Great hotel. Always enjoy staying there
- 4/5
Both nights I was there private parties rented the bar. Difficult to get drinks for guests.
- 3/5
Breakfast was terrible. Bagel was thin and grease soaked. They did not even offer a free cup of coffee in the morning. It had to come out of the $10 token given for breakfast. Lobby was often packed with people in the evening for special events so you couldn’t get a drink at the bar if you wanted one. The complementary ride was never available. You had to get a Lyft ride. The resort daily fee was charged but I never got to use it - just was charged extra money for hardly nothing but that $10 breakfast token. I’ve stayed here before but it was much better! The bathroom sink took very long to drain. My room was noisy. I was located near elevators and heard lots of clanging in the predawn hours.
- 4/5
The front desk women were extremely helpful with sunny dispositions. Great location, lots of restaurants/bars within walking distance Or hop on the free bus service to venture a little further away. The only issue I have is that I was over charged $84, I called & spoke to a nice front desk person who said they would investigate & get back to me, it’s now been 2 weeks with no word. Now I’ll have to go through the hassle of pursuing this.Due to this we will not be staying there again.
- 4/5
Conveniently located in a beautiful historic building. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful appearances, the 4 star experience just fell a little short of what we expected for a 4 star hotel. There were moments of delight such as our bags already being brought up to our room before we checked in later, but other things also fell short. For example, the AC in the room was not working properly so the staff had brought in a fan. On the next day as we were checking out, one of the staff at the concierge was not the friendliest, and her communications in regards to any outstanding charges were unclear and lacked transparency, which made things really confusing. There was also no one to help with orders when it came to that morning's breakfast. Overall, the hotel fell short of our expectations and we will not be returning.

Superb
- 4/5
Great location! Neat old hotel. It is getting a bit more rundown than it was a few years back, but still nice and good value. Friendly staff, and cool atmosphere.
- 1/5
Do not waste your money at this hotel. The pictures are a deceptively good, this hotel looks nothing like it’s advertised! The rooms are outdated, even the expensive upgrade that we had was subpar! The AC seemed to be out in the entire hotel, its was uncomfortably warm. We were offered a portable AC which was a nice gesture but there was nothing luxurious about the hotel itself and for all the money we spent on the so called suite with the French doors we had no view! Downtown is a beautiful place at night but all we could see were the smoke stacks and AC units on top of the building next to us. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again! If your planning on spending $500+ on a room anyway then do yourself a favor and go to the Four Seasons hotel across the street!

Clean, safe, great location next to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Nothing
- 5/5
Great location in downtown Denver. The staff was very helpful with local recommendations. We took the bikes out and had fun on Cherry Creek Trail.

- 5/5
Top notch staff! Worth every penny!
- 5/5
Very very clean! Great location in downtown. Staff was very kind. The valet was amazing!! He even walked to my vehicle to get something I had forgotten.
- 4/5
Old but charming hotel close to Convention Center. A room with a balcony was a plus
- 4/5
Nice property in a good area. Staff was amazing.

- 5/5
Love staying here
- 5/5
This was a great hotel. Great location, great rooms, great service. Will book again.
- 5/5
Great boutique hotel, big rooms, highly attentive staff, food/drink $10 tokens per day, private car service. My new spot.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. The only issue was we never saw either one of the restaurants in the lobby open while we were there so we never try them.
- 5/5
Love this hotel! We stay here every time when in Denver. Great location and the staff so helpful.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and the room was spacious. Stayed on the 7th floor. The sunrise was beautiful. They have breakfast tokens which works great for a coffee and bagel or croissant. They also have free rides within ~5 mile radius.
- 4/5
the daily breakfast token was a nice touch. good lattes! comfy room and luxurious bathroom. when during sudden cold spell heat in room didnt work, requested space heater (provided while I was out) turned out also defective. not enough umbrellas during rain, never managed to borrow one.
- 4/5
Room was clean, very friendly staff. Good food.
- 5/5
Peaceful stay
- 5/5
Great place great service
- 5/5
We had a terrific three nights stay at Hotel Teatro. Conveniently located across the street from the Four Seasons Hotel, this was a welcome break away from the intensity of the conference that we were attending. Teatro felt like a lovely but more low-key home away from home. The two common areas, the Nickel restaurant and then the breakfast/lobby area had plenty of seating and were never crowded. Our corner double room was bright and spacious. The plumbing was a bit older in the bathrooms, but all clean and well functioning. Delicious and reasonably priced breakfasts.

