Friendly staff, clean and quiet.

From our late arrival at almost midnight because of flight delays we were met by a very warm and welcoming lady at the front desk. She facilitated our check in so we could rest soonest. We really appreciated that. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Bathroom very clean! Although everything was very clean we could not help but wonder about the smell of cigarette smoking upon entering our room. They did state 100% no smoking! Breakfast was a pleasant experience. Not too much options or variations but everything prepared would be the favorites one would seek in a breakfast buffet. Two fruits, 2 cereals, yogurt, porridge, coffee with fresh ground beens caffeinated or decaf! 4 types of bread, 2 types of juice, Scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and Sausages! Great spread! We come here for the breakfast! No nonsense hotel, smart, mod, clean and bright - with matching great staff!

Rooms are

It's a great option to stay when you have a late or early flight. The hotel is close to the airport. Breakfast is not fancy but have all you need for breakfast. The bed is comfortable and the facility is nice too.

Front desk very un helpful and unfriendly The don’t bother with the fact that the room has roachs and turned away from looking at videos of the room They didn’t even offer to send someone to clean or change the room even I spoke with two people and they said we will tell the manager. Nothing happened as I walked around the property and sat outside. An extra $50 is still pending on my account and the charge was more than that the front desk said they would charge. Very disappointed

Breakfast was good both mornings. Eggs, a meat, coffee, two cereals (Frosted Flakes and Raisin Bran), juices, yogurt, bagels, bread, oatmeal. With the O’Hare airport very close expect to hear planes taking off, but it’s not too bad.

NOT THIS TIME felt icky staying in the room floors were dirty why checking beds for bed bugs like normal my husband lifted the bed and found underwear!?!?!?! Dint look like the room was fully cleaned just quick pass if the last person didn’t get it super dirty it was good will not stay agian

Everytime we go to Chicago, i always book in Avid Hotel coz i love the cleanliness and friendliness of the staffs! I feel comfortable and safe everytime i stay here..its near the airport and SFC..i will definitely stay here again when i visit chicago! None-

This is my first time staying outside of downtown in Chicago and I really enjoyed this hotel. The pool is kind of small so we really didn’t use it. There was also plenty to do around the area so you didn’t have to go downtown to find something fun to do. The room, the staff and everything was pretty good and affordable for Memorial Day weekend.

Took five more minutes to get us checked in. They were nice, just seemed odd. Then we had to swap tv remotes three times due to them not working, or only volume down worked. No shower curtain, shower leaked water into the bathroom, and missing towels. Lastly, a weird stain 6”x9” on pillow. This room was not prepared. Won’t stay again.

Parking was easy, sucked the indoor pool wasn’t open or ready, and the AirPlay in my room wasn’t working and the guest above my room were so loud.

I’ve stayed here many times for concerts. Friendly staff, always enough parking, clean rooms and low noise.

Breakfast has been pretty good with sufficient varieties including for those who are vegan. In-house laundry facility is not available.

That I was cleaning the stuff was very, very friendly unprofessional. My only complaint would be the continental breakfast is definitely not that great they didn’t even have plain coffee creamer. Only the flavored which I thought was odd. Two kinds of cereal, oatmeal that was extremely runny. I couldn’t even eat it. Scrambled eggs that were sub par and some bagels and toast. Some of the continental breakfast is important I would look how smart otherwise everything else was great.

This is my second time staying here, and I would definitely stay a third time. The location is great. It's close to the Allstate Arena and there's lots of food options and shopping nearby. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast buffet is simple but pretty good. My kids also loved the pool.

Because of flight problems, my group only got to stay 3 hours at the hotel. The staff tho got us in and out quickly and were very accommodating. The best part is they made us breakfasts to go at 3 in the morning. It was a life saver. Many thanks!!!

My frustration has been with billing. By booking through Expedia, we don't have an IHG Itinerary number which is what you need for any IHG billing. Avid charged a $50 incidental fee that the front desk said we would get back upon leaving. It's actually 4-7 days. To find this out, I've been on the phone with an AI bot from AVID for almost 90 minutes who has been a gate keeper to talking with anyone. Finally, I got around the AI bot to find out I can't get an itinerary number or my money back until the time passes. I just wish they were transparent about this from when we checked into the hotel versus saying we would get it back upon check out.

Good value for a quick stay before a flight from O’Hare

Clean, good coffee, and very friendly staff. Free parking is hard to come by anymore, but they still provide it. I’ll always stay here when I come into town.

The hotel was super helpful when we were at the hospital and needed to check out and back in, a call to the front desk and they took care of it so we could focus on the exciting event.

It was a good and comfortable stay.. we were there for 4 days, house keeping tidied the room every day and the on day 2 they replaced sheets and everything. There are no microwaves in the room or ice machine on floors — only in lobby. The breakfast was good on the first morning we were there but other days it was stale. Not sure if there were different cooks; and not much options to choose from but that’s the only improvement I’d recommend. I enjoyed my stay though!

