Reviews
Many guests expressed dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the hotel, citing issues such as dirty rooms, stained pillows, and unpleasant odors. The breakfast was also a common complaint, with guests describing it as limited, subpar, and done on the cheap. On the other hand, the staff were frequently praised for being friendly and helpful, despite the hotel appearing to be understaffed.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Less expensive than other hotels in the area
- Poor cleanliness and unpleasant odors in rooms
- Subpar breakfast

Terrible stay. No Hot Water! When I called, the front desk said that the maintenance man would work on it when he arrived at 8. No effort was made to get this problem fixed sooner. No offer was made to do anything at all about the fact that I had to leave by 8 and couldn't wash my hair due to frigid water. The parking lot is far too dark. Further, the front desk announced to me that the front doors were the only way in. When I was leaving in the morning, I saw that a back door was propped open.

the room was nice. Your website did not indicate that the pool was not available. i planned our afternoon time to be in the pool.

The bedding in the room was stained and when looking for a missing necklace we pulled the bed away from the wall and once seeing all the dust, garbage, and unmentionables, we quickly pushed the bed back against the wall. The breakfast was sub-standard including the coffee. The appearance of the staff was unprofessional, no uniforms and having multiple facial piercings which were quite distracting. The dirty pool was closed for the season. The unknowledgeable front staff member told me ‘I could swim in a cold pool if I wanted’ when I asked about the pool. Additionally, the water was to be shut off Saturday from 10am - 3pm, the time frame we planned to clean up for our afternoon event. We were not notified of the pool closure or water shut-off when checking in. Because of lack of room cleanliness, the pool closure, lack of water for hours during our stay we requested to cancel the remainder of our stay and opted for another LaQuinta, one which we are more familiar with. The shift manager was unapologetic and insensitive to our concerns, only offering a one night refund, instead of not offering a full one night refund and a second night refund less a late checkout charge.

The front desk staff were really nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The public room for breakfast was nice. The "room service" was a QR code and when we ordered, there was no way to talk to an actual person. Our order never came, and we lost money, there was no way to recoup it. That was really disappointing. The breakfast wasn't that great. I am allergic to gluten so the options for me were very limited. There was a water issue and we had no water for the better part of one day of our stay. The elevator seemed creaky and we had long wait periods to use the elevator.

Quiet, well run, clean comfy room, perfect for a few nights.

Thanks to Duck at front desk. She helped get the dates fixed on my reservation.

GM was very helpful when I needed to extend extra night; I had booked on an OTA so I was nice to book right at the front desk nothing I can think of; best stay I've had in a long time, and I travel often

It certainly got the job done in a pinch and had everything we needed Our first room smelled like cat pee so we had to ask to move and the second room also had a weird smell but it was more so weird then bad and it was super late so we just went with that. Its most likely the carpet, I don’t think theyve ever once been cleaned. Would highly recommend they invest in that cause it would make a huge difference in their reviews

The hallways has a musty type odor, someone had dropped cigarette ashes in the hallway, outside for would not functioning, so someone with limited mobility had to walk around back to main entrance.

The lobby and first floor continually smelled of marijuana, even though it’s a non smoking property. The card readers on all outside access doors didn’t work, so had to come in through the lobby every time. We had intended to do some laundry, but all the machines were out of order. The rooms are only cleaned by request, but that notice is only posted in the elevators and we were on the first floor, so we were unaware until we asked, as it was not mentioned when we checked in.

The room was nice, clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was pleasant. I'd have given 5 stars except for 2 problems; 1) There was a missing lightbulb and 1that burned out. When I asked staff for a new lightbulb, she said there was nothing she could do, it was a maintenance issue and they'd be back in the morning. There was no attempt at a remedy and I figured out for myself to swap with another lamp. We were also dismayed that wifi was only free if we signed up for rewards; in this era, that was ridiculous.
- 2/5
Dead bug on the rug, no meat or protein offered, air conditioner fan motor loud and noisy, not functioning well. We had two rooms and four guests, 3 got cold showers, I, being the 4th did not even take a shower, due to hot water issues.

