Reviews
The hotel's location is frequently praised, but the cleanliness and condition of the rooms are consistently criticized. Customer service is also a common complaint, with staff often described as unhelpful or rude.

I don’t know how this place is still open, it is not maintained in the slightest. The front desk staff was friendly, however.
- 5/5
Thanks for the hospitality and accommodations in such short notice. Will definitely be back again.
- 3/5
Good for games and if you are looking for a cheap hotel.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean. Staff was amazingly helpful but because it’s an older hotel, it could definitely use an upgrade on some maintenance.
- 3/5
Great price in a great location with a great view of downtown Denver. Also pretty peaceful. Staff is helpful and kind.
- 2/5
It was like there was a crappy DJ running a bootleg nightclub out of his car behind the building from 9p to 1a.

Property not as shown in pics. Very rundown and in need of a lot of maintaince. Pool obviously hasn’t been in operation for a few years. “Breakfast” consisted of dry cereal, toast, and juice…the end. The AC only worked when it wanted to, the blower dryer has been ripped off the wall (staff was helpful in getting a replacement, but it should have been done before checkin), overall VERY run down and not maintained. Literally put an entire light fixture on the side wall to cover a hole. Shower counted mounted at such an angle that it wouldn’t stay closed.
- 5/5
ideal spot for a downtown experience
- 2/5
Point if your looking for motel hotel thats close to the stadium and close to Denver and close to the walking path with beautiful views from the highlands then this hotel motel isn't a bad choice.
- 2/5
Everybody has a different experience but I was just disappointed because I spent so much money there over the last month because I was living there with trying to find a place and staff that work there then was we're so helpful and upbeat now it's very much the opposite I'm treated like not worth anything and they want me out even though I always pay and I had a room booked just because they overslept a little bit and yeah so not good experience this time I must say they also put me as a barged into our room several times security with like with two hard knocks and then no swinging open the door threatening us to the police right 30 minutes but till check out and then we also had yeah threats of being told we couldn't stay there any longer because there were no rooms available but I looked it up and they're definitely were so be aware.
- 4/5
The staff was rude and unaccommodating. The buildins are old and dilapidated. I overslept one day for the 11am checkout and had mangers and security personnel open my room without permissions or announcing themselves. They told me that i can't book any room again the following day another room and that tomorrow the police would be coming to our room at 11am to remove us. This all started because I slept through my alarm and woke up at 11:20am. I've stayed at the hotel for a total of about 50ndays in this hotel in the last 6 months. My early experiences with staff a year ago. They wouldn't let me switch rooms. They told me they were booked up on weekly rentals and I got quoted on 1ndifferwntbahotes by by and I could see them somewhere to get started.

The rooms floors and linens were clean but the whole property is pretty run down and smelled kinda mildew-ey staff mistook our room for unoccupied and entered while we were trying to sleep, Theroom lacked basic amenities like the microwave plate, iron, ironing board cover, hair dryer, and the towels/linens are very thin and pretty uncomfortable. One of the two beds was lopsided and the springs were super noisy in the other. The ceiling in the bathroom was also leaking terribly. The pool was closed and they didn’t provide breakfast at the time they said they would so we didn’t get to eat. The walls are also VERY thin so definitely do not book if you are a light sleeper. As it’s right next to a fairly busy street.

The front desk and staff. Very welcoming. The location was near all of the places I wanted to visit. The door chain was broken off. There were a pair of fake eye lashes stuck to the lamp shade, the room needs to be updated. There was an office chair but no desk. The internet was fair.

How close it was to where I was going The bed looked like a 2 year old made it it looked like shit stains on the sheets the TV remote didn't work I had to go to front desk and get a new one

How close is was to the city. The place looked unsafe with broken power points. The room wasn't clean, the floors were dirty, The shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The laundry was dirty and only 1 machine worked. The breakfast room was average, the breakfast time was 6am to 9am. The cleaners came in and started packing up the breakfast at 8.30am and didn't give any warning that they were doing it.