Loved the character of the hotel! The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room was very comfy and well appointed. I would definitely come back!
- 3/5
Our room was very small, cramped, but clean with nice amenities. Our room was also by the elevator, so it was noisy at times. Not worth the price in our opinion.
- 5/5
Excellent location walking distance to everything you could want and conveniently located near a parking garage to save the cost of valet parking. The hotel smelled good, had an on-site resturant and coffee shop they give you daily credit for. The property is beautiful and the staff are really friendly.

I don't like hidden fees and I wish they were upfront about it because then I would've used what we were forced to pay for
- 5/5
This hotel is amazing! The management went above and beyond to manage our reservation and assist us when we had an emergency! I would always return!
- 2/5
Very disappointed in the customer service.

Very good

Staff were amazing. Coffee station was perfect.

I love this hotel. One of my favorites in the city.

Wonder, classy stay at the Hotel Teatro. From the valet service, to reception and dining, everything was 5-star. Very clean and quiet rooms. Highly recommended for a stay in Denver. Great location between Capital Hill and Union Station.
- 4/5
Great place to stay in Denver! Breakfast/coffee and location all great. Bed comfortable too.
- 5/5
hotel was beautiful and perfectly maintained. Staff was outstanding. Free rides were unprecedented. Everything was great.
- 5/5
Service, food, location, the room itself, and the free Wi-Fi were all exceptional. Shower ran low on hot water a couple times during my stay.

Natalie at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great and the room was lovely. The restaurant closed a bit early on a Saturday night, but we enjoyed our stay very much.
- 5/5
Very clean and spacious room. Staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
I loved the elegant gracious architecture. I enjoyed the people at the desk.. They were so quick and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The room felt grand with its twenty foot ceiling. We had a room with a balcony. That was fun looking out over the city. We couldn't tip the Valet. The tipping app for the valet was in repair. Other than that, I wish we spent some more time taking advantage of the amenities. We only stayed one night. In the future we will go for a longer stay.

Great friendly staff.. walking distance to most locations.. they even offer complimentary rides within local distance...i would stay there again..
- 5/5
Great hotel. Wonderful staff. Convenience located
- 4/5
Shower stall was uncomfortably small.
- 5/5
We stay here often due to its proximity to Ball Arena. The staff is super friendly and helpful and we often get upgraded so the room is plenty big. Love the welcome drink and we always split the 2 egg, bacon, potatoes and toast breakfast because it's way too much food and is cheap when you apply the $10 credit they give you. Definitely recommend Hotel Teatro.
- 5/5
The young man working there was overwhelmed with the number who needed breakfast--he needs some help! My breakfast was delicious!
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful and was able to accommodate our early arrival! The cafe offers delicious breakfast and coffee for early risers. Located in close distance to most key things to see in Denver!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. $10 discount for very pleasant breakfast. great location - ten minute walk to Ball Arena and convenient to free bus up and down 16th. our second floor windows had frosted glass so no view outside. (would request higher floor next time even though only slept in the room. )

Noisy room (next to an outdoor exhaust or something) with no temperature control

I absolutely loved the historic building. The staff was fantastic and the location was perfect for walking.