The hotel is in terrible shape. There are broken tiles in the lobby, scratches and dents along most of the walls throughout the total, and several areas of the ceiling had proof of water damage. The night shift gentleman at the front desk was excellent when we needed to switch rooms. At no point during our stay did we have hot water. We were told it’s because there are only 2 water heaters for the entire hotel. The sheets and comforter in our room were torn and had several holes.
- 4/5
Convenient to all activities, zoo, Coors Field, and Red Rocks. We were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the room was based on previous reviews. The room had a small refrigerator ans microwave. The one issue was the water for the shower. It would be hot, then cool, then hot again. Shower fast.

Our reserved room was not available. The night manager was quick to provide an alternate. He was accommodating. Our room was dirty, bed unmade, stains, bedding was stained. We had to change our own sheets etc. at midnight. The breakfast was waffles, cereal, toast, and hardboiled eggs. Not impressed. For a non smoking hotel we smell Marijuana smoke all night. ...yuk.

The location was good. The hotel was run down. The thermostat on the wall didn’t work. Looked like someone tried to force their way into my room and broke the door lock, so my door was stuck closed even though the lock was green. 2 of the days I stayed, two different people where doing major car maintenance in the parking lot. There were homeless people inside and outside the hotel. There were people sitting outside in cars who I think were selling drugs, or possibly pimps. I didn’t feel like my car was safe overnight.

Everything was perfect. Everything. The breakfast was beyond perfect. Something for everyone and the coffee was excellent. I’ll return ASAP. I loved the spacious large comfy room. The heater was wonderful too as I got wet and cold attending an outdoor Red Rocks amphitheater concert and it rained. Thank you for being there when I needed a place to stay in Lakewood CO. I’ll be back. GV.

When we arrived the room reeked of cigarette smoke. I was traveling with my 2 year old so this was unacceptable. I asked the front desk for a new room, as I didn’t want my 2 year old to stay in a smokers room. The front desk said they didn’t have any other rooms. I requested a refund at this point. The manager said that Hotels.com would be the one to refund me. When I reached out to Hotels.com, they stated that the reservation was already cancelled so there was nothing they could refund. I will never be staying here again.

The floors in the hotel were pretty banged up, but this wasn’t an issue for me. I did however, have some trouble sleeping both of the nights I stayed because the people staying in the rooms next to me were loud and woke me up at one in the morning. A little frustrating since I had to wake up early, and also because I didn’t understand why there were so many people staying on the same floor as me, and in the rooms right next to me, when it seemed like the hotel wasn’t that full. I could be wrong though. Also, I accidentally spilled rice when I was taking it out of the microwave, so apologies for that!

Pool - Closed, yet still advertised on Expedia. Room - Waited 90 minutes for hot water on Sunday morning, finally took a 60 second cold shower because I ran out of time. Next day, lukewarm 120second shower before turning cold again. Sink leaked water on your feet when using faucet, bed was awful and sheets kept coming off. Super thin walls, since the thermostat was broken, I tried to turn the fan on but it wouldn't allow it. Tried to sleep with a white noise app on my phone but still head everything in the room next door (aka hip hop at 7am blaring) and in the hallway. Breakfast - Mostly as expected, bagels, waffles, no scrambled eggs, potatoes or sausage like most continentals. Location - Handy for our needs, easy on and off freeway. Walked to Chicago Pizza, fairly vacant but safe area.

In the first room we could hear all the highway and outside noise as if there was no glass in the window at all, the toilet was so low it made it awkward to use and everything was old and smelled musty, the shower curtain was torn which allowed water to pool on the floor we had to make daily request for towels by 8am or do without , at night it seemed to turn into a homeless shelter with many strange looking people hanging in the lobby with the night attendant, they smelled of alcohol and drugs and made racist comments which where offensive and made my husband and I very uncomfortable and we felt unsafe .The breakfast was limited phones in room didn’t work and the thermostat was not working properly the tv was small which made it difficult to watch in the bed the elevator at times was dirty with trash and smelled of marijiana nothing appeared like the website portrayed we were unable to enjoy the amenities for one reason or another and had to replace our room key several times this wasn’t the worse experience but diffidently far from the best I guess you get what you pay for.