Did not accept reservation. Claimed last stay I was rude to the staff when I had checked out 2 hours prior to incident.

Easily reachable via Uber/lyft Breakfast – Extremely disappointing. The breakfast offered was the worst I’ve ever experienced. They only provided cereal with a small amount of milk, basic coffee with no milk available, and no drinking water at all—the vending machine even displayed “not working” for the water option. There was just one type of bread, which seemed old and possibly spoiled. No fruits, no eggs, nothing resembling a proper breakfast. After experiencing this on the first day, I chose not to return for breakfast for the rest of my stay, even though I had already paid for it. Poor safety. My room was in Building B, right next to the road, with no fence or barrier—anyone passing by could easily access the area. Every night, random people would come and knock on the door, sometimes multiple times, which was frightening and made me feel unsafe. It’s a terrible environment to stay in. Unprofessional staff. The staff’s behavior and attitude were far from professional.

Room in bad repair, no luggage rack, lamp only on one side of bed, rack falling off wall. Overall, a dump. Expedia should drop them

Nothing. Everything.
- 4/5
Decent place to stay, not too high class, but well worth the money, and walking distance to the stadium
- 2/5
Didn't have breakfast
- 5/5
It was ok
- 3/5
Breakfast was dry cereal and a gallon of milk, some toast or pastries and juice and coffee. Very minimal.
- 1/5
Found bed bugs in the bed
- 1/5
Poor breakfast, unclean facilities, had a hard time taking a shower —the showerhead did not work; I could not turn the knob to use it, so I had to use a bottle of water, poured water into it, and showered that way—outdoor style. The toilet tank cover is broken. It is a little bit pricey for the quality you get.
- 1/5
I stayed at the same hotel a year ago and it was basic but fine. It’s gone downhill fast in the last 12 months. The place has a very sketchy vibe now. I’m not one to write a bad review usually but this hotel actually feels unsafe and i would strongly recommend to avoid. Which is a shame as the location for Downtown is great
- 3/5
The whole place looks run down and mostly unkept. The pictures make it look much nicer than it actually is.
- 5/5
Great staff clean rooms
- 1/5
Door was busted and looked like a break in happened. Blood the size of a quarter on the sheets. No shower curtain. Property looked like it was bombed recently but had a 1970 vintage feel.. staff tried to move reservation to another property BUT too far from the job site. NO REFUND WAS GIVEN.
- 3/5
It’s ok for the price but it’s hard to comeback
- 1/5
The hotel standard is low compare to the amount paid.
- 2/5
Did not care to stay- the hotel is actually 2 in one. The room smelled like marijuana smoke initially- we left for a hockey game and at night it just didn’t feel like a very safe area. The room was dated, but clean. It had a weird smell to it that I didn’t really like. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
That was one of my worst hotel experiences. It’s straight in an area that is not safe for kids. The room is dirty messy the pool looks like it’s fallen apart and isn’t even filled. It has a full working kitchen, but it wasn’t a hot breakfast they had no protein apple juice tasted like water definitely would not recommend stay away from this place.
- 2/5
The room allocation was a bit chaotic. On my first night, someone opened the door (so had the same key) at about 230 am. Luckily I had the chain closed.
- 5/5
Room was good and clean
- 4/5
Easy access to the freeway, and walking distance to Mile High & the Ball arena
- 5/5
Downtown Denver and several sports arena were within walking distance for me. There's plenty of early morning bakery, local lunch spots, and bars in the area. Great views of downtown at night if you're on the right side of the building and the weather is right. I would definitely return to this hotel but there are a lot of things that could have been better, and cleaner.
