Reviews
The Crawford Hotel, located in Denver's Union Station, is highly praised for its convenient location, unique rooms, and friendly staff. However, some guests have expressed concerns about the high cost, lack of certain amenities, and occasional maintenance issues.
- Convenient location in Union Station with easy access to transportation and dining options
- Unique and well-appointed rooms with a historic feel
- High cost for rooms and additional fees for parking and other amenities
- Occasional maintenance issues and lack of certain amenities

Great! Staff was very professional and helpful. There was an issue with laundry-handling. Items submitted got temporarilty misplaced, but were then taken care of. The front desk staff handled the issue quickly and well. When the 3 items were laundered and returned, they were accompanied by 2 additional bags of laundry that were not ours. Unsure if the issue was with the staff or the 3rd party that handles laundry.

Clean room, historic luxuary hotel in prime location
- 3/5
Only issue was size and comfort in the room. It was mini everything and the bed, while gorgeous aesthetically, very dysfunctional and uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Fun spot for an evening; next traveled on Amtrak Express to winter park for a week of skiing with no rental car.
- 4/5
It was a very convenient place to stay. We flew into Denver, took the train from the airport, & took Amtrak to Colorado. Amtrak is a few minutes from the hotel. It is very expensive.

Very good
- 5/5
Loved the hotel! Parking in the area was horrible and the valet was 70 a night and I was told to just call for my car and it would be there in 10 minutes when I needed. I had an early flight and called for my car 20 minutes early to be sure and go to get it and there was no valet in sight and had to go to the desk and they had to call people so I ended up rushing for my flight so that was not great

The hotel had fantastic amenities and a few 'extras' like complimentary coffee and ice cream from local shops that added an extra level of service. Staff were also very helpful!

Amazing location, welcoming staff, and upscale room decor.

Great location. Many great places to eat at Union Station. Loved the complementary glass of wine at night at Terminal bar and staff were very helpful. Will definitely be coming back.
- 5/5
I’m so happy to have discovered this great downtown Denver hotel, right in Union Station! It’s so convenient to take the train from the airport and just walk in the front door of the hotel! The free Lyft service for within 2 miles was a huge bonus too. My room was facing the train tracks and I was afraid of noise, so I asked to switch and they graciously made the switch. The gym is ok, but I wish they had handweights instead of just kettle bells. I will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
It was one of the bed hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Perfect location with lots of food and drink options inside the station. Easy neighborhood to wander as well.
- 5/5
Helpful staff and clean property. Could fix the space under the room door. Could hear everything in the hallway.
- 5/5
The architecture was stunning, the room was beautiful and the convenience of train station was perfect!
- 5/5
The room was out of the ordinary and we quite enjoyed it. We also like the numerous items that were complimentary.

I loved the convenience of staying Historical The Crawford Hotel.

Beautiful hotel, kind and helpful staff and incredible location. Would def recommend and will be staying here again.
- 5/5
They are the kindest and most accommodating people at this hotel. The young woman who checked us in on 4/24 was amazing in welcoming us and making us as comfortable as possible and it was late in the evening The valet service is also phenomenal. The hotel itself is pristine, incredibly comfortable surprisingly quiet and fun too. We will be back.
- 5/5
Brief overnight stay only.
- 5/5
Location easy to get to from Airport. Took train the next day. Brief overnight stay only.
- 5/5
We booked this within hours of checking in so I didn’t do much research except for the fact that it was close to the train so we could catch our flight in the morning. I didn’t realize it was in the train station but it was a very fun experience! We look forward to staying here again. We loved that there was multiple coffee shops, book store, bar, restaurants all within the same building.
- 4/5
Historic location and place. For the cost per night, rooms were not worth the cost.
- 5/5
Amazing. Came here after 5 days of hiking and camping. The Crawford did not disappoint. Super friendly and helpful staff. The room was gorgeous and the amenities were outstanding. After a luxurious shower, we headed to. Rockies game just a few blocks away from the hotel. In the morning the staff pointed me in the direction to the river walk for a run. Sublime. I will be back.

