Reviews
The Art Hotel is a charming and modern establishment with a unique focus on art, offering a clean and comfortable stay. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient for exploring downtown Denver. However, some guests have experienced issues with the facilities and services, such as broken elevators, malfunctioning AC units, and unavailability of room service.
- Unique and beautiful art-focused decor
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Issues with facilities and services
- Lack of free parking and need for valet

Check out process was very frustrating, spent an hour trying to get the bill right and management couldn’t explain charges

We have stayed here several times while coming to Denver for Stranahan's Cask Thief event. It's a little on the pricy side, but it is very well kept up and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There are restaurants and museums very close by and their bar (Fire) has great drinks and a good breakfast in the morning. I'm sure we will stay here for as long as we keep coming to Cask Thief. I recommend it for whatever you are up to in the area.

We stayed at the Art Hotel for our wedding night and it was fantastic! The room was spectacular with a great view.
- 5/5
The Art is a MUST-stay experience for lovers of art and culture. It’s a quick walk away from the Denver Art Museum and is filled with gorgeous pieces from lobby, to room, to elevator! The room we stayed in was lovely and the large walk-in rain shower was a highlight. The only negative was the restaurant, FIRE. The staff were excellent. The food was extremely mediocre and over salted to charge $30-$50 a plate. Hit it for convenience and the view, not the taste.

Will definitely stay at this property again

Room was pretty clean, staff struggled a little and not many shops near by.

Bathroom fixtures are a little tricky to figure out, even with posted instructions but was eventually able to fill and enjoy the oversized soaking tub and marble shower. I had no issues at all during my stay

Ernesto checked as in he was amazing so much help and very kind and patient thank you Ernesto the guy that checked us in and checked us out of valet parking was also amazing. I just don’t remember his name, but he was amazing very kind very professional my overall experience was amazing. I can’t wait to go back to this hotel.

Beautiful property and comfortable rooms however there were not enough servers in the restaurant and bar to accommodate the large crowd

ADA room: The handle of the toilet broke off. Despite two requests to have it fixed, nothing was done. Had to plunge my hand into the water tank to flush. Light in hallway out. Poor lighting over desk, but housekeeping moved a floor lamp for me. Shower head and hand held shower did not work properly. Repairs should have been made to the toilet. For an ADA room, poor lighting is unacceptable. Many disabled people are older and eyesight is not as good. Shower heads should function independently, not at the same time. A proper lamp should be at the desk. Staff were unresponsive to requests for assistance. Entrance has only parking valet, no assistance. Lobby had only one person on desk; no one to assist.

This is a beautiful venue in the heart of downtown Denver. The capitol and cultural center are within easy walking distance as is a wide variety of restaurants. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel to any of my friends.
- 5/5
Lovely and clean. Would stay again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Art Hotel. The location is very convenient for a few-day visit.

Beautiful hotel with a superb art collection. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfasts at the hotel restaurant were very good. The location is excellent with proximity to Denver's art museums. The room rate is too expensive. We found out during the stay that others were able to get a much lower rate; desk staff was unable to explain this.

Perfect locatoin for the event we were attending, 1/2 a block away. Very comfortable. It is a bit diifficult to get service or know how to get service. The TV has the restaurant and room service menu, but it has no on-line means to order, nor is it very front and center with any number to call to get service, I had to eventually call the front desk, and get them to forward me to the restaurant for room service. And then I wanted breakfast at 6:30 am, (so I could leave for church at7:30 am) but they only started serving at 7:00am. The difficulty in finding how/where to order room service, and the lack of breakfast before 7 am.

We have stayed at this hotel more than once. It is conveniently located. It's clean the environmental controls in the room work great making the room comfortable at any time of year. The bathroom layout is superb. Two people can have all there stuff in the bathroom without any territorial disputes.