The hotel has gone down hill, just in a matter of weeks! I was here three weeks ago and it looks so different this time, it’s stinks and is very dirty, unlike last time. I won’t be coming back! What a shame! ! I had to change rooms because the first one smelt like Bo and bad gas.YUCK!!!

First, could not get internet at this location. You have to be a Wyndham rewards member to get "free" internet. So, you either have to sign up for their program, or be a member. I am member, but couldn't remember my password. It's in the cloud in a secure location, but couldn't access it since I had no internet. I guess back to the days of paying for internet like the good ol days. At least at this location. No way I'm paying for internet at any hotel. And, this morning, we barely had hot water in the shower. Sink was fine, but took forever for the shower to become luke warm, and totally changed to freezing water again within about 5 minutes. Do not recommend this place. There are a few other, nicer, hotels in the area. At least 4 others.
- 4/5
Internet didn’t work in our room and tv volume wouldn’t change on the remote or on the TV. Other than that, it was a great day.

It’s been almost a year since we last stayed here and sad to say it has changed. The rooms were not cleaned, the sheets had burnt marks, there was melted ice cream sandwiches left in mini fridge, and the water in the showers would be super cold then turn to warm then hot and back to super cold.

I don't even know where to start but here it goes: 1. As soon as we arrived to the hotel got our room key and walked down the hall to the elevator, the odour was horrific, they claim that the hotel is a "smoke free" area... FALSE, the odour of marijuana was everywhere! 2. We arrive into our room, and my oh my, to the naked eye, yeah the room looks ok... but put a black light to it and it's the most disgusting demonic scene ever... I truly don't think this hotel ever received a deep deep clean, it was DISGUSTING, puddles in the carpet, spots all over the walls, furniture just everywhere! I was happy to see no spots on the bed sheets, so at least I had a clean bed, otherwise... I wouldn't dare give my socks the disservice of touching those carpets... so I kept my shoes on. 3. NO HOT WATER... finally, after a long trip, I wanted a shower, I got a total of.... 4 minutes of hot water, afterwards? ICE COLD for the remainder of my 2 day stay.... just terrible. 4. Shower rod for the curtain... BROKEN! The shower curtain was essentially useless, water going everywhere during my 4 mins shower... complete disaster. 5. Breakfast.... ahhh yes, they claim they offer breakfast... hahaha what a joke. If breakfast means the option of coffee, a bagel or waffle, then that is what you're getting here. Never been to any hotel that did not offer eggs and sausage. To finalize, the worst hotel ever.

The only thing ok on this experience is that the staff was apologetic for what happened but not because they meant it , more or less because that is a customer service answer to give. My family and I came in after a long drive and were going to stay there for two nights for a family visit. We got there late and needed to sleep and that’s all got to do for one night and we checked out early due to state of room. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned well with stains on bedspread. The bathroom counters weren’t clean with like lipstick on them and the worst part and what sent us to check out early was feces on shower curtain which was obviously not cleaned. Not a good experience for us.
- 4/5
Was a nice, clean room. Was quiet at night. Convenient to a lot of restaurants, shopping, etc.
- 2/5
The shower did not consistently have warm water. Needed to request towels at main check-in. The staff decided to create loud noise emptying trash cans before 7am. Quite a few permanent residents living at the hotel which made getting breakfast interesting. Two of the three gym equipment did not work.
- 2/5
OK, place if you need a cheap hotel in the Lakewood area. I would not recommend if you have children. Also cannot seem to get the hot water to work in my room.
- 5/5
Just a clean pleasant place to stay a little bit off the beaten path. I especially like the architecture and design of LaQuinta, it is not just rectangular, it has some interesting angles and artistic touches.

I was there for 12 days. And not once at any time was there hot water that came out of the shower. Not early in the morning, not midmorning, not afternoon, not late afternoon, not early evening, not evening, not late night. Again, it came out of the sink. Never the shower.

