Comfort Suites Near Denver Downtown

The room was clean, the staff was great, the breakfast was good, the parking was great. The room we got was big and accommodated my big family. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place to spend it in Denver. The beds were comfortable, it had two restrooms. There was only one tub with the shower included but it was still very convenient to have two restrooms. We really enjoyed our stay.

We booked a last-minute stay here because the Hotels.com reviews were okay, but decided to back out before reaching our destination because the recent Google reviews were horrendous. Bed bugs, car break ins at least weekly, unhelpful management, etc. We called Hotels.com for help and they told us that although we couldn’t get our refund back for that night because of the 24 hour cancellation policy, we could get a refund for the following two nights of our booking because it was outside of the 24 hours. We spoke to the hotel manager as well as the Hotels.com agent and we were on the same page. A few days later, I received an email saying that Hotels.com could not process our refund. They gave us $50 in credits, which is laughable given the amount of money we spent on a booking we couldn’t use. We called to get the reason, and a different agent we spoke to said that the hotel had to approve the refund and they didn’t. We called this hotel, and they were confused saying that they do not have the authorization to approve because we booked through Hotels.com. Only Hotels.com has the ability to approve or unapprove refunds booked through Hotels.com. Moreover, the person I spoke to at this hotel said they were never paid by Hotels.com for the booking because there was no longer a booking! Just warning yall, don’t book at this hotel because it really is unsafe and Hotels.com is hiding reviews to trap their customers.

Coffee Machine in reception lobby was out of order for 3 days till we left. Old lady on check out on 6th june at the reception was not helpful to put on other coffee machine nearby. Lemon Drinking Water Pot at reception was always empty. Lift lobby area had big dutsbin. Opposite lift Housekeeping maintenence room was always open to given oversll a shabby look. Housekeeping was top order. Other staff at reception was very helpful.

Comfort Inn was good place to stay and I did stay at one in Dallas, TX was exceptional too this was last in late April. Bed was comfortable with clean sheets and pillows. Bathroom was very clean and bath towels the room was great. Well when I checked in on Saturday after 4 the 2 queen beds were fine but the couch was a torn material at corner of couch and it was like that when we arrive. I hope I didn't get charge for that and forgot to let front desk know about it. Also breakfast ended at 9 and I was not inform about it that continental breakfast end at 9. There was event at Mile High Stadium concert night before and we came back late at 1230am and woke up after 9am. Wish breakfast lasted 30 more mins.

When booking, I looked up motel close to hospital and it to me to the other side of Denver. App not very helpful

For the price, expected much more from hotel room. Also, there were usually one or two sketchy looking people in parking lot.

I'm from FL so to me the breakfast was less than okay. I had to leave the hotel after a day to go to a different hotel that's when I realized that their breakfast was better than more expensive hotels. The area is not safe, 3 cars got broken into the first night. The front door is locked at night. Lot of homeless hanging around the property. I was supposed to stay for 3 nights but left after the first night for safety reasons, but the staff said they couldn't issue a refund for the remaining nights because my reservation was prepaid.

Front desk was helpful and friendly. The room could have been cleaner. You could see visible spill stains on the footrest,couch and desk we didn’t make to big of a fuss since we didn’t spend too much time in the room. The jets in the tub did not work . That was under main reason we got the room to. BEWARE of the walk in showers I stepped in and it was like standing on ice I immediately fell down. I had to put a towel in the shower to not fall.

Took towels and didn't replenish and didn't leave new bedding (or the bedding that was already there) for the couch pull out. There was also an empty pillowcase INSIDE our closed suitcase. So, they obviously got into our suitcase which was closed. When we tried to talk to the front desk, they had no answers or help and said housekeeping was already gone and made us carry all of the bedding and towels all the way back up to our own room. She said her manager was on her way from another location and we could speak with her. When we spoke to the manager again, she had no answers or help. The main concern was why was there an empty pillowcase in our closed suitcase. There's NO reason housekeeping should have number one, come into our room when we had the do not disturb sign on the door and number two been inside our closed suitcase. The front desk girl said the manager could possibly offer a discount or something to help make up for having to take our own bedding and towels to the room and re make the bed ourselves and for housekeeping coming into our room when they weren't supposed to. There was boogers on the wall next to one of the beds and the mattresses were stained and one had a hole on the side with the inside sticking out. The head boards had hand marks on it.

