than weekend breakfast; no walnuts for oatmeal, no packaged danishs, kind of a letdown.

We were in town for a wedding. Our room was very spacious, had a nice kitchen, comfortable beds, and was clean. Our room was very quiet in spite being near the airport. We didn't hear any noise from planes overhead while inside. The breakfast was good with plenty of options. I would highly recommend this hotel.

No desk agent - had to walk over to embassy suites - told them I accidentally made the reservation for a week out and I needed to cancel the one a week out and book a new one for that night, still no cancellation of the accidental booking and no response from the hotel - when you call the front desk it just rings and rings and rings no matter if you call the embassy suites or the Homewood suites - I will say the women who checked me in was incredibly nice and kind but I am very disappointed my reservation cancellation wasn’t handled

breakfast very good, would prefer bacon available. Close to family that I am visiting. Do not feel right that I should pay for parking, unless I had more than 1 vehicle. Was not that way in the past. Extended pool hours until 11PM would be nice. Need towel availability at pool to be checked more frequently.

Upon entering hotel, no one was at the front desk and we had to wait. Once in the room we discovered there were no towels in the bathroom which required another lengthy trip to the front desk. Once again no one was at the front desk. A sign directed us to walk down to the connecting hotel for assistance.

Anytime we travel we always look for bedbugs because we know how common it is to get them and very glad that we do as we found one (dead) in the pull out sofa bed. Explained to front desk and they quickly gave us a new room. The new room was bug free (I hope anyway) but it was not the cleanest. It had built up dirt and oil on the surfaces. There were no extra bedding for the pull out couch so we called down for it but it was never brought up so had to physically walk down to it. The TV just randomly stopped playing the ONE Channel we were trying to watch. It wasnt all bad as the breakfast was good and parking was not an issue at all. Also, the staff was very friendly.

great place to stay. My wife and I stayed there due to a recent surgery she had in the area. We live 100 miles away and it made more sense to stay at a local hotel. Entire staff could not do enough to make us comfortable, extremely pleased with the service. Great breakfast and everyone was always cleaning something. Met the property manager and he was terrific, really values you as a customer.

This is a two hotel property and they are attached by a hallway. When I arrived, no one was at the desk for the side I was staying so I had to walk to the other side, the person there was on her personal cell phone, she started to check me in and then we had to walk back so she could make me a key. As a handicap person this was very difficult for me. The toilet stopped working in the middle of the night, the shower was crap, one of my keys stopped working and when I walked to get it fixed the employee was on his personal phone. The food at breakfast was mislabeled and when I checked out a different employee was on her personal phone (so three different people on personal phones). Also charging $12 per car to park in an open lot is juts ridiculous. I will not be back. I emailed the property about this at check out and of course no response.

Check-in was great. They have a dog exercise area which was great, with ample parking. However, the TV in our room was not working and we could not get anyone to help us. The desk clerk, who said he was the manager, told us they had "more severe issues to take care of" and said this was a low priority for them. Also the "bold" coffee tasted like hot water.

Couldn’t use the washer/dryer at this facility or the Embassy Suites which is attached. Employees state they have no idea why they don’t work but guests can call number on machine. This is poor management from Corporate. Employees also don’t know rules about toll road and HOV restriction on 66. Again poor management by Corporate.

Breakfast was fine. I was about the same as anywhere else. Asked 2 times for additional bedding and never recieved it when I was told 30 minutes. Had to go over to the marriot and when I asked the desk manager she said you must be at homewood suites. That told me everything I needed to know about the place. Second thing was the fan in the room scratched and made so much noise it was unusable. The keys stopped working after two uses.

Reception was professional and polite. Toiletries. Outdoor areas. Lack of employees, they prioritize the hotel next door. Stains, tears, worn and broken items noted throughout the room including towels, blanket, curtains and carpet. No cookware with 1 bedroom suite.

The ambience I booked Homewood suites; a room with stove top but was relocated to Embassy, a room WITHOUT a stove top

Biggest problem? Roaches in the room. A LOT of them. I've never seen anything like that at a Homewood Suites before. The halls were dirty and smelled awful. The rooms look like they hadn't been cleaned. And it was next to impossible to get help from staff.

We booked this hotel for just an overnight as it’s about a halfway point between Charleston, SC and our home in Boston, MA. We booked a King bed suite, plenty of room for 3, great place to get a great night’s rest and the breakfast buffet was convenient too!

I have stayed at this property before and don’t remember it like this or wouldn’t have booked it again, and certainly won’t stay there again. Super musty smell throughout property. People leave their trash in hallways. Actual ROACH on my ‘kitchen’ counter. Stayed 6 nights, had to go to front desk 3 of them to replace the coffee I had drank. Too expensive for this type of place. Very disappointed!

