MainStay Suites Near Denver Downtown

Building, staff, common areas, and room was very clean and well maintained. It's a little trickie exiting the parking lot as there is a quick U-turn if you're making a left onto Federal. Breakfast was a great value! Pool on-site but we did not visit. Staff was super-helpful. Overall a great value!

Rooms are not very clean. Build up of dirt and grime under the sink where the kitchen garbage can is and inside all the cupboards. What appeared to be dried boogers were on the curtains and walls in various spots in the room. Paper straw spit wads visible on the ceiling. Refrigerator did not work. Discovered that the GFCI outlet had tripped in the kitchen area on night 2 of our stay and then the fridge finally worked.

It was sufficient for all my needs. Bed was comfy and the window opens witch is a plus for me. The laundry room washer and dryer worked great which is always a plus for me. They even provided a laundry basket . The closet was a good size with actual doors on it. The room was a little bit compact but had everything in it that a person would want in a hotel.

Overall i liked my experience of staying in the hotel. The fist room the assigned to me has a little smell of weed but as soon as I told them they changed my room and I the new room was completely clean and smell fresh. Overall for their price they offer a good service. I wish they kept the coffee machine working till 10-11, though. Not everyone is a morning person

The staff were very friendly and accommodating for our moving circumstances. We had a U-Haul and needed it to be safe and feel like we had there eyes on our property. The location was actually trash. The people who also stay there are atrocious. We saw 2 drug deals and a hooker walking in and out of the building. Didn’t feel like my stuff was safe enough. Woke up in the middle of the night several times to make sure it was okay. Also the inside of the hallways smelled soooo bad.

Location was close to where I needed to be I had to wait an hour and a half in the lobby to be able to check in because my room wasn’t ready. This was after the 3pm check in time.

Hotel was overbooked, so our room was given away. This was after checking on early check-in several times, being at the hotel early and speaking with staff and messaging the hotel that we would be checking in still that evening.

The room was not cleaned. Dirty couch, tables floors splatters on walls and doors smelled musty and the shower was molded and the baseboard in the bathroom was completely hanging off the wall. Completely unacceptable. I asked the room to be cleaned, some areas were wiped up but not cleaned it was disgusting

Room was clean, breakfast was the usual for these hotels not exciting nor particularly healthy but would start the day, coffee machine produced below average gas station style coffee. Still if you want fancy you would need to pay more. So value for money was good, staff friendly, parking easy although the area is industrial so it is just a place to sleep no evening walks by the river. I would stay here again.

The only problem i had was with the toilet, they send someone to "fix it" but that didn't work

I came with my parents. They both said they enjoyed the bed and slept thru the night. They were happy about my hotel choice as I had originally planned to come solo. We enjoyed the breakfast. Nothing different from other continental breakfast but glad we had the option before we headed out. Checkout was fast and easy.

I was disappointed with the room we received. I expected a larger space. I have stayed in other Suite hotels and I have experienced much nicer, more comfortable spaces. We needed the pull out couch for sleeping and it was so uncomfortable it was almost unbearable. I would not recommend this hotel nor make a reservation with you again. However, your staff were extremely professional, polite and helpful!

I brought my dog and they were very welcoming. Check-in was easy and the room was comfortable and clean. I was worried about it being “downtown” (I’m a CO resident and know downtown Denver…), but parking was ample and it was a safe-feeling area.

The staff (one at checkin) was curtious and the breakfast was what we have come to expect from hotels; but the room smelled aweful. It took me a while to pin down, but pretty sure it was a pet friendly room and there was a strong urine smell. We did not say anything but left the window open to get fresh air in the room. They were booked up so not much they could have done.

It was filthy and there was a roach crawling on the kitchen counter of our suite!

It was ok We were going to stay a couple more nights and were given a room price and when we went down in the morning to do the paperwork like they told us the price tripled. The called the night gal and verified the rate she had told us but refused to honor it we checked out and will never stay here again. Who likes to be lied too?

Room had dirty walls and there was dirty linen on the bed , also room had dirty dishs in the cabinet and the room didnt have alot of dish soap left in bottle , also the frame of the bed felt broken .

There were cockroaches in the room. They have clearly been there long enough to not fear the light or people, because they did not run away. There was a bright, neon pink nipple piercing in the middle of the floor. Sticky spots and trash on the floor, on the table, and on the beds. If you can afford to stay anywhere else, do NOT book with this hotel.