The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The bed bugs, the ants, the cleanliness. We found bed bugs in our room which is absolutely disgusting. Still waiting to hear back about a refund. Don't forget about the ants. We also had to switch rooms once due to cleanliness. The area surrounding the hotel is full of homeless and it's not a good neighborhood. Also our fridge didn't work right and be careful taking a shower because the water leaks all over the floor.

Nothing Location (lot’s of homeless and suspicious behavior outside the hotel). Cleanliness (the room was really dirty and the couch had white stains). A lot of broken edges in the bathroom. Pool was really slippery.

The room was fairly clean and didn’t have any odor issues. But, I did see a bedbug crawling on the wall next to the nightstand. I forgot to mention this to staff upon my departure, but hope they fumigate the rooms regularly. The stay was okay overall. Just that one concern.

The gym was great and the beds were comfortable. Our room had white stains on the carpet, pull out couch and cushions and other furniture throughout the room. There were dirt markings and stains on the walls as well.

Their pet policy is not accurate in booking details, upon checkin im told that the pet is not allowed in the room alone, you must be there with them or take them with you everytime you leave, which I can’t do and hence I had to cancel and find another hotel last minute after my arrival there, and take another uber to new hotel; I asked why the policy isn’t on the booking page and she said they “tell you when you check in” at which point it’s already too late, I’m there and booked, that info is necessary on the listing

The room and staff was very good! The only bad thing I had to say about the hotel was the hot water in our shower did not work well and the hallway on the floor we stayed on smelled like marijuana. I know in Fenver it is legal to smoke there I just don't want to smell it.

There is not enough room in this box to explain to you the traumatic, unnecessary rudeness of your front desk person named Celeste. This reservation was made on booking.com 3 days prior to the visit. I specifically needed that location. I specifically needed an ADA room. I spoke to the front fe staff on Thursday. I spoke to the front staff on Friday. They assured me that the room was confirmed & that if I needed to ask anywhere questions to go through booking.com. I was on a road trip all day Saturday for about 10 hours with very spotty connection. I received a voicemail which my phone gives me transcripts of with a very rude message about me checking in at that hotel location. There are so many ways that your company dropped the ball on this room reservation. I do not have the bandwidth to get into it all as I was in town for a funeral and should not have been stressed about my stay. Stressed to the point where my caregiver went inside first, her husband went inside. Second Owen is my third and she threatened to call the cops and took a picture of my license plate. I was assured that I would have to get out of the car to sign in I then received another one that my room had been canceled. Celeste needs to go to conflict resolution courses.no to She had no business calling the police on a disabled person. She had no right to cancel my reservation.

The staff is always kind and welcoming. The room smelled as though the previous guest had been smoking in it, even though it was a non-smoking room.

The ladies at the front desk were kind and considerate. We had bedbugs in the sleeper sofa. My daughter was eaten up. The front desk handled the situation well. But I had to spend 4 hours moving rooms and washing laundry. The manager never even called me, she barely refunded the room and I still have not received a response to my email to her 5 days later. I would have taken this much more seriously.

Honestly.. it was a room to sleep in while my niece was wrestling but the mattresses were stained with brown/red blotches. The chair had a broken wheel and was broke in a low riding position. The backboard was not wiped down. When checking in I was told the deposit was $100 because it was located in the fun zone. Not sure what was fun. The pool area was run down. Towels weren't stocked the entire time. Crackheads were all over the breakfast area.. can't say if they were staying or just walked in off the street. Asking staff for assistance was like pulling teeth or they were busy on their phones. I was unable to find the front desk person the morning of check out. Oh and the 2nd floor reecked of weed.

Clean rooms & staff was great

The hotel is actually nice like the pictures. The issue is the people in and around the facility. There is a homeless camp right in front of the hotel and lots of people wondering the parking lot and also inside the facility. Around 5pm the first night we were going to dinner with our children and a man clearly on a substance was in the parking lot yelling at people and tried to fight my husband while he held my children’s hands. We did not feel safe here and contemplated packing up and leaving. Would not recommend.