Excellent food & beverage. Major thermostat malfunction in ournroom
- 5/5
We enjoyed the classic ambience of the building. The staff was equally classy. Thank you!
- 5/5
Nice room and very clean.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, dining and lounge area. EX EXCELLENT STAFF
- 5/5
I didn’t go in the pool but next time
- 5/5
Very friendly reception at check-in.
- 4/5
Although we had problems with the room the fact that the staff was so helpful they rescued our stay.
- 2/5
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. The room was quite small and did not match the photos shown online. I requested housekeeping for two days by placing the sign on the door, but no one came to clean the room. In addition, the complimentary $5 nickel could only be used once per order, which felt quite limited. Considering the price (and the additional resort fee), the overall value for money is quite low.
- 5/5
Lovely environment! Great location. Amazing hotel and bar staff.
- 5/5
Accessible room was amazing- thought of so many details for someone who is wheelchair bound or with movement restrictions. Harder to use the tokens than expected. Staff were wonderful. Beautiful spaces.
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
5 stars for everything except the bathroom. The lighting is HORRIBLE. There is no regular shower head. The default shower head is a rainfall shower head. You have to reach through the water to adjust the temp/turn on and off so it is impossible not to get your hair wet. If you want to use the handheld attachment instead, the water sprays through a gap in the shower door and water covers the bathroom floor. It's an extremely poor design.
- 5/5
A great place to stay!
- 5/5
We absolutely loved this fabulous boutique hotel which is perfectly located in the theatre district and close to all the exceptional high end steakhouses. We were however disappointed when we returned home after a night at the theatre and their bar was closed. It closed at 10:00pm. It would have been so nice to have a cocktail/drink after the show.
- 4/5
Valet was amazing! Loved location of this property. Restaurants at property are nice and convenient. Our room was clean and bed was comfortable. Our view was poor from our room-which was the roof and vent system and a wall, but we were not staying for the view and I am sure other rooms had great views. Very walkable area- to the theater and 16th street mall no problem at all. Lots of things to do in walking area.
- 5/5
Easy valet for parking, great location for top restaurants on larimer sq
- 1/5
this hotel scams you with extra false charges after check out, I am not a smoker and they charged me $500 dollars for "smoking in the room". And refused to return the charge after I explained that I am not a smoker. No evidence was provided because there was none. I travel often and I can confidently say this was one of my worst hotel experiences
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and helpful. Super neat old building.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
The property was centrally located
- 5/5
The Hotel was great and the staff was friendly! The hotel was centrally located to downtown!
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Clean room dog friendly very central to Ball arena. Great location scooters everywhere to get around to local shops bars and food would sta again !
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, lots to do nearby, very comfortable beds, and great amenities. I found the uber/car within 2 miles to be very helpful!
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel. Great rooms. Awesome staff. Delicious food and free drink at happy hour.
- 5/5
This is. A special Hotel with a lot of warmth and character. The staff and the service is awesome. The rooms and the lobby are really nice. You just feel well in this Hotel ! Not one of these ghostlike chain Hotels!
- 5/5
Loved my stay for a work trip downtown.. had everything I needed.. great clean room, great espresso and quick breakfast in the lobby - can’t forget the amazing staff. Thank you !
- 3/5
There was no water in the morning due to boiler maintenance so no showers, no flushing toilets!! They should not have booked guests that day
- 5/5
Close to everything, great amenities
- 3/5
Great downtown location. Rooms are spacious. However, tech and decor should be updated. No way to stream to TV and tile in bathroom was very worn. Would also be nice to have free water in rooms and better cream for coffee instead of powder creamer. Parking is valet only. There is a lot across the street that is clean and much cheaper overnight. However if you need re-entry may be best to valet. Love this hotel though. Definitely would book again.
- 5/5
Very friendly & helpful staff.
- 5/5
The room was super clean, and even had a cool city rooftop view. All the staff were super helpful and didn’t make you feel ignorant when you asked a question. We loved the Bloody Marys at the Nickel bar, and the sourdough toast was delish.
- 5/5
Our corner king room was spacious and clean! We have stayed at this hotel many times for events. Location is extremely convenient.
- 3/5
The hotel itself was OK, but I've had better value in other downtown Denver hotels. Nothing special about this. What was negative was the constant effort to sell you more, three emails offering discounted 'upgrades' and a broken in room coffee machine. The proposed fix for this was a $6 $ coffee in the lobby, which I unhappily paid for. Overall, I advise you choose other better options.
