Newly remodeled and clean BUT the bed is extremely hard, the pillows are terrible and it was super noisy. There was loud music playing late into the night and then started again early the next morning. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything. The environment was not conducive to a good nights sleep. Will be coming into town for work often and will NOT be staying here again.

Clean, friendly staff, not enough parking but I did enjoy my stay and will be booking here again.

Check in was quick and easy, Room was clean, spacious and ready for us when we arrived. Parking is limited.other than that it was a nice place to stay

Awesome place for the price and the location. Near 2 major freeways and plenty of shopping and good eats in Downey. Would definitely stay here again.

Safe neighborhood. Room looked like they’ve been recently remodeled. Overall room was clean I recommend.

WiFi only worked occasionally. Walls were so thin I could hear neighboring guest snoring. Conversations were easily heard. Light from the building sign lit my room and drapes were inadequate to keep it out. I hardly slept. Furniture is minimal and uncomfortable.

Very nice room, completely up to date and modern. The only thing about my trip was that the people in room above sounded like they were rearranging the furniture and the room next door had the TV on all night. Obviously nothing against the hotel itself.

The room was ok, the bed was hard. The room was on the third floor in front of the main road. I couldn’t sleep with all the loud traffic noise and the lights from outside came through the windows. My opinion they need to get black out drapes not some blinds that barely cover the outside lights. The walls are thin as you can hear the people next door basically having intimacy. Also some random man who was drunk walked into the property and was bothering us. I would not stay here if you need a good night sleep.

Very nice hotel, beautiful and clean inside. I had a room near the street and that was a little loud with the cars going by. It made it a little difficult to sleep. Other than that everything was great.

My kids and I stayed for 1 night and everything was great about the room except not the most comfortable sleeping experience. They need better pillows and comforters! But we were only there for one night so it worked out for the price as well. Luckily we had extra blankets!

Check in went really smooth. Room was clean except the hand towel at the sink was covered in long black hair. Sheets had a bleach smell. The pillows were very lumpy like cottage cheese, they also smelled like bleach so I assume they wash them in the washing machine. That changes the shape and texture of the pillow. The bed was loud because they have a plastic cover on the mattress with two bottoms sheets that kept popping out on the corners. To small for the bed. Had to keep putting them back on. Bathroom was clean and the shower was good.

Really clean hotel. The bathroom was really clean and the renovated. An iron to iron clothes and hair dryer would be nice to have in the room. The beds are a little too stiff for my taste but other than that, staff was really attentive and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

There are no curtains on windows so if you like your room dark the this is not the place for you. Pillows are old and there’s no support. You only get a thin blanket.

I walked into my room at the Downey and could tell immediately that it was freshly cleaned. My room has a mini fridge and a microwave. A closet but no iron for clothes but that's okay. The room was simple with a good TV and firm mattress. I ran into a few staff members and they were friendly. This place is underrated and would gladly stay here again.

I never received deposit back. There was no ice machine. Very minimal items in room. No wash cloths. Only two pillows per bed and no heavy blankets to stay warm. Just thin sheets and top blanket as thick as sheets.

No blankets, just thin sheets. The rooms smell like smoke and marijuana. They do not enforce their no-smoking policy.

Rooms have no iron or hair dryer… When asked to borrow them they told me they had to check if they had an iron available but definitely didn’t have a hair dryer.

This hotel was nice and clean . No hair dryer no chair to get ready at. I would come back if I needed to.

I don’t understand how this place is an 8/10. We arrived around midnight to check-in. I stood at the window for 10 minutes before a non English speaking older gentleman addressed me. Mind you, when I initially approached the window he looked at me and turned around and left. He came back about 3-4 minutes later and started writing in a book then walked away again. Ok I gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was finishing up a task before assisting me. He left again. Then I thought well maybe he isn’t the check-in clerk. I seen an intercom button and speaker to the left of me so I pushed it once like a door bell and nothing, so I pushed it again and said hello. 2 minutes later he walks to the window and I told him I was checking in. He gave me the paperwork and kept saying “no smoking.” He handed me the key and said “elevator, third floor.” When I asked him where the elevator is located he pointed his finger, but that sure didn’t help any. Now to the room…There were cockroaches in the bathroom. The mattress was brick hard and had a plastic wrapping under the sheets so I heard crackling with every movement. The room lights are a weird garage led color. My room window was located in front of a bright street light and the window shutters didn’t help much. The walls are paper thin. The A/C was cold but smelled extremely musty. Very basic room, no dresser or drawers to put my clothes in. There is a microwave and semi working mini refrigerator that was extremely loud.

Room was very clean. The shutters let a lot of light in. Some of the outlets weren't working. And the sound of cars whizzing by was pretty loud.

The front desk was maybe disorganized but accommodating. The room was nicely updated - I would note that the lighting is a bit harsh, but I am sensitive to that sort of thing. I would recommend getting a room on the second or third floor if you can, as majority of the ground floor is adjacent to a busy road and the noise can be bothersome.