Pleasant
- 5/5
Very welcoming and unique place. I’m from Denver, but it’s always nice to stay there when you need to catch an early train to the airport
- 5/5
Excellent hotel- great staff and location. Would 100% stay there the next time I’m in Denver!
- 5/5
All good except a bit of construction noise into the evening. A crew was working on some repairs to their laundry facilities. Just a temporary inconvenience. I’d definitely stay again.
- 4.5/5
Beautiful kept up older buildings that should be preserved. Paid extra for building upkeep but is well worth paying. Good to see security provided. Close to RTD train services that connects to airport. Walking distance to several big events.

We loved our 2 night stay at the Crawford. Wonderful greeting at check in with a drink of choice and extremely gracious staff. We chose one of the premier rooms with the soaking tub, which was amazing. Great tall ceilings and very comfortable. You can hear the train noise at night, but it didn’t bother us at all. The added amenities (free scoop of ice cream, free drink in the evening, free cup of coffee, free Lyft within 2 miles of hotel etc.), were much appreciated. We’ll be back for sure!
- 5/5
We stayed one night on our way to our ski vacation and were impressed by the beautiful hotel. The room was beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable. And the service was fantastic, the gentleman at the front desk kept making sure we had enough waters and stayed hydrated.
- 5/5
Really nice place and great staff very helpful

Great place to stay
- 5/5
The staff was excellent. The room was welcoming and I slept great. They helped make sure i got to my activity on time since my flight was delayed by 6 hours. Wish i could stay longer to fully experience all their amenities. I will be back.
- 5/5
Wished restaurants stayed open longer
- 5/5
The room was so gorgeous I gasped when I entered! All the upgrades were perfect and the staff was so friendly. Next time I’m in Denver, there’s only one hotel for me! The Crawford is spectacular in such a thriving area of the beautiful city.
- 5/5
Great location and staff was wonderful
- 5/5
Great hotel. Amazing service.
- 5/5
The most amazing hotel in Denver. Located inside Union Station this hotel has the best food options available for room service or just downstairs. With your room key, you can get a free handcrafted ice cream or coffee and discounts for all the restaurants in Union Station. The staff is amazing, greeted us at check in w a choice of prosecco, white or red wine, or whiskey. The rooms are amazingly beautiful, as they just updated the interior last year in February. Pro-tip ask for a room on the 3rd flood because it has high ceilings and spacious w the most delicous decor. Thanks so much to the lady at the front desk (I forgot her name) who took care and made sure things were okay for me in the most sweet and gentle way. I appreciated it. Bless this hotel.
- 5/5
Perfect!
- 5/5
Beautiful historic building! Very clean, and the bed was comfortable!
- 5/5
Staff super helpful. Room was large, comfortable, quiet and very well appointed.
- 1/5
Horrible location inside a busy train station. Homeless men open the door to enter and leave. Rooms are dusty, not properly cleaned and gimmicky. Reception suggested train vs. uber or Lyft (which they are a partner) to go to the airport as a supposedly 5 stars hotel. Horrific all around.
- 5/5
Great staff, cool amenities
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff.
- 4/5
I want to first say that the staff are all wonderful and extraordinarily helpful. That said, there are things to know about this hotel. First, valet can be a bit slow because the cars are parked a ways away. The hotel is actually part of the train station and we did experience some colorful characters hanging out in the central part of the hotel. Nothing crazy but also not expected in a five star hotel. The rooms are quite small but the bathrooms are extremely small. Like, expect zero privacy if you’re traveling with someone else. We were on the third floor so our room overlooked the roof and we had some “friends” in the form of dead pigeons. There are also no closets in the rooms so clothing storage is limited. Overall it was a nice hotel but not a five star hotel so just be aware. It’s very boutique, which is fine, except the price doesn’t support what you get.
- 5/5
#1 hotel in Denver
- 5/5
Staff was amazing! Loved the room and the location.
- 5/5
Staff, room, and amenities were wonderful! It's at Denver Union station so the large lobby isn't apart of the hotel, but you get discounts and free stuff if you're a guest. The free Lyft ride service within 2 miles of the hotel was so easy and convenient to use as a visitor!
- 5/5
The checkin process was quick and easy. The noise level within the rooms was low given that the hotel sits at a major intersection of train, pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The room amenities were wonderful. The tv swiveled to face the bed. They’d really thought through the design of their smaller pullman car rooms. I’d love to go back someday!
- 5/5
The room was clean. Check in was easy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The live harp player in the evening was amazing. Staying in a train station was a great experience. Would definitely stay here again. The free Lyft rides within 2 miles were also a great perk on a 20 degree day! Great location and the soundproofing was also a plus. We could look out our window and down at the train platform but barely hear it from bed! The food options inside the train station were also perfect. From Tapas to ice cream and coffee and fresh pastries in the morning.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The staff was the best!
- 5/5
Front staff were very friendly and helpful. Love the amenities of lift service within 2 miles to and from restaurant or venue, glass of wine at check in, happy hour beer at the Terminal Bar and coffee at the Pigtrain.