This was the 3rd time I’ve stayed here and the first two were great. This time I was on the far south end of the building. The highway was right outside the building - LOUD and the building vibrates

Location is nice but it really ends there. The staff is overwhelmed and on the weekend the clientele is questionable AT BEST! Pretty sure there are “weekly renters” and woman who rent hotels for the weekend if you catch my drift. I booked based on photos and location but wish I had done more research. The pool was full without one towel available so the floors of the lobby hallway and elevators were soaked. Random people roaming out front going through the ashtrays looking for cigarette butts. I was there 3 nights and housekeeping never entered my room. Was advised to put my trash in the halls and it sat there for over a day with no one picking it up. It’s a shame as the property and rooms are nice but I can’t imagine that there aren’t better options for your stay even if it cost a little more. Staff was friendly but really lost and overwhelmed. Just sharing what I wish I would have known prior to booking.

I’m was able to get checked in great and my stay wasn’t too bad for 3 nights and 4 days. We did have younger kids above us that were making lots of noise starting at 6 am every day. I understand I have kids plus it was for thanksgiving week. Let all that slide not a problem. Come to check out day we are pulling sheets off bed to be nice to staff and make sure nothing is left behind. As we do this we find a bug in the sheets. Took a picture and went to front desk to speak with staff. No one was at the front desk so I had to wait almost 10 minutes. The lady in the front was nice. I showed her the bug she killed it and said I could have it back. She said a manager wasn’t going to be in till that afternoon at 3:30. It was 10:30 and I have to get on the road back home. Well I waited an no one bothered to call me back and my grandma just died so I don’t have time to be calling them for them to fix anything. So probably have bed bugs but I guess everything else was good.

I specifically picked this hotel because of the proximity to the Broncos stadium to make Uber rides easier. They gave our room away because we were the last ones to check in and there was a “flood”, we were 5 minutes from the hotel. Sent us to their sister hotel,Plaza Hotel, which was 20 minutes further away. The Plaza was a death trap! Holes in the bathroom ceiling, trash in the hallways, spray painted fridges and an ungodly smell of cigarette smoke. We missed the whole 1st quarter! I requested a call from a Comfort Suites manager and I have yet to receive one 3 weeks later. I paid the price for the Comfort Suites hotel which was double what the Plaza Hotel was listed. Not to mention the Plaza Hotel was further away from the stadium which made the Uber fees more expensive. Ruined what was supposed a great night with my best friend.

Then my 4 year old daughter fell standing in the shower. She cut her chin open severely enough to require medical attention. I stopped at the desk to ask directions to a hospital - exciting stuff at 10pm on Saturday night in Denver. We spent several hours in the ER, returned, and asked for a late check out for my obviously distraught toddler. There was no concern whatsoever for us or her, and no late check out without paying more. Very frustrating. Weve stayed in this hotel 4 or 5 times already but will look for other options in the future.

We love this hotel. Location is wonderful and close to Empower field & other downtown venues. The rooms are clean & very spacious. Free parking is definitely another plus! Water pressure for the shower was poor but a minor issue. I would definitely give this hotel a 9.5 out of 10.

Used the Hotel for two nights while in town to watch my team play the Broncos. Stadium was a 20 minute walk from the Hotel. Perfect Hotel if going to a Broncos game. Price was fair. I thought neighborhood during walk to stadium was just fine, never felt unsafe. No thrills Hotel, but perfect for my game day needs.

Room were clean, staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent. We didn’t use the pool, so can’t speak to that. The area around was not ideal, however. I wouldn’t feel safe walking anywhere with my kiddos, and probably wouldn’t feel safe if it were just my husband and I.

Saw 2 drug deals going on 1 block down the road. And found a udes needle in my bathroom, after it was suppose to have been cleaned. The front desk staff was great.

Room was comfortable and clean and was in great vicinity to activities we were doing. The girls working the front desk west super friendly. However, we got to the hotel about 2 hours before official check-in time and were charged $50 per room to check in early even though our rooms were ready(I had 2 rooms). We have stayed here previously and this was not an issue. I was told this was due to the new ownership when I asked why we are being charged this time. Had we known we would be paying that much extra, We would have gotten nicer rooms elsewhere for that price at a hotel that didn't charge early check-in. I travel quite often and have never been charged an early check-in before. I unfortunately do not plan on staying here again due to this issue.

