    The room was not clean it was dusty and had hair and small piles of trash/ dust bunnies. The A/C was just barely cool, don’t expect it to be cold in the room. The bedding was stained with a questionable color that I think could be washed out. The sliding door did NOT LOCK!! The bathroom was semi clean. Just not clean and very outdated. The pool was not working and we were not advised till we got there. We had swimming plans as part of our trip. The good part was the omelette bar and the staff working the breakfast bar were awesome. Probably won’t stay here again for the price.

    The housekeeping staff, specifically Martha, was great and helped promptly. I was honestly disappointed. I've stayed in SF's Embassy Suites several times and always had a great experience. Embassy Suites in Downey just didn't meet our expectations. There were 2 TVs but only one remote; asked for a second and got it. Microwave wasn't working (fortunately only stayed one night). There were 5 of us in tye room but they only had towels for two; had to ask for more and got them. The bathroom was very small. They didn't provide hand soap and the water pressure was low. Property layout, I liked.

    The pool was the main. Reason I spent so much money and time for the stay which I would of booked more days however the pool was hazardous to my grandkids we tried to manage the chlorine smell and water but it burned our eyes very much there is zero ventilation in the pool area I even brought it up to pool maintenance person testing the water that we had to get out and it burned our eyes the fumes were very bad it triggered my grandson to have a asthma attack and he dont have asthma.

    When we got to the hotel, we were informed that they did not have a reservation for us. Their response was that we would have to take it up with Travelocity. We had to pay their higher price to get an available room.

    Liked the omlette station Our room had a view of the dumpster, the room haf a sewer stench, it reeked most of the night had a headache by morning. Told the manager, ihe reduced the fee by 50% but at some point , I contiplated sleeping in your lobby from the fowl order.

    While the hotel did waive the parking fee as compensation, that does not make up for the inconvenience of arriving on time and being unable to access a room for over an hour. Staffing shortages are an internal management issue and should not impact guests who have paid for accommodations and expect a room to be ready at check-in. Overall, this experience was disappointing and not acceptable.

    I stay here every time I head to Downey. I love this hotel, the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Great amenities, breakfast is always good, you get free drink vouchers for the adults. Indoor swimming. 10/10 for me and my family.

    This is my go to hotel when I’m down south. Everything is always great. The shampoo and conditioner usually are empty that stir only thing I could say that would need to be checked but everything else is amazing. The breakfast as well the staff are all amazing

    Our room was spacious and clean. We loved the Happy Hour. The inside pool was a highlight for our kids. It is centrally located with lots of eateries close by. We will be staying here again when in the area.

    The hotel itself is nice, the plumbing definitely needs some work. Toilet bubbled when flushed and clogged on 3 separate occasions. The Engineer let me know he unclogs approximately 10 toilets per day.

    I arrived and got placed in a room that wasn’t mine. When I arrived at the room my key had access into the room. There was already luggage and trash from another guest. Had to go down to the desk to get another room. The pool chlorine was overbearing. There was so much chlorine that granules coated the bottom of the pool.

    Good location & clean room, when we checked in. Stayed 4 days. The housekeeping came in every day, and only made the bed, and removed used towels. Trash was not removed, & towels were not replaced with fresh ones. Normally, lots of parking, but an event next door made for no available spaces until late in the evening. Due to the housekeeping service, we will not be returning.

    One elevator was down, there was a huge roach in our room the size of the room is actually huge and very nice for the price but the roach really killed the whole experience and all they offered was 10k points and to void the parking and I didn’t even park.

    The staff at check out was courteous, however when we called previously to request early check-in we were told to call back on the day of our arrival. We did but we were told to call later in the afternoon. Hopefully, they can manage the rooms more efficiently so that they can accommodate guests in the future.

    When I checked in at the Hotel they asked for my plates because they wanted to make sure that only customers are parking in the hotel parking since its shared with Mimis Cafe. The clerk never mentioned that there was a $20 daily fee for parking.

    The property needs a major renovation! The same furniture has been there for the last 20 years with obviously no shampooing or up keep of any kind! I felt very itchy sitting on the furniture! The smell of old furniture filled the room it was disgusting to have to breathe in the room!The drapes were thick and moldy and made the room fill enclosed the small little iron balcony was filled with bird poop!The rug in the hallways are filthy! The pool room had no air flow was very muggy! That atmosphere attracts pests in which I saw coackroaches coming out of the stone where the built in benches were! The hot tub was moldy, the jets weren't working just being in the hot tub made my feet tingle! The bedding looks like the same bedding from 20 years ago when I first stood there just washed over and over for 20 years! Had a yellow tinge in the bedding. Maid service is not up to par with dirty towels in the hall Way and the same drinks laying around the hotel all day. The breakfast look like donated pastries from a food bank! The sausages were not real meat, the dining area was also outdated smelly old furniture that made me want to throw up my already disgusting food! I can go on and on but not enough letter space to continue. I'd rather save money and stay at a motel 6!