Great service & amenities. The hotel is beautiful.
- 5/5
Everything was what we expected..very nice room & the staff let us check in early...2:30PM!
- 5/5
From the entry to The Crawford from the Denver Union Station lobby to the room itself, everything had a special touch! On check-in, the young man who checked us in was friendly and professional. He even offered us a glass of wine, from several choices. The elevator is activated by the room key, so we felt extremely safe. There is a balcony from the hotel overlooking the station lobby, which we were so lucky to see while it’s decorated for the holidays! Our room was… cavernous, with what had to be a 16 or more foot ceiling, soft glowing under the bed lights, and beautiful antique styled furniture. Barely could hear the commuter train’s whistle, it’s very faint even though we were on the first floor overlooking the tracks. Never heard the Amtrak train arrive at all!
- 5/5
Terrific rooms, beautiful and clean. perfect location.
- 5/5
Cooper Lounge is upscale and very nice. Terminal bar is great just to grab a beer and people watch.
- 4/5
Location is excellent with an incredibly beautifully renovated and gentrified historic train station. Tons of eating and drinking establishments to chose from right in the station.
- 4/5
Room was wonderful
- 5/5
The room was clean and staff were very nice and professional. The location was perfect. Central to everything and transportation was at the doorstep. Lots of little perks added to the experience.

Beautiful room! So clean & comfortable. I highly recommend!
- 5/5
The gentleman at the front desk was absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait to come back.
- 5/5
Everyone was welcoming and accommodating. The room was lovely and so clean. I feel special when I stay here.
- 5/5
I apologize for not knowing the employees name at the front desk when we checked in. She was very friendly and also very helpful in taking care of our needs. The Crawford is beautiful!
- 5/5
Location, amenitiies, service, bed....it was all amazing!
- 5/5
Excellent location for exploring Denver. Higher priced hotel earns its rate charged with higher quality rooms and excellent staff. Free rides within 2 miles were an excellent surprise. We both loved the room for its size and feel. Old school meets today's standards which were exceeded here. Great experience if you want something a bit more than the norm.

I don’t even know where to start. What an incredible place to stay!!! The front desk service and staff were just amazing. In a service world that is looking to cut corners this place goes above and beyond to make you feel taken care of. I will alway stay here. Thanks again!!!!
- 5/5
Pleasantly vintage with beautiful decor. Located so conveniently in the Denver rail station with direct service from airport. Everyone was accommodating and polite.
- 5/5
Park your car and hit the pavement with so many options from shops to restaurants to bars to sporting events all within walking distance!
- 5/5
All a wonderful experience, fantastic staff!
- 5/5
The hotel is quaint and interesting. The bed was very comfy and the room quiet. Only downside was no in room coffee.
- 5/5
Love how central it is to the downtown, love that the light rail is right there as well. Always a great place to stay.

Clean room and very attentive service from the staff.