My flight was delayed for hours and we were made to board, deboard, board again and sit on the plane for hours. Then my rental car place was closed. Then after hours of delay and no sleep, I arrived at Comfort Suites early in the morning and exhausted. I was then told that it was too late to check in and I could not stay, even though I was charged in full for multiple nights. They said they had rooms available and I could pay for the stay again. That was already paid for. The manager refused to show me the policy. She couldn’t even tell me when I had to be checked in by, she said it varied. I am so completely disgusted by the lack of compassion and humanity. I hope to share this story as much as possible so no one ever supports this business again.

The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good. There are no restaurants or stores nearby, but the interstate is right there to drive to those places. I would totally recommend staying here.

On a brighter note: The shower was great! The breakfast lady isn't paid enough. She worked her tail off to keep things full! You don't want to lose her. The clerk should wipe tables for her.

Awesome stay! Breakfast had a lot of options. The beds were super comfy. Close enough to all the different activities planned. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The pool only went to 4 ft but still cool and a good temp. Would definitely stay there again!

Second room was spacious and had an extra room with a king size bed, but we were unable to use it because the floor and bed nonstop vibrated from what we think was the elevator.

Totally fine for the night for what it was. Breakfast in morning was good. Beds were clean (but soft so I woke up with a back ache). Toilet had a hard time flushing.

Headboards were nasty and had some kind of spray or grease on there. Two beds each comforter had some kind of brown stain on it. Carpet and floor was pretty gross looking. Beds were comfortable though. And the AC kind of worked so it wasn’t hot at all. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work. Fridge kept making a sound all the time but did work. The area around the hotel was not good. Lot of broken glass in the parking lot from I assume Broken in cars. But right off the freeway so easy to access. Parking wasn’t great. Breakfast was fine. Staff was fine.

Shower door was broken

Made the reservation on line and arrived just 15 minutes later and everything was ready to go and waiting. Service was fantastic and the breakfast was excellent.

Facility is what you would expect for a Comfort Suites. Location is another story. Lots of car noise in the front of the building and I think Federal may be a drag strip. Lots of loitering and activity through your the night in the parking lot. I experienced several groups of very loud individuals through the halls at 2:30 and 3:30 am. Front desk wasn't too concerned when told.

Also the breakfast was really bad. For the price of the hotel . They need a much better breakfast

We had an 8- sleeper room and it was so roomy. Even had two toilets which I was really really hoping for. The room was nice. Didn't smell funny or anything. There was some crumbs under the couch and a couple ants in the bathroom on our last day there but nothing too crazy. My kids had a blast in the pool. The location isn't too great for taking walks or anything but easy access to the highway. Will definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at this hotel and it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and eager . The room was quite large for what I paid, clean and was safe. Overall best stay at reasonable rate.

It was a family vacation. Wanted to take my mother around Colorado and let her explore the area. When we checked in the service was decent but throughout the stay room service was very rude. We tried to clean up after our room so when we asked for trash bags we were given attitude. When asked for new towels every day we stayed there the older woman at the front desk was also rude. I was charged $25 out of my $100.00 deposit for a towel she wouldn’t take out of the bag to show me why it was being thrown away. I will be giving this hotel bad ratings every possible way. We chose this hotel because it was downtown Denver and convenient but the service is enough to never go back and deserves every bad rating possible.

Although I personally didn’t love the location of the hotel, everything was overall good. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, and overall the room was good. My only complaint about the room is that the blackout curtains don’t close so the sun was shining very bright in the room come 6 am. We did not get to use the amenities such as the pool or workout room, but the small marketplace for late night snacks was awesome.

It's in a very underdeveloped area of Denver lots of bums and crusty folk walking around.

Loved my stay here. The room was clean and the only negative thing I can say was my shower pressure wasn’t the best. Other than that it was great! It’s walking distance to the broncos stadium and convenient if going to see a game. Over all it was a good stay.