    Had an ant outbreak in the room. I went to the front desk to ask for assistance and was told there was nothing they could do since it was after hours. Had to talk to a manager and eventually had to change rooms after a few minutes of negotiations. Initially the front desk worker wasn’t too much help. I don’t plan on staying there again. The manager was great though. No complaints there.

    Embassy's are typically just nice hotels. It was pretty and the lobby with the sound of running streams is relaxing. The hotel itself was a little run down. We had a popcorn ceiling that was clearly stained; looked like it was from some type of prior leak, or moisture. The popcorn was crumbling onto the floor and one of the beds. Kind of grosse.

    I’ve stayed here a number of times and I feel safe and comfortable .the staff is always friendly. The rooms are clean, and they serve a great breakfast with fresh on demand omelettes. The location is perfect for easy access to LAX ( depending of course on traffic) and other venues. I would recommend it for those looking to enjoy a relaxed stay in Downey.

    Proximity to the theater next door made it convenient for us while at a dance comp. The front desk staff was helpful and let me check in early so we had the room during a large gap. The hotel was unaware of the early check in/late check out option that was offered through Booking. Offered me early check in for an additional fee but I was able to show the booking com reservation and the woman at thE front desk adjusted my room to reflect this offer. When I left the room this morning to take things to the car and eat breakfast, housekeeping almost immediately went into the room despite the 1 pm late checkout. They tossed the items I had left in the fridge before I was able to return and get them, essentially throwing out $30 worth of unused food and drinks.

    We had a few issues during our stay. First, the room smelled like sewer/ swamp water. They couldnt put us in a different room so they just brought us some "air freshener" witch was actually a can of disinfectant spray. The tv's didn't work so maintenance did not come fix that till the next day. We accidently left behind some things and called for the lost and found so we can recover our belongings, we never got a call back.

    Our ceiling in our room began to leak and the staff moved pretty quickly in identifying the problem and moved us to a different room. They were very nice in helping move our stuff including our dog who was in the kennel and we’re respectful in making sure our dog was kept safe during the move.

    The toilet also wouldn’t flush properly; maintenance “fixed” it, but it still didn’t work right. I was told the water temperature issue was because everyone was showering at the same time, which isn’t really acceptable. They waived my $30 parking fee, which I appreciate, but it didn’t make up for the overall inconvenience. Wouldn’t stay here again.

There was an odd smell like mold coming from the bathroom and vents that made the whole room smell. Had to keep the balcony door open. I asked front desk for room service and a clean while we were out and to even take a look at the bathroom because vent was leaking over the toilet, No one ever came to look or clean the room and I was there for 4 days and 3 nights..I had to call for more toilet paper and there was no hand soap when we first arrived. Even so, staff themselves were nice but didnt follow through with our requests.

It look like they don’t clean under the bed . A lot of dust . Trash under the bed . Need to take the curtains down and wash them . Stains on the curtains. The bathroom is also small .     Room was not stocked with towels correctly and missing coffee cups for the in room coffee maker. Requested towels and cups from front desk twice early in the evening. Did not get towels until until 6 am and never got the cups. Some other items that did not live up to expectations for a Hilton hotel, white spots on curtains, damaged flooring in living room and brokem power plugs and usb ports on various lamps.

    I attempted to attend the happy hour. Too many people. I would like to suggest additional bartenders or servers needed to make it run better. Due to the crowd I skipped the event. Day one- room it was lacking soap. Given this was a suite I would expect the basics would be the room. Eventually got it on Day two. Staff- this is an fyi for those answering emails. I never got a proper answer on the two emails I sent. 1st email on parking fees. I did not drive for my visit and wanted to confirm I would not be charged. A relatively easy question that could have been answered. Eventually it was answered by the clerk manning the check-in desk on Friday. Second was on digital checkin- I had questions on this process since I had never used it. The website appeared to indicate this was an optional process folks could use for contactless arrival. All I received was a verbatim response on using the digital process and not answering my question. I again inquired on the process when I checked in. “The process was not required after all” it would have been appreciated if someone responded to my concern earlier.