- 5/5
The hotel is always wonderful! Staff is great.
- 5/5
Best hotel I have ever been to and I travel a lot. Complements of hotel: Free drip coffee in train station ever morning. Free ice cream in train station every day. Free cocktail every night in hotel lobby. Free Lyft rides to other downtown places.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel right downtown Denver close to everything.
- 5/5
The uniqueness of the location within an active Amtrak station, with the convenience of multiple restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and bars within a quarter-mile walk, made this a wonderful location.
- 5/5
Superb accommodations, remarkable staff and gorgeous location.
- 3/5
Upgrade was not available, valet parking was much too expensive, elevator was broken.
- 3/5
Beautiful rooms and good location., but the hotel locatated in the train station with all unfortunate enviroment that cames with it.
- 5/5
great stat
- 5/5
The building is beautiful, staff is outstanding and everything you need is all inside the station. This place is a must stay for anyone traveling to Denver!
- 5/5
Excellent location with many amenities and super helpful front desk!
- 5/5
This is absolutely the best experience at any property that I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was great, the location couldn’t have been better. You could walk to Coors Field and take a short Uber ride to the zoo and botanical gardens. I highly recommend The Crawford Hotel at Union Stationif you are ever in Denver.
- 5/5
The room is stylish l, location super convenient if you don’t want rent a car. Airport train drops you at hotel and other trains available from there. Staff very kind/helpful.
- 5/5
Also great location
- 5/5
Great hotel in the middle of everything!
- 5/5
Walkable to many dining options. The hotel is historic and beautiful.
- 5/5
Unquestionably exquisite. Quiet, despite its busy location. Kind and informative staff. Comfortable rooms with excellent space. I will return
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Staff was helpful, rooms were stunning and the welcome cocktail was a wonderful start.
- 5/5
- The building is the traditional style that people enjoy the architecture and interior. - Convenient and safe location and services that I highly recommend solo travelers or seniors
- 5/5
The Crawford is absolutely amazing. The attention to detail speaks for its self! The staff are so kind and helpful! It made our whole trip!
- 5/5
Good central stay. Staff are lovely. Recommend asking for a room that doesn’t t overlook the station though - that was the only thing I didn’t like, thankfully the sound proofing worked perfectly and we didn’t hear a single train.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay. Lots of restaurants near by. Easy to walk to and the amenities are a plus.
- 5/5
Beautiful decor, outstanding service, great restaurant, and location!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect and top of the notch

- 5/5
Amazing accommodations
- 5/5
Loved it and appreciated the wine on check-in
- 5/5
Gorgeous room! Lovely hole!
- 5/5
We'd always wanted to stay right inside the historic train station. Staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The dining options were wonderful. The local shuttle service was perfect for us. We seldom stay in such luxurious lodging but this was well worth the splurge.
- 5/5
Everything was great for our 5 day stay. The ease of getting there on the train from airport is great! Lots of restaurants inside and just outside. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel located right in union station. The Pullman room is classic and just beautiful and big!! Perfect location to get off train and neighborhood! The free coffee they give you in the terminal is a perfect add on. This is a 5 star historical hotel that is a must stay and the smallest room The Pullman is actually massive. They gave us wine when we checked in and waters for our journey home! Again a must stay in Denver!
- 3/5
Hotel was pretty convenient, no hotel bar, but the bar on the hotel level was super terrible. Seriously couldn’t imagine a worse bar - they just didn’t want visitors. Hotel itself was pretty quaint, though the toilet blocked and initially our king room had a queen size bed (staff corrected this thankfully by changing our room). No evening housekeeping.
- 3/5
Fun trip. Person at the front desk was not helpful.
- 5/5
Amazing stay! All of our shuttle and transportation services me us right in front of the hotel, and the a-line train to the airport was phenomenal. There is so much within walking distance of Union Station. Would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was seamless and wonderful. The staff is a amazing. And the hotel is a hidden gem in plain site.
- 5/5
Always enjoy staying at the Crawford Hotel when in Denver.
- 5/5
Love this property!!! Staff is always fantastic and the rooms are truly lovely!
- 5/5
I loved how charming it was. What a beautiful hotel in a train station. I liked how it had its own separate entrance from the public. The bars and coffee shops inside give you one free drink a day or a discount. That was a perk that I also enjoyed. Plus Its really a great location. Central to all of Denver and its fun!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access to the airport via train and the hotel provides free transportation within a 2 mile radius of the hotel.
- 5/5
It was so convenient to activities and restaurants. Looking forward to staying in there again!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel ... great location
- 5/5
Fun boutique hotel - renovation in the Denver Union Station with unique retro/mod room designs. Our room had two full bathrooms! Lots of great dining and bar options in the building and within close walking distance. Riverfront trail close by for walk, run, bike. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel, fantastic staff and luxurious surroundings. The perfect place for the start of our trip to the Rockies and Canyons
- 5/5
Great property and

