We booked the efficiency room and had everything we needed, the public areas are well maintained and the room was clean, they cleaned every day. You can just walk like 3 minutes to the beach

We have been staying at this motel for the last few years. The staff is always very helpful and nice. The location is close to the beach and some restaurants. We always enjoy staying in Deerfield Beach and we will definitely be back!

Our room was very spacious. The closest was huge! The kitchen had everything we needed to make ourselves a leisurely breakfast. The pool was big and there is plenty of umbrellas for shade. The gardens are very pretty, we loved the climbing plants. And the beach is only a very short walk away! All in all it was a a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend!

No beach view and we're on the road but because of the landscaping it still felt tropical and quaint.

Listen, you get what you pay for. I wanted a casual place for four rooms where my friends and I could afford to stay for just one night. We wanted to hang poolside and order food in. We used the pool all day, ordered pizza and had cake in the tike hut and enjoyed life with local friends. Even met some other nice people staying at the hotel. But, you get what you pay for. Don't expect luxury linens and the best mattress money can buy. The beds were firm (I personally like that), the linens were worn....but clean! I just need clean. The one bedroom unit has a full kitchen and yes the cabinets are old...but who cares, they work and they are clean. My biggest issue was the sound of the air conditioner. It was sooo loud when it turned on it would wake me up. Again, not a huge deal for one night but don't come for a week and expect to have restful sleep. Again this place was the perfect place to have my birthday weekend with friends. So happy there was an affordable option for an easy staycation. Too many places go the luxury route and price us normal people out of a quick vacation. Thanks to the owners for keeping it simple.

Property was clean but poorly maintained. Beds were uncomfortable, few amenities. Didn't get the room I reserved (king vs double). Good location, spacious, decent for what it is but the maintenance issues made me drop from four to three stars. I let the staff know so hopefully the issues will be addressed quickly.

Easy parking. Room was clean and refreshed daily. Staff was courteous. Pool/area was clean and comfortable. Loved the tiki hut and the beautiful landscaping! Very short walk to the beach and restaurants. Definitely would stay here again, hopefully soon!

Our stay was beautiful and felt like a home away from home. We were right in the middle of all the activities we had planned and had a 3 minute walk to the beach. I would stay here again. The only issue was WiFi didn’t work good at night but I hooked my hotspot up from my phone so it wasn’t a huge issue.

The room was clean, spacious, lighting is a little dark but better in bathroom, the rooms are on 2 levels, has a nice clean pool area and has free self parking. Has a fridge, coffeemaker, and microwave . Great location -short block to the beach.

I love a classic beach motel and this one was beautiful, clean, quiet, and well-maintained. It's a quick walk to the beach and to restaurants and shops. The office team was welcoming and helpful. There was a lot of space to hang out by the pool with plenty of cushioned lounge chairs, a covered tiki area with tables and chairs, and a cute garden in the back. The bed was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the convenience of the kitchenette. The area also felt safe, when walking back in the evening or driving back from a late event.

This was my second time staying here. I really do love it there it is quiet and very relaxing. Only about 1 block to the beach and a very short walk to all shops. I took 1 star away because when we left the room for the beach they cleaned the room and we put our dirty towel on the ground so they knew they were dirty and they just picked them up and folded them back up for us to reuse. I will still stay they again because other than that I love that place.

Perfect for the night. Would stay again. Convenient to all. Bonus was onsite free parking. Nothing fancy. Dated but overall clean-not immaculate.

We loved this room. We loved the location. It was one block away from Deerfield Beach. It was easy access to main roads and for a drive up the coast. The kitchenette was nice, we were able to go to Walmart about 15 minutes away to buy food for breakfast. Had to get use to using an electric stove. We love the canopy by the main office and wanted to ask for one of the coconuts growing on the tree.

This was my second stay while visiting my daughter at FAU. The property is charming and clean. Close walk to the beach and to restaurants and convenience store (711). The rooms are comfy and have everything needed for a nice stay! We will be back. Thank you!!!

A gem with a short walk to the ocean. This is a must stay. We will definitely stay again. If you are considering this property - book it! Mercedes checked us in and she is adorable. All staff very friendly. The pictures are true. Rooms are clean with beach decor. The pool is heated with comfortable poolside chairs. The landscape and rock gardens have personal touches. There is water, coffee, and a small library in the office. They also offer pool towels to use during your stay. We loved that it was a short walking distance to restaurants, shops, and of course the beach. My husband and I traveled with our four children and a grandparent during spring break. We only stayed one night traveling home after a cruise but would stay a week in the future.

There was no beach view. Our sheets dirty. Had hair and stains. Dead bugs smashed on ceiling. The room smelled horrible of mildew. Did not stay. Haven’t gotten my money back yet.

The location and property grounds were great. Pool was heated. The rooms are a little run down. The beds are not very comfortable, pillows flat. The room needed a good spring/deep clean and paint. Kitchen needs to replace old pans, add more utensils. I would stay again if they updated mattresses/pillows, we made do for two nights.

Everything was excellent starting the night we arrived , our flight in was late and hotel called to be sure we were still coming and made arrangements to get us in our room after hours . Apartment style room was spotless, the pool and property were stunning, the staff was welcoming and friendly and to top all of that off, it was just steps from the beach....wonderful!

Great location, easy access to beach, parking right out front, pool is very nice. The rooms themselves are dated, showers need to be upgraded. Beds aren’t particularly comfortable and rooms don’t have the greatest insulation. For a beach motel for a night or two, it’s fine. Rooms looked nice still and staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Anyway, it was just 1 night before a cruise, so we just took the ground floor room. This hotel is like time traveling to 1975! Yes there are some newer pictures and headboards, but the rest is straight from my childhood, literally. There is like 15 coats of paint on all the trim and paint is peeling on the doors (likely because the base coat is 1970’s oil based paint). It wasn’t dirty, accept in the corners and the shower, but it was sooooooo tired and old! Combine that with the less than stellar welcome and I have to say, I wouldn’t stay here again on a bet! The only upside is the beach is a short walk away and it was an ok beach. There are many things I miss about 1975, but motels like this aren’t one of them.