- 4/5
The hotel was beautiful and very fun! The only downfall for us was that the air conditioning didn’t seem to work very well.
- 5/5
Friendly and professional staff.
- 5/5
Everything at Hotel Teatro was more than we expected! The staff, the room, and the service we received was 5 stars. This was such a cute gem in Downtown Denver that will certainly see us in the future again!
- 4/5
Staff was very nice and helpful. Loved the lobby / cafe space and the breakfast was great. Really close to UC Denver. Only wish the daily parking rate wasn't $67. Seemed excessive.
- 5/5
Great hospitality, we had access to a car to drop us off anywhere within 2 miles if needed. You get a $10 credit towards their coffee shop.
- 1/5
The carpet appeared overdue for replacement, the curtains had noticeable stains, and the bathroom plumbing continued to run. However, the staff at the reception desk were warm which was genuinely appreciated.
- 5/5
Fantastic room. Fantastic staff
- 5/5
The room was very nice size. A cozy eclectic place to stay close to the theater. The staff was outstanding and accommodating.
- 5/5
Room was awesome , Resteraunt and staff were excellent.
- 4/5
Clean, very nice staff! Rooms were clean and had a home feel to them.
- 5/5
The Nickel restaurant. No one ever on there
- 5/5
Nice little coffee shop downstairs.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms
- 4/5
Soft bed and nice size bathroom.
- 2/5
Shower was only Luke warm, never got hot I advised front desk after first night but they didn’t fix the issues.
- 4/5
In addition, the new food/restaurant format is confusing and the Nickel restaurant selections aren't nearly as good as before. The valet service was also very behind at check in, and check out. The food was good, however. Jist confused as to why all the changes as it was great before.
- 5/5
Staff and amenities were superb!
- 5/5
yes
- 1/5
Room wasn't ready, and when it was (later in the day around 6pm) the heating system was out in the hotel - they didn't tell us, and we got to freeze for 2 nights.
- 1/5
I did not have many options to move or change hotels…. However a hotel in Denver , CO should have a finctioning heating system
- 5/5
The stay was great. The staff was friendly, the room was very clean and spacious, and the price was reasonable. Cant wait to stay again.
- 5/5
Everything happened seemlessly
- 4/5
Why did I get an Expedia charge of 34.73 upon check out when in making the reservation all charges were listed upfront and it did not include that Expedia charge???
- 4/5
Cool building. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Such nice and helpful staff!!! Comfortable and spacious room. Clean and beautiful asthetic!
- 5/5
Great people, great stay. My new go to in downtown denver
- 5/5
Easy valet parking, friendly staff. Excellent value walking distance to great restaurants and shopping
- 5/5
Heat did not work the day we checked-in. They didn’t have any available rooms to move us to, but they gave a space heater which heated the room nicely and they moved us the next day. And gave us a discount on the accommodations for the trouble. The staff was very nice and accommodating and went out of their way to make things right.
- 5/5
This was a really special hotel stay. Beautiful historic hotel with so much charm. One bed suite was exceptional.
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel, we had excellent service, the room was lovely and we enjoyed coffee in the library! Would come back!
- 5/5
Room and staff were great!
- 4/5
Staff service is very average, they just do what is necessary to keep their jobs. My big complain is the beds, pillows were fine but the mattresses were so uncomfortable, hard with a dip in the middle. We had very tough nights just because of the mattress.
- 5/5
Big room, quiet, amazing location, super clean, lovely amenities…can’t wait to return!!
- 5/5
Very nice. Staff was friendly and went above and beyond
- 5/5
Hotel and room was clean and well stocked. Staff was curtious and fantastic. Highly recommend Hotel Teatro!
- 4/5
Staff was extremely helpful throughout my entire stay; loved the amenities so much I had to purchase them. Plus free rides anywhere within 2 miles!
- 3/5
We had the unfortunate luck of drawing a floor 2 room with blocked out windows and no view. Of course the front desk asked at check in if we wanted to pay for an upgrade, but that kind of struck me as an odd offer. Having stayed at the Teatro 15-20 times over the last two years, and knowing the climate in Downtown Denver, I am surprised an upgrade wasn't offered as complimentary. Not really a great way to win over guests to repeat coming back, and certainly didn't meet our expectations. Not to mention, the room was located right next to their HVAC system that buzzed loudly all night. Valet staff is the one of the best in Denver though - so hats off to them, as well as the morning barista.
- 5/5
Attentive service, above-and-beyond amenities, and clean rooms in a beautiful historic building. Add to that: dog-friendly, complimentary arrival drinks, and free breakfast burritos— we’ll definitely be staying here again!
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Very nice lobby and rooms.
- 5/5
Excellent downtown location with friendly staff and a great bar.
- 5/5
Very nice room with comfortable bed. Could use a full length mirror and a heater in the bathroom
- 5/5
Staff is amazing, room is beautiful, everything has
- 5/5
The staff were amazing and the room was clean
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice.
- 5/5