I stayed at the Crawford Hotel for 3 nights in June, it was not a good experience. I paid for an upgraded room and was allocated a room about 3ft from the entrance and host stand of the Cooper’s Lounge, the hotel’s marquee cocktail bar. Besides the obvious noise issues late into the night, there was a complete lack of privacy and security as an entire bar watched me, a solo female traveler, enter and exit my hotel room every day. There is a general lack of security for that wing of the hotel, you can simply take a flight of open stairs directly across from the amtrak ticket office to access all of the rooms along the open atrium. No security gates, not even ropes, to stop you. Keep in mind, the Crawford is located inside an active, working metro/train station in an urban center with a lot of coming and going throughout the day. I asked to change my room immediately upon seeing its location and was told the hotel was fully booked that night. I checked again the next morning, while many guests were checking out, and was told again they were fully booked and had no room to switch me into. Attaching some photos as it really helps paint the picture.
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 1/5
I stayed at this hotel for 3 days. It was really horrible. At this time of the morning, someone opened our room door without knocking. They disappeared without even saying sorry. Then at lunchtime, someone opened the door again without knocking. They disappeared without even saying a word. I don't understand how this can happen in a 5 star hotel. I've been traveling for a long time and this is the first time this has happened. I went to the front desk to tell them about this and they said it was a hotel employee. If it was a hotel employee's mistake, I think the employee who opened the door should have apologized. But they disappeared without even saying a word. It was a really horrible day.
- 3/5
Unsatisfied customer 🙁
- 5/5
Staff wonderful !!!
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Every restaurant we ate at in the hotel was great! Liked that the train dropped us off right there.
- 5/5
Just a lovely place to explore Denver. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice updates, accommodating and very friendly staff!
- 3/5
Love all the free drinks and ride to our concert, however we had to wait a very long time to get into our room and then we could not get back into the hotel easily when we arrived back at union station. The rooms are nice, but it feels very disjointed and was very expensive so expected more.
- 5/5
Lots to walk to and 15 steps from the station which we couldn’t hear at all even though our room was overlooking it
- 5/5
The Crawford Hotel is in a prime location. Just a few minutes walk from Coors Field (we were there to catch a game). Union Station is also the meeting point for a lot of tours and trips. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The amenities are great including Lyft service to places within 2 miles- very convenient and the staff was so prompt and responsive when coordinating it. The room was very spacious and had great lighting. But there were no drawers or closet space. So that wasn't ideal. Valet is expensive ($64/night). Consider booking a parking garage close by (though some might not have in and out privileges). But the hotel itself was great and the staff was amazing. Great hospitality is getting rarer and rarer- but this hotel has it! I would definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
It was great.
- 5/5
Provision” and “Snooze”. The first is kind of like higher end dining where the focus is on in season ingredients. The portions are like “tapas” so it can get pricey. Food was great but won't be loved by the average diner. For breakfast “Snooze” is an almost can't miss! I highly recommend it. Overall we loved The Crawford and would recommened as a great stay. My only complaint is more about Denver. I actually love coming here but there seems to be a large amount of “burnouts” walking around everywhere. You will see some walking in front of the Crawford and thru the train station inside. If your from a big city it won’t bother you. Feels more like an adult destination. Rob
- 5/5
Fantastic location!
- 5/5
Other than that, I would definitely return.
- 5/5
Beautiful rooms with high ceilings. Complimentary wine and car service. Can't wait to go back!
- 4/5
Interesting fun place
- 5/5
Wonderful property. Terrible scent throughout the lobby. Remove that it’s a perfect place.
- 5/5