- 3/5
Unregulared noise in building and other rooms overnight
- 5/5
Staff was courteous and and they had no problem assisting you with a great stay
- 1/5
The room was horrible. The window had masking tape holding it in and the bar that locks it was broken laying on the ledge in front of it. Anyone could open the window and come in. I have pictures to prove my claim! We did not stay there. I want a refund!!
- 1/5
First hour of my arrival there were several cop cars with lights on outside of my hotel room door arresting a couple people. I decided go out with friends and my car was blocked in… two hours later I was finally able to leave. I come back at 2:30 to No working heater in my room and a very thin blanket with a burn hole the size of my fist in it! Mind you it is the winter in Colorado to say I didn’t get a good night sleep that first night is an understatement. Next morning I get up freezing & exhausted. The maintenance “fixes the heater” so I decide to try to take a nap. When I wake up two hours later the heater again is not working, the room is cold and I am still unable to shower due to how cold it is in the room. I go to the front desk again & explained I could not go another night without heat so they moved me to another room. I got in and was so relieved to be in a warm room and was finally ready to take a shower. I go to get in the shower and there was no shower head. They did not think it was inportant to fix the shower for me until the next morning. I literally paid for a hotel with no heat or shower for two days!
- 2/5
Initial room had no heat and heater was not working. But staff was fast to give us a new room. Second room was pretty run down. Handle on shower control fell off due to lack of set screw. And the whole appearance was not very inviting.
- 1/5
Check in and was thrown out
- 3/5
No toilet paper holder and n0t much warm water couldn't take shower and could hear people next to us moving chair around
- 1/5
The room looked like it was not cleaned the shower leeks the lights barely work the microwave is never cleaned it was an all out terrible experience.
- 1/5
This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had staying in a hotel… there was pee dribble on the toilet seat with an unflushed bowl, debris on the bed, the fridge was unplugged and water was all over the place from it defrosting/leaking. Holes in the wall (looked like a peep hole to another room). We went down to the front desk and were luckily relocated to another room which was in a different building-our door barely locked and securely closed… in our new room the sink was filthy and wouldn’t drain.. we finally got situated and found that there were no pillows or toilet paper or waste bins in the room either… leaving us to have to go down to the front desk for a 3rd time… we were shocked at how disgusting these rooms were and the lack of care for the customer stay.
- 1/5
Didn’t even stay because of the conditions and couldn’t cancel my trip because of the hotel.com policy.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the atmosphere was OK
- 3/5
It was ok it's just the walk way to room because you have to carry luggage to far to enter rooms
- 5/5
Very nice place stayed before but canceled this trip
- 2/5
The night front desk lady got into a screaming match with a guest, in front of me and my son. A little crazy.
- 2/5
Dirty, old, and run down. We could see under the outside door and the lock was broken. Sink was clogged up with nasty hair and whatever else was down there. Bed wasn’t comfortable and pillows weren’t supported.
- 5/5
Easy Stay. Good location. Very helpful staff. Good Breakfast. Great Value for money.

Overall it was a pleasant experience.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good and the room too. The cleanliness of the room can be improved a little, specially the floor and bathroom. The first floor was very noisy at night.

It was quite, Homey, clean but some of the workers didn't know English. And the breakfast could be better.