When we arrived there was no desk manager but instead a sign telling us to walk through the corridor to the connected hotel. It appears two hotels were sharing front desk managers. Upon entry into our room there was used bar soap in the shower and the AC was broken. I attempted to call the front desk but the phone was not connected to the wall so it was useless. I had to go down to the front desk walk through the corridor and find the manager of the other hotel and ask for a different room. While there I ran into another guest who was having issues as well. After some time I was able to obtain a different room and then had to move my family and all of our stuff quite a ways to the new room. All in all a very disappointing stay

Not sure if they need to update their phone but we tried for about 3 hours after landing to contact the hotel. Tried to contact for update booking, new booking, operator, every option. The phone just rings like no one is there. Also attempted to reach out to Hilton and got a call center with the worse person trying to assist with a terrible phone and the most annoying breathing making conversation impossible due to the noise. Tried to ask for supervisor or someone else and was sent to a phone that just rang. Terrible of the brand and hotel. Do Better.

We have stayed here 4 times over the last 4 years, as our daughter attended a college in the area and we visited her. The breakfast is wonderful, fresh, hot, healthy. The rooms are clean and fresh, the staff are always friendly and helpful. We've brought our dog 3 times, and there are nice great areas for walking with scooping bags provided. Highly recommend.

Room was excellent and perfect for my needs. However, there seemed to be zero staff in this hotel. I had a lot of stuff and I arrived to find nobody at the front desk. I had to get my own cart, struggle to get it through non-automatic doors, then wait around for a long time before anyone showed up to check me in (though he was very nice). This was at noon on a Wednesday - not the middle of the night. Then the cleaning staff apparently replaced my towels but never made the bed (??? - either service the room or don't, I'm fine either way - but servicing only some things is weird and creepy) and never provided toilet paper until I requested it. Also I couldn't get the TV to connect to my fire stick even though the menu said it was possible. Anyway overall great room but definitely a weird experience.

I had an excellent stay with my service animal, the staff was friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms are clean and the beds were comfortable. The two things I want to mention is, you will have to pay for parking which was no big deal at $10 a night and in the evening there is no employee covering the front desk you will have to get someone from the Embassy Suites which is connected to the hotel. I say staying at the Homewood Suites is a good option.

Alex, the front desk representative, was amazing! He was managing check-ins at 1030pm for both the Homewood Suites and the attached Embassy Suites hotel. Training new staff over at the Embassy Suites checking in a large group (3 Charter Busses) and taking the time to walk next door and professionally, efficiently and courteously check my family and I in to to the Homewood Suites. This young man is a true ASSET to the Hilton Group!!!!

This was an adequate hotel. A little further from the airport than other options; with a car, that isnt a problem. Hotel is in good shape, cookie cutter design and decoration. I would stay here again but it was just a hotel. Tip jar at breakfast was somewhat annoying.

2. During our 4 night stay - the room was cleaned only on the first day, we had a pileup of garbage in our room which we had to bag. Had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper rolls. Otherwise, the location is convenient and if you happen to see the staff at the front desk, they are friendly. Daily Happy hour is from 5pm - 7pm with 2 complimentary drinks and light snacks (unhappy or less friendly bartender) So little disappointed!
- 5/5
Great deal in my opinion. Room and hotel was clean. Friendly staff. Easy parking and a few restaurants right behind hotel. Safe area but not really walkable. We just needed to stay for 1 night and this worked out well.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet. Only a couple blocks walk to a lot of nice restaurants
- 3/5
Then the people next-door to our room were really loud running around outside in the hallway. One guy was swearing and laughing and appeared drunk. Again, we called the front desk and nobody ever picked up the phone. Wonderful property with horrible staff service.

Would definitely visit again.

Which I was so thankful for. I will stay here again for the conference next year as well.

The lady that was the there the Sunday we checked out it was 11am and she told Us to be quiet while talking in the lobby. She was very nasty and very rude and my niece even was scared! I will never stay there again and I suggest you don’t either. It’s a shame because I travel there almost every month or so. And if I could I would get my money back too!!! Very disappointed…. It was Feb 4th on the homewood suites side and she was foreign and an older lady. Very mean

You have to pay for parking in their adjacent lot. The restaurant was closed. What looked like free snacks at the bar were charged at checkout. The nightly rate was not the same—it was more than Expedia quoted. The pool was for the attached hotel evidently, since our side’s keys didn’t work to open it. Overall disappointed.