Good value. Below average breakfast in terms of choices, but otherwise very nice.
- 2/5
There were a number of issues during our 3 day stay. We had hot water only 1 of the days we were there, the front desk staff was not helpful and always on their phones. We had to get new keys 2 of the 3 days as they didn't work. The fitness center had 3 items in it, bike, elliptical and treadmill, only 1 worked and there were no weights. The front entry and elevator floors had the same dirty spills from the day we arrived to the day we left. The curtains in my room were torn and very unappealing. The only good things, the bed was comfortable and there was ample parking. Will not stay here again.
- 5/5
Great value, clean and comfortable beds! More than what I expected. The bike in the fitness center doesn’t work was the only thing I noticed.

The first room we were given was not made up. All the linens were just stacked on a chair and we weren’t sure if they were dirty or clean. The second room we went to looked clean, but I had a smell to the room and the loveseat within the room looks to be dirty. Also, in the room next to us, we have to deal with noise all night, and I don’t believe staff addressed it so we didn’t get a very good nights sleep.
- 5/5
The room was clean and spotless. Had a little issue with our TV. The front desk came and fixed it immediately. It was noisy in the room above us at 11. We called the main desk. He went up and they got immediately quiet. Great stay

This hotel is for the cost conscience. Decore is well used, cleaning was minimalist (bathroom floors and doors could use mopping) and breakfast met the definition, but nothing that made me want to come back. It is a hotel and they will meet your minimum expectations.