Room basic with micro, fridge, good shower, Great Breakfast, fabulous location and the neighborhood is really pretty safe with other hotels and apartments around it. Staff very helpful. Pets allowed.
- 4/5
Good location. Noise from street and other tenants though
- 5/5
Quiet, well kept room. Staff was nice, good breakfast. Great value for price.
- 3/5
The shower rod is broken and curtain stays open. Toilet roll is broken from the wall. We had no towels in room at all. Does not have a drain plug for a bath.
- 5/5
Great staff, some people in the parking were sketchy
- 3/5
It's all in the name. It's a great place if you're going to the stadium. But the property itself is outdated and even looks sketchy. But inside the rooms it's decent
- 2/5
Tvs not working, half of lights out, hard to get up steps to room, didnt know there was streetside parking, no grassy place for pets. I liked proximity to town.
- 3/5
Breakfast menu was what you would expect from a hotel breakfast
- 5/5
PO perfect balance of value and location for my trip
- 4/5
Room was clean but dated as noted in other reviews. Free parking and walking distance to Ball Arena were definitely a factor for me booking here. Would stay again
- 3/5
Nothing fancy but close to downtown and cost effective
- 4/5
The hotel is just around 1.25 miles from Union Station. If you're a pedestrian or cyclist, be extra careful on the adjacent stroads*. Denver drivers are NOT looking out for you, and are probably texting their boo or trading crypto while they drive. I am not kidding - just observe for yourself. Very short walk back toward downtown for a bunch of good restaurants, just take care for the oontz oontz oontz you may hear. * This is not a misspelling. Look it up.
- 1/5
Staff didn't really seem to care that we showed up, the latch on our room door was completely broke off so the deadbolt was the only form of lock, toilet paper was stuffed into the peep hole, the bottom of the room door was damaged so you could see under the door, cobwebs all over the ceiling, walls were dirty and they put car air fresheners in the air conditioning until. Not to mention the neighbor that was playing very loud music next door. This is the worst hotel I've ever had the displeasure of wasting my money at. It was only supposed to be a one night stay but we ended up just leaving and driving home through the night. They're lucky they're in a very big city. If they operated like this where I live they would be out of business.
- 2/5
Beds are uncomfortable, I was followed by a strange man who also was staying there. There’s mold on the bathroom on the ceiling and the beds are broken. Other than that cheap and close to down town.
- 5/5
Great place to lay your head. Very conveniently located to Downtown Denver.
- 4/5
Good price for accommodation in central city Denver. Has a view that overlooks the city from our room. Bit run down and condition is a bit dated, however we were happy with the breakfast (which included wedges and waffles!). True to what was advertised so bona fide. Gracias to the Budget Inn team.
- 1/5
This place is a dump. The chunks of the concrete broken off the balcony looks in safe. The room was renovated a year ago supposedly but it must have a new job only. The baseboard molding is coming off. The pillows were so flat you might as well not had one. Oh. It to mention the cockroaches my husband killed. The drapes were falling down and one had a hole in it. The drapes hung over the ac/heat and blew over half the bed making it a one person bed. The overgrown weeds over the grounds was very unattractive.
- 1/5
I booked a king room but did not receive it. The room they gave us was just 2 small bed cots but I was charged for a king. Will not be staying at this location ever again
- 5/5
Loved the stay
- 5/5
The service was excellent and the area and room were very quiet and comforting.
- 1/5
The hotel is completely falling apart. The rooms were very damaged and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. I could not get internet in the room. House keeping did not service my room despite my specific call to the front seat to ask for it. It’s clear that the owners have no interest in taking care of this place and instead I just trying to make a quick buck-without any regard for the comfort of their guests
- 2/5
Hotel room is DIRTY. it’s terrible. I’ve never stayed somewhere this disgusting before.
- 4/5
Hotel is listed as three different hotels. It is in great proximity to downtown as well as the sports stadiums. Clean rooms and comfortable beds, give this hotel its worth. Hotel overall condition is in need of physical renovation and repairs.
- 4/5
exactly what i expected for the price; staff was easy to work with, it wasn't too noisy, the room was falling apart a little (trim falling off, shower curtain rod broken, chair stained and had stab marks) but it smelled fine, seemed clean, bedding was clean, and free breakfast. really not bad if you aren't planning on spending tons of time in the room while on vacation.
- 4/5
It was pretty clean, but definitely dated.
- 4/5
Very good price. Room was clean and comfortable but older and not well maintained. It’s a great location and you can’t beat the price for a basic room.
- 1/5
Without trying to sound like a comedian, this place is so bad you wouldn’t rent it for a one night stand. The room was dirty. Dirty walls. Dirty lampshade. I was afraid to walk on floor with no shoes. The desk lamp had built in outlets that barely accommodated a phone charger. The smell of the room. Omg. Kind of like sewage? No garbage can in room. No window to open to air it out. Beds were okay. The free breakfast was a total disappointment and I threw it out. The coffee was disgusting. The bread looked questionable. The room it was in also looked questionable. Positives were the location. About 30 ish minute walk to downtown and baseball stadium. We felt fairly safe, but made sure we parked car infront of hotel. The staff was fabulous. Friendly. Helpful. I’m just surprised how hotels stay in business with rooms like we had. It’s not a 5 star hotel so I didn’t expect a 5 star stay but I’d barely give it a 1. I wanted to leave the second we opened the door to our room. I was embarrassed and felt like a jerk renting it for my friend and I. We spent as little time as we possibly could in it. If I could get my money back I’d ask for it. Could I have asked for a different room? Sure. Was I worried about what room number 2 would be like? Absolutely.
- 1/5
This place should not be a 3 star property. This is the kind of place you should rent by the hour. Stained/soiled chair to sit on. No blankets, front door looked like someone had broken in at one point in time. This place was gross and I don’t recommend to anyone. One thing I do recommend is that Expedia removes it from their sight so no one else gets dupped