The hotel was clean and has friendly customer service. In my room: the main light at the door worked& the bathroom light. Because I was only there to sleep and leave extra early in the morning. I didn’t bother to complain. If I was staying longer, I would have changed rooms. Also some amenities in regular rooms were not there like an iron ironing board or closet.

So disappointed in our stay… I totally understand that it’s a reasonable price. However, the room we were given was disgusting. The sheets had not even been changed, there was a red brown stain and hair all over the sheet. When we went to the front desk to inquire about it the woman said that she could give us sheets that we could change the bedding out ourselves or she had a room that was technically out of order…. We decided to take the out of order room.. but she did not offer to discount our stay or anything. Really terrible customer service and a dreadful experience. Needless to say we will not be staying at another Avid.

Everything was great except the tv/internet situation. In other hotels, i can use an hdmi to play from my computer. This hotel has it set to only be able to google cast, which would be fine, except it only worked sparingly.

After ridiculous flight delays, and a last minute on-line booking, since we thought we would have to spend 4 hours in Chicago before immediately going back to the airport, our flight was diverted to Greensboro and we never went to Chicago. Regardless, the avid refused to refund my money, although we never checked in. It just sucks.

I’ve been staying here since it opened for work and conventions. Every stay get slightly worse. From dirty rooms to people smoking weed in the elevators or on the floor in their room and staff does nothing. People hangout in the parking lot. Just not worth it anymore. This place is going down fast! I check my beds for bed bugs and when I moved the bed not only was there hair but also dead bugs. Thankfully, not bed bugs. This was definitely my last stay here. Also, the sitting area was burnt from the iron and ring stains. Just not worth the prices they’re asking. For all around safety and cleanliness.

I was attending a family funeral in the Des Plaines area and stayed in the avid. I’ve been here before and it remains a clean modern hotel. Breakfast has improved a bit since last October with more hot options now.

It has both historical, and current astetics. Perfect location on the riverwalk. Easy access to surrounding attractions. Even Uber was very easy and quick in the area.

This is my go to hotel when flying out of Ohare. Close and always a great stay!

Very clean and updated. Unfortunately we had a fire alarm go off during our stay and we had to get out of the room for a while. Other than that, everything was very nice.

I love staying there. I always check in after 9:00pm, and the two young ladies who check me in, are lovely. I feel like I am talking to my daughters. They are so sweet.

The room was nice and clean but the walls are thin. My neighbors were up late drinking and being loud. I could hear everything and smell the aftermath in the hall. Breakfast was mediocre, the serve chopped eggs, bacon BITS, and potatoes each morning. Coffee was always available. They have a pool and workout room as well. Parking is free and the location is conveniently close to Rosemont fun.

I had a wonderful, one-night stay at Avid. It was quiet and the check-in was a great, quick process. Extremely clean and upgraded. Wonderful lobby area.

The property is hard to get to you have to go aroundabout way to get in.Very dangerous to walk across the streets to get to restaurants and shopping stores.The rooms were very small but very nice.

All staff members were so nice and knowledgeable. This was extremely helpful with the graduation ceremony I attended in the area. The clean and tidy. The complimentary breakfast was so delicious.

Avid was a great hotel! It was super clean and the staff was very friendly. The area is really close to the airport but a bit far off from Chicago city. The area has a lot of food choices and grocery stores nearby. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re fine being a bit far off from the city center!

The Staff was awsome..however i didnt realize thst there is no coffee machine in the rooms. You have to go downstairs for coffee..the toilet flushes weird. Other than that it was an okay stsy.

We have enjoyed our stay alot! The receptionist and the whole staff was very accomodating. We were travelling with the dog and due the exit door noise our dog was barking alot at the night. And they understood the concern and changed our room mid stay. Very often hotel staff dont care about these things. But at avid everybody was very nice and accomodating.

On expedia it stated it was pet friendly. When I arrived they said pets were not allowed. The desk clerk allowed my pet but I was already uncomfortable. The ice machine didn't work. The water fountains did not work. The vending machines had no pricing and barely anything in them. The room smelled absolutely horrible. The bed linens were dirty and not washed. We were sexually harassed entering the hallway to our room by other people staying there. With an employee standing with them. The pool hours are from 3-9 and reopened again after the time to check out. The pool was extremely cloudy and the chlorine was extreme. It burnt your nose and eyes. Pieces of the windows fell off in the pool area while we were there. We were sexually harassed again by other people on the way to the pool with great detail. Smoking was not allowed but in the courtyard there was cigarette butts everywhere. We heard people having loud sex in multiple rooms during the day. We believe now this was an hourly motel. In the bathroom the light above the toilet was filled with water and leaking on the toilet while you was sitting on the toilet and the light was on. Apparently the room above was leaking and this was an extremely dangerous situation. The breakfast was disgusting and my dog backed away from a sausage. That should give you an idea how bad it was. On our way back to my room my daughter was sexually harrased. There are signs written everywhere about people needing to be in their room by a time.