- 5/5
Perfect location for our visit. Easy to walk to restaurants, great area near the museum to walk the dog. Staff super friendly!
- 5/5
Great hotel and friendly staff. Our suite had some missing handles on the shower faucet, the sliding bathroom door didn't close all the way, and a missing light bulb in the living room, but those got addressed and didn't lower the experience of our visit. It's across the street from the Colorado History museum which was fun to visit. The room we had was on the street side of the hotel and there was noise from the street. We could hear the early morning construction and late night weekend party-ers. (the hotel is 2 blocks away from nightclubs) if you are a light sleeper get a room not facing the street. We stayed here as a treat for our wedding anniversary and aside from the street noise we had a good stay.
- 5/5
It was a plesant stay. Staff helpfull and freandly. Good location.
- 2/5
Booked a 2 queen room for a night, and noticed that my reservation through the Hilton app said I was in a king room. Called the front desk and was told I had been upgraded, but I needed 2 beds, not one. I was promised that there was a queen-size pull out couch in the room. When we arrived at the hotel, the room wasn't ready until an hour after check-in time. Upon getting to the room, phone didn't work, and we found that it did not have a couch at all. I had to call for a twin sized roll away bed.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Lovely room, spacious bathroom, excellent bed. Super-convenient for visiting the museums and galleries and public library in the Cultural District; never used the car.
- 5/5
Great location, wonderful amenities. Everything we hoped for. Would definitely go back.
- 4/5
The location was nice and the hotel overall was nice. The TV didn’t work and the fixtures in the shower were falling off.
- 5/5
Not an ordinary hotel. The building is unique, the rooftop bar and restaurant was really cool. Wish we could've spent more time there..
- 5/5
The ladies at the front desk gave me some great suggestions for restaurants in the area.
- 2/5
When I checked in the key would not work because the door lock was broke, then I get the new room across and there is no remote, missed the NBA finals, than at night someone was rattling my door. In the morning I noticed marks like deep scratches on lock area. I was alone and felt unsafe. The next morning the water for the shower was ICE COLD, not a great feeling. When it was time for dinner I invited relatives to join me for dinner that lived in the area and their food was dry and not eatable. Just not a great stay. I did receive text messages to set a time to talk to customer service, but no call.
- 1/5
This was a lovely hotel, except that there was not hot water in my shower. The manager was apologetic and said he would issue a full refund for the exorbitantly priced room, but its been over 2 weeks now and no refund. And i have tried to call and email them, but i keep being given the runaround. I understand that mistakes happen, but its how you handle them that defines a good business. And its shameful how they are handling this.
- 5/5
Perfect location, right across from the museums.
- 3/5
The waitstaff for dinner were not very attentive for us be
- 2/5
We have stayed here a couple of times before. It used to have an artsy charm but that has worn off. Service was slow and reductions promised on arrival were not honored on departure. The food at the restaurant was ok but the selection very limited and service friendly but slow. The room was clean and had the essentials but the bathroom is in dire need of renovation. Overall, not worth the price.

Great place to stay while going to Cask Thief at Stranahan's. It's a nice hotel and the front desk staff person was super nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
- 1/5
Stay away from room 538, right above some mechanic room with a metallic ticking sound all night and morning. Worst hotel experience ever!!! Bed had no support, shower handles were loose and spun, random hole on the wall above tv, they didn’t use a drywall screw for the cable box, so they just remounted and left whole in the wall, no express cups and coffee machine had a slip down lever for the cup that turned machine off, stupid.
- 5/5
Really cool spot , well located.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Pricey parking $54/night
- 5/5
Everything about the property was great except we went for a walk down Broadway and it was a little sketch. Had to deal with several homeless people that were screaming obscenities to the world.
- 5/5
This property is very clean, neatly decorated, and the staff are all very professional and helpful. I’d stay here any time!
- 4/5
Loved everything about this hotel except the pillows. Did not get a good night aleep at due to the pillows
- 5/5
Me and my friends stayed here for a friends birthday and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was stocked with soda and water included in the coat of the room, and we all slept really well there. We attended a nearby experience that was walking distance, and the Fire restaurant was the perfect addition to the experience.
- 5/5
Really good location and fun atmosphere