Walking into the hotel, the lobby look nice and staff were courteous and professional. But that's where the "good" about this hotel ended. Got on the elevator and it sounded like it was about to break down. Got off on our floor and the smell of marijuana was so strong it about made you gag! Got to our room and only one key worked. Open the door and the room was filled with old worn and damaged furniture, (it was a suite). The carpet was dirty and had a number of large stains on it, and even the buttons and the spaces between the buttons on the tv remote were filthy - didn't want to touch it! The toilet seat and lid in the bathroom were broken, as was the swing bar security lock on the door. The ONLY thing good about the room was the bed and pillows were comfortable.

This hotel was located in a very sketchy and unsafe part of town. We drove into the parking lot and witnessed lots of shady behavior with people in and around the hotel. We chose not to even stay even though we had already paid for a room. Do not waste your money on this hotel!

I do not recommend staying here for the "continental breakfast." The coffee was terrible and chalky. The food was limited in options and did not taste good. And we couldn't make our own coffee in our room because the coffee pot was missing the filter basket. I did like the beds, they were comfortable for me which is very rare! 😊 The property needs some repairs - like the shower handle was loose and the door handles were sometimes finicky. (Pull up instead of push down). I also noticed some of the floor molding needed to be replaced or glued back onto the wall. But, all in all, this place is decent for the money in our "emergency" trip. Normally, I try to plan in advance but this was a last minute unplanned trip. Happy trails 😊

I paid extra to get a room with a jacuzzi hot tub. When i went to use it the tub didn't work. The staff didn't offer a solution.

I would have given a 5 star review, but our room wasn't ready until 4pm, when check in is 3pm. I even went to the front desk at 1pm and asked for an early check in. The front desk checked to see if our room was by chance ready, it was.not. she said the cleaning staff was at lunch, and she would tell them to.clean my reserved room 1st when they got back from lunch. I asked for a different room that was available, but she could not switch it since I booked through Expedia. Went back to hotel at 3:30pm, and room was not ready. We had to wait until 4pm for our room to be finished. Once we got into our room, there was a distinct smell, smelled like ant or bug poison. Otherwise, we had a great stay. Room was clean, place was quiet. Beds and couch were comfy.

Terrible customer service on the day of the check in, because the person that day she's given me a wrong room and guess what next day went I coming back from work my key was not working so I had to go back to the lobby to get re-program and the lady right away told me I am looking for you she is explain to me that was a mistake with my room so this people decided to take all my stuff out and put it lobby that's embarrassing, because I have my stuff all over the place, I even put the sign that don't disturb for a reason, I don't know why can just call me and let me know what's going on so we can figure it out. so that's why I'm really so upset, how this people they resolve things

My stay was fantastic! My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, I had plenty of space, towels and everything I needed for an enjoyable stay. Macalah and the front desk staff was very kind, understanding and professional. The morning breakfast was a lifesaver and tasted great with a variety to eat. I would recommend this hotel to everyone to enjoy.

A little worn down. The location was easy to get to, but a lot of solicitors.

The sofa-bed looked and smelled like it was taken out of a crack-house or something out of a scary movie. It was dirty, stained, and it smelled funky. I did not even want to touch that thing with a ten foot pole. Felt like I was going to get sick from it if I did. To make things worse, the mattress inside the sofa-bed was stained, thin, and frail. They need to get rid of that sofa-bed. It was disgusting. There was weird noises coming from the plumbing and the elevator was broken. Overall, the hotel is ran-down. It needs some serious upgrades.

The entire common area looks like someone went on a rampage and just kicked everything. Panels in the elevator are falling off the wall. A truck ran into the entry awning and took a massive chunk out of it. The tiles in our bathtub were not only falling off, but someone had put one of them back BACKWARDS. Shower curtain rod was detached from the wall. Whoever is doing maintenance in this building ought be fired. Staff was nice, but lord this place does NOT deserve anything higher than a 4 rating. Whoever is rating a 10 has the lowest standards imaginable.

Hotel was ok. Don’t get a room on the back side. The school district property is there and they started grinding metal and making lots of noise at 6am. Not cool. The front desk gal was super friendly and went out of her way to help. Kudos to her

The room provided was nice, spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent and my stay overall was comfortable.

