Regency Inn & Suites

The hotel is conveniently located to Downey Landing, a brisk 10 minute walk. It is also right next to a liquor store, Carl's Jr., and a burger joint where the club sandwich was yummy. The room was clean and spacious. I appreciated the fridge and microwave. The only thing was that the wifi was a little slower than I would've like it. However, I would definitely stay here again. The staff is nice and friendly, and checking in and out was super easy.

staff... knocking and calling a dozen times or more over a 2 night stay because a friend came over and stayed for a handful of hours and had dinner with us smdh just a very rude meddling but old woman. it's no wonder there were no cars in the parking lot, nearly all rooms vacant... terrible terrible experience

The front desk the staff is very polite. The rooms were super clean and very big. The particular area is very clean having a space to park your car. The whole parking lot is well lit. I recommend this place.

The couch and chair/ottoman need a good steam-cleaning! I am sure the Indian family that lives there and works there could go out a rent a machine for like 50 bucks and give all the cloth furnishing a good cleansing which would increase in repeat customers. But hey, that is just a thought, because the furniture really needs it! Plenty of space, great iron and board. The TV could be bigger, but other than that. My stay was OK to Good!

The place is really great; they had a good iron and a CLEAN ironing board! The couch and the lounge chair need a can of "Glory" upholstery cleaner used on both of them, but every thing else was clean and when I walked in the room, it smelled clean! They could have bigger TVs . . . at a minimum ALL hotel systems should have at least a 42-inch in the rooms. Watching from the bed is necessary for that minimum of a size. The programming was great and I will come back again if they don't go crazy on the price now that I have given them a superlative review!

stayed here because it's only 5 minutes from where i work. room is huge for the price. quiet, i sleep in the morning. walkable fast-foods. needs work on airconditioner on-off button. i'll stay here again if im working weekdays to avoid traffic.

Got to my room and was surprised how big it is. So much room. The furniture is outdated but spacious nonetheless. It is almost the size of a studio. It’s very quiet and no sound from neighboring rooms. You are able to choose from smoking and non-smoking. There’s plenty of parking so no need to worry about that. There’s a liquor store a stone throw away too. Overall a decent hotel for the price with excellent service from the staff.

I have stayed at the Regency Inn and Suites a few times. The staff is friendly, and when you let them know that there is a problem in the room, as a courtesy they will change your room. This last time I stayed there it was unpleasant, but it was through no fault of the managers. Unfortunately, undesirable guests in the upstairs room above my room were fighting, yelling, throwing each other around, and destroying the room all night. They woke me up and I could not go back to sleep. I notified the managers and they told them to leave and made sure that they never stay there again.

The room had a horrible smell. The carpet was sticky. The a/c worked but not well. There should have been a secondary door lock on the inside of the door. While it is within walking distance to a few places, I would not feel comfortable walking alone.

Stay was great. We were in the hotel because we were attending a funeral. Didn't know if they had a coffee or breakfast set up. Only minus was the pillows. They were very thin , a folded towel would of had more fluff.

When we booked the room it said it had a continental breakfast, but it was not available. Also the floors carpets need to be cleaned because they turned the bottom of my feet black when I walked barefoot on them.

The room was spacious. The two queen beds had very comfortable mattresses. Carpet was not very clean. Refrigerator was loud and we ended up unplugging it for for a more peaceful sleep.

Horrible, horrible horrible stay away my family and I travel to Southern California in October mind you we were in a group of 10 they would not provide towels. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude to my mother for absolutely no reason and we were already going through a tragedy as a family.However, the gentleman at the front made up with a lack of service. extremely attentive to our families needs and understanding, unlike his wife.

Lady at front desk was super rude and condescending! It makes sense tho because she probably has had to deal with unsatisfied customers a lot . The decor is super dark prolly so they don’t have to clean as often . This hotel low balls the competition and offers the cheapest option possible in the rooms and expects customers to just accept the condition of the place per the price . Believe me you can find a hotel at the same low price but with waaaayyyyy better quality . Outlets didn’t work after you turn off the lights. THEY DO NOT HAVE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST EVEN THOUGH THE DESCRIPTION SAYS THEY DO. The guy at the front desk says they haven’t had it in 3 years. The cleaning lady pretends she doesn’t speak English when asked hard questions that reveal that the hotel is a joke. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE HOTEL IF YOU WANT QUALITY FOR YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Customer service could be more friendlier. There was a dent in the wall that could be patched up. Overall, the space was big and the amount of blankets I got were a lot which is more than usual for a hotel so that’s great! I would recommend this place.

Location and parking. They lie on the ad about wifi, pool and breakfast. Dont expect Wifi. It doesnt really work - it is 0.5 Mbps speed and take ages to open websites. Dont expect Pool - It is not available to guests. Other reviews said the same . People complain that pool is closed. No breakfast too. I dont know why they mentioned it on the add. It is weird. Staff is rude and dont fix anything you ask them to fix.