    Rooms not ready at 4pm check in time. When we got into the room the smell was horrible. The hard floors were sticky and the carpets were not vacuumed showing what appeared to be pet hair and trash and old food. There was what appeared to be unwashed blood on the bedding. There was no toilet paper in the restroom and the shower was visably dirty. The lights in the living room were broken and flashing like a disco. When I tried to call from the bedroom the phone did not work. I went to the other phone and sat on the sofa that turned out to be wet, leaving me wet. So gross. There were no other rooms available. They did send housekeeping to correct some of the issues with the room. We have stayed bfore and not had a room in this condition but this stay would not prompt me to stay again.

    The hotel seems to need a lot of work. Chipped paint and broken doors. Carpeting smells like a wet dog. Bathroom door locks don’t work. The mini fridge is tiny and barely fits anything.     The room wasn’t ready for our party. We were a group of 6 and there was only 1 towel in there and no shower curtain. It took over an hour, and asking at the front desk 3 times before we were able to get the curtain and towels. Normally that would be “whatever”, but it was 10:00 at night, we had kids, and needed to get to bed. Everything else about the stay was good, but that part was frustrating.

    Great location. Close to everything from shopping to eating. The daytime staff was truly helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. Being winter time, the room thermostat was not operational for heat or ac. Spoke to the young lady at the desk during the nighttime and she didn’t really seem to care but, overall the stay was satisfactory.

    One elevator by our room was broken. It took forever to get up and down. Our door was old and broken and had to be shut hard to close. The parking is shared with public parking and a theater next door. We are charged for parking but can’t find any open spaces because the public parks there for free. Besides that everything else was great.

    The quality of room cleaning service is so bad. The room was very old and damaged and all of my sheets and bed sheets were used and not changed. Felt very paranoid all night thinking all the bed sheets were used and unchanged. Toilet had been used and the under seat was dirty. Elevators are extremely slow so just FYI.

    Check in was easy, the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. We where missing extra sheets and blankets since we used the pull out couch, and they where quick to issue us what we needed :) .the breakfast was ok, typical omelet station and basic b-fast items, but it did the job. Only complaint would be while we where having b-fast this hotel person came over to try and give us "hotel points" and try to upsell more vacation time and stays elsewhere, which was ok at first but then he just kept going and going and we just wanted to enjoy our breakfast.. but we would stay here again and i would recommend.. also its family friendly :)

    The hotel is nice. But the staff is a little rude. I had a room suite for 6 people. They only had 1 Hand towel, 2 Regular towels, 2 wash clothes. That’s all bad. It’s was 4 ladies in that room. We use 2 towels each. I called and ask for 6 more towels the lady gives me attitude and asked me. Well how many people do you have in your room? I told 4 but we use 2 towels each. At first said she didn’t have no one to bring it up. Then I’m well I can’t go down there right now. Can someone bring them early in the morning then she’s I’ll send someone right now. I was like well I thought you said you had no one???? Well she sent the security and when I opened the door he was looking inside lol I even opened more the door that way he would see all the way in. I even told him I’m not hiding anything. lol he’s oh no worries lol. But anyways never again will I stay there again. Room had mold on the curtain on the sliding door going out. Also the ironing board was broken. For the amount of money I paid for this room. I’ve stayed in better more clean hotels suites for less.

    The hotel is in a nice location. Lots of shopping and restaurants around within walking distance. Checking in was fast. The room we checked in was right across the elevator, which was a little bothersome due to the noise when the elevator was in use. We booked a non-smoking room but upon entering, the front room with the couch smelled like smoke however, the back room where the double beds were did not smell like smoke. We booked the room for 6 people but there were only 4 towels in the room therefore, we had to call the front desk for more towels. When the maintenance man brought up the towels, we requested a fan as it was extremely hot in our room, he advised us that there were no more fans. He was able to find an extra fan in an empty room and brought it to us. In addition, we had to ring the front desk for extra bed sheets and pillows as there were none for the pull out couch. We were not able to adjust the AC temperature of the room as it was controlled by the hotel. The room was very hot and humid. There was a sliding door in our room that overlooks the parking lot but there were no screen and since we were traveling with kids, we did not risk opening the sliding door. This was a deal breaker so we had to check out early. Management was understanding of the early departure and did provide a partial refund.

    Chris was great at the check-in! The main draw of this hotel is it is very near downtown Downey and the art center. The room itself was fine but needs some touch ups- paint, fix the warped door, etc. It was quiet, however the pillows are so flat (not sure why all hotels have terrible pillows now). Not sure if I would stay here again- I think their could be newer hotels at a similar price point.

