Homewood Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown-Convention Center

Our favorite hotel to stay at in Denver. Conveniently located, great customer service, clean and comfortable rooms, and plenty of amenities.

We loved this hotel. Took a star away because it was 65 dollars a day to park! That’s crazy. I hate hidden costs like that. Build it into your rates.

Room was cleaned well and staff were nice and polite.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was helpful. One issue we had with our space, well bathroom, is that a lot of the water was splashing onto the floor outside of the shower, making the floor very slippery and soaking the towel on the floor. There was a glass separator, but no door.

Be warned that there is no alternative offered to their absolutely horrible valet service. Rude, slow, and inattentive. I waited for 10 minutes after arrival only to the find the valet guy kicked up with his feet in the air and on his phone. When he finally noticed me through the glass, he came out and just looked at me. Truly amazing service, worth every penny of the $60/night Shower was gross and moldy.. Stovetop was cracked.. I could go on but I gotta stop somewhere. Bottom line: would not recommend and will not be back

We booked 3 nights in the Homewood and when we checked in on the first night, we were required to stay at the Hampton instead, as no rooms were available. We then had to “check out” the next day and check back into the Homewood, where our original reservation was. It was a horrible experience. Ruined a portion of our day as we were waiting to sort this out. Staff pushed us to just stay at the Hampton the whole time (not acceptable as that hotel did not have the amenities and room that we specifically chose with our Homewood reservation) OR tried to encourage us to just leave our belongings with bellhop for the day and check in to our “new” room later. This was also not an acceptable option as we knew we wouldn’t get back to the hotel until likely after 11pm at night. There was no way we were leaving for the day, without knowing for sure we’d have a room to come back to. Very disappointing experience.

Everything Nothing

We booked and paid for our stay in advance. We arrived to check in and were told there were "maintenance" problems for all 4 rooms my group booked. Upon further review, the hotel overbooked, it wasn't a maintenance issue at all. They gave us sub-par rooms (for the same price as the nice rooms we reserved) in another hotel on the same property. Then, when we were able to move to the hotel/rooms we actually reserved there was much confusion. The plumbing and fixtures were loose and leaking, the USB plugs didn't work. The breakfast was nice. The bar was okay but expensive.

Great location. Pretty good breakfast by American standards. The hotel does not issue invoices if payment was made through Booking.com. Despite assistance from Booking.com, there has still been no response from the hotel.

Very clean property, nice staff, comfortable bed. The only problem I had was that I heard a huge banging in the middle of the night and it sounded like someone was breaking in. It happened 4 more times till I realized it was the air conditioning unit. Needs to be some system in place to change out those AC filters. Mine was really really dirty and hated the fact that I was breathing all that dust in. Lost 3 hours of sleep in the middle of the night, which effected my work day substantially.

I stayed at the hotel because I’m attending a convention, it was a 4 day 3 night stay. I got to the property around 2 and was able to check in. I didn’t know I was at the top floor of the hotel. I didn’t get on the bed til bedtime and I noticed at first that the headboard seemed to be vibrating, and then later on my bed too, few mins later there was a rattling sounds on the ceiling at the other side of the room. This was around 11pm and I was so tired but couldn’t sleep. I initially thought I’ll report this tomorrow but it was unbearable for me. I then called front desk and they investigated and found out it was the HVAC. I was offered another room at the 7th floor, and had this been during the day it would’ve been fine. However it was around 11pm and I was already in my pajamas. But because I need sleep, I had to pack up and move to a different room. There was no staff to help me move my stuff and I had to go to the first floor to pickup my key card.

This hotel boasts a fantastic location and a team that is both welcoming and genuinely helpful. We made great use of the excellent exercise room, and while the breakfast was fairly standard, it was a nice way to start each morning. The rooms themselves are a seamless blend of a sleek hotel suite and a functional studio apartment. Limited selection of toppings for my granola.

Clean room and spacious. Staff were professional. Only complaint is that there was no body wash in the bathroom and I asked for that to be refilled but it was never done.

Great Hotel, but the pool was closed for a few days we were there. Also, the rooms are not cleaned every day and we ran out of toilet paper and clean towels and they weren’t replenished for us. Other than that it was a great stay . Location is excellent and breakfast was great !

Pool was out of service for a couple of days. Washer and dryer only takes quarters. Thankfully the front desk had quarters. Would be ideal if they add credit card capabilities.