Lovely hotel, lovely staff! Thank you Val!
- 4/5
It was good for the area…being close to alot of activities also within walking distance the for the events we attended. Great value for the rooms
- 1/5
When I arrived at the property, there was no one at the front desk, so I waited for over 15 minutes for two people to show up. They recognized the backup of customers waiting, and one of them began to busy herself behind the counter, while the other staff member stepped outside for a smoke break. The room was dirty with several broken or missing amenities. This was the dirtiest and grossest stay I've ever paid for. I know it's not a 5 star hotel, but I think it's a stretch to even rate it 1 star.

Meria, helped me after I booked the wrong date! she gave me a room with a city view!! this was my favorite room on my trip!! room smelled realy good ! nice bed! really soft towels! room 118!
- 1/5
Shower curtains in the bathroom were way too small, got water all over the floor because the curtain didn’t cover both sides. The floors look like they’ve never been cleaned. Would highly recommend wearing socks or shoes when in the rooms or you’ll have black feet. The toilet barely worked. You have to flush more than 1-2 times for it to actually flush. No ice or coffee maker anywhere. For the price you get what you get. Wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Mary always does such a fabulous job at making me feel welcome. Great stay!
- 1/5
Unsafe, broken windows and latches for windo locks. 1 inch gap under door. Could see directly through next to my door. The curtain was short left a 3-4 in view directly into my room where someone outside could see me sleeping or watching TV. Would of had to go into my bathroom to change clothing.

The rooms were not very good, but the location was awesome

Front desk stuff allowed my identity to be stolen . The front desk continue to check people in under my ID after knowing I was not staying there ..
- 5/5
It was good. The receptionist was nice and knew what she was doing. Great location. Beautiful views of downtown . I loved the bed. Maybe next time I come to Denver and stay there the pool will be fixed.
- 4/5
Check in was easy, we had 2 rooms and asked for them to be next to each other which they accommodated. Obviously, this is an older hotel which was fine with me. The bed wasn't awful so that was good. Overall, it had everything we needed, bed bathroom and small refrigerator. I would stay here again.
- 1/5
Worst place I have ever stayed
- 5/5
Care not only About the facility But about their guests
- 4/5
Excellent location. Motel needs to be updated badly.
- 1/5
This property is disgusting. Don’t stay here, not worth it. And they won’t give you a refund even if you leave early.
- 1/5
Never cleaned the room, over bad service and low grade room.
- 4/5
I really like how everything is very close by
- 1/5
This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life!! First room, the fire alarm was ripped off the wall and left on the table, there was no lock on the door, hair everywhere! The next day I got a new room, once again hair everywhere… stains on the bed, paper thin walls, trash on the property, the building is falling apart. Oh and the icing on the cake clearly prostitution going on in the next room, I could hear through the walls and she was up all night in heels pacing back and forth until 3 am until the front desk did something about it. I never write reviews but if I can save at least one person from going through the disgusting experience I did, I will be happy. This place should be condemned and hotels.com should not have it on its website!!!!!!!!