It was clean and people were polite
- 2/5
Tables were dirty and limited food.
- 5/5
Room Clean, Staff very firendly
- 5/5
Clean and well appointed room. Check in was easy and the breakfast was okay. Would stay again and very great value!
- 1/5
This La Quinta needs some love. Breakfast staff is great, but with limited choices for foods. Waffle station is nice. Yogurt is nice. Always hard boiled eggs. Ended up leaving early due rash from the bedding and chemicals used to clean bedding. Sensitive skin folks beware! Room door needed repair and was very hard to open. Needs lots of repairs in my opinion. Over the years, I have stayed here often, but due to above issues, I have made other hotel reservations.
- 5/5
Great customer service, nice clean room, good prices.
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 3/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
They need handicap parking
- 4/5
Nice quiet room. AC worked well. shower was nice and comfortable temperature
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was mediocre, coffee weak. Room was a great size and clean! Mattresses were a little saggy but doable. Biggest plus for me was the awesome Black Friday/cyber Monday deal I got, the location and my fur baby was welcome for free! If she can’t go/dtay, I don’t go/stay!
- 5/5
All the good things which make a stay comfortable, but I especially like the design of the motel outside and in. Very much personal preference
- 5/5
All was good except loud guests walking through the hallway at 2:30 am. I guess the walls/doors are paper thin or the people were really loud.
- 5/5
Fired good staff room was great hallway was perfect room was clean
- 5/5
Great room and experience
- 5/5
Everything was as always and fine.
- 2/5
No hot water in my shower both days I stayed.
- 4/5
Good location. Friendly
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, and spacious room with in room coffee and refrigerator. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
- 3/5
Staff was great and friendly. However, the beds are hard and the pillows are super smushy. I barely slept the 2 days I was there.
- 5/5
Very clean, great staff, the coffee is great, the heater is kinda loud
- 1/5
My trailer got stolen right from th parking lot. Security cameras are broken. Be weary.
- 3/5
Service was good. Room was okay.
- 5/5
Daniel at the front desk was verybhelpful
- 5/5
nice clean verry good
- 4/5
Great place overall, kind staff, clean room, well-kept location. The only thing that was a bit worrisome was the elevator. Kinda terrifying, but I had a great stay.
- 4/5
Room and staff were good. Annoying are people who leave their dogs alone in their room - barking, yapping and scratching at the doors.
- 5/5
Staff friendly. Rooms clean. Elevator.
- 3/5
Noicy
- 5/5
Love the large rooms
- 3/5
Room 109 had great difficulty generating warm/hot water. If the shower was on, there was NO hot water to be gotten out of the bathroom sink. Made it hard for my husband and I to freshen up when only one place or the other has hot water. Also, unless you ask, no one cleans the room. This was a little item they forgot to mention when we checked in so we were there 2 nites before we asked the front desk why no one had cleaned our room yet. This is when we were told about their policy. Final item was not have extra toilet paper or coffee/set ups in the room. We had to go ask for that also. On a good note, the bed was great.
- 5/5
great staff!! nice spacious room
- 5/5
We always enjoy our stay there, it’s very convenient and close to our children.
- 5/5
We enjoy staying at this La Quinta when in Denver. It is in a quiet, clean area that is close to shopping and main highways. The rooms are large and the breakfast and coffee are good.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable and good breakfast
- 2/5
Did not use gym or pool too cold.
- 1/5
The first night my kids wanted to go down to the lobby to buy snacks and we walk down to police officers trying to get a homeless woman to leave the lobby. The back door to the hotel was propped open with a rock all night long both nights we stayed there - unsafe! The breakfast was lacking options. Would not stay here again and would not recommend.
- 3/5
Lots of walking which means eneryg and way too much time to get settled.
- 5/5
Goof
- 2/5
This was by far the worst place i have ever stayed. We slept in the room the first night and then only used the room to store our belongings the remainder of our trip and couch surfed wifh local friends. The only positive was that the bed was VERY comfortable. This hotel definitely needs some maintenance and around the clock housekeeping for the common areas. I would not reccomend staying here.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff. Parking was easy.
- 5/5
It was pretty good. The staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Good stay. Staff helpful. Nice bed. Have stayed here a tota of 4 nights over two visits.
- 1/5
was unable to stay after paying for a room online. I did not stay and am attempting to get the money in a refund but not with much of luck
- 5/5
Very nice, spacious room. And I’ve never had a hotel room with as many electrical outlets spaced around the room. Both sides of the bed. Easy to charge our phones and tablet.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and reasonably priced , clean and close to all the shopping .
- 2/5