I was traveling up to LA for a convention this weekend, everything near the center had much higher prices and I didn’t mind driving to find a better deal.I try to give older looking places the benefit of the doubt, But this wasn’t a great stay. I’m sad I used $40 worth of my hotel rewards for such a low quality hotel but glad I wasn’t paying more. The room smelled musty and stale. There was an iron burn in the carpet, and a section of torn away carpet. The chair and ottoman in the room were completely stained with who knows what. the mini fridge had rust, and we killed at least 2 cockroaches. the bathroom door stuck and you had to yank really hard to pull it open or shoulder check it to push it open, likely due to it being off kilter and having a “landlord special” paint job where there was paint on the door jam pieces. the bed it self actually felt decent and possibly newer… the pillows however were way too small for a queen bed. the ones i used was either something extra extra firm that had no give at all or one that had no stuffing. the other bed had lumpy and misshaped pillows. The ice machine area smelt like piss since it was outside. Since I knew I couldn’t cancel and get my money back as we’d already checked in and were exhausted from a long con day, we stayed. it was just a place we slept for 5hrs before leaving it till 11pm again. Definitely not a place I’d hang out in.

The owners weren't as bad as some of the reviews stated. There is a $50 in cash deposit. They sprayed pesticides in the rooms in the middle of my stay so i left for a few hours until it dried i didn't attempt to utilize the pools it looked locked up. The heater would shut off quickly. The ac part worked just fine bathroom sink would squirt water from the handle. Other than dusty corners and slightly damaged furniture it wasn't a bad stay overall.

The managers didn’t speak any English and it was very hard to communicate. We asked for rooms downstairs and they said “no” there were also ants and cockroaches in the room. The lady manager didn’t want to change us to another room, we spoke to her husband and had him come to the room to see there were cockroaches. He agreed to give us another room. The manager over all are horrible, especially the lady. She was very rude! Don’t stay there!

The motel is clean and tidy, but they do not offer breakfast. We booked our stay with continental breakfast, we paid for it and they just said they do not offer breakfast and there was nothing to do about it. The staff was incompetent and the manager was inaccessible. Do not recommend.

Bed sheets were stained, matress and cover had burn marks, reception was rude and horrible service. Not polite, not helpful, and would not allow me to wait in the lobby while my booking on expedia appeared. Did not answer my questions and did not want to give my deposit back or a receipt without even going with me to check the room for its condition which was only used for shower and restroom, not for overnight stay at all. Never used their towels dirty and old. No toiletries only toilet paper and tissue available.

The Room was Dirty, it needs paint to cover the blood and whatever other stains on the walls. The furniture was so stained and dirty, the sheets and pillows had stains! I took pictures because they have a sign what said if sheets and towels are stained you are not getting your deposit back. Ridiculous!!!! The health department should check out that property!!! Do not book there.

Rooms are extremely clean great staff excellent parking great location walking distance to just about everything you need the metro train station is right around the corner theres shopping centers surrounding this location food 4 less walmart Home depot liquor stores gas stations and the size of the rooms are great pricing is very affordable i highly recommend this property. Im not one to post positive or negative on a regular basis I only post if i am highly impressed or extremely disappointed. Let me tell you i am completely over the top with regency inn in downey California 10 stars

Everything was good except de showers

They try to trick you but presenting a clean exterior but the rooms are like any other nasty rundown motel. One morning, room service took out our shower curtains and didn’t put them back till the next day so we just had water pooled in the bathroom for a whole day without enough towels to even clean it up. There’s a bunch of weird stains on all of the walls and faucets. This place is basically a biohazard and you should only stay here if you don’t like sleeping in your car or need somewhere to shower and I think sleeping in my car would’ve been a better option than staying here.

Front desk lady is beyond rude, and her husband jacks up the prices in you if he doesn't like you. Accidentally left behind my wife's purse and she claimed nothing was there. We have a Samsung tag in the bag and last place it pinged was there. Found the tag thrown outside of lobby.The rooms are spacious but due to front desk attendants behavior will not go back again

When you first check in, they have signs saying that if they’re stains on the sheets, they’re going to charge you. Also a drawer of a cabinet under the TV was missing They also had another sign that said if you needed towels to ask them in the front desk, I came into my room after being out all day and did not find any bath towels, then went up to the front desk and asked the lady she was really rude, I will not be coming back to this property

Wasn't clean, walls was dirty and graffiti on some areas.

Now please honestly these pictures fooled me!!! I thought I had checked my mom and brother into a decent place for their stay I was wrong. The wall outlets were hanging on by a thread which made it almost impossible to charge a phone. There was a broken chair and dresser ( the dresser was missing a drawer. The carpets were”red” but turned your socks black. The whole experience was disgusting!! I would never stay here again !! Expedia ask for updated pictures because this place has lied to a ton of people !!!!

They did NOT clean the room before renting it to me. The toilet was disgusting, I found a cigarette butt on the floor in the bathroom. They had to give us a different room, which wasn't much better. At least there wasn't human waste stuck to the toilet bowl.