Super location - 1/2 blk off beach, 2 blks to 'downtown' restaurants/bars/shopping. Close enough for easy walk; far enough you don't hear any late night noise. Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful

Very safe. I got here after office hours not checking beforehand that they close at 8pm. Envelope with instructions were sticking at reception door. Could leave suitcases after checkout and was told I could take a shower as well. Very friendly and fantastic location at the beach. Will come back

We had 2 beds in our room; one we couldn't sleep on because the sheets were so pilled and really flat pillows.

Told the receptionist, need 2 towels because of the stains on them, response was aren’t the towels enough for you in the room . I guess because of the language barrier. The lady couldn’t understand why I needed them. But she gave me 2 towels . We didn’t make a deal about it , my wife cleaned the bathroom and just stayed for a night and left the motel on 2nd day. We only needed the room for 1 night anyways. But the location is perfect, as anybody would know who is familiar with the area. Also, free parking is one of the best part of the motel.

This was our 2nd time staying overnight on our trip to the keys. We like the area just a block back from the beach and walking distance to restaurants. The AC had went out the day we checked in and was fixed about an hr after we got in our room. Rooms are clean and the only drawback is the beds are super firm.

This is an older boutique hotel in an area with lots of small boutique hotels that are very similar. It’s proximity to the beach and boardwalk make it the primary attraction for us when we visit Deerfield Beach. The hotel is very well run, clean and reasonably priced, but don’t expect The Hyatt Regency what you’re getting is the beach within a 50 yards walk. The amenities in each room are extremely useful and welcome. wouldn’t hesitate to spend a night here again and probably will.

Carriage House was a lovely 70s era beach motel, that exceeded our expectations. The location was fantastic. The price was a great value.The property was exceptionally maintained. The room was quite nice with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, real glassware, and very comfortable beds. The hosts (Mercedes and Suzanna) were delightful and welcoming.It appears this is a family style motel, with many returning guest. It was great for husband and me; no overly exuberant guests, everyone was very respectful and used the pool and dining area appropriately.I definitely feel I would come back here again.

Great place. Friendly local people in staff. Decent pool. Very clean and laidback. Very noisy children (parents fault not theirs) allowed to shout and scream at 11pm. Very irresponsible. Mattresses need changing for new too. Otherwise great stay.

We enjoy staying at this motel. It's very clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. The last time we stayed we did have some noisy guests at night at the pool (after pool hours), which can happen at any hotel, but they left after a few days so thankfully it was more quiet and all turned out well. We have stayed at this motel several times and returning in October.

The property is older and the beds were absolutely horrible. I think sleeping on a concrete slab would’ve been more comfortable. The AC stopped working through the course of the night. Woke up in a very hot room a very uncomfortable bed.

great location. staff was very helpfull... needs some TLC to be 5 star..

Perfect little hotel room with everything you need including pots and pans, glassware, even an extra rollaway bed! The staff was very friendly and the property was in immaculate condition! We had an issue at check-in because the key was not working to our room and we had to leave our door unlocked for a couple of hours… Also, the toilet would not flush! But other than those minor issues, I enjoyed my stay and look forward to staying in the future!

I always have a positive experience at this motel, they checked us in promptly and even upgraded my room free of charge. I will continue to visit this location.

This property was in the perfect location for our needs. Easy to walk to the beach and down town. Staff was wonderful and very friendly. I would stay here again.

Close to beach

This is an old motel that has been updated. Nothing fancy but it is clean and comfortable. Very short walk to the beach as well as restaurants. There is some road noise since it is located on A1A but nothing that kept us awake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Hotel is dated and in need of remodeling and updating. The reviews we read online before booking do not match what we saw in our stay here. Not very clean, an old dated, bathroom with rusty fixtures. Not very clean either. Our entry/exit door didn't close and we found it open and blowing in the wind several times. The lock and door keeper need work or replacing. Hotel was in a great area and location, but we would not consider staying there again unless completly remodeled and updated to get out of the 70's.

They were so welcoming. When the Expedia screwed up our reservation, they quickly helped us when Expedia said that there was nothing they could do. They absolutely saved our vacation!!

This is an older property, as you can tell by the photos. I loved the charm. It's quaint and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly. 3 minute walk to beach. 8 minute walk to bars/resturaunts (or less, depending on which ones you choose). No issues to report

Hard to find. GPS was wrong. Once there no issues.well kept in a good area. Coffee pot provided but no coffee. Overall, very reasonable. Will be back.

The hotel was very dated.

The motel was close proximity to the beach and restaurants. It was fairly clean, but it did have a musky odor in the room. Pictures make it look nicer than it is. If you just need a quick place for the night, it’s worth the money.

This is the classic example of a “before” shot in those HGTV home renovation shows. It was probably great once, but not now. Poorly maintained and borderline clean. The lights didn’t work in the bathroom - I literally had to grab the desk lamp and plug it in by the bathroom mirror so I could see. The bed was hard and super creaky. Don’t get tempted by the low price. Pay $50 or even $100 more and get a room you’ll enjoy.

I thought this was a nice little place to stay near the beach. Sure, it’s a little dated but it was cozy, clean, and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Nice clean motel with the amenities of home and only 100 yards from the beach and a nice walking path with shops and restaurants. Great place for families with kids.