Beautiful room great location
- 5/5
Art lovers dream! Great location, right next to the Denver Museum Art and the hotel itself was full of art in many different mediums. Excellent service from every staff member, especially Ernie at check-in!
- 5/5
The bath tub and the art are what stands out
- 4/5
Overall, a nice place. The light switches were weird. The room was also very hot without any option to cool it down. The fire restaurant on 4th floor is nice, pricey but worth it. The front desk was very nice and very understanding. Valet was also very nice!
- 5/5
Of a place love the art of the restaurants
- 4/5
The bathroom was huge and I particularly liked the vanity and mirror. Amenities were also great. I enjoyed the gym, snacks and plenty of water. The only thing I disliked was the bed. The mattress was too soft and it was difficult to sleep.
- 4/5
The hotel did not wanted to honor my Hilton Honors diamond status because I made the reservation through Expedia.
- 5/5
Staff was great, facility was amazing
- 5/5
The Art Hotel is the most convenient to Denver Art Museum and other museums and cultural institutions near the state capitol, and has art featured in public spaces. My room looked out onto History Colorado so I went there for a visit (nice cafe). I also enjoyed the Lyft concierge for small trips, and the convenience of tipping by QR code for room cleaning. I was asked for a room preference with regard to the elevators so I chose to be further away. I had a great view and a quiet, spacious room. I did not use the restaurant. There aren't a lot of restaurants nearby, so if that is important to you this might not be the most desirable location for that.
- 5/5
Fabulous neighborhood
- 4/5
The dinning room had very helpful and pleasant staff
- 5/5
The families with young children in costumes for the wild thing exhibits were outstanding
- 3/5
A very good location for my stay in Denver. my room was quiet which i requested. All hotels are challenged by staff turnover and lack of training of existing staff.
- 3/5
This hotel is style over substance. The staff at the bar was awesome but the rooms were kinda cheap.
- 2/5
Female staff that I spoke with over the phone do not understand what customer service is. Very rude and unprofessional. The only reason I did not give a terrible rating because of a kind and professional male staff. These female staff worked on Friday evening into Saturday evening. The male staff we spoke with was very kind and understands what customer service means. Part of staying at a hotel is staying at a place that understands how to speak with their customers.
- 4/5
This was a beautiful hotel, with a wonderfully welcoming staff. The room was very clean and the view of the city great. However, on Saturday morning, the alarm clock in our room went off at 6am. That's a tough start to what we had hoped would be a relaxing Saturday.
- 4/5
Nice looking property with a friendly staff. On a busy street (Broadway) a lot of street noise for the street facing rooms.
- 4/5
The room was spacious and clean with a in room pod coffee. It’s a great location near the Denver Art Museum and History Colorado. We liked the food and drink options at Fire, the hotel restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the art in the public spaces.
- 4/5
Hotel is very modern. Clean and the staff is very friendly. No business center, spa amenities.
- 5/5
A more upmarket Hilton property. Room was very clean and modern. Linen / towels / amenities higher end.
- 5/5
Clean, fun property
- 5/5
Great stay, near my friend’s place. Near the highway 30 mins or less from almost everything.
- 5/5
Nice rooms and staff.
- 5/5
From the time you pull up to check in, you’re immersed in Art giving the place a fun and cultured vibe. Check-in was quick and easy. The bars and restaurants are well designed and situated with a menu commensurate with guests and decor. I’ll go back and stay next trip.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service, very accommodating, beautiful property!
- 5/5
fun place! the art all around was very interesting and stimulating.
- 4/5
Proximity to the Denver Art Museum is great and the hotel is a solid option. Just tough to tell when you drive up.
- 5/5
The shower knobs were very difficult to figure out. Could of made them a little less complicated.
- 5/5
Love the art, clean, great staff.
- 3/5
There were a few things we would like to have seen improved . We had two packages delivered to the hotel at the same time. One was at the front desk and they had to find the other with housekeeping . We were never informed of the deliveries and they had to track the packages down. Also, at check-in they should talk to you about how the elevator works. It took a minute to realize that you need to scan your room key to get to your floor. The lobby is on the 4th floor which is weird that there's noone to greet or help you once the valet takes your car. They asked us if it was our first time and we said yes. Staff should be trained to ask follow up questions to improve service and offer recommendations. The rooms were nice and clean, fresh , with good quality products . The complimentary waters at the front desk and a couple mini sodas and snacks in the room were a very nice touch. Overall we were happy with the stay but communication and hotel process can definitely use some improvement .
- 5/5
excellent hotel, food outstanding, staff very helpful
- 5/5
The Art is such a charming hotel, great service from the valet to the housekeeping department. The staff makes you feel welcome and is eager to make your stay the best it can be. The hotel is clean, and gorgeous with bits of art throughout. It's bright and beautiful and just a lovely place to stay. Walking distance from the Capitol and State buildings.

