Absolutely nothing I booked a room for a night with me and my friend. I’m 19 and they said I can’t book anything because I’m not 21. Which is fine I understand but THEY NEVER GAVE ME A REFUND. The guy at the counter was so rude and said they would give me a refund the next day and they never did. It was a horrible experience having to deal with that.

Nothing really. We got in late, their phone number doesnt work and the "front desk" is in the truck stop. But I had to find that through google reviews. Booking.com didnt even know that. We had no choice to stay here. It was 11 oclock. It had bugs and mold in the room. The beds did have encasements on them though.

The employee was nice enough when it was time to check in. There were many problems though. We immediately found roaches upon entering the room. Ants in the bathtub. Burn holes in the blankets. Stains on walls and carpets and bedding. Things left in bottom of trashcan. No WiFi password. One electrical outlet was falling out of the wall. Behind furniture was dirty. Tiny towels and only 2 for a family of 3. An ashtray in a non smoking room. Complicated finding where to check in. Different hotel name than what is listed.

The property is hidden by the truckers and the dividers. Should’ve been a RED FLAG. Upon finally finding the parking lot the check in desk is apart of a gas station. The man was on his phone ignoring us. I had to announce myself twice. Just to check in. Second RED FLAG. When I arrived there were roaches crawling on the walls, fridge, and drawers in the room. The tub mat was dirty, it smelled like moth balls and roach spray. My bed sheet was bloody as if someone murdered a human and tried to soak the sheets. I know people exaggerate so I was willing to give it a chance because everyone needs a break. But to help you in the future because booking.com sent me an email with this. Do not book here. In fact if booking.com leaves places like this to scam us do not use the app.

This truck stop motel was literally across the street from Kings Dominion. However, that doesn't make up for the negative. False advertising: it is not an OYO hotel (no sign indicating OYO either). It is in a truck stop (literally) and is a truck stop motel. The motel "office" is located inside the truck stop store that sells tobacco and other random items. There is no sign indicating that it is the motel "office". At first, we could not open the room door. Turns out.....the handle needs pushed up, not down. While trying to open the door, if you leaned into it, the entire door and window shook. We requested a non-smoking room, and the room had a cigarette odor. There are an inadequate number of outlets in the room. There was 1 between the beds, and it was literally falling off of the wall (see pic below). Luckily, I had a power strip in the car. Terrible lighting. Ceiling lights didn't work. We literally had a small tabletop lamp that still had the Goodwill price sticker on it. Oh...and it was dirty too. No disposable cups in the room. No ice machine or bucket. Honestly, I would not have used it anyways given the general appearance of the motel. After seeing the motel and the condition of it, along with how the door/window shook, I requested a refund because I had safety concerns. They refused.

This has to be my worst experience staying at a truck stop. To begin with, the area where the hotel is located is inconvenient. And I'm not talking about how it's located near a highway. That's entirely fine. What I'm referring to is how the parking lot has cinder blocks all around the area, and signs stating not to park there. There's so many "Do not park here" signs scattered around the area that it makes it unclear as to WHERE you CAN park. On top of that, I had purposely booked a non-smoking room with a king sized bed due to the fact that I have asthma. Upon check in, the receptionist assigned me a smoking room with two separate beds. After complaint, he did change the room but AGAIN assigned us a smoking room. As we proceed to make our way to the convenience store (which they're using as the check-in area for guests), he proceeds to come out of the store and approach us, stating that he noticed us walking around on camera. On our third complaint, he assigned us another room. If you happened to guess if this one was smoking too? You'd be correct. Escorting us to our room, I was walking across the hotel lawn when I fell into an unmarked hole. The smell in the third assigned room wasn't as strong as the first two so I decided to just deal with it. We also had to slam the door HARD to get it to shut because the door was misaligned. The only good thing I can say about the area is that it was quiet, and if you want to be close to The King's Domain, it's across the street.

On-line picture is very deceiving!! I made reservations two weeks in advance, asked if they had a pool, they said yes, but pool was covered up, and surrounding fence was locked!! We ended up staying at a different Hotel and I hope we get refunded back. If not, we've been scamed and are out about $165.00 dollars for two nights. BUYER BEWARE DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!!

The hotel does not exist anymore under OYO. It is now travelers lodge. There is no lobby to check in as advertised in the pictures. Check in is in a run down truck stop gas station in which we were denied check in due to it not being ran by OYO anymore. We are also being denied a refund on two rooms because they marked us checked in after calling from the hotel and being hung up on 3 times to let OYO know that we were being denied check in as advised by the gentleman at the gas station check in. Even had we been allowed to check in I would have never let my children stay in this place. The outside was disgusting, I can only imagine the rooms.