Nice people and facikity
- 5/5
Great hotel. Fantastic staff perfect location
- 5/5
Amazing staff!
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly! Breakfast burrito was good and the latte was very nice.
- 1/5
The front desk worker was helping someone else and next was my turn. Right when I was next, he looked at me and very rudely said “ I’ll be with you in just a minute holding up his finger “ The room was decent , environment was ok. Just not a good first impression. Second stay a week later, we arrived, we had to wait in a line , randomly the people behind us were served drinks (skipped over us and offered to them only ) and not offered anything to me and my girlfriend. The Gentleman who works in the front does not give a good first impression for the hotel, I am disappointed with the 2 days I was there. considering the cost and should be held to a higher standard. I’ve been to other hotels who treat their guest so much better than this. I can understand if it happened once but twice in a week span… The only good thing about this hotel was the valet service and workers who are part of the valet.
- 3/5
We always stay at Hotel Teatro when we go to Denver. We have for many years. This time felt different though. The staff was exceptionally nice. The service is always fantastic. But, the room was not great. The carpet on the floor was stained, the light switches had dirt and dust in them, and the walls were stating to fall apart (sagging drywall tape and looked like they could use a coat of paint). Not sure we’ll stay there next time. Heard it was under new ownership so ,albe they’ll do some much needed cleaning and maintenance.
- 5/5
Cute boutique hotel, great lobby, loved the morning burritos
- 5/5
Beautifully kept room, lovely menu and plates at Nickel and attentive front desk staff
- 4/5
You cannot beat the location.
- 5/5
The room was spotless, beautiful view of the mornings sunrise & mountains in the distance.
- 5/5
Parking nearby for under $30 a day. Great coffee. Beautiful rooms. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Valet parking was efficient and very polite!
- 5/5
Excellent stay all around. We enjoyed the amenities and live guitar singer Friday night. The Martello Family
- 5/5
I will definitely be staying here again, staff are very nice and helpful. The place is clean and decor is cozy and classy, the hotel has a car service that will take you where you need to go as long as it’s within 2 miles and pick you up which 2 miles doesn’t sound like a lot but trust me, I used it to my advantage. The only con I would say is my room didn’t have a microwave, not sure if all rooms are like that but I booked a Queen balcony room. However the staff was nice enough and offered for me to bring what I wanted heated up to the lobby and they would do it.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
It was ok place was really nice just could use a little more up keeping
- 5/5
Amazing room
- 5/5
Very nice and accommodating.
- 5/5
Staff great, accommodations great, clean, butler, and door man. Excellent service.
- 3/5
I'mcomforter liner
- 5/5
Excellent service , fine food and very clean….
- 5/5
Perfect all around
- 5/5
Staff was absolutely wonderful! As an older hotel, room was drafty the first night...a space heater helped.
- 3/5
Just had issue with half the linens were dirty or stained, and the room seemed a bit run down, staff were lovely. If there was more options for what you can order foodwise I would have gotten room service but the menu was so small I didn't feel like getting anything
- 1/5
Huge blood smear on our pillow. Usually such a thing would bring apologizes as well as amenities offered. We received a apology from the receptionist but nothing else done to make this nasty incident right
- 4/5
Beautiful lobby, it smells amazing!!! The only issue I had was our bathroom. The sink was cracked and it consistently was backed up with water.
- 5/5
Staff was very accomodating
- 5/5
This hotel was fabulous from the comfortable beds to courteous staff. It is one block from the opera house. And it has a coffee shop and restaurant as well.
- 5/5
The Teatro has always been one of my favorite places to stay while in Denver.
- 2/5
The staff was wonderful… But that can’t make up for poor policies. A luxury hotel that closes its restaurant for dinner on the weekend without even advising us in advance is not one I want to stay at again. and the mattress gave us backaches, which disappeared immediately back home in our own bed.Been going there for decades we used to be welcomed with special amenities and welcome back notes. No more. It’s sad.
- 5/5
Great boutique hotel
- 5/5
Phenomenal hotel and staff A+
- 5/5
I love this hotel, the manager and Natalie are terrific.
- 3/5
I paid more for a corner room, but i was facing a wall on one side
- 5/5
This place is wonderful. We enjoyed our stay
- 3/5
The room was perfect bed very comfortable. Morning shower water hot water came and went just 1st day. The front desk morning clerk and night clerk very rude. Vallet and the cleaning ladies were much nicer. For these hotels that cost so much a good hot breakfast should be included but of course you have to pay for it unless you want a store bought burrito that is microwaved. Great distance to everything so we loved that. Had to ask for a microwave again for as expensive as it is lower costing hotels you get more for your buck. Need to work on hospitality they talk to you like your dumb if not dressed a certain way. Just cause I don’t dress rich doesn’t mean I don’t have money. Everyone deserves the same respect.
- 4/5
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Loved the open study space and the luxury car service
- 5/5
Fantastic location. Wonderful staff. The room was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Will stay here again.
- 5/5
Very pleased with stay. Clean, safe, and close to everything.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Always enjoy our stay there
- 4/5
Everything was excellent- especially the staff. Only complaint is the matteras, it was soft and sunken in the middle- and the pillows weren’t great (soft, not supportive).
- 4/5
This is a 3.5/4 star Hotel. Not a lot of frills and was overpriced for what they offer. Overall a decent Hotel, but l would not stay here again unless the price was cheaper.
- 5/5
Very friendly, easy access to all the fun stuff around the area. Checked us in early. Great help with parking and getting our stuff and anything we needed. Awesome service. Room was very nice and clean.
- 5/5
Great bar/restaurant
- 4/5
i have very low standards
- 5/5
Excellent stay for a conference at the Denver convention center. We upgraded to the Chancellor suite which was an amazing, large room. Two bathrooms in suite was very handy since there were three of us. Heater did not work very well, but weather was mild so didn’t need it. I wished the fireplace would’ve turned on. Great stay, convenient to the convention center. Nice perk was the free luxury car service included with the hotel daily fees. Will definitely stay here again next time when we come to Denver.
- 3/5
We enjoyed the location and ambience, however the price was a bit high for the overall value.
- 5/5
It was a very nice boutique Hotel in a great area
- 5/5
Great location to Larimer Square, Pavilion Shops, Empower Field, Ball Arena, etc. 16th street is making a comeback, hopefully it sticks!
- 5/5
The service was excellent and if I ever come back to Denver, this is where I’ll stay!
- 2/5
I like the location however, the staff really
- 5/5
Service was excellent and questions were answered promptly !