Towels stinked. Stopped looking into things after that because u get what u paid. I bundled everything so can’t exactly complain more than here but you get what you paid for so I get it
- 5/5
Amazing
- 4/5
A great place when we really needed a comfortable place to recharge halfway through a cross country move. Very welcoming and convenient for having my Golden retriever with me. There was always someone to ask if I had a question- and they were all super kind.
- 3/5
The carpet was really dirty in our room and down hall way. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful .. they were all great . I couldn’t tell you about the gym we didn’t use it . There was dogs in about every other room. There was a car in the parking lot that had make shift tents made across from windows to the road with everything they had piled all around no one asked them to leave ! The door at the end of hallway was never locked even at night, there was people coming in and outmost of the night … so it was very disturbing that the homeless were able to just walk into the hallways while your paying guest were sleeping !
- 4/5
The ice machine on my floor was not working.
- 1/5
Very clean, nice rooms are too close to thin of walls. Can hear Nextdoor snoring or really loud noise. Constantly. I had to switch rooms because of the the people next to me.
- 4/5
Easy to find
- 4/5
Didn't use either laundry or gym. Room was fairly clean.
- 5/5
Great hotel, clean and comfortable!
- 4/5
Easy access to highway, good location, close to several restaurants. Staff was very friendly & helpful.
- 5/5
Gym was marginal, staff was every helpful and friendly
- 2/5
We were very disappointed with La Quinta. We had issues with towels, with desk help not getting back to us, but above all we stayed for 5 nights, and asked several times for our rooms to be put on housekeepings list to clean, and it never happened. Not once.
- 3/5
Room was not cleaned after following hotel guidelines for requesting it in advance. (24 hours).
- 4/5
The room wad good, but steppingout into the hallway the smell of marijuana was so strong.
- 4/5
Need more cups in rooms.
- 4/5
The one negative with the room was that the fitted bottom sheet wasn’t deep enough at the corners of the mattress. They need to buy fitted sheets with deep enough corner pockets for the sheet to properly fit that king bed mattress. I had to keep tugging on the sheet corners each night to reset the sheet on the mattress corners.
- 3/5
The front desk clerk ReGena was so kind and helpful. Motel needed to be updated a little worn out! Roberto was so nice and my room was clean.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay. Hotel excellent for the value
- 4/5
Great.
- 2/5
1st room smelled like cigarette smoke and had cigarette burns in the carpet. 2nd room was cleaner, but I found a big S*&t stain on the pad under the sheets. Better options nearby.
- 5/5
This is a pleasant place, nice personnel and tucked away from noise and traffic
- 3/5
Room was dirty.
- 5/5
Clean room. Helpful staff. I will come back. Good price.
- 1/5
There was bed bugs in our beds!
- 2/5
Customer Room door locks did not work. I repeatedly had to visit front desk to get new key card. 3 times in two night visit.
- 5/5
Really nice dog friendly hotel. Both desk clerks came out and welcomed our dog. We had a convenient first floor room which is perfect because many dogs are really afraid of elevators. Breakfast was good. Only thing I wished they had was a fenced in area. Our dog does not poop well on a leash and in a strange location he is not safe without a leash. This causes frustration on all levels. Also happy that we are not charged a dog fee. They do put a $100 hold on our credit card, which is quickly released because our dog is well behaved. Other hotels charge from $20-100 just to have your dog in your room. Those fees are non refundable .We will stay at a La Quinta hotel in the future.
- 5/5
The stay was very nice. Check in was very easy. We are both mobility challenged so our room was an access room right off the elevator. Very quiet and clean.
- 1/5
Stay away from this hotel. We had to leave at 430am in the morning due to getting bit by bed bugs!
- 5/5
Outdated hotel but it was very clean. If you don’t have a dog I suggest floors 3 & up. Mattress needs to be replaced for sure
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 4/5
It’s good hotel
- 3/5
Arrived at about 1:30. Asked if i coukd check in early. Was told the systems were down and they could not check anyone in. Sat in my car for and gour and still could not get checked in along with other waiting customers. Finally got checked in and the rooms were nkt very clean. Smelled of mold and smoke and there was cigarette ashes on the ac unit.
- 4/5
Room door did not locked ..
- 3/5
I’m glad our pup could stay with us, but she was probably affected by the smell of forbidden products like we were. The odd-numbered rooms have tremendous highway noise. Ok for the price.
- 3/5
While the room was clean, the the chair in the room had collapsed and the door to get into the room was faulty. The staff we interacted with was friendly and while it was nice to have breakfast included, it was incredibly lacking with no hot protein options.
- 3/5
Smelled old
- 5/5
.very good as long as your room did not face the higheay
- 3/5
Doors to the outside around back of hotel were left unlock all night. Little security.