Although the property is older and definitely needs better cleaning, the location was amazing and the surrounding area was great. The staff was too notch.

There was a lovely lady that checked me in. Novia? Navia? Not sure, anyway, she was a delight!

This was the worst hotel I have stayed at since the mid 80s. nothing in the room worked and it was discusting outside everywhere. I felt sorry for the poor girl that had to work the front desk.

I walked in into the hotel around 4 pm Denver time , we requested to see the room first before checking in , because we have had a bad experience in the rooms before at hotels , she gave us the first room number 306 we went there to check it and it was occupied by people we just walked in and they were already laying in the beds what an awkward moment, we apologized and the man in the room sent us back down there as he was saying they checked him in 30 mins ago, we went back down to her I think we were assisted by a girl named Angelic maybe not for sure but she was the manager she said , anyhow we told her that the room is not empty and we need another empty room , she did call that person because she said no the room should be empty I said no there is someone in there , call them or go check , so she did call them and took their name if I m not mistaken their last name was Williamson or Wilson something like this , anyways she did call him and she asked him who gave him this room and investigated the situation, and then she just decided to give us another room that literally was a 45 mins waste of my time , and then she gave us room number 302 we entered the room , we had no light at the entrance , the sheets were dirty all gray and brown and dust on them , and the dust was covering the phone the night stands and the floor please see attached photos , she wasted 2 hours of my day , we have been driving for 9 hours and I am almost 5months pregnant, she won’t refund us our $

Everything was as to be expected it’s an old hotel it’s definitely seen better days but the maids and the staff and the people that live around here all fabulous and the chicken stuff was amazing. I like someone I can have a comfortable conversation with you know.

People knocking on my door after midnight due to ease of street access. Room never cleaned across the 6 day stay.

The receptionist was rude during checkin and not helpful at all. Worst customer service we have experience in a long time. Will never go back!

This room was dirty. Used cuo in the floor and mysterious red stain on wall on bathroom

I called, and they said they could not justify giving me more since they could not confirm what was there—despite them being the ones who threw it away rather than placing it in storage. Given this experience, I can only recommend this place if you take all of your belongings with you at all times. I was here for the 2025 American Educational Research Association (AERA) and National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) conference, and I do not recommend anyone stay here for any professional conference in particular.

I had a 6am flight and had to checkout really early (3:30am) on Sunday but when I went to return the room key to the front desk did not find anyone at the reception after waiting 10-15 minutes. Ended up leaving key in the room before departing to the airport. This is a good option for someone traveling by themselves that just wants a place to rest in Denver for a reasonable price but would not recommend for families traveling with younger children given my experience.

In the three days I was there, the room was never cleaned. I went to the desk for clean towels, and the were very helpful. I asked about the dirty room and they told me the women were working as hard as they could, but it had been a busy week. The area around the hotel does not seem safe and there are no eating options other than the two gas stations on the corner.

The room was terrible. The shower didn't work, and it was very dirty and loud at 3 to 4 am. I feel unsafe!

Literally the ONLY thing good about this place is the location. No blankets on the beds, no hot water in the shower, no maid service in 4 days. When I tried to call the front desk I discovered the filthy phone wasn’t even connected to anything. The bathroom floor was so gross and they gave me a hand towel as a “rug.” The shampoo/conditioner was used, and there was something that kind of looked like blood on the door. You can tell from the minute you walk up it’s filthy and run down. The people at the front desk were nice and quite honestly I felt bad for them because people must complain constantly.

I like the view and how close the commute is to downtown Denver. Also decent staff along with the area it’s located in.