My daughter and I stayed for a concert. We had a great time. The staff was lovely and the room was cute and clean. Highly recommend
- 5/5
Staff was fantastic and accommodating. Food was delicious! If I come back to Denver, I would return to Hotel Teatro.
- 4/5
I reserved a room with a balcony. Photos looked lovely. Paid extra for the balcony. It was basically a ledge that everyone on the floor could walk across. It was disappointing.
- 5/5
Location was why we picked it and that proved to be great as well.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Everyone was lovely. Restaurant in hotel is excellent.

Property was unique, older. We stayed on a Saturday night and was noisy.
- 5/5
One of my favorite places to stay in Denver
- 5/5
Off of the Theater District, this Little Gym had everything you needed for a weekend stay. We really enjoyed our stay here at this historical Boutique Hotel. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, answer any questions about the history of the property or make recommendations of nearby must sees and food. We would most certainly stay here again, and wished we would have booked a few extra nights at this
- 5/5
Our corner room was very spacious and so comfortable! We loved the staff from the front desk personnel to the servers in the restaurant. The valet parking was easy and we could walk to restaurants and shopping within a block or two. Very nice restaurant and bar areas. It's a beautiful old building which has been lovingly restored. Will stay there again on our next visit!
- 3/5
The best thing about the hotel was its restuarant The Nickel. Otherwise I would not recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
It was a regular clean hotel. The rooms were extremely generic and weirdly laid out, with a fridge that was barely cooler than room temperature. The "balcony" was a corridor that ran outside all the rooms on the floor, and overall, did not feel like an experience that was on the level with this cost. No breakfast, no included valet services, everything was piecemeal and felt like microtransactional. Shame considering it was a historic building.
- 5/5
The staff were extremely welcoming from the valet to reception. The hotel is in a good location. You can walk to local restaurants, bars and entertainment.
- 1/5
This place looks nice in the photos but it’s not clean or well kept. Dirty and old. Roach in the bathroom. Not worth the money. Room was hot and they had to bring in a fan. Did not keep it cool enough. They told us before we checked in that ppl prior to us complained about the hot room so why put us in it?? Then they said it was the only room available. But after me, a man came down and switched rooms so that was not true. Overall, bad experience. Coffee in lobby was best thing about it.
- 3/5
Lobby is misleading, the rooms and bathrooms are due for a much needed update. I’d choose another hotel in hindsight.
- 5/5
We loved the location - close to 16th street mall, convention center, and the valet provided rides to the History Museum & Marco's Coal Fire Pizza.
- 2/5
This is a beautiful historic hotel in downtown Denver and it was so close to everything. But, the bed was so horrible, it was a foam cushion on top of a box spring that sunk us down towards the headboard and we found a huge roach (1.5 inches) outside our room. Sorry, but we would not stay here again!!
- 4/5
All members of the staff were very helpful and courteous, we really appreciated the 24 hour valet service and the courtesy ride service that will take you to your destination within 2 miles of the hotel.
- 5/5
We spent a belated anniversary trip at Hotel Teatro, which in my opinon was a great deal for what we paid for. It was conveniently located in the theater / arts district and was about a 15 min walk to either the Denver Art Museum or Union Station / Dairy Block / Coors Field. The 16th Street Mall and Larimer Sq are only a couple of blocks away. It was a lovely way to get away for a couple of days and enjoy some art, great food and learn some of Denver's history to boot. The free drink upon arrival and breakfast the next morning was a nice touch. They were also kind enough to give us a bottle of prosecco to enjoy for our anniversary. We will definately stay there again!
- 5/5
Lovely hotel with excellent service. We had a corner room which was very large and very clean. Great reception staff and valets
- 5/5
It was nice
- 5/5
What a wonderful hotel in the theater district of Denver. We were upgraded to a suite which was excellent.
- 5/5
Great place Valet was excellent. Staff super nice and helpful. Great bar and restaurant. Excellent room
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
The service at the hotel felt old fashioned in the best way. Staff was friendly and accomodating, the way service should be. The hotel itself had old school luxury and charm and the entire experience felt special. Included amenities like a champagne glass on arrival and 24/7 coffee made it feel resort-likw. The location is very walkable to everything in downtown Denver. A great hotel experience overall!
- 5/5
It’s been a special hotel for my partner and I since our first date.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel , location is extremely convenient to all the spots. Fantastic coffee and work shop in lobby alongside restaurant.
- 5/5