- 3/5
This hotel was what I expected after reading the reviews. It is an older hotel in much need of renovation and updating. Carpets were dirty, but only so much can be done for old carpeting. Bathroom was clean and bed comfortable. Staff was friendly.
- 3/5
Price and convenience to Red Rocks.
- 3/5
It was a great spot centrally located. My only issue was I had to change rooms, and forgot a two tops in my old room. Sadly they disappeared and were not found, which was very disappointing as they didn't just get up and walk away themselves.
- 3/5
There wasnt any hot food for breakfast.
- 5/5
The only thing that was annoying was that the card keys were unreliable. I had to go to the desk 2x to get a new key. Other then that it was a great places to stay at. Clean pool with towels stocked. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The perfect stay. Close to food places and gas stations.
- 4/5
The room was clean. But had full beds instead of queens! Been a long time since I slept in a full! Breakfast area was very comfortable and had typical carb breakfast choices. Got double charged for my room but clerk said it would be taken off.
- 4/5
My second stay in just over a month. I like the hotel close to food
- 2/5
we were on top floor and the ac didn’t work in the room. elevator is very old and slow and feels unsafe
- 1/5
not stay here or make this reservation
- 4/5
Did accommodate an extra one hour leave time. But the pool!!!!!
- 5/5
This LaQuinta is a good value. The decor is dated but everything is clean and functional. If you're older, it's not dated, LoL. Good coffee and breakfast. Have rebooked and experience is the same. Overall best value in Lakewood Colorado.
- 5/5
We went on a trip with our dogs, and this hotel is very pet friendly. A small deposit but it was worth it to bring our pups along. Many other guests had dogs as well, and it was still pretty quiet (except when my dog barked in the room. Haha). The continental breakfast was pretty standard, but sadly I didn’t see any breakfast meats (bacon/sausage). There were boiled eggs, a clean waffle maker, good hot coffee, bagels and muffins. The bathtub in my room was why I knocked a point down because it was REALLY worse for the wear, and definitely needed a good repaint or even a whole new bathtub. But the room was clean, and the ac worked great. The front staff was VERY nice and pleasant. The grounds were clean and the area was quiet, despite being near a busy road. We all had a very relaxing time. If you’re traveling with your pups, I recommend this place.
- 5/5
It was good but there was a smell
- 1/5
Front desk wouldn't let me extended my stay because my smoke alarm wasn't working.
- 3/5
This hotel would be fine if they actually cleaned it properly. There's splats and crustyness all over. Desperately needs to close for a couple of weeks for a deep cleaning and a coat of paint.
- 3/5
Room was nice and comfortable but I didn't feel safe there. It appeared to be a hotel that was housing young people trying to transition into permanent housing. This is commendable but there was a lot of hanging out in the parking lot which made me uncomfortable at night and I was worried about my car. Also the back door was broken so anyone could walk in and I didn't see any security in the 3 nights I stayed.
- 1/5
The whole first floor smelled of dog urine. The back door to get in said it was locked 24/7 but was unlocked 24/7 instead. My key never worked to get into my room so every time I needed to get back to my room I needed a new key. Breakfast was offered but it was very limited with yogurt and toast. My tub in my room had hair in the drain and scattered throughout the bathroom.
- 5/5
Interior was updated and plenty of seating for breakfast, bed was comfy
- 4/5
Convenient. Friendly staff. Clean pool. Door handles need updated. Room smelled like dog. Lots of dog poop on grounds.
- 5/5
The service was warm and welcoming. Our room was clean. We travel with our Staffordshire Terrier our room was comfortable for humans and big dog. The linens were soft and comfortable. We love our stay.
- 1/5
Dirty, leaking toilets and sinks. Horrible breakfast
- 5/5
The only issue was our room was bot picked up or refreshed the entire stay
- 5/5
Stay was great! First time in Lakewood area, very convenient area for shopping and great places to eat. Will stay in La Quinta Lakewood again!
- 3/5
It seemed like people lived on the property almost like a apartment
- 3/5
Noise level high. Difficulty with key card entry. Worst thing was toilet not flushing properly. Property generally showing its age.
- 5/5
The bed was comfy the TV was excellent and it was very clean
- 3/5
"Locked" exterior doors aren't always locked. Ownership should improve the aesthetics by repairing, painting, and cleaning the property. The elevator looks and smells like it came from an inner city housing facility. Hope this is helpful.
- 2/5
My first room smelled like smoke. The second wasn’t much better. Both rooms are in need of an upgrade.
- 3/5
People can’t even say good morning to you in the hallway… Kindness is free… I recommend some 👌
- 3/5
The bed and pillows smelled..
- 4/5
Distance from facility we played at and food places was great. Staff was very nice and easy to work with.
- 4/5
My only real complaint was the tv. Twice there was no signal.when the cable was working, the volume control didn't work and was stuck on a rather high volume. Property was a bit older and run down, but not dirty. Staff was 😃
- 5/5
No fan in bathroom.
- 3/5
Stayed 2 nights. Had to have the room key reset 5 times. There are better key systems. Staff tried their best, but still...I'll probably go to the next La Quinta down the road next time
- 4/5
Comfortable
- 4/5
The door handle wasn't working properly. Besides that it was really good.
- 5/5
Because this property allows dogs, some guests forget they are not at home and do not pick up after their animals.