Staff was friendly. Breakfast was surprisingly good. I only have 2 complaints, one being the sofa pull out mattress being very thin and comfortable. My second issue came with the overwhelming fragrance from air fresheners used, it caused our family headaches. Other then that for the price and location, we enjoyed our stay.

the hotel was nice and the breakfast was good but Sunday night our vehicle and at least 8 others had windows smashed and items stolen. this has happened before according to the front desk person if it has happened before why dont they have better lighting and cameras i would have stayed there again and would recommand it except for this

Price: I understand hotels often need a deposit to put on hold for the card mainstay needing $100/per room plus the additional $25 pet fee our $216 stay turned into $441 for one night. Rooms: Cleanliness is very important for these kinds of establishments, however getting a migraine and feeling nauseous during the entire stay is not what we hoped in exchange for a clean room. From the moment we entered the room we just got hit with the scent of cleaning chemicals, maybe you could look past it but we were traveling with kids and they started feeling sick the longer they were in the room. Overall 3.5/5

I would of gave it a 5 star, but we stayed here for 2 days for the game. I would think housekeeping would of came on the second day to get trash cans and put new towels. After the game we came back to our room everything was the same a lil disappointed, trash was full still and no clean towels. Overall everything else was great.

Everything was good until the day of check out. I walked into the restroom and was using the toilet and I look down there was cockroach. I tried to call the front desk but guess what? My phone did not work in the room. It looked like there were buttons missing. Also I had a hard time getting the water Luke warm it stayed at mostly hot. I told the girl at the front desk and she just told me I will tell the manager. I also sent a picture of the cockroach to the email posted at the front desk.

The rooms were good for a small period of time. There was a gas like smell in the hallway on the first floor.

The check in was good, but we asked for a wake up call that was neber received. The girls were more interested about talking about other people.

Bed’s uncomfortable, bathroom old need to clean the air ducts, shower curtain old and fraying. Needs some shelving in the bathroom for the towels. Bedroom needs a dresser to place luggage. Pullout couch very uncomfortable. Can hear the bathroom flushing from the floor above.

The entire night was like a drag race outside my window. Breakfast was fine and what you’d expect for a continental buffet, but the area was a disaster with trash cans overflowing and basic items running out as they did not have any staff to be seen the entire time.

Got this hotel for location being close to meow wolf. Not the worst hotel ive stayed, definitely pretty above that line. Decent hotel, cleanliness in certain parts of my room were not great. And quality of sheets / blankets were not the best. But i enjoyed my stay and the staff were helpful, friendly and inviting. They were the best part of my stay. Would stay here again for proximity to meow wolf and the staff. Thanks a bunch!

Morning came and housekeeping was banging on our door at 7am even though the do not disturb sign was hanging. I am amazed we didnt get robbed or worse.

We stayed for the Colfax Marathon and its location was perfect. The room was spacious and clean and breakfast was a great way to prep for race day.

First room we got was dirty ! Asked to get another room and did. At first it was looking clean but eventually we found a lot of basic things not cleaned. We decided to leave instead.

It is nice and comfortable, but a bit old and lots of things in the room with significant wear and tear. The area had a lot of good places to eat within a mile or two.

the homeless building is 2 blocks away. you see drugged out zombies, homeless people and extreme poverty in and about the area. i felt extremely unsafe. the accommodation also has questionable guests and it felt very unsanitary (the guests, not the hotel) STAFF staff-wise, they are wonderful! super kind, friendly and amazing. they did their best given what they cannot change (homeless, drugs, poverty). they deserve to work in a better hotel. ENVIRONMENT i felt so unsafe, i had to leave USA much earlier and cut the trip short. i definitely do not recommend the city. BREAKFAST Breakfast was free and included but gosh, it's the worst breakfast. It's just sugary food and questionable meat. I think it is standard for USA, perhaps. It was depressing to see obese children munching on these unhealthy sugary food for breakfast. THE SUITE AND BED The suite and bed was fine. Poor lighting but if you're there to sleep, it doesnt matter. The bathroom is poorly designed, and the water pressure is horrible. The soap they provided was also really of poor quality and barely lathers. Bring your own soap if you want to stay here (I always bring my own). The bed was good. Comfortable and soft. I did not try the kitchen but it came with a dishwasher and soap + sponge. That is good service I believe. Overall, avoid.

They use a cleaning product in the room which is so pugnant it made me gag. I thought perhaps the fridge was leaking or something else, and had maintenance come up to check but they assured me it was just their product. Would not stay again

Black mold present in the shower, torn couch cushion and torn drape panel. I made the single hotel employee who was on duty aware of this and was told she couldn’t move us because they were sold out and she was working alone so no one could clean the mold’ very disappointing experience.

The staff at this hotel were great and very helpful. However, if you need a dark room to sleep this is not the hotel for you. The rooms do not have blackout curtains, and the area is very well lit outside. Our first night was spent on the first floor with many lights from the parking shining directly on our bed. We were also in the room next to the gym, and were woken up at 11 pm when someone started bouncing a heavy medicine ball against the adjoining wall. The staff helpfully moved us to a different room for the remainder of our stay. The property borders the highway off ramp and there was a constant stream of grifters in the area, they did not approach us in the parking lot and seemed to respect that as a boundary. The breakfast was typical hotel food, not great but edible.