The area for being a downtown location did not seem like the best area of town with the homeless population hanging around and the hotel didn’t seem to be in the best of condition. I will explain…When we first got there, we realized halfway through the night that our AC wasn’t working and neither was our phone so that we could call downstairs. That wasn’t too big of a deal, because we got to go downstairs and interact with Celeste who was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet and so helpful! She tried to make sure our stay was the most comfortable and did everything in her power to make that possible. She was such a great lady to interact with and I would definitely return just because of her.

We had a few problems with our room. One, the AC wasn’t working for the first night and neither was our phone. They did get the AC fixed but couldn’t get the phone fixed while we were there but that was ok because that allowed us to get to know one of the front desk ladies very good. Her name was Celeste. She was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet and very helpful with everything we asked of her and if she couldn’t help, she would try to find a solution. We really appreciate her and what all she did to make our stay as comfortable and a great experience as possible!

The location was fine due to its proximity to red rocks amphitheater. The chlorine and aromatic devices in room were quite potent and unwelcoming.

Our bathroom had a toilet leak we were constantly having to clean floor with towels and having to request more towels they went to fix toilet and the toilet was never fixed and when I let the manager know at check out she was rude about the whole problem. I’ve stayed her multiple times and never had a bad experience until this recent time

This was a perfect place for us to stay for a concert we attended at Empower field. It was centrally located to all the things we needed. I appreciate the parking being a part of the stay and no hassle.

Breakfast was sad and basically gone at 8:50am. It closed at 9 (too early). Would definitely go back because Lindsey was the bomb.

Cons: severe neglect overall at the property. The curtains in the room were filthy. desk was sticky. prongs broken off in outlets so they were unusable. cracked floor in the bathroom with missing tile. coffee pot in room missing parts. bathroom sink sprayed horizontally. breakfast offering was poor and it was always crowded and chaotic. noisy due to busy hotel and location to the freeway. air conditioner fan was noisy (like a lawnmower) but necessary to block other noise from guests and freeway.

For a decent price close to downtown it was perfect. However, our room was a little dirty and the staff were not very friendly. The area is also a little sketchy. Lots of beggars near the hotel.

The food was so so, the oatmeal came without any raisins or other add ons. The hours were 6 a.m . To 9 a.m. That was to early for some of us. Overall the room was great. One hazard was no mat in the tub for slip prevention. Beds comfort!

Out of date, noise and not well maintained.

Dependable and affordable hotel. I was scared after reading reviews, but the hotel was fine. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was great. If you’re looking for an affordable family-friendly place, this hotel is great.

It was very hard to get into the property. Basically there is one direction only to access it. No nearby places to eat and you don't want to walk to anything because there are a lot of homeless people around.

Last minute family weekend trip took us to stay at this hotel. Most of the hotels on the area were sold out due to a concert nearby. Ended up paying over 500 for 2 nights, the front desk service wasn’t friendly at all, the hotel overall needs better maintenance, the rooms wasn’t clean. The intersection where the hotel ots located its very loud. The breakfast area its too small for the size of the hotel and pleoplenwas waiting in line for more thatn 10 minutes to get waffles. At least we saw the police come to the hotel 3 times during our 2 days stay. Would not recommend this place at all.

When we arrived to check in we were notified there was a lot of cards that they did not accept so we had to transfer money to another account which was very inconvenient because we are from out of town and just drove 10 hrs to get there and wait for that to process. The front desk ladies were not very helpful either.

Great staff very helpful and nice!! Helped so much getting a ride to the concert and making sure we understood instead of wishing us luck lol thank you guys!

Great stay

adjacent to very busy and loud highway. not very sound-proof windows. guests smoking pot in the rooms. worse breakfast I ever had, limited options, no fruit, powered eggs, potato cubes and thick, gluey gravy. For this price, I could (and should) have stayed in a nice downtown hotel.

Shower could use some updating. Plastic edging is moldy. Hair dryer plug is missing the top portion and wires exposed. Road noise was a huge problem and some idiot was blasting fireworks in the middle of the night. That's not the hotels fault, but gives you some idea of the neighborhood.