The staff was very welcoming at check in, and friendly and helpful through our stay. The location was awesome, close to restaurants and everything downtown, with access right outside the door to the train back to the airport.
- 5/5
The Crawford is a gorgeous and elegantly designed hotel. The location is perfect for visting downtown Denver, catching a Rockies game or a show at Redrocks. In addition, close walking distance to alot of great bars and restaurants. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Cant go wrong with staying at the Crawford.
- 5/5
This is an amazing hotel. The rooms are lovely, the amenities are quality, and the staff is the best! Keep up the great work. I love staying here when I'm in Denver.
- 5/5
We loved this hotel. It was located within Union Station, so very convenient to the train from the airport. It was also quiet and very beautifully appointed. Everything was well taken care of. Staff were very helpful and each night they had free cocktails. I have a pretty high standard and loved the place.
- 5/5
Staying at Union Station is on our bucket list no longer. Fantastic,
- 5/5
We had a great stay. Beautiful rooms.
- 5/5
The Crawford is conveniently located in downtown Denver in Union Station.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Rate over priced for that night due to activities in the area.
- 5/5
Absolutely incredible hotel. Beautifully renovated with great history.
- 5/5
Stayed at the Crawford while attending a concert at Red Rocks. The room was beautiful, the concierge were all exceedingly attentive, and it was so central to all of our planned activities! We would definitely love to stay again!
- 5/5
To have no WiFi service, which operates the tv for 3 days was inconvenient.
- 5/5
I stay in lots of hotels and this by far was one of the best stays-a warm welcome from the reception with a live Harpist, then with a choice of Prosecco, wine, whiskey -then got to my room-beautiful-tall ceilings, beautiful decor, fresh eucalpytus in my shower, Lottie alarm clock, chilled water in recycled metal containers, couple all of that with complimentary Lyft to dinner-woke the next morning, smiley receptionist again-coffee, newspaper and my car at the ready! Perfect ! I'll be back-highly recommend-service and comforts exceptional!
- 5/5
Great service and location cannot be beat.
- 5/5
The service & hotel is fantastic!
- 3/5
There was a wedding reception in Union Station the one night that we stayed there. The wedding party was extremely disruptive by playing absurdly loud music all night. We tried to take a nap around 8pm-9pm before continuing our anniversary celebrations out on the town, but we were woken up by the wedding parties' music and loud announcements. It sounded like we rented a room in a night club versus what we thought was a reputable hotel that took care of their guests. Look up if there are any events going on in Union Station if you wish to stay here ahead of time. We would have booked elsewhere had we known that there would be an inconsiderate wedding party blaring music and yelling all night. After notifying the front desk of our dissatisfaction due to the noise decibels ranging off the charts (I could barely hear my husband talking to me as we were walking down the hallway to our room), notified us that nothing could be done with the noise as a third-party coordinator was involved. The front desk tried to make the situation better but ultimately, we paid for a peaceful stay and did not get that.

Came in by train from California. Beautiful hotel. Great location. Many food options within walking distance.

For such an old/historic building the room was nicely updated, clean, and quite beautiful! It was a little on the small side which didn’t matter to us. The bed was soft and super comfortable.

The property was centrally located and housed in same building as many restaurants, bars and shops. Was within walking distance of 2 stadiums and many restaurants and bars. This was a high end property with great service.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the iced tea bar and dined at many restaurants at Union Station. The rooms had a fun train theme. It's a great location if you are taking Amtrak.

We stayed for a long weekend and this location was fantastically convenient. Took the train from the airport to union station and ready for check in! Restaurants within union station were great. Front desk staff so helpful with recommendations for nearby things to do or places to eat. Plus free rides within 2 miles. Amazing hotel, we will definitely be back!!