    Felt super unsafe and uneasy with all the ICE agents in the hotel. Ironically enough the ice machines would not work or the worker on the 6th floor would turn it off. Elevator would take literally 10 min to go up or down, such an inconvenience. Breakfast was a total disaster, some lady kept turning off the machines for sodas and coffee before breakfast was over, made it feel rushed and uncomfortable. On the flip side the cook was amazing!

    Had a great time this weekend. Staff was super nice and welcoming. Room was really cold which I love haha. The only thing I was like it could have been a little better was the breakfast. Most of the tables were dirty both days that we went. It was pretty busy. Also they ran out of the drinking water or juice cups. That’s about it though. My kids loved it ! Especially the indoor pool.     The hotel was very nice! The rooms were nice as well! The only thing I can complain about is the room service it is horrible! They were only in my room when it was requested and the sheets on the bed were never changed. Same sheets for almost the whole week I was there.     I didn't like where my room was positioned (last door on the left next to an exit door). My room didn't feel clean, and I wanted to throw up when I saw how badly stained the mattress to the pull-out sofa bed was (it looked like a crime scene). There was mold and filth around the edges of the tub and the sink was dirty. The room just didn't feel or look clean. I didn't complain because my family and I were on the go from sunup to sundown; otherwise, I would have left. Another thing that made me upset is when housekeeping came banging on my door at 0830 am on my last day there, wanting to clean the room. When I tried asking the housekeeper what she wanted, because checkout wasn't until 11:00, she said "No Ingles", so we called down to the front desk and complained; someone did take care of it right away. The hotel lobby is beautiful, some of the staff was friendly, but I will not be back unless I'm offered a free night in a presidential suite.

    This place is filthy. Only maybe good thing is the free breakfast that’s included. But they really should do a deep cleaning and clean those dirty rugs. I had to ask front desk to send someone to clean my room after walking in the first night to dirty smelly sheets. I know it isn’t their fault but would also be nice to place adults that aren’t running around all night at higher floor vs them putting kids above adults. That was very annoying while trying to sleep at night.

    Even though we booked our stay for two nights and called ahead to the hotel front desk to confirm that we were booked for two nights and would be a late arrival due to the train we were traveling on was very late so we made sure to call ahead twice and was told not to worry only to arrive and be told by the night auditor that our reservation had been canceled and at 400am on Los Angeles on a Saturday night after a dodgers game everything in the area was sold out.needless to say me and my wife were beyond disappointed.

    Stayed at this hotel many of times this time was different. The wifi didn't work with the information they gave us. Second there was no ironing board. Third bathtub spicket leaked really bad for the shower so not a lot of pressure going to shower head only into tub. If your going to stay at a decent place you'd expect things to be in order. Let the front desk know everything was the same except wifi no ironing board and bad spicket in the tub. Stay there multiple times this was a disappointment and bad customer service. Never a follow up form front desk to see if things were better.

    Something was wrong with their system, as another customer was going through the same issue but with another 3rd party booking. There were several kids looks to be a birthday party coming in out of the pool with no keycards, loud and Ghetto, I had to leave with my niece and nephews to go back to the room. The bathroom, had rotten moldings, bathorrom is smaller then normal Hotels. I've been to Motels with bigger bathrooms. I went to check out the next day, and asked for a printed receipt, and the guy said just drop the key and i should get a receipt by 8am. It is now 3:12 as I write this message . smh

    We checked in Saturday afternoon and check out that following Tuesday. Not once did we have our room cleaned. Carpet was full of crumbs upon arrival. The pull out bed in the living room had dirty sheets. I had to call front desk after arriving at 10pm to my room on Monday to get clean towels. Elevator had only one working on our side of the building and multiple times took us a good 10 min to get a ride down which many times we used the stairs because we knew it would be redundant to continue waiting.

    During our visit we had to check out early due to noise of rioting in the area. Over all service was great but conditions of room could have been better for the price.

    From checking in i was greeted by the receptionist very nice game me 2 vouchers to have a couple of drinks then next morning complimentary buffet make your own omelet bar it was sooo bomb!

    Stay was comfortable, rooms could use better lighting. Front desk staff was nice and check in was fast. However, breakfast staff was quite rude, limited seating at peak time because they had just “painted tables” and had the area closed off.

    Excellent stay. Front desk staff were all so welcoming and kind. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. We will definitely be staying in the future.