Had such a an amazing experience staying here for the night. Everyone one of the employees that we came across were so friendly and kind!
- 5/5
Had the best stay.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the attention to the small things, the staff was great
- 5/5
Great hotel room very classy
- 3/5
Still didn’t help.
- 5/5
Blake went above and beyond. We had a great stay.
- 5/5
Study coffee & wine lounge off the lobby was great place to work or ease into day. Just blocks from Larimer Square and 16th St dining
- 2/5
Very old and run down. Air conditioning barely works and cleaning is lacking.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Nice lobby and bar to sit and have a drink. Had breakfast at Nickel and it was excellent
- 5/5
Our corner room was 2nd floor we were expecting city views
- 4/5
I like location, convenience and price. It’s not an awesome hotel but it fits the bill. The Nickel is a decent restaurant too.
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay. Walkedto
- 5/5
The food at The Nickel on-site restaurant was fantastic. As were the drinks at the bar! And the staff were wonderful as well. The only issue was hvac. Not sure if there was an issue or just the classic nature of the building, but our room had a small portable room ac. It did enough of a job that we didn’t bring it up. Great hotel otherwise.
- 4/5
Very good option in walkable area
- 5/5
We stay at this hotel every time we come to Denver for a concert. The staff is exceptional and it is very easy to walk or take the hotels car anywhere downtown.
- 4/5
shower was med warm water
- 5/5
The staff and amenities make this hotel exceptional. From check in to restaurant to valet to maid service. Every day in every way, a staff that always went the extra mile to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable. Kudos and many thanks to each person we encountered at Hotel Teatro!
- 2/5
The hotel was able to relocate us to a different room the next day. This time around, the bathroom sink and the shower had hot water, shower heads worked properly, and slippers were available in the closet. Unfortunately, next day morning we found a large cockroach on the bathroom counter. Hotel staffs were professional, courteous and helpful. It is regrettable that the hotel’s poor conditions made their jobs unnecessarily difficult and challenging.
- 3/5
Plumbing needed attention in every way - toilet, sink and shower. Shampoo and body wash dispensers not funcional. Flat, room temp Prosecco offered as greeting drink. Downgraded to queen bed on arrival. Building is very nice, though. Won't be back.
- 3/5
Good location, front desk staff was just ok, they mostly chatted to each other, doorman were very friendly. Stayed sun-wed, wine bar never opened, but I guess I should have checked the hours, bar had limited service most of the stay. Overall the hotel lacked places to hangout, so I should have done better research.
- 2/5
Renovations needed horribly!
- 5/5
accommodating.
- 5/5
Be advised, the restaurant serves breakfast and its a lot of food! Good if you’re a big eater!
- 3/5
Property itself is nice enough, but our room wasn't great. It could use some upgrades. They do shuttle you within 2 miles of the hotel which was a good perk.
- 5/5
Denver is a very trendy city and Hotel Teatro is in the center of that vibe. The staff was very helpful with getting around. So many modern facilities within .4 miles. The river walk was great!!!!
- 5/5
Excellent room. Plenty of space. Comfortable bed. Car service was great for short trips (less than 2miles). Orange juice and breakfast burrito was a nice touch
- 4/5
Overall, a very nice couple of nights at the Teatro. Very nice hotel with excellent service, but a bit tired. Coffee and breakfast burrito were included which was appreciated.
- 3/5
I’ve stayed here before, don’t know if I will return. The staff at the front desk, valet, and housekeeping are excellent! We ate dinner at the bar in The Nickel and felt rushed and our corn beignets were not fully cooked. The food seemed a bit overpriced, but it’s a hotel. The “complimentary” prosecco, breakfast burritos, and coffee in the lobby seem like great amenities until you realize all of the charges. The transportation amenity is very nice. The $64 daily valet and $30 daily “resort” charges add almost $100/day to the cost of the stay. Overall, it was comfortable, however, there is not good lighting in the room or bathroom. The shower setup is terrible…tiny. They should get rid of the giant jetted tub and remodel the bathroom and expand the shower. The towels and towel rack are located right above the toilet (be sure the toilet lid is closed)! The light on the magnifying mirror is useless. We had some pipe rattling noise in the wall next to the bed…I think it was from ppl in rooms on upper floors showering, but not sure…luckily, it didn’t happen overnight. We had an issue with our safe and it seemed like the battery might have needed to be replaced because it kept producing an error when we tried to open it on our 3rd day there. The front desk had a technician come to the room right away to fix it, but he also had issues and had to call someone named Zach who said that there was nothing he could do, that we must have stuffed it too full. No and rude. Finally it opened.
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay with staff who are always happy to help
- 3/5