Tv is cracked. Pull out mattresses had crumbs in it and under. Couch cushions had stains that looked like feeces. There are dirty towels in the closet and the whole hall and room smells of cigarette smoke.

The floor of our room was very sticky. Everytime we walked across it you could hear our shoes sticking and peeling up. We were afraid to walk across it without shoes. The toilet paper holder was broken off the wall and the toilet paper was just sitting on the back of the toilet tank. Other than that the room was in decent condition. The pool water was way too cold. The hallways reeked of pot. The elevator had some issues. It stopped on our floor but the doors remained shut and took us up to the next floor where the doors remained shut and we had to push our floor button mulitple times before it would take us to the correct floor and open the doors.

The property was filthy. The Hotel smelled like weed the whole time. Our room smelt like weed. We took bed sheets out of the closet to use and they were dirty. The lady that was monitoring breakfast was extremely rude. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone with kids. The homeless people have decided it is there hang out place and not one time did the employee's to do anything to make sure there guests were safe. Its was very uncomfortable and un safe. I will never stay there again. I do not recommend.

Good value for a post-concert place to crash. Room was good except sofa bed was grubby (we had two queens so didn’t have to use it). Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly.

The rooms are large, clean and updated! There was a mini fridge and microwave in our room along with free breakfast … but…. The curtains were dirty and you can’t close them if you decide to sleep later than the sun rise. And being close to an interstate/busy road, you can imagine the noise…. Otherwise, a very nice, clean and spacious room.

This property was filthy noisy and all around lousy. I booked for two nights and refused to stay the second night and they would not issue a refund. I will be sure and tell my friends to avoid this place at all costs.

This place is great for out of towners going to Mile High stadium. This was my second stay and the hotel is great

Staff was friendly and helpful, but not jumping to help when on their personal phones. Hotel was clean but could use some updates. If you don't have a car or don't want to drive several miles, there are no nearby restaurants or stores and have to go through iffy neighborhood or downtown to get to them. It was clean and fine for our night's stay- we had the mini kitchen, which would have been great if it wasn't such a quick stop. We needed to leave too early to check out the free breakfast.

Someone’s underwear was left in our room. Clearly wasn’t cleaned very well after the last guest. Also, the chain lock on the inside of the door was broken. If I was staying there alone I would have requested another room.

There was some unknown bodily fluids on the smoke detector, blood on the comforter. The door had a broken security lock.

The fire alarms worked well. A truck knocked the overhead sprinkler head out of the covered parking entrance. Fire trucks arrived quickly to turn off the water. We were able to return to our rooms in 15 minutes. Always take your keys, phone, and wallet in case you can’t get back in.

I paid $160 for a dirty nasty MOTEL!!! I made the young manager aware that the sofa was so soiled I could not sit on it, let alone sleep on it!! The managers response was that the other room available had furniture in worse condition. Side tables were broken and had missing knobs. The bed and sofa were badly soiled and since I could not receive a REFUND!! I purchased blankets and slept on top of the bed!! This was AWFUL!!!!!!

Based on the reviews, I was leary! But I was so impressed with this hotel. The room was huge. The beds were soft. Wifi and AC blew cold. Room had everything you need!! The area was conveniently located to all things! Easy highway access. Would highly recommend.

Just seemed rather rundown and not very clean for the age of the facility. That, plus it seemed understaffed.

My husband & I were in town for the Morgan Wallen concert & our 20th wedding anniversary. I paid extra to have a king bed & City view. We were placed on the 2nd floor. Our view was of the massive AC units of the building behind the hotel. There was nothing they could do. There wasn’t a tub in the room. The bed was comfortable.

Sofa bed was broken, phone in the room wasn't working.. had to go down twice to get clean linen from the front desk since the linen in the closet was dirty. Property is old and very basic. Lady at the front desk was nice but can't do much if there aren't any pillowcase available .

CECKIN 2.5 HOURS LATE

Do not stay here if you want to sleep. There is a night club next door and there was loud music playing till the wee hours of the morning. People were drinking in the parking lot right outside the front entrance. The front desk was unwilling/unable to do anything about the noise or illegal conduct. The breakfast food was stale.

Property is closer to downtown which is good. TV is older type. Breakfast items were good and fresh. Having kitchen and full size fridge in the room was helpful.

This is the best budget hotel I've stayed at in a very, very long time. Convenient to 2 highways, huge parking lot, very clean room, updated bathroom. It was better than most Hampton Inns I've stayed at for a lot less money. Highly recommend. And women should feel safe here due to the big, well lit parking and the open lobby as well as overall security.