Right in the heart of downtown Denver, this property is close to everything, has incredible amenities, and feels well priced for what you get. I would recommend anyone book a suite when looking to turn a quick weekend trip into an unforgettable experience at the gateway to the rockies

Everything went smoothly. Dail breakfast was good. Staff were really good. We had one mixup with the expected every other day housekeeping service. They showed up abd we told them to return in 30 minutes. They did not return that day. I suspect it was a language issue. We requested service the next day and it got done.

The blinds in my room were broken. I called 3 times to the front desk and each time they had no record of my previous call. Never was fixed.

I really liked this hotel. I was attending a conference at the Colorado Convention Center, and the hotel was just one block from the venue. The room was very large, with a separate living room and a bedroom. The kitchen was also very nice with all the utensils and appliances. The breakfast was not lavish but adequate, with minor variations each day. It was a very good value for the money, and I will definitely consider staying here again when I come back to Denver next time.

The room was spotless, and the staff were always available and willing to assist. On our first night, Enrique and Christopher went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of protein, bread, and fresh fruit, more than I expected. Makala and Ana did an extraordinary job receiving us and making sure we were ok.

Room was huuuuge and had a great view of the city and the mountains. Staff were really great and helpful. Breakfast was excellent but it would've been nice to have bacon instead of sausage everyday. All in all the place was perfect and very family friendly 😃

Everything was clean and tidy. There were 2 TVs but only one worked. When I flushed the toilet, there was a sound like something hit the pipes in the wall. I was okay with it but other guests may not be.

The biggest disappointment is the price of parking, which feels high for guests already paying a decent nightly rate. In a city where there may be cheaper nearby garages or street options, the on-site parking charge can feel more like a penalty than a convenience. If staying again, it would be worth comparing nearby parking options or factoring the daily parking fee into the total trip budget.

Accommodating and great price

The front half of the store smelled of smoke but aside from that (which I chose not to report), the stay was perfectly fine. Helpful staff, adequate food choices for a hotel breakfast, great location, and comfortable bed!

The room was clean and comfortable, but I would have liked to be able to disarm the air conditioning program from turning on automatically in the middle of the night. I would have preferred the heater. Maybe instructions on the wall would have been nice to aid with it.

Great staff and location. Only issue is we booked for, four people with one bed and a sofa bed. Upon arrival sofa bed was not made up and we had to search for bedding. Booking made well in advance so assumed required bed arrangements would be made in advance.

Room 904 has a plumbing issue. In the shower the cold and hot water lines are switched and thus turning up the shower volume increases the amount of cold water. You should have a plumber fix this.

Homewood by Hilton Downtown was perfect. It’s a block from 16th Ave. Pedestrian Mall and under a mile walk to many attractions. The hotel was sparkling clean, the pool was a perfect temperature, the room was comfortable and so quiet! We loved our stay!

The breakfast was really good. However, water was out at the hotel for the entire night we were there. We asked for bottled water and it took 45 min to get it. They only offered us extra points at the end.

Spotlessly clean, there is a gym, ample places to work, big rooms with kitchens including a stove and refrigerator and dishes!! 5 for service. 6 or 7 for service! Maybe a 2 for the bed and the pillows. Omg the agony. The staff was so kind and brought me more. But this hotel concept obviously developed its purchasing when it was en vogue to provide flat down pillows. And say you had down pillows. Agony. A g o n y. And there were also lumpy, broken cheap pillows in ample supply. But this hotel missed the memo on medium firm beds and decent pillows. Agony. Laid towels on the floor to try to just stretch in the morning before going to work in pain. Rooms are spotless and nice, but you are still reminded of them being in the era of tiny windows that don’t open. Kinda dark for the price. But if my pillow and bed weren’t agony inducing, I probably wouldn’t have noticed as much. Costly for the meh location, but inches from the conference center if that is what brings you.

Wonderful rooms

The first room was missing a cupboard door. The second room stunk from the first time we opened the door and the bathroom sink dripped the entire time we were there. The bathroom downstairs by the pool was dirty and missing soap. The bathroom on the main floor by the elevators was missing part of the ceiling tiles. The breakfast staff were amazing super friendly and very attentive to everyones needs. The valet was great. Very friendly.

Not enough front desk staff! Out of a bank of 7 elevators only 2 were operating. I went to the front desk and they did get only 1 more operating!!! The hotel was very busy and the wait for elevators was so ridiculous!! The room was very nice and the breakfast was good.

Right in heart of downtown, a block from 16th street mall. Can easily take free bus and go to Capitol building and Union Station. Clean hotel with great breakfast. Only complain was communication from hilton app chat was not monitored. I booked via expedia but was able to select room via the app. And room did not include bathrobe as Expedia had listed.