- 5/5
Kimbery was one of my favorite part of my stay. She is extremely good at her job. She treated us like we were the only ones checking in. She displayed a true interest in our visit to Colorado and suggested a few things for us to Check Out. I also observed her interaction with other hotel guests and was equally as genuine to them. I looked forward to seeing her everyday I was there. She always welcomed me back to the hotel and even noticed a new t-shirt I bought for a souvenir. She represents quality hospitality at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham/DenverSouthwest Lakewood. I will definitely stay at this Hotel in the future. From one Happy Texan.
- 3/5
Decent spot to catch your breath & get a hot shower while traveling.
- 1/5
This was an extremely inconvenience of a stay. I had to have my key card changed twice as it quit working in the time period of 24 hours. The floors in the room were dirty and made me not want to walk around barefoot. There were loud guests, teenagers running up and down hallways past 10:30pm, and only one lady working in the hotel. Overall, I did not feel safe at this location, there were people camping out in the parking lots who clearly did not appear to be guests of the hotel. I had to cancel my four night stay after evening one. Praying this hotel gets this figured out for future guests.
- 5/5
Breakfast was ample. I wish the eating area was larger.
- 3/5
The toilet didn't work right. The bath shower was slippery.
- 5/5
Great distance from Red Rocks after a show!
- 1/5
When we first entered our room, we noticed the trash had not been taken out. Next, we saw that the AC was set at 63 degrees, which we thought was odd because of how warm it was in the room. That is when we noticed that the window was WIDE open. On the 4th floor. Imagine if a child would've have been present, wanted to open the blind to look out the window, and fell. When we went to bed the first night, we noticed a few bugs in the bed. Thankfully they were not bed bugs and we attributed this to the window being open for who knows how long. The shower head leaked from the top and the toilet flushed properly maybe once. After that, we resorted to using the lobby bathroom. That toilet also appeared to be malfunctioning. On one occasion, I noticed that the only toilet paper roll in the stall was soaking wet with who knows what. The next day, I went to try the stall again. Not only had the roll been ripped up and thrown on the ground, but no replacements had been filled. This is +24 hours later. The card reader on our door never worked properly. I don't think we ever opened the door on the first try. We always got green lights but the door would not unlock. It usually took us about 5 tries to enter our room. Lastly, the bathroom doors. Such an odd choice. When closed, there is a large gap in between the doors. I'm married
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
No phone. TV not working properly. Trash under bed and behind recliner
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, nice secluded pool. Easy access to Golden, Littleton, Lakewood and Denver.
- 4/5
Our stay here was nice. We had breakfast 2/3 days, on Saturday we missed it as we were unsure when the hours were for breakfast. Hotel was pretty clean and quiet. The place could definitely use a few updates, our door handle was wonky. I did feel like the elevator was a bit concerning, it would do this little hop as you got on. This hotel was absolutely fine for what we wanted it for, a place to sleep.
- 1/5
Dirty hotel. Needs updated. No choice on breakfast but bagels and waffles. Druggies and homeless all over.
- 5/5
People were really nice and helpful
- 5/5
Spacious, quiet, comfortable
- 5/5
Great service.
- 2/5
Smelled of smoked. Very ran down and not taken care of. Dirty room. Dirty sheets.
- 5/5
Staff, room, utilities, food, and leisure was all quite nice.
- 4/5
The room and bathroom were clean. We stayed three nights and did not get our room cleaned or towels replaced without asking. breakfast was OK. Good night
- 4/5
This property was great for the money. Staff was very friendly and courteous.
- 2/5
The hotel was so dirty I couldn’t even walk on the rug without my socks or shoes
- 4/5
Easy check in, clean facility, comfortable bed, close to Red Rocks! Continental breakfast was the usual- served early enough so we could get an early start on the rest of our trip.
- 5/5
Clean nice staff. Everything as described
- 5/5
15 minutes from Red Rocks for the concert. Nice and quiet and clean.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
- 3/5
The sink wouldn’t drain, the shower water wouldn’t stay the same temperature, a police officer had to remove the woman across the hall from us and there were homeless people hanging around the parking lot. The staff was nice and the cleaning ladies were nice and funny and the pool was good. But in all, i will not stay here again.
- 5/5
Night clerk was awesome Howie long says thanks
- 5/5
Second time I’ve stayed here. Highly recommend it. Helpful staff, convenient location, quiet. Will stay here again when I’m in the Denver area
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 2/5
Pros- Bed was comfy (this is a big deal) Water was hot Wifi worked well Cons- Carpet, among other things, was way past prime Volume control on the TV didnt work "Breakfast" is a token gesture so they can click a box saying they have it Theres a pool, but no jacuzzi (would have been nice at the end of a long day. Looks like there used to be one that got filled in) Ironing board had been used for other things at some point and was now basically unusable. So, if you need a box with a bed for the night in this exact area, here you go. If you are concerned your spouse will look at it and question your relationship, look further.