Check-in was weird. The clerk just ignored me and just kept texting on his phone. Perhaps he just got some bad news because he didn't seem to be having a good night and was unfriendly and didn't talk. Finding the place to check-in was difficult. It was inside the store. The good part is that there is a fully stocked store (gas station) on the property. Don't expect much. It's a worn-out hotel. However, I didn't see any bugs. Yay. Despite being a rather dumpy motel, I'm too cheap to spend a lot of money on a nice hotel just for a few hours of sleep. Plan to stay there again for the next trip to Kings Dominion.

Need a room last minute when we decided to stay the night well visiting kings dominion for the day. Book our room at 8:30 pm that evening they had a room available. Check in was quick and easy. Look of the hotel from the outside is not great but the room was okay and the beds were comfortable for a smoking room it didn’t smell like one that was nice. TV was great something to watch before bed. My husband Sadie the water pressure was good even thought the tub looked like it need to be redone it was clean just looked like it needed to be remodeled. We are not Bougie people give us a clean and comfortable bed and we are happy this please does the trick. Had a mini fridge and microwave also and they both worked. property is old and not well maintained. In the back of a dilapidated truck stop, grounds were unkept, pool was closed, stagnant water standing on pool cover. Overall, so unappealing we just left - lost our money - just not worth the risk of a bad experience. Hotel.com's site stated one room left. The place was practically deserted - many rooms empty; might be most rooms are unusable. Site also stated a rating of 4 - should be a one. Would not recommend.

We traveled as a family of four and were only supplied with towels and wash clothes for two. Was told someone would bring more but that request never happened even though they were asked twice. This location is also a truck stop families should know that upon description. No room phones in case of emergency or just to call for room needs. Rooms are updated. Could not lock the deadbolt but the extra latch did provide a sense of security. We went to kings dominion so this location was convenient just needed a little more attention to detail in cleaning and I. The needs of your patrons. Well let me tell you about my "tiny" problems. I was sick as a dog and my own home had no electricity (and therefore no heat). I desperately needed a warm place to stay. Granted, it was impossible for Oyo to accommodate me due to their own lack of electricity (which, again, they did not mention at that time) but that does not excuse the staff's rudeness and hostility, let alone belittling my "tiny" problems. At a minimum, they should have worked with me to ensure an immediate refund so that I would be able to pay for another room. Instead, I slept in my truck that night.

We never got into our rooms - it was after 11pm and the only thing the gent at the front desk could say was that their systems were down so we could not get into our rooms and had to look for another place.

You guys really mess up this reservation for me! Use the Orbitz apps and got burned. The apps pre pay my room when I asked for pay at property. I was not able to make it due to close roads I called early hotel say ok yet I’m still out $130.00 which I’m fighting to get back from Orbitz! So far horrible experience !!

We paid for the hotel room, drove an hour in the ice and snow to go to the hotel so we could have power since our house was out of power. When we got to the hotel the person at the front desk told me they can’t let me stay and that there were no rooms available

Nice no frills motel conveniently located right off of Interstate 95. We only needed a short overnight stay with our new puppy, and this place nicely filled the bill.

This place was terrible it looked nothing like the pictures that were on the site. The sheets were not clean we took one off and just the other sheet. There was no remote in the room. It was supposed to be a non smoking room but smelled like smoke. They also sent out an email that we didnt show up for our reservation and was charged for it. This was after we checked into our room already. Only good thing going for it was it was across from the theme park.

We didnt even stay left after we seen what this place looked liked just from the outside. No one in office. Sign said in door go to store next door to check in. Very dark place. Barriers of concrete all through parking lot very hard to even get to place. Would not recommend!

I didn’t like to only room that was available, I was asked to look at the room before I checked in. The condition of the room was very poor so I did not stay. The next day I got a no show billed on my credit card and I have not been refunded yet

This motel was odd from the start. I couldn’t find the office until I realized it was inside a convenience store. I got my room key and a man that worked both the store and the motel showed me to the room. He had to show me that the door lock and handle were broken so in order to close and lock my room I’d need to put the card in, twist the handle up or down a certain way then the door would supposedly lock. He was nice and helpful about showing me but I still could not make it work after trying so many times I just decided to take my valuables with me to lock in my car. Very frustrating! The room itself was not dirty, but it was not clean either. I didn’t see bugs but my family who was traveling with me saw them. This place is cheap which is good but other than that I would not stay here again unless I had no choice. I don’t recommend the OYO motel to anyone.

