Des Plaines Motel By OYO O'Hare Airport Chicago

It looks like the owners are trying but the facility needs a lot more maintenance. Looks like it may be set up for economical use by contractors. We would not be anxious to return to this hotel.

People beware of this location!! Pictures provided on Expedia are not accurate. This is not a hotel is more like a motel. The room is dirty holes in the walls. Fridge was dirty had dirt pile up. Furniture was 2nd had. False advertising. I don’t even want to get into it about the bed. Don’t not book here!!

Property was fine if all you need is to sleep. Bathroom wasn’t the best. Guy at check in was almost bothered to see me

Door jamb was damaged (door kicked in, long crack in wood) and deadbolt could not latch. Stagnant water in non-working freezer, had a smell. Shower barrier cracking near faucet pull. Missing bulbs in bathroom light...hazard if gets too steamy. Room (#25) should have been rotated out of service. Staff seemed eager to shove me out the door.

The floor was dirty. The wall in the shower was coming apart. The person at the desk had very poor English language skills. It was impossible to communicate.

Very basic. Small plastic stall shower. Towels hardly bigger than hand towels. No coffee maker.

They have a power saving setup that makes charging your phone overnight it is very difficult.

The room was painted a funky orange and the blanket on the bed was worn and old. I was scared to sleep on it. They still had radiators. 😳 I couldn’t believe they charged $81 for this place.

Was quiet and private - my only major complaint was the fact that the room could have used a little more light, but other than that, it served my needs. A clean bed, warm shower, a roof over my head and a place to park.

The sheets were dirty with food scraps and I found an animal hair; it looked like dog hair. The heater was very noisy and something was banging on the ceiling. The place smells bad and everything is old and poorly maintained. I don't recommend it.

Well is my fault staying in here , I was looking for a low standard and I definitely got it here.. The the room was very cold and out side was very cold too. They have an air conditioner with a heat put for the space of the room was not doing any justice. Bathroom was not updated and bed sheets not good cuality..

The floors were unlevel. It was just a nasty looking place. Should have only stayed one night, but I had booked for two nights, and I had not looked at the room first. Will not stay here again.

Unfortunately this motel is very run down in the regular rooms. I ended up leaving after 30 minutes. The shower was unacceptable. The staff refused to refund me and wouldnt provide a better room. Nice people but needs some upgrading.

Clean rooms, nonexistent Wifi and management is weird. I'm in town on business and they acted really odd when i wanted to extend a week. I ended up leaving.

This was an old hotel, didn.t have any electrical outlets for plug in accesories.

Poor lighting…2 dim lights on night stand that did not light up entire room, no plug in restroom, no vanity in restroom, old worn bed spread from the 80’s that was itchy, uneven floor….walking felt like you would cave in, painted over dirty walls, took bird baths due to shower looking like it needed a shower….no one came to bring fresh linens and towels

We were given what must be a honeymoon suite. There were mirrors and hearts all over. It was clean. Had heat and AC. Could if used some updatimg but what do you want for under 100. Its quiet. Good place

The owners who checked us in were very friendly. Even though the motel is older, and a bit run down, our room was extremely clean. The room was also nice and soundproof so we didn't hear anything from other rooms, just the occasional car passing by. The bed was super comfortable, so we were able to get a great nights sleep after spending our days in the city.

I had a cockroach in my hair while I was laying in bed. Killed it, went into the bathroom only to find another one climbing the wall. Floors were full of hair. Room smelled like mold. Shower has mold on the wall. It was terrible. I have the roaches to the front desk. They didn’t say a word. I paid 260.00 for 3 days. We left early. You couldn’t watch the tv because it was fuzzy except for the porn channel which came in clear.

Worst place that I see in my entire life

The wifi didn’t work. The bed was dirty and the lights in the room hardly worked. It was a seriously sad experience.

Nice service and clean rooms

Gross, gross, gross. No alarm clocks in the room, couldnt make outgoing or get incoming calls. And no wake up calls. Tried to cancel and they said no refunds so got stuck for 3 days in this beat up dump. Worst place i have EVER stayed at in my entire life.