I will definitely not come back. They didn't even have a basic hairdryer. We booked several nights, and they didn't clean the room on the first day. The heater was next to the bed, so the hot or cold air was blowing on our heads all night, seriously affecting our sleep quality. The bed was uncomfortable, there was no blanket, only the sheet. The light was a motion-sensor light, and it would automatically turn on when we turned over or sat up at night, seriously affecting the sleep of the people next to us. It would also take a long time for the light to turn off automatically unless we got out of bed and went outside to turn it off, but the same thing happened afterward. I hadn't slept well for several nights and wanted to check out, but considering that we only had a few days and our trip was tight, we decided to leave.

It was great, staff was very friendly, room was clean and modern, lots of natural light, free parking, walking distance to shopping centre! Small toiletries were provided, towels, air conditioning, heating. No breakfast available. I would return to this hotel!

The room was clean and renovated, close to many big chain stores like Walmart, Ross, Marshall’s, Macy’s, JcPenny, HomeGoods and many more, Downey Inn is located in the heart of Downey, was there for 5 nights, I would stay there again. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful.

My stay wasn’t good nor bad . The bed was hard with no covers . The A/C makes to much noises. For some reason middle of the night the lights kept turning on . Kept having to wake up multiple times to turn it off. Wish they had other options for TV . Other than that everything was good.

It was comfortable and good sleeping in there.

Newly renovated and the cleaning lady's do an amazing job at maintaining the rooms clean. They don't just clean really quick so it looks clean they actually deep clean the rooms the only negative thing I have to say is they don't have smart TVs and their channels suck

Check in was difficult because I couldn’t understand the gal at the desk. She repeated herself several times and I still couldn’t figure out what she was saying. The room was so barren, no decorations of any kind just two beds and a table. Made it feel so cold and uninviting. . The shutters on the windows did not block outside light and there was a street lamp right outside the window. That lighted the room all night and the sun poured in in daylight making it hard to sleep. The street outside was noisy all night and day. The beds didn’t have blankets and the reviews do say you can ask for some but why do I want to figure out in the middle of the night how to get a blanket when I realize I’m too cold. My stay here ended up being uncomfortable and a bad experience.

These rooms are so clean it's unbelievable. Every time we stay at a hotel we always deep clean because let's be honest you can't check into a room and walk around barefoot and expect the bottom of your feet to be clean! It just doesn't happen but this location believe it! The bottom of your feet will not be black

The room was topnotch cozy. Nothing glamorous, but well-kept and clean. Staff is cordial, but not unfriendly. I've stood here before. Likely will again.

I stayed here on Saturday prior to a birthday party at Josefs bar. When I got to the inn, I was surprised how new everything looked. Looked like it had been completely remodeled on the outside. I stayed in room 205 which is a king size bed room. I arrived around 8:00 at night. The night employee did not speak very good English, I think she spoke Mandarin, but she was pleasant and after a minute we figured out what was going on. I got my room key. 100$ deposit. She said it would be returned to me within 2 to 3 days after I check out. I made my way up to my room. When I open the door, a faint scent of bleach fill the air. It was not offensive. The room was absolutely spotless. It appears this is a property that has been completely remodeled and maybe undergoing remodeling still. The room was very basic. But everything was new. The only thing I wish was in the room which maybe coming later is a small sofa or loveseat.The room was basically a king size bed, a small table with two small chairs, and a TV on the wall. There's no other furniture including not even any lamps on the nightstands. I would recommend bringing your own shampoo and soap. Not a big deal. Also I had to request a blanket because the only thing on the bed was a sheet and a paper thin comforter. All in all I was a good experience. It appears to be a property that used to be in disrepair and someone invested a lot of time and money in giving it a really good facelift.

The only negative thing i can really say about this place is #1 they don't give you a blanket so bring your own blanket and #2 they don't have an ice machine. Aside from that rooms are newly renovated, super clean, towels and sheets are super clean no stains

Check in and check out process was very easy. Only minor issue that we had with our room was that the door handle was very loose. But we expressed our concerns to the front desk and gave us clarity that no fault will be appointed to us. The best amenity was definitely the bathroom with a very modern design!

The room I stayed at I believe it was 107-1 had no working ac we checked in early we were headed to a wedding when we got back around 2am it was hot called a staff member to try n figure out what was goin on but didn’t resolve anything couldn’t change room it was full, that night was uncomfortable n hot still waiting to resolve the issue

The room looked exactly like the picture, newly renovated. They haven’t done the exterior yet though but I’m sure they will do that next. Still a great stay. No complaints

The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Advance were comfortable however they are not many amenities in the room outside of the microwave in fridge. It’s an end so I’m sure it’s meant for a short day. However, a closet would be helpful.