Stay away! It was my bad that I didn’t read any reviews prior to booking. Firstly, it is false information, it is not a hotel, it’s a motel. When you arrive, there are no clear signs on where to go. You first encounter a sketchy gas station and behind it, it’s the motel. Secondly, to get your room key there isn’t even a proper front desk, everything is with the gas station clerk. Thirdly, we rented a “king bedroom”, upon arrival we were asked if queen was ok, which we agreed and then when we got to the room it was two full beds. Nothing is inviting, the outside is terrible, the bedrooms smell like cigarettes and it just feels like a really bad sketchy motel. We didn’t sleep here, we booked another hotel and quickly got out of here.

I had booked for 2 nights, however we ended up leaving on the second morning, there was nothing in our room. No towels, no toilet paper, outside bugs were crawling around everywhere. Our door didnt have a dead bolt lock. The night time worker was nice, he had told us he didnt have the key to the door for the towels that we had to wait til morning when the person with the set of keys showed up.

The shower curtain had mold on it. There were roaches in the room. And i had to ask for extra towels for room with two people but had one set.

Never even checked in!!! Its so dirty. Looks more like a pay either by the hour or for four hour room that you bring a "special friend' with you. Not a place to have kids with you. I saw dirty needles in the parking lot. OYO nor hotels.com would issue refund for this. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE OR USE HOTELS DOT COM. IT SHOULDN'T MATTER IF IT SAYS NONREFUNDABLE IF THE PLACE IS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES SHOW IT TO BE. FALSE ADVERTISING!!

This is a truck stop hotel, you check in, inside the store and there is not a lot of privacy as to who can see that you are a female and staying on site. Our room was on the 2nd floor in the summer and even with the AC the heat coming down from the ceiling was actually too intense to be comfortable leaving our dogs in the room (pet friendly hotel which was appreciated). I would not stay here alone, and I would ask for a 1st floor room but the rate was cheap and it was managable.

The hotel would not honor my hotels.com amount had to deal with this over 2 hours still after talking with rep. From hotels.com the hotel wasn't heloful. Hotels.com spoke with them see report in my file. I ended up paying additional $64.11 which hotels.com said they would refund. The hotel staff was rude refused to help me stated it was my problem not thiers. This was the worse experience I have ever had. Hotel staff spoke with hotels.com my file should show how it went. This property doesn't honor hotels.com prices they refused to refund and also charged additional 64.11 dollars

This hotel I would never recommend. I did not stay here as the office was closed when I arrived at 11:00pm. And I called to confirm I was still coming. The man on the phone was very short minded and wanted to get off the phone quickly. I arrived to a very empty lot, very poor lighting, run down look with tall weeds growing towards what looked like the office door. On the side there seemed to be a drug deal going down. I took a look at all of this, got back in my car and stayed somewhere else!

This property was gross and not at all like the pictures. it’s a dirty nasty truck stop motel. no of the pictures match the actual place. there was toilet paper in the toilet, dead bugs in the floor, wet brown stain on the bed, bed was hard and firm, the property was very creepy and old looking. the site advises pet friendly but there’s a sign that says no dogs. it’s advertised as a pet and family friendly hotel but it’s just a dirty old truck stop motel.

Filth everywhere, stained bedding, ancient springy mattress, cockroaches...yes, COCKROACHES, tv's and lighting dont work, curtains don't close, shady location overall and unmaintained grounds. BEWARE. Checked back out immediately without so much as a question to why. Waste of 60 bucks. Do yourself a favor and do not try to stay here.

So we picked this hotel because it was the closest ones to Kings Dominion and it had the name of Kings Dominion in the title so we figured this is going to be a decent hotel. We were so wrong. Be outside is dirty and nasty the inside wasn't much better it stains in the bathroom carpet had holes in it it was cracks in the ceiling. To top it all off the AC didn't work we went in there and checked in in the morning turned on the AC went to Kings Dominion for the day came home at 8:00 and it was the same temperature outside that it was inside our hotel room. We complained and tried to get another room their response was we don't have any other rooms we complained a little bit more they switched us to another room with a newer AC and had the same issue fought for a refund , got it and then chose another hotel that was a little farther away but the accommodations were 80 times better