The property and accommodations were clean and offered all the amenities you could want. The valet service was a bit challenging. Valet staff appeared to be available at peak check-in and checkout hours but otherwise difficult to access. Not sure if this is due to system or just lack of staffing. Other than that, great stay.

Definitely a unique setup with two hotels in one building, we were only there for 2 very busy days and our mornings started before breakfast and ended late. Only negative I'd give it was parking. There are public lots at a fee per night, I feel we should have recieved a discount for being in the hotel near by. On Saturday evening parking was sparse with other activities going on in downtown.

Very nice room and the location is great, breakfast was delicious with a lot of options. The check in was terrible, one person attending another customer and taking forever and other two people next to her doing nothing. The hotel gets pretty crowded with people going to the convention center.

At best location, close to restaurants and 16th street mall

Fantastic hotel with huge suite rooms. Great location right next to the mall and 16th street, 20 min walk to union station. Staff were really friendly, courteous and helpful. Amenities were terrific. Free breakfast wasn’t the best (reheated stuff) but lots of options were there and in general was quite good. We had a great Mountain View room. Prices are unbeatable for this level of comfort and service. Only downside was really expensive valet parking only, $65 per day. There is a parking garage 3 min walk away that was $7 per day approx. they should just offer that. It makes no sense to pay $150 a night for room and $65 to valet park. Very minor but guests should know this. Otherwise excellent hotel and would stay here again

It was close to some shopping and Coors Field

It took almost 45 minutes to valet my car and then another 20-30 minutes standing in line to check in.

I really liked that it was a walking distance to restaurants, bars, shopping centers, etc. Staff were really friendly. Definitely recommend for those looking for a place to stay in Downtown.

Really nice place to stay, and friendly staff. Housekeeping was far three of us staid in the room and booked it that way but had to ask for towels and rags on a number of times, they would only put 2 towels one rag on a number of the days we stayed.

Pool was not in service. Was not told until AFTER I paid for the room and deposit. Spoke with someone from Hotels.com and they hung up in my face.

We had a great stay. Everything was nice and clean. The only thing is the price for valet parking $60.00 that’s crazy.

My family and I were coming to town for the weekend. The size of the room was wonderful for family use. The pillows were TERRIBLE. They were so ‘soft’ there was almost no point in having a pillow. When I asked for a firmer option I got a slightly more filled soft pillow - it would be so nice if a firm and a soft pillow were left for each guest/sleeping spot in each room. Also, the blankets were very thin. We attempted several times to turn up the room temp but the temp never adjusted. We requested more blankets and they were paper thin so my kids used bath towels for an extra layer. There were three bath towels I. The room even though our reservation was for four people - we just shared. It’s a great hotel location but some things need adjusted to make it a comfortable stay.

Fine hotel

The hotel was great. The only downside was parking. The valet parking can get really expensive if you're staying anything more than a day or so. They dont have their own lotto park in, but it was nice of the valet to tip me off the parking lot across from the hotel was about $100 dollars cheaper.

Easy going. It was a short walk to the convention center and food/drink options and a fair price for the area. Would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

However, I checked in close to 6 pm, ( our room should have been ready at 4), the lady who checked us in said oh your room isn’t ready and was searching and searching finally putting us into an eye sore room. (Broken cabinet) they were supposed to send someone to fix it but then said the part had to be ordered and wasn’t getting fixed the next day . They offered to move us into another room but I wasn’t inclined to moving all our stuff again. No compensation was offered Then dirty pull out bed and broken hair dryer was a real turn off. Then after 2 days I asked the man at the front desk to get us wash towels and he said would sent them up, they never came. Another disappointment. Last but not least the coffee was terrible

I was disappointed from the start. It was a busy check-in and our room was not ready so they told us to wait in the lobby for their text with an update. An hour passes and i avoided going up because they were so busy but when i finally did i was met with attitude, saying we sent you a text. I didnt have one and as im saying this he tries to send to me two more times and he said its not working for me either. He said i guess i can make you keys but you will have to wait for when i have time. Mind blown!!! Mind you it didnt take long for him to make them. It was just the attitude he gave was bad. We finally get to our room and within 30 mins a woman walks in, no knock and i yell out Hello! She still walks in and says she was adding an air freshner to the refrigerator. Started off very bad. The bed was nice but the cabinets and furniture was not kept up. The automatic blinds were broken so 1 window never worked. Valet guys were good.

Great place! Ideal location. Lots of very good restaurants within walking distance. Well equipped rooms. Nice gym. Highly recommend!