The hotel canceled my reservation because I was not there before midnight even though i called to inform them i would not be there before midnight and my brother who had already checked in told the desk clerk my arrival would be after midnight. We were both told it was not a problem. My confirmation noted a last check in was 5:00am. The hotel gave me a room at a higher rate that had stained carpeting and couch and the bathtub was filthy. The front desk manager and a colleague were extremely rude to me when i questioned the double charge on my account. I was frustrated, but i was not abusive nor did i use foul language, however the female colleague was extremely nasty and neither would listen to what i had to say. They spoke over me supposedly citing corporate policy stating guests who are not there by midnight are considered no shows regardless of whether the hotel was notified ahead of time that there would be a late arrival. I was extremely unhappy with the hotel and its employees. I AM HAPPY, HOWEVER with Expedia's handling of the situation when i called. Lin from Expedia acted immediately, made calls to the hotel and issued me a refund.

Amenities could use an upgrade. When we checked in we were a bit confused as we had to go to the embassy suites front desk to get help. The two properties were connected which was a surprise and they only had 1 desk rep taking care of both hotels’ check in desks and it was only 8pm. Fortunately we did not need any additional assistance during our stay. My only real complaint would be charging for parking. It didn’t make sense to me for a property so out of the way from things (in my opinion) to charge guests to park their car in their lot—plain old uncovered parking lot. I could see if it was someplace that was close to a sought after attraction, park or museum or something of that nature, but it was Sterling/Ashburn area. Other than that, everything else was fine.

The staff was very helpful in allowing me to check in early and invite me to join for complimentary breakfast in the morning….

There was no water in the toilet as the water had been turned off for leaking. No one at desk, hard to find staff. Beds and chairs not very comfortable. Breakfast was good and ac worked good. The only issues were the toilet and not being able to call downstairs. There was no bedding for the pull out and was very hard to find someone to get bedding from. We’re told someone would bring it, waited an hour and had to go ask again for bedding.
- 2/5
I had a dirty, hand towel hanging up on my towel rack, the beds were terrible, the toilet overflowed, and there was water everywhere. The room is very outdated, I State Homewood suites a lot, and this is by far the worst.
- 4/5
At check in they had one person going back and forth between both hotels. No blow dryer shampoo or soap but states online there is. Have to pay for parking per night and it does not state that online.

Room was basic and clean in general. Some furniture in the sitting area was soild and worn. The cleaning service didn't carrfully clean the kitchen area, leaving the floor and counter top soiled.

I snapped this place up due to the price. Cheapest in the area by $100. And so very nice for that price! We had to sleep 3 adults. If you stay here, GPS will drop you off but it's not the first building you come to. It sits behind the first building, so drive to the end of the parking lot lane. This is actually a good thing because it cuts out the noise of the traffic on the busy road. They have signs at night asking guests to be quiet in consideration of other guests. There is a later check-out time--Noon. Most are 11 a.m. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Room was very clean and large. Bathroom is huge. We would stay there again if we ever were back that way.

Door operation was difficult each time on entry into the room. Not a deal breaker but it decreased the review from amazing.

- In addition, the website says it's a Full Kitchen, but there were no utensils in the room. So I had to walk up to front desk of Embassy suites twice and request for Utensils, which they said a house keeping person will bring in 15 minutes. Both the times they didn't provided any utensils. Finally I had to walk up the reception for the 3rd time, wait there and finally could get it.
- 1/5
had a handicap room but no one at front desk. Had to walk down to Embassy Suites front desk, then walk back to Homewood Suites desk to check in. TV in LR worked only half the time. When made reservation asked and was told outdoor pool would be open. It was NOT. When we checked out same situation as above. Went to Embassy Suites front desk, was we could leave key but could not give receipt. Said they would Email to us. They did Not. Expect much better from Hilton!!
- 5/5
Would stay here again. It was good price. Nice location, etc. A Hilton property, always a plus. Nice complimentary breakfast and available early @ 6:30 am. Great for travelers. Only complaint is not staffing at the front and more the phone is not answered at all. Three times, at different times and not answered and no way to leave a message requesting a call back.

It was nice staying here for my family of 6. Place was clean, lobby, interior etc seemed nice. Also breakfast was pretty good - fresh fruits(melons), freshly made omeletts, etc. Real plates and utensils. Beds were ok, I could feel every movement of the other person sleeping next to me, but it seemed to be in good condition - no sagging, etc. Being next to the airport, I could hear some flights, but not loud enough to bother me. TVs were little older, but the room itself was pretty nice. they charge $10 parking so be aware

Hotel is clean but a bit run down. Tub faucet would shut off, so dropped all night. Last time I stayed, air conditioner was broke. They take 10$ a night to park your car in their lot, but don’t take license plate number. So that keeps commuters out how? Just another fee.