- 5/5
very clean and good housekeeping
- 5/5
Great location, very neat and nice facilities
- 5/5
I always come back to the art hotel every time I visit Denver after moving away a few years ago. It is in such a nice quiet area next to the art museum and has great quick food options nearby! Huge fan of the restaurant there as well.
- 5/5
Gorgeous, modern hotel with lots of art! Right next to the Denver Art Museum and Civic Center Park. Walking distance to all of downtown.
- 5/5
Great service. Friendly staff. Awesome room. Wonderful restaurant. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
Loved the art. Room was very comfortable and clean. Great restaurant and bar.
- 5/5
Rooms were very big and in great shape. This is an excellent hotel and value.
- 4/5
Be warned! This hotel charges over $20 a day in resort fees that I was told cover the “complimentary” beverages in the room. Just wrong!
- 5/5
Room was clean and nice
- 5/5
Beautifully curated artwork that complements the property. Staff members are friendly and accommodating.
- 3/5
The shower only got to lukewarm. I was hoping for a hot shower. The blow dryer has a hard time turning on.
- 5/5
Exceptional service, great staff, clean room, nice property. Beautiful art. Dog friendly
- 5/5
It was like staying in an art gallery including the food presentation.
- 5/5
Room was great. Thanks for a great visit
- 5/5
I like the novelty of having original art
- 5/5
Good overall place
- 5/5
Fun spot great restaurant
- 4/5
Hotel and staff were amazing. Only TV and phone did not work during our stay and our type of room was over booked. Ended up in with one bed instead of two.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel with friendly staff, large comfortable rooms, and an extremely pleasant restaurant with very good food and service. Right in the midst of several museums, and not too far from Union Station and the active neighborhood near that. (As is the case in many hotels, it’s almost impossible to get the AC not to blow right over the bed.)
- 3/5
The Art hotel by the Hilton was okay. I arrived at the hotel at 9pm and the young lady that services us was very quick. Only problem is the room didn't have a balcony as advertise by their photos. Another problem is in the room there was a dirty robe and ripes on the bed board. Beside that the moutain view was breathtaking. The restaurant is very expensive and was okay. I love that they would try to make drinks that you ask. They made strawberry lemonade and it was awesome. The location is great for any artist or artist lover. But they did have a hidden charger of valet charge when we didn't have a car. The area had some great foods like tiff's treats ( the cookies are good) but is pricey. It was fours dollars for two cookies.
- 3/5
Artsy, clean property with good breakfast options. The staff were nice enough, but need training on how to handle a power outage. They didnt seem to care about guest comfort and told us we couldnt be seated at the restaurant while we waited for the power in our rooms to come back on. So disappointing considering all the resort taxes and premium expectations.
- 5/5
Lovely experience
- 5/5
Clean modern rooms with comfortable beds. Close to food and the Art Museum.
- 5/5
Stayed here for easy access to the Denver Art Museum. Was way more than a convient location. One of the best hotels I've experienced. The restaurant on site is amazing! We had a wonderful weekend and would highly recommend staying here whether you plan to visit the museum or not.
- 2/5
The Bad: almost everything else. To start, there is no self parking at all. That was my bad and I should have done more research but only having valet parking ($54/night) and no self parking is insane. Not only that, but the room we booked was a "Mountain View Deluxe" and im not sure if the photos were old but the mountain view is covered by new construction and not worth the premium price. Strongly encourage folks to try and find current photos of the mountain view. Finally, the $20 "resort" fee. This hotel tacks on a $20/day fee that you have to use or lose each day you stay and it can only be used at the restaurant or bar, and I am not sure what this fee is being used towards except to charge customers an extra fee because I do not think there is a pool/hot tub located in the building anywhere. Either way, this fee is a bit annoying to deal with because you will either get charged $20 a day at the end of your stay or you end up spending $20 worth (or more) at the bar or restaurant to "use" that fee for the day. Overall, some of the staff were nice and quick to solve our issues, others were a little curt and unhelpful. The cleaning staff was quick and helpful to handle the changing of a top sheet that

Hotel is located in a good area, close to downtown and walkable.