The staff is amazing from the Valet guys to the maintenance guy. The hotel is just SO hot. They need to work on upgrading their hvac system. I paid for a room upgrade and it did not look like a room I should’ve paid to upgrade to. At all. City view? Not really, just a roof. Pretty disappointed in the value.
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay, especially if you are headed to one of the events at Ball Arena! Easy walk, so convenient, has a great lounge/bar/restaurant. Highly recommend this beautiful little boutique hotel.
- 4/5
Clean and nice, but there was no wifi available in the room.
- 5/5
One of my favorite parts of staying at Hotel Teatro was relaxing in The Study, their cozy library-style lounge. It felt warm and inviting, with comfy seating and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Perfect for reading, working.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel!
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable, with helpful staff that were knowedgeable of the surrounding area and how to get around. Some freebies/discounts for attached restaurant are available. The only minor problem was that I was acknowledged as an Expedia "VIP" but the associated offerings were not anything that I found interesting.
- 5/5
This is our second time staying here. The staff was wonderful. The room was nice and clean.
- 5/5
All around a great place to stay
- 5/5
A nice, well appointed, boutique hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Really responsive, friendly and well-trained staff. Consistently polite, pro-active and smart to everyone in every interaction (more than comparable service to the lauded service in the Big Famous Really Nice Place across the street). Great location to access all downtown places, and access to transport.
- 5/5
Beautiful spot from which to explore Denver on foot or with public transport. We loved the atmosphere and the sense of stepping back in time in luxury with modern flair.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, great staff, clean quiet. If you want room made up daily, you have to request. AC very poor!!!
- 5/5
Good boutique hotel!
- 4/5
The hotel was great! My only complaint was the chain on my hotel door rattled all night long.
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay in downtown Denver. We will definitely return.
- 4/5
Classic hotel with history in Denver
- 5/5
The hotel was nice and clean. The staffs friendliness made staying here a very pleasant experience.
- 5/5
Excellent stay with an excellent staff. Give them all raises!!!
- 5/5
Great location and great staff!
- 5/5
Nice hotel and very friendly staff
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
The hotel is very centrally located to take advantage of the Denver Downtown area.
- 5/5
Nice hotel in a great location downtown. Walkable to many attractions and trails. The restaurant and bar were closed the two nights we were there, but lots of other options nearby. Clean and comfortable as you should expect in this price range
- 5/5
The historic property was beautiful, yet rooms updated and very comfortable! The staff was so accommodating and friendly.
- 2/5
The room I booked was not available when I went to check in. I was told I would have to take a different room due to mechanical problems. The thing is the room they forced on us did not have any air conditioning either. The original room I booked was more expensive but no adjustments were made for me taking the other room. And no adjustments were made to the price for having to sweat all night either. Also this other room we had to take was not ready at check in time about an hr later which was very inconvenient again no offer to adjust price. Place was clean but shower flooded bathroom floor every time it was used just due to the door not fitting the opening well. Very unhappy about how much this room cost me for the overall quality of the stay. I will not recommend this place at all. You will not get what you pay for.
- 2/5
Offered a 'welcome drink' - only option was a warm glass of prosecco. It was a nice touch but a voucher for the bar would have been preferable. We had many bags and had had a long day, so we had the choice of lingering in reception to drink it or struggle back to our room. We have Gold status. Asked for late checkout (3h) and were told it would be $50 an hour. No thanks. The lady on checkout apologised and said 'our new supervisor isn't familiar with the reward levels'. We also questioned the $30 "resort fee" and asked what it was for. The receptionist then reeled off a list of "free"(?) things we were untitled to which weren't mentioned on check in. (These being eg a bottle of water and coffee n the room - things I would expect to be included for $340 a night!!)
- 5/5
Wonderful stay. Well located, very friendly staff, well-equipped room.
- 5/5
The historical architecture.
- 5/5
I love the location as our favorite restaurants are near by and you can take your pets there!
- 5/5
We did find a roach but it was on our way out the door, other then that I was clean staff was okay (nice)
- 3/5
After checking the reviews, my expectations were higher than what I got. The location is good, right in the center. My major concern was the cleanliness of the room. Found a few stains on the bedding sheets, dirty cups etc.
- 5/5
Always a pleasure staying!
- 4/5
Great staff!
- 5/5
It was a good location to walk to Ball Arena for concert. The staff was excellent