No air conditioning for the entire hotel. It was sweltering in our room. We were told there was engineering working on the problem, but nothing ever got better. The thermostat in the room registered 75 when we got to the room, upon checkout it was 81 degrees!!! This is the most expensive room I’ve ever stayed in and also the worst!

Our rooms were nice but it had a leak in the restroom sink so that was taken care of right away but I think that it should be maintained every week and the housekeeper was very nice but didn’t speak English and I could not understand Spanish but we got some help with that as well otherwise it was good

The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was better than most hotels and the staff in the breakfast area were top notch. The valet parking was fast but quite expensive.

Had breakfast every morning which saved a lot! Super convenient if you are attending anything at the convention center.

The place is clean and morning breakfast is decent. There is no anti-slip mat in the shower and we asked for it. They said they don’t have any. Had to be extra careful. I slipped in the shower on the last night.

Stayed for business, breakfast is included. Additional parking options across the street so you can skip valet which can add up after if staying multiple days. Walked to the conference I attended no problem. There was construction on 16th street so walking was kind of tricky but no reason to not stay here.

I like that it’s near my congress venue at the convention center and Hyatt.

A great hotel in the heart of Denver, great for walking to things nearby. Hotel staff was polite. Mackenzie at the bar was fabulous!! A highlight of our stay! Room was big and clean and quiet. Very happy and will stay again!

Stay was good, but could've been better... Our refrigerator made a horrible noise, we had a broken chair, and half our room shades didn't work. We reported all this to the front desk. They asked if we wanted a room switch, but we declined- we were already settled in. They actually fixed the chair and swapped out the refrigerator!!! Most excellent! THANK YOU! Unfortunately they couldn't fix the shades- but we really appreciated the attempt. Otherwise our room was good. Bathroom floor could've been cleaner. There is an excellent hotel bar from 3 till 10 PM... Breakfast is decent and included.

Our dishes were dirty, staff wouldn’t let us know when DoorDash arrived and left it out for anyone to grab, and our keys had to be reset every time we used it. The breakfast was also beyond subpar. The area was very sketchy, the roads were all torn up, parking was not available. It was overall a disappointing trip and area to be in.

Came to town for a dance competition at the convention center. Booked this hotel due to proximity plus amenities and price. Did not disappoint . Suite was very large and both the bed and fold out couch bed were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best we've experienced. Loved the location next to the convention center and 16th St shopping and dining. Only slight complaint is that there weren't blow dryers in the rooms. This is something most every hotel provides and therefore we don't pack.

Nice hotel. We felt super safe there. My only real issues were with the bathroom and tv remotes. The door was sliding, couldnt really lock it. The toilet took a while to flush, had to hold the handle down for a while. The shower was hard to turn on and difficult to adjust temp. The tv remotes just did not cooperate with us. We had to point them in random directions to get them to work and that was still a hassle trying to figure out.

Very nice hotel in downtown Denver. Walking distance to 16th Street Mall, shops, restaurants, and bars. Room was very nice. Plenty of space for 4 people. Full kitchen, other than an oven. Pool and hot tub were fantastic. Fitness room was large and well equipped. Breakfast was also great. Full spread of everything you could ask for. Parking is a bit pricey ($60), so we used SpotHero and got a parking space a block away for $20. Would definitely stay again.

We tried to see if we could check in early around noon. The guy wasn't very friendly and told us to check around 1 to see if there was a room available. When we returned at 1pm to check, the girl that was at the desk was more concerned about chit chatting with the valet. A few times in the middle of asking her a question she would interrupt to talk to the valet. After repeating the question she answered like we were a bother and were dumb for asking. She did say there were plenty of rooms available but we would have to pay an early check in fee. We had been traveling since 1am and we're too tired so we just paid it. The room was decently large and clean. The shower took more than 10mins to warm up and the chairs at the table were wobbly. I did let the front desk know later in the afternoon when there were more approachable, friendly staff. The hot tub was pretty gross and smelled funky. Breakfast was decent. We parked at a garage down the street for $45 for 3 days with in and out privleges. Overall we were disappointed. We haven't stayed at many Hilton properties lately and have recently decided to check them back out again. This stay reminded us why we started to go with Marriott and IHG properties. Its the little things that makes the biggest impact.

I did not like the suggested options for parking. The front desk suggested an expensive option to their "very" expensive overnight valet. The bar and bartender were nice - the front desk staff were adequate- not overly helpful or concerned... just so-so. Breakfast was well run.
